Oud Republic

I was not going to purchase this due to the fact I was given the impression that it was redundant if you owned or loved Roja Amber Aoud, which I adore, it's my sig scent, _so_ I'm writing this for anyone that reads it to rest assured, if you own or love Amber Aoud, this is by no means redundant, at _all_ this is it's very own thing, it's like the other creations by this house, entirely unique. In fact I can't even detect a similarity to Amber Aoud, dare I say this is smoother than Roja, which is strange because Roja and smoothness are kind of synonymous or mutually inclusive words :) This is pretty sweet, and if anything the Oud is in no way shape or form prominent, it's a backbone, and is blended with the woods, as masterfully as the wood blending that this house is becoming recognised for. If I was to say there are two facets here, the woods, and the sweetness. The florals and the sweetness are blended more or less as one, and the other facet is the smoothness of the woods. Now within the sweetness facet lies the florals and the sweetness coming from what I'd guess to be the vanilla and amber. This is a LOT sweeter than what the notes lead you to believe, if anything the sweetness is a bit turned up on this one and really is taking it more into a sweet floral than an Oud/Floral, the Oud is like I say non-existent as a note, I can not detect Oud except within the woody blend. I think I bought too much into the hype and bought this as my 4th one into the house, saving t, Grand Musk was my first and to be honest, Grand Musk wipes the floor clean with Oud Republic. Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing masterpiece, were comparing PANA DORA creations here, so critique is at the highest level, so when I say something is disappointing on this level, then it's disappointing as far as the highest of expectations with this house, take away the high expectations and you will be floored with the creations. This is still evolving on me, I'm a bit sad because of the lack of *Oud* and how sweet this is. I'm going to stop here, and wear it for a few more days and not in so high heat (in the UK we currently have a heatwave)), and we have an abundance of cold weather to test this out, for now I'm going to enjoy Skadi, Scandic and Orchestra in the high heat, and come back to this at a later date with an update :) For now, God bless and enjoy.....

Oud Republic is a refined oriental fragrance where jasmine and pronounced saffron open with a spicy-floral radiance, set against a warm oriental backdrop of rose, amber, oud, and woody-spicy nuances. Rather than unfolding in clearly separated stages, the composition feels smooth, layered, and textural from the very beginning. Perhaps it is merely a play of the senses, but at moments it evokes an elegant oriental sweetness subtly reminiscent of Turkish Delight, without ever becoming overly sweet or heavy. A smooth, well-integrated oud runs through the composition from the opening, seamlessly blending into the woody facets, while cooler aromatic tones of lavender, cypress, and resinous fir remain subtly perceptible, woven into its overall warmth. A subtle creamy texture, touched by a hint of vanilla, defines the composition, gradually softening into a powdery amber-musky drydown with a delicate animalic undertone. Beautifully blended, it unfolds as a sensually comforting composition that radiates serenity and quiet happiness. Note: It shares a similar character with Penhaligon’s Cairo, though Oud Republic leans drier, cooler, and more wood-driven, resulting in a richer and more textured profile.

I love it. Got a sample as gift from beautywelt.de and finally got my hands on a bottle. The opening is fresh and saffrony. Very warm and sweet. But a decent sweetness, nothing overwhelming. It's somewhat powdery but not soapy, it's like velvet if the touch could be translated into a fragrance. The oud isn't harsh, on the contrary, it's softened by the florals and comes later on emboldening the fragrance to wrap it up in a beautiful oudy cloud. It's very strong or beast modus so no need to overspray! For me it's unisex but I'm used and attracted to male fragrances so I'd also say it's not a blind buy especially if you're a woman. It's got floral notes but it's far from floral. It's light animalic oud and saffron, the male notes par excellence.

I absolutely hate oud—it often has fecal connotations and smells dirty. When the salesperson at the Pana Dora boutique showed me this scent, I was afraid I’d run away right then and there, and my journey would be over. But: this fragrance is flawless, and the oud only serves to enhance the other ingredients. It is warm, noble, at times sharply spicy, piercing, and cozy. You can just feel the quality and the sudden urge to buy the finest Swedish down jacket for trillions of kronor.

Another gorgeous fragrance from the house of pana dora. This scent remind me alot of Imperial wood however skipping the Cacao making it much less gourmand. This scent is beautifully creamy and soooo good. The wood is balanced beautifully with the spices however the floral notes make this such an addictive scent that can be worn by anyone of any gender or age in my opinion. This scent is soo good and i highly recommend for any oud lovers out there. my rating--- 8.5/10

Suuuuuupersmoooooth OUD!!! Incredible, beautiful opening. Aromatic without being to heavy. Roses in the middle. This one is amazingly crafted. It's a wonderful mix of roses, oud, sweet, fresh and even a bit vanilla. I really like this! It's unique but there's something in it that reminds me of Carved Oud from Thameen. If you're looking for a oud fragrance that smells like real oud and at the same time is signature-worthy, look no further, this is the one you want.

