Silver Moon

Update a couple months after: I’m more and more in love with this simple scent! I layered yesterday with my OG glossier you roller ball, and holy cow!! So the glossier you made the spices in this pop a bit!? Sooooo nice layered with glossier you!! The silver moon helps GY out by making it more than just the woody white noise skin scent and the GY helps silver moon by helping with projection and brightening it up! IN LOVE!!!! This is going to Be a forever spring duo for me and fall time too!! Yum! Ohhhh I LOVE this!! I’m 55 originally a poison signature scent girlie since 17/1987, how did I NEVER wear nor try Hypnotic Poison!?? Also known for its almond playdoh.. I sold my last full bottle of poison the other day! I was over it all of a sudden!? I am STILL and forever a spicy tuberose amber girlie (alien fusion is my now signature scent-of course discontinued ) pls help me by writing to Mugler!! But? as I’ve aged,kids left the nest, been thru cancer, had my heart broken by my second husband (apparently he was in the closet, men? Be honest with your girls) for the tenth and last time? No more letting icky men break my heart...I’m no longer sadly, that wild Gypsy woman who believed in fate and love ehh 🙄 I realized IT; intensity, no longer fit who I am NOW! I’ll always have fond memories! And I’ll probably re purchase a vintage bottle Dior Poison edp from 87... back to this .. This doesn’t shout, like my past beloved, it whispers but stays a somewhat solid companion, offering wafts of vanilla playdoh almond ... she’s soft and snuggly. Cozy. Steady and trustworthy Just like im done with my wild years and my Poison, this Silver Moon, fits who I am NOW, what I CRAVE now! I don’t crave, wild crazy falling in love passion, anymore nor, expecting a man to do the right thing (how silly of me) I don’t expect them to stick around and realizing that, my ideal love of having passion and a best friend in one, just isn’t happening by now....I give up.. I realize that the babies I raised? Can be the most cruel of all. Using silence as a weapon when raising them? Giving birth teaching them? Carrying them with you for 9 months reading them books at night? And suddenly the nest is empty. This Moon? Reminds me of those calmer times, little special sweet moments of my babies growing.... Now gone Alone. And I want softer safer and steady... she may not last long on my skin, but she sticks around on my clothes and she helped me realize that I love different types of things now... I use to always ask FIRST when researching a new scent, “but does it last, project, is it strong”!? There were NO skin scents for me or perfumes like this that only last a few hours if that long at all. Now? I’m open to a grower and not a shower! A more steady kind of love ....

Yes, yes yes! All of the notes listed are up my alley. I absolutely am a vanilla girl, but this has more than just that. It's not as boring as vanilla birthday cake as others say. It DOES have strong vanilla. It's definitely a note that exists through all phases, but the white floral and green notes here absolutely help it out to be more balanced. I was trying to figure out what one of the base notes was before looking it up, cause it has a bit of....a body scent to it...and it's the musk. It personally makes my mouth water...mixed with the slight boozy vibe...this is absolutely going to be something I enjoy wearing all winter. It's a cozy knit blanket, cuddling with your partner while having a drink together on the couch during date night at home, and you light some candles to "set the mood" kind of vibe...but you're both cracking inside jokes only you to get to eachother. The name is perfect, because at some point while it's changing on the skin, it does have a sliver vibe to it....not super sharp or anything, maybe it's the salinity of the skin pulling something musky, pheromone, metallic-esque skin scent out? But I can see why it's named this. It's like moonlight shining on the very edges of objects outside that's glistening in the dark. It is very sexy...it's a playful sexy, cause these scents tend to lean more youthful than mature IMO...so it's something that's fun to wear to a party or outing with people, OR on a date night or spending intimate time with someone. It def has more or a baked good smell than say dream, flower or neon moon...but not as much as blue moon...that one absolutely is the most gourmand I've smelled out of this collection so far. This is a nice middle ground before they start to smell more floral, green, fruit or fresh. It has a nice balance of vanilla to green + more.

Although it isn’t new, I’ve recently fallen in love with Hypnotic Poison. I bought a bottle and am frustrated by the fact that it completely vanishes from my skin without a trace in less than 1 hour. Due to its price and how fleeting it is, I find myself reluctant to wear it, knowing I will burn through the bottle very quickly. I have searched for a good dupe to wear “around the house” or layer with the OG to improve longevity, but have had no luck. Today, I stumbled on Silver Moon in TJ Maxx. The second I smelled the atomizer I said “Hypnotic Poison”! This lasts hours on my skin and I am currently wearing them side by side and my nose does not detect a difference. Year-round appropriate and signature scent worthy, a beautiful, soft, soothing, feminine, ethereal almond vanilla. What a great find!

This perfume smells so good! It’s soft, cozy, warm, and feminine. It lasts 6-8 hours on my clothes and hair. It’s not overpowering, but people who are close to you will notice your scent. My husband told me I smelled really good when I was wearing this. And you can’t beat the price! This could sell for a lot more money, and people would buy it. I can imagine this being nice anytime of day and in any season. I don’t think it would be too cloying in the heat.

Whew! I think this one is ALL about body chemistry. This smells delicious on me in every form, from first spray to dry down, both the body spray and perfume. It is very sweet but not sugar sweet. I do not think it smells like BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar, though they share that vanilla note. It's warmer and more complex. Strong cozy vibes, good on its own or layered.
