Montana Sky

I smelled this in store and immediately liked it, but I really fell in love with this when I wore it on my skin.=. It starts out very sharp and fresh, invigorating and herbal, like a bundle of fresh herbs and pine needles or a soothing spa in the woods. Then it dries down to a very dry, warm, ambery, deeply comforting wood. It reminds me of the wood inside a sauna, or the body of a resin-coated violin. I wore this to a holiday dinner and my friend loved it on me. She was actually wearing Glossier You Doux (the white one) and we both agreed that they smelled similar -- Montana Sky is fresher and more herbal, while Doux is warmer and more ambery. I use it as an every day perfume, and it's great for working in an office or going to the gym.I've already finished half my bottle in a few months and bought one for my mom who loves it too. It smells really expensive and I agree with other reviews saying that it smells niche. If you like woody and fresh scents, more "masculine" and not sweet scents, you should definitely try this.

It's a beautiful smell! As someone who is bad at describing perfume via specific notes it makes me think of hay/dry grasses/wood, a smoky bonfire in the distance (but pleasant). There's an overtone of something pungent/herbal and slightly off putting but I can't figure out what it is. It smells like either a spice or a specific kind of of grass maybe? There's a subtle floral sweetness to it from what I assume is black elder flower. Overall I like it! It gives Santal 33 cool girl vibes but herbal and grassy instead of cardamom straight in your face. It's pretty unisex as well; I can see both men and women wearing it. The only thing I'll deduct from it is that frankincense/olibanum tends to give me a headache so I'm kind of sad I might not get to wear it because it's otherwise a very ideal smell for me!

Someone said this is good for fans of Eilish #2 perfume so I bought it for $7 on Ulta. It is very similar (less woody, more earthy and deep). It really reminds me of nature. Dark, woody, earthy, masculine leaning. The cypress, cedar, and vetiver are heavy with a bit of herbal spice in the background. It smells like heavenly cloudy dark forest after rain. The longevity is a bit disappointing :( but if you spray a lot it’s the longevity of an average body spray (5/10 longevity imo). But very affordable for a beautiful fragrance. I realized it’s funny as hell how Pacifica put this fragrance in a pretty pink girly box with unicorns and sparkles when it is a masculine fragrance 😂😂😭😭

y'all i found this at ulta for 6.75 usd...at that price i didn't really care what it smelled like, but i'm extraordinarily impressed :) minty, herbal opening with a lasting woody note on the skin. it's reminiscent of both vapor rub and incense. i can see how people are saying it's a masculine scent, but to me i see a earthy hippie gal burning cedar incense cones and drinking mint tea in her cozy montana cabin <3

such a pleasant surprise! I tried this while I was bored in ulta and had to get it, it’s so much more sophisticated than it ever needed to be. it’s fresh, herbal, woodsy and easy to wear. and so affordable! love!

This is a GORGEOUS unisex scent. It seems silly they made the packaging so girly, I think a lot of men would enjoy this one. It's such a clean, fresh woody scent, this may be my new favorite in this category!

Herbal, earthy, and lovely. Cedar and vetiver are the stand out notes for me. It’s like taking a stroll through a forest...so refreshing and grounding.

such a calming scent. very much unisex! i love to layer this with a chocolate or vanilla for a more fem feel! <3

I tried this today in Ulta, and immediately felt like snatching up all the bottles and moving them to the guys' fragrance section. I always, always say -'Who cares?! Wear what you like!'; but this is super masculine. It's honestly astounding that it costs so little, because this humble little fragrance smells absolutely niche. I know, I know..."niche is a nebulous term", but you absolutely know what I mean. The vetiver, resins and herbal notes create a wonderfully earthy profile. There's a distinct cooling effect that vetiver produces, which is clear here. It's not a light fragrance at all, and it's a little dirty, but it's refreshing too. It's peppery and the note is quite obvious, but its within balance and doesn't become...you know, sneezy. This is just wonderful and I'm so glad to have discovered it! I think I might get a bottle for my husband, I'd like it more on him, although I would definitely wear it myself too.

Although this is a nice blend of notes for the cooler weather, the perfume lost it's scent notes within year. My himalayan pachouli did not do that but pachouli is one of those notes that withstands the test of time longer then lighter scent notes. Just like finery, they hope people will use the fragrance up so fast that no one will notice they don't last all that long. Using inferior ingredients and mass marketing is ruining mid range fragrances and I tend to avoid companies that have fragrances that don't last as they should or are expensive( out of affordable range). I might try island vanilla but until pacifica corrects their perfume's lasting power issue I won't be purchasing from them.

