Tuscan Blood Orange

Sorry, I'm not trying to sound like a broken record, but this is not a one note wonder either... As described from Pacifica, "juicy and spicy Blood Orange is offset with subtle Strawberry and Raspberry notes and grounded in fleshy Mandarin and Italian Sweet Orange." My personal opinion on this fragrance, it's really bright, fruity, and I enjoy it. I cannot claim that I am able to smell each type of orange Pacifica listed, but I can tell you what I did smell. True, when you first spray this on (my skin anyway) you smell only the spicy blood orange. In less than five minutes it does start to let the beautiful berry notes out to mingle too. I first smelled strawberries mixing with the blood orange, but then I did notice the raspberry note come into the mix. It seems like as the spicy part of the blood orange dies down, or maybe it's a totally different type of orange taking it's place, then the raspberry has room to come out and play. It's a very realistic scent of both strawberry and raspberry; it doesn't smell like someone sweetened them up with a cup of sugar or anything else for that matter. I'm really impresses with how spot on this fragrance is when it comes to the fruity notes actually smelly like you literally just cut into one at your kitchen counter! So, yes, I really do enjoy this fragrance. That being said, I would only give it 4 out of 5 stars. The reason being the short staying power it had on my skin. I can maybe get 3 or 4 hours out of it on a good day. I also have to say, Pacifica's fragrances are very reasonably priced, so if I have to refresh it throughout the day it's not really a big deal. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fruity fragrances without any floral notes, enjoy!

Love love this scent! A great citrusy sweetness! It doesn't last long though and the silage is weak, but I don't mind spraying it numerous times a day especially with the affordable price. If you are/were looking for a good, solid orange scent, I feel this one works AMAZINGLY. It's such a fun, mood-lifting smell. If you are/were considering Orange Sanguine or Clementine California from Atelier Cologne like I was, this one is much sweeter. Orange Sanguine and Clementine California I'd say is much more tarte or bitter, and I feel like they might be considered more of a purer or authentic orange scent. I thought that's what I wanted, but when I tested the Atelier Cologne perfumes in-store, I found myself surprisingly more attracted to Tuscan Blood Orange. With that, Tuscan Blood Orange leans much more feminine and the Atelier Cologne perfumes lean more unisex/masculine.

Not a terribly sophisticated perfume--it has the dessert-y sweetness of an orange creamsicle milkshake. As a gourmand in the guise of a citrus perfume, it has a slight kiss of vanilla and candied orange rind on the dry down after the first notes of a slightly sour, somewhat realistic and very juicy orange. Don't pick this one for complexity, as the notes don't transform more than that. It's my comfort smell due to its its versatility and lack of sexual overtones/drama (especially crucial in situations that warrant prettiness but not "hitting on you" vibes, like seeing coworkers outside of work). Not over the top feminine either, and I could see other genders less insecure about tradition wearing this, though it definitely leans feminine. Namely, the orange is not terribly floral but the sweetness isn't masculine.

(I am writing this review based solely off the hair & body mist)! I got this for my birthday last year and I love it! I actually wouldn't call the mist true to a blood orange scent— there is a subtle sweet orange smell but it doesn't bring blood orange directly to mind. Instead, it smells JUST like Fruity Pebbles? I don't even mean that in a bad way, it's one of my favorite scents to use, especially after hopping out of the shower or just to spray in my hair before class, but it smells like a citrusy Fruity Pebbles scent! Just like the French Lilac mist, also by Pacifica, the mist is so subtley sweet and I could not imagine it overpowering anyone at all— Pacifica makes their hair & body mists alcohol free so there is no unpleasant sharpness to punctuate this lovely scent.

This smells like someone is eating an orange in the same room as you, and they peeled it with their hands so the oils from the rind get crushed and released. There is no complexity or maturity to this, and it really doesn't smell like perfume- it smells like orange oil. I imagine this would be nice after a long day at the beach, when you take a shower and put on big comfy clothes and some aloe vera on your skin. For the first 10 minutes, this has insane projection. Everyone in the room will smell you. And then within an hour, the scent is almost entirely gone, unless you sniff your skin. My boyfriend is crazy about this, but he loves citrus. Not my fave, but I like using it while I study to give me a little energy.

A soft, almost-linear orange and sugar scent. I don't really get the raspberry and strawberry, just true, realistic orange that gets sweeter as it dries down. It lasts maybe a couple of hours and the sillage is quite intimate, but I'm often surrounded by people who are easily put off by fragrances, so I actually appreciate its politeness, especially at work. When it gets on my clothes and I catch traces of it the next day, there's something sweet and almost floral to it. It doesn't change much as it dries down, but I enjoy every stage of its evolution. Not a challenging perfume, just a very pleasant one that I reach for often. (Given the longevity, sometimes VERY often. But it doesn't cost much.)

