Raffaello

Pantheon Roma wanted to use its fragrances to tell a little about the life of Raffaello Sanzio and dedicate one of its perfumes to him, naming it after him. It was a fitting tribute, given that the Pantheon houses the tomb of the famous Renaissance painter, with a poignant inscription: "ILLE HIC EST RAPHAEL TIMUIT QUO SOSPITE VINCI RERUM MAGNA PARENS ET MORIENTE MORI," "Here lies Raphael, by whom, while he lived, Nature feared to be conquered, and when he died, she feared to die too." Raphael died at just 37 years old and was deeply mourned by his contemporaries, beloved for his artistic talent and human value. The fragrance aims to convey his idea of beauty: powerful, captivating, evocative, yet at the same time calm, harmonious, and serene. The olfactory notes are truly all there: it opens with a peppery and pungent leather that dissipates into a broad, green and herbaceous, almost balsamic, aroma of absinthe, the true protagonist of this perfume. As it gradually softens on the skin, you can sense a hint of wood, tonka bean, and absinthe, taking on more delicate aromatic nuances, almost like smelling chamomile. It's a spectacular perfume, a perfect balance between strength and sweetness in a search for natural, rustic elements comparable to few others. In my opinion, it's distinctly masculine. Record-breaking longevity and projection. And no worries, ladies and gentlemen, the quality here is truly high and fully repays the price. Congratulations to Pantheon Roma for creating another absolute masterpiece of Italian perfumery.

Blind Bought a 50 ml bottle. What can I say... incredibly in love with this fragrance. I was lost for words for about 10 minutes, after the initial spray. Far from anything I expected, these notes I have never smelled before. This may sound strange or odd to most, but it has an 'Architectural' air around it. I suppose it's because it has a certain 'airiness' a certain 'spaciousness' which comes from a very beautiful medicinal-smoky-incense note. This has a very regal fragrance but can be worn anytime and can be someone's signature fragrance. Almost like something that Andrea Palladio (Architect b:1508 d. 1580, Italy) would wear when he walks in to one of his construction sites. It also has a sweetness and it is not a dry perfume. Slightly sweet-wet. I love this and would wear it any time of the year here in the tropical climate of Sri Lanka. 10/10 will give my recap later.

Eclectic. Genius. Raphael wants to represent the genius of the artist, his ability to capture and represent beauty to perfection. His feelings of love so strong, they will dominate his whole short life. Raphael, as an artistic creation, wants to be a portrait of this painter so able, young and full of energy. It wants to be the banner of beauty, a concept that belonged totally to Raphael. A fresh, vivacious, introspective fragrance, thanks to the note of absinthe (source of inspiration for so many geniuses) and with a delicate, leathery base that makes it even more impressive. Very high trail and persistence. ‘Saint George and the Dragon’ painted by Raphael Sanzio himself.

I couldn't understand how this is not famous like many other fragrances out there. This is one of the best smelling fragrances I have come across till now. The oil concentration used is very high in this fragrance and it will last all day on your skin. It does not change on my skin personally but the sillage is so good that you would want to smell your self again and again. I smell some fruitiness in the fragrance which is not listed above. This is a must have fragrance!!! 12/10 in my opinion

Reading the notes, I did not think that I would like this but is is AMAZEBALLS. It is very very sweet. Where does that come from? I see why the other reviewer mentions peachy. It's sort of like cypress meets honey and musk. There is this deep, musky quality to it. I would assume that I am smelling the wormwood and tonka but this is not herbal like I expected. Not sharp. Rounded and juicy. There's a little tingle of pepper in there and some deep wood. I love it. Wow.

At least on my skin, the performance and projection is next level. Not quite to 'Followed' levels, but in that ballpark. It's such a unique scent, that I feel it's really easy to pick up traces of the projection...maybe that builds the illusion of super strength. For the scent itself, I think this is polarizing. I'm drawn to the smooth and almost creamy wormwood, but others in my household just hate this scent. Very much a sample before you try it.

Gorgeous bold woody aromatic build around an addictive natural wormwood (absinthe) note. The scent opens with this central note at first surrounded by teak and pepper and as the scent dries, reveals notes of tonka, leather and synthetic musk. The masculine leaning scent has strong sillage and very good longevity and is suited for unafraid confident men. Enjoy!

I sprayed this today in a shop and fell in love absolutely. The absinthe gives this a green freshness and the tonka, a bit of sweetness. The leather is there, but subdued. The patchouli (not listed here, but it is on Pantheon Roma's website) gives it earthiness, but not heaviness. This is marketed to men, but I find it genderless. Longevity is stellar.

Definitely my vibe 👌🏻. Feels super close to Esco Pazzo—the only fragrance I paid full retail for in years because I just had to have it. Is that good!! This one’s smoother with a vanilla/coconut twist, while Esco stays a bit rougher. Bonus: it even lasts longer (and Esco is already a 10+ hours beast).

I am a gourmand girlie but this perfume i feel like i have to have. It’s so expensive smelling. I see this layered with a vanilla perfume (mostly only vanilla) to give it a more feminine feel and the result i feel like it would be the perfect femme fatale perfume.

From the application in the morning, the scent has a beautifully rich opening, feeling quite green with hints of creamy leather in the background. The performance on this is really great, easily stays on the skin for 12 hours whilst projecting for the majority of this. I'd say it's quite a mature scent with a 'hard' side to it, it isn't very soft or velvety but certainly makes a statement. The leather notes come off quite spicy and very rich which is something that I love personally. I also seem to pick out a little hint of sweetness from something, maybe the leather becoming slightly softer and creamier as the hours pass. A great scent to have in a collection - I've never smelled something quite like it!