I ordered this on amazon because it is 75% off, and I figured why not? It took a while to arrive (about 3 weeks, I got it today), but the wait was worth it! Pacifica scents are hit and miss with me, but omg, this one! The sage comes through so nicely. Then I get a beautiful breeze of pine needles, then something reminicent of smokiness, followed by a very, very faint elderberry scent. (Done perfectly) It's so good and I can imagine this becoming a favorite! I am ordering a backup bottle because I love it so much. Definately unisex, but I, as a very feminine woman, adore earthy fragrances if done right. This one is it! Rate- 7.5/10

I recently purchased this fragrance, and, while I don't love it, I like it more than a little💚! At first spray, it is a strong earthy scent. But I detect no patchouli, as others have mentioned. The best of this fragrance is 10-20 minutes in, when it becomes an intensely calming outdoorsy scent. It takes me to an early spring evening or fall afternoon in the country. It really encompasses it's name!! If you can overlook the initial spray, it metamorphosizes into a lovely fragrance which lasts for several hours.

I picked this up several years ago at a retail store and it is still going strong. It has been to other countries with me, to the gym with me, to work with me, and used as a room/bathroom spray. It's such a good staple clean-woodsy scent that works well with my body chemistry. I don't exactly see myself replacing it when it's gone but for now, I am delighted it has been so reliable and consistently great for the price!

This is such a lovely surprise of a scent. It’s on the masculine side of unisex. It opens sharp and spicy, before drying into an herbal and woods scent. It's an interesting, being somehow both fresh and smoky at the same time. It won’t be for everyone, but I enjoy it.

smells exactly like burnt wood but i really like it. not sure what occasion it would suit and the scent doesn't resemble any notes listed whatsoever but i'm down to smell like charcoal.

The only thing I smell is petrichor, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but not at all what I was expecting. Fresh, clean scent, like rain in the woods. Definitely unisex.

I picked this up because it was on the clearance rack at Ulta for $7. I was surprised to see that there's no patchouli in the notes, because it immediately reminded me of a head shop. I guess it is the cedar and sage? This probably would have been my signature scent twenty years ago when I was in my hippie era, but my tastes have changed and it doesn't really suit me any more. I do, however, occasionally use it as a room spray when I meditate because it is calming and grounding

Fantastic value! To my nose, it's a soft green and aquatic scent, very fresh and woodsy. Unfortunately, according to everyone else I've asked, this one turned into pure pickle juice on me; skin chemistry just didn't work out. I had the entire house complaining after a single spray on each wrist. I still like it and don't get that dill scent much myself, but it's probably something I'll only wear on days when I'm not going out.

Something about it is so masc-musk and synth that it doesn't work for me personally. Also way too sour on my skin. I guess it must be the petitgrain, cumin, and cypress combo. Very SOUR!!! Smells like soured cream with bitter citrus spices on a cypress/santal base. I agree with carrie, this one is almost exclusively petitgrain, so much PETITGRAIN (it's tart and green). I love elderflower blossom, and most of the other ingredients, so was bummed this just doesn't work.

I found that, on me, Montana Sky smells strongly of stale cigarettes. I waited about 15 minutes into the drydown, but didn't experience much improvement. If this is what Montana smells like, I'm disappointed :b Not a winner on my skin chemistry.

Surprised how much I LOVE this! Very fresh uplifting name is fitting! Wish it lasted longer!! They priced this one the cheapest!? So snag it now!As it’s the best one! Some pepper and sandalwood and this fresh slight citrus (petitgrain) truly a breath of fresh air! It feels like when you’re in the forest near a mountain a lake and breeze comes by and you can smell the trees the stream the earth just wow for $7!! also giving pacific NW! Love love love!!! So if someone knows a longer lasting version of this? LMK! Think I made need Liis Bo? Mmmm

Seems like it has florals in it, but I think that’s the petitgrain and sage together. Woods and green notes, check. Cumin, nope, (Yay!) and so far nothing that reads as black pepper, but liking this! Will have to try more to see if I want more, but so far, it’s pretty nice. I don't get the voted similarity to Wonderwood at all: Wonderwood was a shrieking mess on me that made me feel a bit queasy. None of that is here; Totally different animals on my skin.

Blind bought the body spray based off notes alone. I was not disappointed. One of my all time favorite perfumes is Bo by Liis. This reminds me a lot of that. If you like Bo, you will like Montana Sky. The body spray was $14 and it’s plenty strong and a nice mist you can put in your hair as well. I love it and if I use it all I’ll definitely buy the perfume next. Will be a staple for fall/winter.

Wow, this is a less peppery/sharp dupe for Comme des Garcons Wonderwood. Honestly, my favorite part of Wonderwood is the creaminess, and Montana gives that without the pencil shavings that I sometimes get from Wonderwood. Other people saying this hits like a niche fragrance are spot on in my opinion.

Smells just like skin so soft body oil. Growing up and still today my whole family used this on summer nights for bugs, so for me it’s very comforting and fresh.