I’ve wanted to buy this for a long time, I’ve never smelled it but based on the notes I thought I would love it and I was right! I got it today, sadly even with a 22% mark down it was still forty dollars for a 30mls bottle which I find kind of excessive but will still pay it lol if you like orange scented perfumes you’ll love this. This is 100% blood orange through and through. So much so that when it first hits your nose it can be a bit much but within a few minutes it settles beautifully into a very sweet fruity orange scent. Comparable to Ellis Brooklyn West, Skylar Capri Summer and many other orange scented perfumes. If citrus scents , especially orange is your jam....pick this up!

This one has been my all time favorite for over a decade now. The blood orange scent is just beautiful, and I don’t mind that it fades away after an hour or so because it just means I get to reapply and experience it all over again! In the regular perfume, I don’t really get a whiff of the berry notes, but in the TBO hair and body spray, the berry is much stronger to the point where it smells like fruit loops, which I don’t really mind, but it isn’t as good as that strong orange. Very good for normal daily wear, especially during the summer time. I never leave home without the rollerball in my purse! The price is pretty good for what you get.

I've wanted to try this forever but would always shy away because everyone always says the longevity sucks. They were right. But it does smell AMAZING! Like the most delicious orange candy you could ever smell. Perfect amount of sweet, tangy and juicy. It reminds me of the various dupes of Capri Blue Volcano I've had and loved. I've yet to buy the actual Capri one because majority of reviews say it doesn't last either. I will most likely buy the Pacifica one again as long as it's still under $20.

Smells EXACTLY like a juicy tangerine or mandarin orange, with the sweetness. Literally mouth-watering, and makes me crave oranges when I wear it. This is a perfect fragrance for spring and summer. I think it would be lovely paired with a nice vanilla. Unfortunately, on my skin, this lovely scent is short lived and the sillage, almost non-existant. This is the unfortunate downfall of this perfume. But I keep a roller-ball because I crave the scent at times.;)

I bought this in its solid form a million years ago and loved it, as one of the first perfumes I bought for myself. I bought the roll-on and the spray later on, and I still love it. I don't know how I never picked up on the strawberry, but I totally smell it now, and it adds a very sweet, juicy quality. This one is really pleasant to wear in the summer, on a hot day. It's not complicated and artistic, it's just a really fun, sweet, citrusy perfume.

Simplistic is a good thing in this case. The fruitiness has got that sour, sharp edge that makes your mouth water a little bit and the sides of your mouth tighten up. If I didn't know it was supposed to be blood orange, which I have eaten maybe twice in my life, I'd think it was grapefruit and nectarine. Not getting any strawberry or raspberry but I'm getting a warm serotinal note, like a ripe golden apple, that balances the tanginess.

Pure, sweet orange citrus. That’s all. And that’s all there needs to be for this fragrance. It’s fruity bliss: energetic, bubbly and sunny. Very enjoyable for the entirety of it’s wear. A favorite of mine. Really the only other perfume I like from the Pacifica brand is the Persian Rose, which particularly well represents the persian rose aroma. Every other perfume I’ve tried from them is a miss in my opinion.

I blind bought this spray perfume on sale at Ulta for $11 and I am not disappointed! This opens with a hint of strawberry but then it smells like the flesh of the fleshiest, sweetest, juciest blood orange and grapefruit which slowly morphs into an Orange Starburst and then into an Orange Popsicle. This perfume is delicious! Perfect for hot days at the beach, sipping sangrias and watching the world go by.

Pacifica can be hit or miss but this is a definite HIT. It's hard to find an orange scent that doesn't smell like Fast Orange. Is it 1 note? Yep. Does it turn into a skin scent after 3 hours? Yep. STILL WORTH IT. I like using this as an after shower scent and it works great for layering. Spray it on your clothing if you want some longevity. 9/10

This was the one that made me a Pacifica fan. I was told it's a dupe for Lush's Karma, which was out of my price range at the time. And it's similar, but not quite a dupe. I loved the blood orange note, and the opening is strong, but it faded pretty quickly on me, and it of course lacks complexity.

hello i just got this today and i like it very much got this at target stores love the fact it does not have alot of junk in it to smell good this is done in small batches with the use of essential oils i think if your on the fence about this one go to target store and try some for yourself

Imagine a blood orange hard candy and that is this perfume. It’s very youthful, linear, poor longevity but it’s fun and bright and good for lifting a mood. I really like it, I wish it lasted a bit longer, but for the price respraying isn’t a huge issue.