Not many fragrances that i call beautiful but this, wow. I get strong oud in the opening which i dont really like because i dont like strong fragrances but after just 2 minuts on the skin the sweetnes and smoothnes comes out and smells incredibly beautiful. Stays on clothes forever. Put a spray on my wrist and my jacket picked it up. everytime i wore that jacket for almost 2 weeks the scent got back to my wrist, incredible.

Truly beautiful, masterfully blended and just out right incredible. I bought a sample because the price doesn’t justify a blind buy and let me tell you... I just had to get my hands on a bottle right away. This is a perfected piece of work and also the performance is absolutely outstanding. It’s a sweet stunning oud with some strong florals (mainly rose) and smooth woods that just add to the quality. Fn gorgeous!! 🙏🏽

This is the smoothest oud fragrance I have ever smelled. It is very smooth and elegant with a mass appeal. Quality is definitely there. If you like Haltane, Oud Wood, Oud for Greatness you will most likely enjoy this one. Scent. 10/10 Performance. 8/10 Price. 9/10 I absolutely love this fragrance. What a beautiful well balanced cozy scent. Musky, fruity, slightly oudy, very smooth and perfectly rounded at every level. Out of 40 premium quality samples I got recently, this one strongly stands out. Perfumery at its best. Not sure why people not talking about this, it’s a hidden gem

Amazing powdery, warm amber and floral perfume. I don't really detect the oud but it gives a little dirty almost animalic feeling which i love. Heavy on the saffron & jasmine. Almost a bubblegum-ish feeling in the opening

I find oud republic as an amazing oud fragrance, so nice and clean smell, for me its a safe blind buy.

If only Pana Dora had travels sets for their fragrances... I like this a lot! It isn't a love for me because I can't believe the idea of getting a full bottle of it. Very situational for me, though versatile, and STRONG. Aromatics and oud like I've never tried before. This is rather unique, masculine, and again POTENT. Performance is no joke here and will stain anything it touches. The saffron does not lend it any leathery facet, but a beautiful density and spiciness. Cold weather appropriate and a classy signature even, but will not go with any sort of attire. 50ml are already enough of it, but I'd rather have something like 10ml as that's likely never going to be finished. This is a 3-4 sprays fragrance when you want attention even.

This is so well done and actually smells great would love this on someone else. but this has made up my mind that I really just don’t like rose for me. The oud is very subdued in this definitely a sweet rose. Would work well for a women’s date night scent definitely works for a man also but just pretty sweet. 6.9/10

On my cool skin Oud Republic is woody aromatic fragrance. Unfortunately I do not get any amber, rose, citrus, or jasmine. To me this is very aromatic thyme and geranium forward fragrance. In the mid, I get an earthy facet. A day fragrance for cool days.

A Solid Like+ for me. Very nice scent. Very good performance... I just prefer Amber Aoud a little more.

smells ok, among the best of the house..but that doesn't mean much when we talk pana dora. it's a better alternative than roja's amber aoud for the price in my opinion but overall this is nothing new..and not worth a bottle for 400$ in my opinion

Has to be the most balanced oud fragrance out there.balanced between spicy, rich,warm and fresh,yes fresh! I’m guessing from the grapefruit and lavender,because who’d have thought a fragrance with oud and saffron would be described as fresh, though saffron and the spices take center stage.everything else is not behind,they’re all present,and all shining through all at the same time.you get every single note in that pyramid shining through.it’s like a performance from a seasoned orchestra. This is what you’d get if you layer oud for greatness, roja apex and unique e Beverly Hills exclusive( I know because I used to do this). it’s amazing how there are so many aspects to the fragrance yet so beautiful balanced. Silage and longevity are great. Do not be tempted to overspray as A little goes a long way so I think it’s worth the money.would be exploring more from the house.the quality is impeccable.

Opens with pure rose and a distant sweetness from the vanilla perhaps. Slowly, it opens up into an oriental fragrance with vanilla, oud, lavender in a harmonious blend. I'm maybe getting a grapefruit and thyme, but definitely not a lot cypress, saffron, cardamom, or geranium. They seem to be used very sparingly here. The oud quality is solid but leaves more to be desired at the price point. I think this is a rose fragrance primarily and doesn't have a lot of sweetness, which could be a good or bad thing depending on taste. It also doesn't have patchouli which other orientals might have, also could be a good or bad thing.

This is basically oud satin mood without the sugary sweetness. Very well blended with high quality ingredients. If you own oud satin mood this might be redundant, but if you would like something more manly with the same profile, this would definitely suit you.

Definitely not what I expected when i read the notes and then smelled the fragrance. Oud Republic smells like something from bath and bodyworks or victoria secret. I dont get anything woody and mostly get sweet fruity and light florals. Sample first. 4/10
