Datura Amaretti

I first bought Datura Amaretti off Mercari in a bundle from a seller who sold me high end niche perfumes (all of which came broken except for 2) and this one was the one I can smell the most through the box because the full bottle broke and I FELL IN LOVE. This is so hard to get your hands on and I had been forever on a search to get a bottle of this in a good price range. I FINALLY did and I am in love STILL! Upon first spray you get a blast of cherry and ylang-ylang. (Ylang is one of my favorite notes) and then comes the dry down of the almond and cedar. The biscuit is more of this dense cakey feel in the fragrance. I do not know what datura smells like however I’m guessing it’s the thick/seducing floral note I can’t put my finger on that comes out with the Ylang. The cherry stays throughout. There’s no other fragrance I can really compare this to or how to really describe this fragrance.. The sweet and thickness of this is giving a gourmand feel, however this is not a gourmand “foodie” fragrance. This fragrance smells very classy and “boujie”. Very addictive! I can see myself wearing this in a dress with heels, all done up walking into an upscale restaurant or on a cruise! This just makes me feel so BEAUTIFUL!

What I do enjoy in those Panouge scent is the silky airy note that fully express itself on my skin. It’s so palpable and addictive. In DA, it makes the cherry sweet and light in the same time, more cosmetic than eatable. Then the poisonous floral princess, the white datura, which isn’t such an easy likable theme, but here I find it just polite enough to appreciate its very expressive presence, supported by some almond biscotti just to die for. I imagine a white dressed young queen, powerful, obstinate and fragile, a warrior with velvet hands, able to rule without raising her voice.

This is a floral not a gourmand. This is the first time I smell datura. As described below, the smell is waxy and dense, even more than jasmine or tuberose, like an intense candle. It reminds me a bit of Chanel No 22 although DA is more floral but when it comes to this intoxicating intensity of soapy base they share that oldschool luxury soap vibe. Could be good for an opera visit or similar traditional special occasions entertainment.

One of the most beautiful almond notes combined with datura I've ever experienced in perfumery. I wear it on cold days, and every time, someone asks me what that beautiful scent is. It’s elegant, soft, and sophisticated. And yes – this eau de parfum is neither banal nor clichéd.

RiddlesKitty review is so accurate! I was expecting a sweet, cherry like biscotti type scent but there’s only a grain of sugar in this. You get the datura and it’s quite prominent. It smells like the white flowers that grows on tobacco plants. It’s quite narcotic. There’s a thick biscuit dough mixed with a slight medicinal vibe to it. But still really smooth and well balanced so good craftsmanship here and definitely a unique fragrance. It’s not my style of perfume but if it’s yours you will enjoy it as it is very well made and extremely unique. It lasts and projection is moderate.

Waxy, creamy white floral. Thick, dense, with a bready/doughy bite. Hint of something fresh and green. Faint sweetness on drydown.

i was really expecting to like this but i find it offensively repulsive. i get no notes other than datura which smells like a waxy creamy funeral home with balmed bodies. and not in a cute ooh super clean way. where are my cherry almond biscuits and all.. . .sigh

I found this fragrance offensive. I guess I am not a fan of cherry almond biscuits or poisonous flowers. On paper sounds sexy - in real life not so much.

Not sure what it is but this smells like a wardrobe moth repellent from the 90s with a pee note... Not my cup of tea at all, glad I only bought a decant.

very underrated fragrance. when i first got it almost a year ago i was so incredibly repulsed by it. the datura note was just too overwhelming and difficult to withstand; had to wash my hands immediately. however nowadays i see the uniqueness of this and cannot be more drawn to it. you really get a biscuit and datura... unlikely duo that makes it work. it honestly feels difficult to categorize this scent into any weather / season / part of a day, but if you want to smell like biscuits and the real, almost bitter, essence of flowers, this perfume is exactly that. i cannot really imagine getting a whole bottle and making use of it, but if you see the sample anywhere, make sure to get it. truly a niche experience

Beautiful fragrance. Somehow reminds of La Religieuse from Serge Lutens but you get datura flower instead of jasmin. Also gourmand because of the biscuit note inside. Elegant, comfy and delicious at the same time.Best for cooler weather.Performance is very good. Out of all 4 from this collection, i would say this is best suited for winter, especially Christmas time.

This might be the best perfume in the world. Realistic White Flowers a hint of biscuit. Genius