OMG Yumminess! Love it! Fresh and fruity sweet. Smells EXACTLY like the old school Body Shop fruit shaped soap bars from the 90s and transports me straight back to those pre teen days when TBS products were all the rage :) IMO the best Pacifica yet!

Wildly edible - smells the same way San Pellegrino Aranciata Rosso tastes. Like most of the other Pacifica perfumes, not complicated, but I want to eat my wrists whenever I'm wearing it, so does it matter? Pairs perfectly with a sundress.

One of my favorites my wife wears. Well blended and complex. Warm and crisp at the same time. Clean warm citrus floral. One that beckons you to lean closer. Nothing cloying or sweet. Wish the bottle was bigger, sturdier, and had a cap.

This is my daily scent. I layer the body butter, hand lotion and body oil. It is the best scent I have ever found for improving my mood and for layering. The bonus is that the products actually work well, and smell great!

I bought perfumes directly from Pacifica and I got this soap as a gift. WOWSA! I can't wait to get the perfume. It's a juicy orange, but a little bit more like a blood orange creamsicle. My bathroom smells so good!

I have the solid perfume version. It's fresh, clean and refreshing and one of the scents you cannot overdo even if you tried. One of the best citrus fragrances around.

Absolutely love this.. love oranges.. doesn't last long but I do not care it's just a fun silly scent. Haven't re purchased yet but maybe soon.

Grabbing a perfect orange and ripping into the flesh as the juice squirts out everywhere. That bright citrus tangy burst. That's this perfume.

Smells strongly like juicy, fruity oranges. It doesn't last super long on the skin, but it does linger a little longer on clothes.

This is a wonderful, realistic candied blood-orange scent. Unfortunately, it dissipates after about 5 minutes.

I adore this - it layers perfectly and can be modified to wear year round :)

Bright, summery citrus. Daytime scent. I like it when I want to smell like basic, straight orange. It’s pretty flat dimensionally (I get a lot of orange plus a hint of tea), but if you love citrus, as I do, it’s nice to use sometimes. Has this “just bathed in blood orange juice” feel to it. Okay for layering but it doesn’t last long. If you want a sophisticated or high-end orange, this is not it. It’s simple and uncomplicated. For a more mature citrus, I’m enjoying Jo Loves Pomelo. ▪️Safe blind buy: citrus lovers — yes, as long as you understand it’s a cheap basic citrus fragrance that doesn’t last. ▪️Longevity: bad. Reapply regularly. ▪️Gender: feminine, but not too sweet ▪️Age Group: any age! Suitable for an eight-year-old and a 30 year old.

This is a very nice orange, especially for the price. It smells tart and dry like a blood orange specifically too, not like a miscellaneous orange cleaner smell. You get more of a plasticky strawberry note in the base, but it's pleasant and interesting in my opinion. Blood Orange is a happy, energizing scent, really good for groggy mornings and probably layering. I think for the price point, this is a great alternative to niche citruses ala Atelier. The quality is more on par with the fruity offerings of Victoria's Secret sprays, but this shouldn't be dismissed if you're looking for a basic orange scent. Like others have said, this doesn't last very long but at least it's affordable. EDIT: Smells like orange sorbet to me today.

This smells like Sunny Delight! It's much sweeter than blood orange -- blood orange is extremely sour and a touch bitter. This smells like a much sweeter orange juice, to my mind just like Sunny Delight. If you like your orange very sweet then you'r probably love it. It's very refreshing and lasts long for a citrus, a good wake up scent. But it's not at all tart like you'd expect a blood orange scent to be. I think it would be better named "orange juice" rather than blood orange, it's just not sour enough. If you'd like a more true undiluted blood orange note, I would suggest Atelier Cologne's Orange Sanguine.

It is what it says it is - orange. As someone mentioned earlier, it is certainly on the sweet side of orange because of the addition of red fruits. Not very long-lasting, but I really use it as more of a pick-me-up anyway. I definitely prefer Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine, which is unfortunately much more expensive. If you are a fan of Orange Sanguine, I don't think this will satisfy you - it's not the same type of orange (OS is spicier), though still a lovely bargain scent. I doubt I'll repurchase, but I will enjoy my rollerball until it's used up.

