Gourmantic Orange Extrait De Parfum

Moving on from the disaster that was Panah's ''Pineapple'' scent; I moved onto this with a newfound dread on this line. Thankfully; while yes the Opening is Orangey (rolleyes) it is definitely gourmand; a wonderful wallop of rich milk chocolate of fine Quality wells up and bathes the opening. It's definitely bang on a Christmas scent and what it definitely reminded me of was Chocolate Greedy by Montale. This is a smooth, refined and 'cleaned-up' Chocolate greedy where the stars of the show, Chocolate & Orange (leaning onto high Quality candied-Orange) are really left to shine. For me it's not an Instabuy as I'm not taken by anything straight Orange especially in a gourmand but it's definitely cosy, pleasing and I could definitely see this as being a massive crowd-pleaser and the ''Money scent'' for Panah. It's a whole upgrade on Chocolate Greedy. edit- I totally forgot about the Dried Fruits. It's listed here as 'Fruity notes' but really, both of those can mean almost anything. Mango? Cherry? Sometimes even exotic citruses get the 'fruity' label. But here, it's *actual Dried fruits of for me, the Best kind! The dried stone fruits with raisins and prunes. Mainly, a wonderful sweet chewy and totally decadent jar of stewed raisins with syrup from a small pile of macerating apricots too. It's just rich and gorgeous. This I found on further testing does often peak even at the top, so I am doing the very rare thing of increasing the score over my previous 7/10 to an 8. edit again (01/2023) - on further testing, the fruity notes in the blend really are exemplary. So mellow, yet sweet unctuous & smooth with the swirling good quality milk chocolate. There's really very little that beats it for me in todays market - it is the complete 'Gourmand signature' chocolate based scent. I'm giving it a 9/10 and my 1st ever bump of a rating score in over 15 years of reviewing on here by 2 points! After testing many other rarer & expensive ones like Cacao Porcelaina in the meantime, I actually appreciate just how High quality and smooth Panah made (at least this) scent and I really commend them for it. It's so easy to mess up these note combinations and there are *so* many different 'varieties' and slants and takes on Chocolate notes and fruits in general. They have taken the wonderfully rich, rounded and mellow route but elevated it all. Amazing. For me it's expensive for the tiny 30ml but it's just about buy worthy. I'd like them to offer a 60ml bottle in the future. My rating: 9/10. (previous rating 7/10)

I was very eager to try this fragrance as I have loved all the Panah fragrances so far especially Pink champagne truffle and Italian citrus and obviously the bottle looks stunning. I love citrus and chocolates so it was a no brainer that I had to try this one and let me tell you it didn’t disappoint me at all. I had very high expectations from this fragrance and it was better than I expected it too be. The candy orange opening is mouth watering then I smell delicious dark chocolate with a hint of vanilla I don’t really get the other notes here but I absolutely love how it smells and the best part is it can be worn all year round without being cloying unlike other heavy gourmands. It’s delicious yet fresh not at all sickening. I keep sniffing my wrist as it’s hard to get enough of this beauty, it’s so satisfying. The silage is enormous and as far as longevity is concerned it easily stays up to 12 hours. Wonderful!!!!

Panah knows its gourmands and does it equally well especially the chocolate notes. As any gourmand lover probably have noticed that majority of perfumes out there kill the chocolate notes using fancy elements around it. Gourmantic opens up with a blast of zesty orange which is quickly rounded and suppressed by fruity notes . I suspect dark fruity notes mentioned on the website point towards dates or may be fig which makes sense. As the top notes fade away the heavier gourmand elements of vanilla and chocolate start emerging and pretty much stay linear for the next 8-12 hours. The beauty of this fragrance is the whiffs every time I got at regular intervals just uplifted my mood and made it really enjoyable. Surprisingly this fragrance was complimented by a chunk of women around me and somehow women seem to kinda love this .

To me this an adult version of an orange creamsicle. The orange is more prominent early on but not stronger than the creamy, light vanilla, which is something I love about this fragrance. I also get something like white chocolate or an icing type of note. There is nothing musky about it, and it's sweet without being juvenile. I would say this is FOR SURE a spring/summer daytime scent. It's the type of scent where I am sniffing my wrist later on because it smells so yummy. I received a sample after ordering from Panah. I love this more than the scent I originally bought and definitely considering buying the full bottle.

I love this perfume. I wanted a muture version of an orange perfume that would last. The main note is definitely vanilla and then I smell zesty dark fruits (like prunes, dates etc) and a dark chocolate note at the end. I agree with previous comments that it dries to a more boozy scent. Not too sweet at all, and I'm actually sensitive to perfumes..I have no headaches while wearing this. I spray only once when I'm doing more casual things during the day, and it's just enough. At the end of the day, I still smell it on my clothes and skin, til the next day at times.
