L'Olivier

I love fragrances that seem to react favorably with balmy air. L'Olivier is an example of this: a briny olive leaves scent with herbal flourishes and a sea wind effect. Bitter-green and viscous meets breezy and aquatic, under the canopy of a woody grove, this is the smell of languorous summer leisure. A lazy, hazy treat, L'Olivier would work well with Vilebrequin swimming trunks (sea turtle patterned), Matsuda shades, and hours of relaxation in a poolside cabana.

I’m a femme queer woman and I love this scent. Judging by the other reviews on here I’d say this perfume is more unisex than strictly ‘cologne’ (although scent doesn’t have gender). Powdery, green, floral and a subtle, natural floral nectar-like sweetness. To my nose, the dominant accord is floral, not marine. L'Olivier reminds me of Kiehl’s Musk. They share a similar floral accord with rose, lily and both white and yellow florals like orange blossom and ylang ylang. L’Olivier is much different than I expected. And I am pleasantly surprised. 4.25 from me.

This deserves so much love. Salt and brine layered over a beautifully herbal olive accord. Simple but masterfully crafted. Delicately masculine and enchantingly unique. If I had to compare it to another fragrance, it feels like a more relaxed and balmy friend of A’Mmare by Carthusia. Worth the effort to get your nose on this one.

I love this perfume - bought as a blind buy. I have to say, I wouldn't have picked out these notes unless I had looked it up but when I read it I could recognise them. It's just such a crowd pleaser.

L’Olivier Panier des Sens has a clean and soapy floral style, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me. On my skin it leaned very feminine and reminded me of an older classic perfume style. The scent feels powdery, floral, and slightly vintage, which may appeal to some people,l