The sweetest, juiciest orange fragrance I've ever tried! It reminds me of orange flavored Fanta. I think it best suits the heat of summer, it's a nice zesty & energizing scent that seems to perk me up every time I sniff it! I get tons of citrus with some raspberry in the background, adding sweetness. It's actually quite tart when I smell it right from the bottle, but it's quite nice! Sometimes, I carry the rollerball just to smell it when I crave the invigorating scent of Tuscan Blood Orange!~ Longevity: 2 hours Sillage: Soft

This perfume smells amaaazing at first, like a blast of tangy orange, but I was very quickly disappointed. The orange dissappears in about one minute flat and I'm left with a sweet strawberry (too sweet for me) smell that is also barely detectable. I love the scent upon initial spray and I wish it would stick around. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this perfume because has absolutely no longevity so you have to use a TON of it. It's basically a waste of money. This is really more like a body spray than a perfume.

This is very natural and wearable for a fruit scent, and I'd seriously consider getting this if it lasted longer. It starts off smelling like orange juice and berries, and ends smelling mostly like fresh berries and soap. The berry smell is natural, and smells like real fruit. the soap smell is so subtle that I wonder if I'm imagining it- this soft clean scent like a lightly scented bar of white soap from the drugstore, nice and clean, but soft and subtly scented. Unfortunately this only lasts about an hour on me.

Like a lot of my favorites, this one has a misleading name - there's nothing blood orange about it, it's actually just a very sweet mandarin orange scent. I don't get a single other note, but that's okay! This is pretty much exactly what I want in an orange scent. Just bright, cheerful, realistic citrus. Works great on its own or as a layer (I love to use it with marine scents), and it actually lasts fairly well. I get a good four to five hours out of it, it does sit close to the skin pretty early on though.

Ugh I adore this one. Sweet, realistic mandarin orange slices. The initial spray showcases the zesty sharpness of the peel, but as time progresses that sharpness fades into the background and the sweet, juicy pulp evolves into something softer. Thankfully, this one doesn't give off too much of that "bathroom cleaner" vibe that a lot of cheaper citrus scents tend to have. Very straightforward and cheery, great in the summer heat. Doesn't last long, but longevity is fine for the price point.

Did this get reformulated? If so, I have the OG formulation, got it a long while ago. I didn't know this had other fruit notes in it at first, and I was curious what else I was smelling in the opening. Now I recognize the strawberry and raspberry! But this is first and foremost orange, of course, and it is a pleasant orange. Very juicy, more like the inside of the orange than the outside. If you are looking for a rind/zest scent, Replica's Never-ending Summer is one to check out! :)

I remember doing a blind buy on this fragrance, and it was a good one for keeping me energized, due to the fruity/citrus notes; I remember getting compliments on it. But it reminded me of the smell of Smarties candy...from the beginning to the end with no dimension on my skin, which wasn't long (and yes, the Starburst/Life Savers candy were shaking in their "boots," as it were, whenever I wore this). I gave it to my sister instead, who is a fan of big time fruity fragrances.

I am surprised at how much I enjoy this one. I was expecting a basic, non-descript orange scent given the name, but this is certainly not. Pacifica's website says there are notes of strawberry, raspberry, mandarin and Italian sweet orange in addition to the blood orange. Personally, I don't smell any berries in this. For me, Tuscan Blood Orange actually smells like a gentle floral-orange-tea scent. It's not overly sweet, but it is a hint spicy. Really lovely!

I like this quite a bit. It's a nice, slight sweet, very citrus scent. I'm not smelling any orange whatsoever. Any of the berry scents are non-existent. The commenter who said a ruby red grapefruit scent was spot-on for how this smells on me. I'm getting a TON of grapefruit & little else except a sweet, almost sugary scent. Not much spice. I do like it, but it is not what I expected.

It’s a great value imo. I would say the best way to describe this would be a sharp sparkling orange with a little bit of extra depth and sweetness in the base. Overall very pleasant, love it. Also I know that mixing is a controversial topic, but I like to mix this with the Indian coconut also from Pacifica just to amp up the sweetness and add some lasting power.

Yummy, but fairly linear--which is okay if you like natural, juicy fresh scents. Pacifica's website lists petitgrain and tangerine, which adds to blood orange's slightly bittersweet roundness. This tends a little toward a ruby red grapefruit scent. Recommended for layering if you want something a little more as this really is a pure, uplifting scent.

What a gorgeous mixture of orange notes with a touch of other fruits in the top. Energizing, fresh, juicy, sparkling, delicious. Amazing for such a modest drug store product; in fact amazing for any perfume at any price. It's as if you cut open some exotic orange hybrid right under your nose, fruit and peel bursting into a mist just as you sniff.

It's a bit one-note but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's citrusy, summery and fresh. The price is very affordable and it has good staying power. I rarely wear this alone, but I find it useful to layer with more expensive fragrances. When used in this way I get more wear out of those other scents, and can give them more of a citrus boost.
