Aged Tea

Well, after receiving it more than a month ago, it's finally time to review it. I've searched far and wide for the best ever tea scent, and I think... I've reached it. This is honestly, hands down, the best recreation of aged tea I've smelled so far. IMHO this smells like a liu'bao that has had around 30 years of age. It reminds me exactly of that tea I had the last round of two years ago which was pressed in 1990s. It's intimate, it's, for me, as a person whose life is dedicated to tea, it's the smell of the thing I love most in this life. Real, proper, unadultered, raw tea. Not lemon dropped, honey sugared, cinnamon bunned, vanilla scented tea, but the raw funk of the tea plant, Camellia Sinensis, in it's most wonderful form, aged (hei cha). It's the smell I wake up to in the mornings, after lighting an incense and pouring my first cup of tea, watching the droplets swirl in the mist above the cup, inhaling that most wonderful scent. The guys at pan seven have properly recreated the thing I love the most in life. Thank you. The only downside for it is persistency and price. But honestly, for me personally, price is worth it, it's an experience which no other tea fragrance has even come close to, and I own quite a few. For persistency there's nothing I can do about, I can probably layer it with molecule 01 but I'm afraid of tampering with this beautiful scent.

An exceptionally beautiful tea perfume. Gentle, quiet, smell just like the decades-old chinese tea cake. The smoky notes make it feels like a cup of hot chinese tea, which is very relaxing, even giving a sense of Zen. But it's weak longitivity is fatal. Usually scents tend to linger on my skin, yet aged tea disappears within one or two hours. May not be a good choice for day perfume, but perfect for meditation or simply relaxing when alone.

This is tea and basically tea only,but oh what a tea scent. Gentle and quiet but filled with depth and phases. Gets smokier as it goes along. Perfect for cosy evenings at home or spring/summer days/evenings. Wears very gentle and soft. Very modest.

One of the best tea perfumes I've ever worn in my life. And with this one, the scent is highly accurate to the fragrance of real aged tea. I love it so much and got complimented from a fellow tea lover when wearing this.

I was home sick, my husband surprised me with aged tea and Jasmin tea (not in the database ) , I wear it to sleep, it is a very comporting and peaceful scent. I highly recommend.

This is one of the most sophisticated tea scent so far I've tried. Where most of other brands when making tea scent perfumes; they try too much on amplifying the tea scent with strong base/foundation notes (this in my opinion sometimes ruin the tea scent, make it repulsive and too strong); the tea scent here in Aged Tea is very much intimate; soft; relaxing and gentle. The projection is not much, skin-scent but it is still beautifully crafted.

The smell truly resembles tea. However, 3850TWD (120USD) for 66ml and 20USD for 3ml sample??!? I think it is a bit overpriced. Projection is fine, but it lasts no more than 3 hours on my skin.

Smells like Chinese umei, a kind of preserved plum, more than tea. I prefer the other scent Formosa in this collective which is a hyper realistic portrayal of aged tea, the scent you get upon opening a canister of Chinese tea. Unfortunately all 3 in the collection including Oolong tea have poor longevity and is gone by the time I finished testing the other scents in the same level of the shopping mall (less than 2 hours)

This is an incredible recreation of an aged Chinese tea, reminds me of aged white tea. Definitely crafted by a teahead. There is an astringent smokiness to it. I wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy for everyone.