Soapy green fresh aromatic fragrance. It smells very complex with plenty of depht. The opnening is quite good in the dried down it acquires a very fresh and soapy aspect to it. I Would't say it is my favourit or my to go fragrance. it's defentely good if you like green fragrances but it's not something i would spend that much money on it it feels a bit overpriced though the quality of the creation is undeniable. If I smel this on somebody i would say "oh nice this guy smells good" but that would be all there is to it it is not something that makes me want to spend 150 bucks for 50ml. Good, a bit generic, not THAT good but still nonetheless good: 7.5/10

Not a wormwood fan, reminds me of Profumum Roma Acqua Nobilus which I didn't care for as it also contains wormwood. Maybe this will grow on me. Low performance. Became a skin scent after about an hour.

If you ever need to jump off a bridge but you're a bit weak-kneed and thinking there might be hope for humanity just spray yourself with this and you'll jump right off.

I did not try Jeddah, but I tried Nur in both concentrations, both, unfortunately they were not resistant to me (I tested it in Golden Apple). The extract opened up with sweet amber and cedar, and I wanted to smell endlessly daisy and artemisia. In general, nur is in love with the beginning of the extract, but the ending is not quite mine. The perfume is a bit different, and on my cold skin it opened up nicely, no wood and amber, only chamomile, peaches and wormwood are beautiful and feminine. And so, I became interested in a brand from Italy (Italian flavors in general are very close in spirit to me), and read about the similarity of Rafaello with nur SoOud and jeddah. I read and forgot. I ordered 3 aromas of Pantheon Roma, 1 thing I tried Raffaello .. Oh .. a smile from ear to ear .. incredibly something familiar, even something from childhood, as it seemed to me, and the olfactory carousel so spinning in the brain that never leaves me: "Remember, remember .." I went to the fragments and again began to read reviews about Raffaello and yes! Nur! Of course, it is with him that I have an olfactory association, well, and still something from my childhood. Only he is similar to the feminine white version of Nur, oddly enough (considering that they identified the flavor by gender as male). This is my next (sorry for some perfume polygamous) love-love. The fragrance is just beautiful with a sufficient train, so as not to strangle others, but at the same time to attract attention, and amazing persistence - on the skin of 10 hours at least, including a shower! I tried the beginning of December (Moscow) once in November, the aroma definitely needs air, it can be annoying and intrusive in the room, I felt it very much in myself in the room, probably I overdo it with the dosage. A couple of sprays and enough, otherwise from love to hate, the sequel know. What I want to say. Looking at the visual pyramid on the fragrantics, I would never have paid attention to this fragrance. And all the more, I could never have thought that I could be fascinated by them and even more so fall in love. From the pyramid of aroma, I do not like clear skin (but I love suede) and thin beans. I love wormwood (artemisia), pepper- I respect sometimes love. Teak-? Sorry, I do not know this note, let's be honest. I envy everyone who notes dominant notes on fragrances, such as the same “teak tree”, or cyclopias, kauwai, mopane or something else more exotic)) here is the truth, happy people know how such plants smell, but I have not heard. .. So, seeing this pyramid would not have bought the flavor ever! And I would have passed by such beauty! Try and test on your skin, do not get tired of repeating. But if the fragrance attracted attention, but when they saw the pyramid they were frightened? Calm down .. and try it!

I have been able to test this perfume in a sample. It is a perfume of a high intensity and when they spend about 2-3 hours low at a medium intensity. With a duration of 9-10 hours on skin. In all honesty, just trying this perfume on paper was so strong that I left the pepelito and continued testing the rest of the samples. After a while I returned to Pepe with Raffaello, the aroma had already dried and their aromas were better felt. At that time I was able to enjoy the aroma better. From that moment I felt that it was not a perfume for me, mainly because if aroma I feel masculine. His woody, paprika and leather notes. It has a soapy touch of classic aroma. But it has something that is attractive. When spending more time with the perfume I realized that it is surely a perfume that will not be everyone's taste, but whoever knows how to wear it and appreciate it will enjoy it very much. For me it is an adult male scent, for a man of a certain age but who has been wearing the years with elegance, it is fixed and camirada, a mature but mysterious and attractive perfume. I would not recommend it to a 16 year old, this perfume is for mature man with experience. I could advise that if you do as I discover this perfume, you should give it time to develop the perfume, do not stay with the first impression that it is true that it can be very powerful.

Raffaello to me is like a peachy soapy woody happy fragrance that is similar to Soleil Di Jeddah, Estelle Oud, Nur, And Blue diamond Oud, and i'm sure there are plenty more similar. It is a love at first sight but it became common to everyone. It is (as described by Pantheon at Esxence 2016) the first in line and it describes Raffaello the lover of their story line.

Wow! Why didn't I know about this perfume all this while? I wore it for the first time today and it's been projecting like fire. And the scent is simply sublime. I wonder why no one is talking about this fragrance. It has shot to the top three of my niche fragrances. It ticks all the boxes for me.

Green, woody, aromatic and slightly sweet. The wormwood note is very intense and long lasting. Very intense and projects well. Very niche smelling. I can see a very well dressed man wearing this but I would think it's a formal event scent, not a sexy clubbing perfume.

Even though it contains Wormwood, it does not have anything that reminds me of Absinthe. However, this is surprisingly uplifting and sweet, which I did not expect based on the scent notes. Unfortunately it is too masculine for me, so I gave it to my brother in law.
