Collezione Privata Colonia Purissima

As others have mentioned, this fragrance opens with a bright citrus burst but, after 5-10 minutes, quickly settles down into a very pleasant, lightly-musky vetiver scent with a nice tea and floral vibe going on in the background. I see grapefruit and bergamot listed as top-notes, but my nose detects lemon--which is a bit harsh when it opens but quickly fades nicely into the background over next 3-4 hours as this fragrances becomes a friendly, clean-vetiver with subtle musk, tea and floral accords. With the exception of rose and lavender, I'm usually quite the dolt when it comes to labeling floral notes. However, I could easily detect Geranium as the primary floral note, which is excellent by-the-way. Colonia Purissima is friendly and inviting with just a hint of sophistication. Although it can be worn at night and in casual settings, I envision someone wearing this one into the office when the the day's focus is on team-building or customer service. It is a pleasant scent and not offense in any way. Will you receive compliments? Sure, but probably on your smile and not so much for wearing this fragrance because it doesn't push-out too far. Longevity is above average on my skin and the projection is almost-average (which is perfect for this kind of fragrance) for the first three hours, and then transitions close to the skin for the remainder, which is approximately another 3-4 hours. I really like this fragrances (well done) but I don't love it due to it not having a lot of 'Wow' factor. I see this as being primarily an office scent and I don't wear this one for important meetings or social events where I'm much more comfortable wearing Creed, Tom Ford, etc. (merely my opinions mind you). Regardless, this is still solid fragrance (designer quality) at a good price.

Colonia Purissima is far closer to Tom Fords Grey Vetiver than it is to Acqua die Parma Colonia(s). It only reminds me briefly at the top. less than a minute. Than the Vetiver is there in a subtil way. As I liked the drydown on paper of Lalique's Encre Noir, but never the wearing of it. Because the Vetiver is too dominant, too dry and I never noticed the drydown on my sky, I dismissed most fragrances with a dominant vetiver note. But this changed recently with Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver where the vetiver is more tonned down by citrus notes I guess. Colonia Purissima was a blind buy for me and I was hoping for a AdP Colonia Assoluta or Intensa type of fragrance. However this is not a dissappointment for me, just a more subtil version of Grey Vetiver. I expect this to be doing very well in Summer. The sillage is not enormous. More shy I would say, but the fragrance turns to a skin scent that will last for over 12 hours. I had never heard about Pal Zileri, but at the end of the very first day I heard about it, I purchased this for 29 €/100 ML. The very next day the webshop I bought it from increased the price to 68 €. Lucky me. I just wished I could buy Viaggio d Africa & Fougere & Legni.

Wow! So pleased I stumbled on this one, it is very close to Acqua di Parma but currently without the big price tag. This is probably one of the best scents I have in my collection at present, Colonia Purissima is pure sophistication in a scent, it politely oozes class. It opens with citruses of lemons and oranges each buzzing with spicy accords, there's green tea, floral aromas of flowers, geranium and orange blossom. Dry down is long and there is a very smooth transition from the opening accords to the more elegant woody accords of Java vetiver, Bourbon vetiver, Haiti vetiver, along with musk and amber. This is a seamlessly complex scent that is balanced with sheer perfection. I am told from more than one source that this is being discontinued which is why it can be found at a good price, get it while stocks last people!

Un update. Really love this one. A very gentle toned down Vetiver fragrance more than a citrus one. If it make sence, somewhere in the middle between TF's Grey Vetiver and some kind of Acqua di Parma Colonia. Assoluta, for a couple of minutes. Within 5 minutes the Vetiver makes it's appearance. But not as dry and loud as Lalique Encre Noir or Grey Vetiver. Just very relaxing. Modest, not bad, projection and longevity. A very good Spring/Summer fragrance but in cooler seasons from time to time I use it for the evening, mostly in the house, just to help me release a hectic day stress. My 20 year old son, a militair,loves Polo Green like '80s powerhouses. Last Spring I have showed him Pal Zileri. Ever since, everytime he drops by, he goes upstairs and sprays this one, out of 100.

This is a great fragrance for the price, I couldn't believe how nice this was for the money. I get why people are reminded of ADP's colonia Intenso, absolutely yes, a friend asked me if I was wearing Eau Sauvage, and I can understand why. Sillage is moderate, longevity is also a little under par, but for the price, it can be applied liberally. The opening for me was very lemony, sharp and bright, for my nose I didn't detect much grapefruit, but lemon, very much, the dry down was pure vetiver, with hints of musk. The bottle is a really nice design, even though the stick on label has started peeling off after just a few weeks. Right now this is so inexpensive, I was happy to store away a few bottles. Worth getting.

This is actually very close to Acqua di Parma's Colonia Intensa. Starts with sharp intense lemon but thats only the beginning. Middle notes and base notes are pretty quick to appear. Floral, slightly woody and musky balsamic. Weak sillage and projection. Average longevity. Recommended but Acqua di Parma's offerings are better!

This is much more like Aqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta, not Intensa. Colonia Intensa is kind of smoky. A sophisticated Night Cologne. Colonia Purissima is for Day Light. Stunning relaxing fragrance. A shame it is discontinued. I gave mine away to one of my sons, because he loves it, and I have a few alternatives.

