Nerone

This is probably the most polarising fragrance in my collection. I actively tried to stop myself from buying it but was constantly drawn back. I absolutely love it and at the same time I completely understand why many people would dislike it. This fragrance genuinely confuses me. I can clearly recognise how it could be considered unpleasant yet it remains undeniably brilliant. It is a very complex and unapologetic masterpiece that demands respect. It is strong assertive and uncompromising. Whenever you wear it you will offend someone but people who appreciate it wont be able to help themselves from telling you how good it smells. Performance and projection are powerful but this is not a fragrance you overspray. I cant stress this enough this is not mass appealing and should never be blind bought. The scent evokes the image of a Roman legionnaire. It is intensely masculine and commanding. It opens very smokey with leather which remains present throughout the entire dry down. After the first hour it begins to soften as sugarcane comes through creating a burnt sugar effect that works surprisingly well with the smoke. Over time it continues to smooth out but the smokiness never fully disappears. At around 6 to 8 hours it settles into a very animalic almost hormonal skin scent. It reminds me of raw masculinity and lingers for a long time. This is a powerful fragrance but it is absolutely not a daily wear. It needs to be used selectively in the right setting during winter and worn with confidence. This is not office appropriate. In the correct environment and company however it is a real show stopper. This bottle will last me a very long time but when I get the delivery right it really shines.

Very strong, bold blend of oud, dark leather with a subtle sweetness coming from passion fruit, raspberry and coconut. But don’t mistake my words, Nerone is not a sweet, fruity perfume. It’s a leathery, woody, masculine almost at the core with faint gourmand, sweet, fruity nuances. Everybody perceives fragrances different and in this case, I would disagree with the accords shown here on Fragrantica, I wouldn’t say that Nerone is first and foremost a sweet, vanilla perfume! The dry down is more woods and leather with a hint of sweetness and fruits. Just based upon a first try, I liked Nerone, but didn’t love it. It’s certainly a bold, strong woody, fruity, sweet perfume but more masculine IMO. It’s great for cold seasons and it does last. If I not mistaken, Nerone was the strongest out of all Pantheon Roma fragrances I sampled today from the regular line. My husband liked it better than me, but he didn’t loved it either. It’s a great scent though not for me.

Despite it having the smells that I hate most, leather and coconut, so much I get flashbacks. I love it and that says a lot. Smells like a show off strong and pungent but still not overwhelming, it gives confidence you and who you smells you gets the idea about you. Bitter, sweet, fruity and spicy. Smooth transition between scents. Smells niche in my test and I tested it against a lot of other niche fragrances. It lasts so long, even after a shower following the 11 hour period I sprayed it on my skin, I still could smell the oud I love the price against its pears and I love the story behind it when you open it, I love the transition between scents, I love the strong silage and longevity is amazing, I love the after taste you get, I love everything about it, a 10 out of 10, I will probably buy another one when I finish this

It's 'kind of' reminiscent of Oud Maracuja, especially in the beginning but quickly becomes it's own scent IMO Much more wearable than OM if you were looking for something in that realm and don't like to be punched in the face by that constant Passionfruit note Unisex but needs to be worn by a confident looking and dressing person ... otherwise it will wear you ! Keep the number of sprays to a minimum and if it's still too strong then one spray under clothes or to the back of the neck will keep things in control Love it !

Wonderful fruity saffron at first, later a subtle leather stars to show and becomes a wonderful experience. I loved it

NReally not interesting, it's not niche

Nerone is a high-quality, very modern fragrance that rides the deep Oud wave popularized by Black Afgano. It’s not really my personal style, but I can only speak positively of it: intense, pleasant, very dark and profound. I see it working better on a man than on a woman, though I have to admit it doesn’t clash on me. Best reserved for winter wear, unless you want to overwhelm everyone around you. As for the “burnt” note, I’d say people let the storytelling influence them a bit too much—it's not as literal as some make it out to be.

Bold, dark tropical fruity leather fragrance with oud. It’s definitely unisex but I’d recommend Nerone first and foremost to men. I wouldn’t say it smells juicy although it has passion fruit and raspberry. I love the dry woody fruitiness so much!! Also, it’s so long lasting 😀👌 and projects!

Fresh oud with green coconut. The passion fruit note gives the perfume a shower gel vibe at first but it later morphs into a smooth leather with fruity creaminess. Reminds me a bit of La Capital but better because of the coconut.