A splendid fragrance suitable for all occasions. The citrus is superb here, and complimented by the light floral,woody background. A classy,sophisticated aroma that appears to have everything balanced correctly. This house produces super fragrances that are found at good prices. Well worth a test run.

Colonia Purissima by Pal Zileri is my second favorite from the Collezione Privata line. It starts out with a citrus bang, bergamot and grapefruit. Dries down to a very nice and soft citrus/tea/floral. It is perfect for the spring/summer months. Very sophisticated and masculine.

This is great stuff, it wreaks of sophistication, but with an aura of friendliness and peace. Like the big boss at work who wants to shout you and your wife dinner tonight, just because youve been working here for years but he's never had the time to spend with you until now and he feels he owes you. Think of Molton Brown Black Pepper, but at $88 for the 100ml instead of the 50ml. I get an image of a successful man, in his dinner suit, relaxing in a 5-star hotel lobby, waiting for a long time client or colleague, "two reds, please."

I have always loved the original Zileri from 2002 so I decided to get samples of a couple from his private line. I think if these had any type of promotion then sells would be better. Back to the scent, it's a practical and casual bright vetiver. Very hard not to like but also a bit hard to buy when you have more mainstream scents easily available such as TDH and Guerlain L'Eau Boisee. I have only tried this and Viaggio and my money would easily go to Viaggio for being edgier.

This is beautiful, versatile, light and manly. Dominant notes are grapefruit and vetiver. Moderate performance overall.

Opens very lemony to the exclusion of almost everything else. The florals are weak (barely registering in fact), and soon (too soon) the musk and vetiver present themselves. It ends up something along the lines of D&G Light Blue - but citrusy. This is very reminiscent of Pal Zileri Blu di Provenza - which I do not like (just replace the lemon with lavender). Certainly, I have noticed similar scents on others and recollect how noticeably pleasant it seemed on them. I want to like this, but the truth is having tested it on several occasions, it just doesn't smell as good on my skin. The opening is too sweet and too lemony. Reminds me of lemon sherbets, and frankly, it makes me queasy. The drydown is so much better - like being baby talced after washing in Imperial Leather soap. A very pure and clean ambiance engulfs you. If I could dispense with the opening, I would like this so much more. Really poor sillage and longevity. Probably a difficult one to find. So testing before buying could be an obstacle. My advice is if you like citrus, some vetiver and have a preference for musk in your scents, then this is almost certainly right up your street. Otherwise stay clear.

Good reviews here from Nattonline and mushroomfat. The designer is not well known for its fragrances i guess they added a line for their clothing collection t o complement their consuments. : ive tested this good andi really liked it , fresh citrus very zingy opening good blending toned down with all vetivers not tea bright and not a green scent more a yellowbrown and must say from the 4 in thecollezione this one is the most friendliest and brightest and maybe in that way the most versatile. My sum up: -Fresh and bright -Masculine cologne freshness together with some kindness -Not a bossy fragrance shouting but well mannered -Brings your day some joy Dont buy it expensive its not niche quality in materials so if its for sale (18 till 30 bucks range) take it even blind you wont regret.

I finally bought this after watching it for years! Every spring I start needing bright, clean colognes, and wanted something to go alongside my current ones, La Manufacture Impatiente, and Roger & Gallet Bois d'Orange. After a couple of wearings, this appears to be a very straightforward, impeccably clean and rather polite effort. It goes on with clean, sharp lemon, moves quickly into soft, bright florals, then dries to a shy, musky base steered by a very whispered spike of vetiver. Utterly wearable and classic rather than modern, but perhaps a little too safe, quiet and familiar. One thing nobody has mentioned is that it comes with a little pocket square, as in the picture! 🎀 👔

Reviews for this are right on. At first it reminded me of Pino Sport (ironically both are part of the Mavive corporate family of scents), but where Pino is juicier,sweeter and more expressive, CP is understated and content to stay in the backround,but always with a suave confidence. Initial blast is wonderful orangey citrus on the bitter side,followed by muskiness, a touch of tea and flowers,and then transitioning harmoniously to a vetiver that lingers for hours. This is a sunny fragrance whose freshness mitigates the heat of summer. Subtle but not subdued, calm but a definite presence, this is a modern Mediterranean gentleman. Linen suit optional but recommended.

At first, the lemon is so strong, almost like a household cleaner, but when it settles down, the scent become very elegant and classically masculine. It's still very lemoney but the orange flower and musk soften it down while the vetiver man up the overall. It smells like an expensive niche fragrance. Creed perhaps? or something from Acqua di Parma also come to mind. Whatever it is, I do enjoy Purissima a lot and I wish I had a full bottle instead of a sample vial.

It is a VERY CLASSY but refined cologne smell, yes...smells like the typical Aramis DNA...not bad at all...nothing cheap about it...but again..viaggio d' Africa keeps being the winner from the whole private collection..the most unique and sophisticated I would say

Finally found this scent, it starts very lemony but in just few seconds turns to tea/floral scent that is still very soft and nice but not unique at all, it smells like many scented napkins and shops automizer scents.

Too much floral for me , not much citrus
