Act 5

(I'm a sommelier and I'm describing what I smell two hours after spraying it on skin) A lot of fresh grapefruit, in a dry zesty way - that's what's hits the nose at first and before you know it it will charm you with a light, peppery vetiver scent that just came from a date with vanilla. To missunderstand me correctly - you maybe won's even sense vanilla - but you wish you would kinda mysterious feeling of it. Any time of the year, any time of the day, any ocassion. It's that kind of juice imho. This is your New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. So yeah, I guess it reminds of blackcurrant leaf smell too! A gorgeus and sophisticated smell.

i dont get the hate. this is a very fresh, almost zingy vetiver, which constrasts the bone dry and dusty vetiver we all are familiar with. I dont get a lot of galbanum either, but on the website its listed as a supporting note opposed to here on fragrantica where its the lead. I think this is very refreshing, as its for me is a very new take on vetiver. Very masculine, clean cut and formal. But still unique and newthinking. Quite polarizing scent to be honest, not everyone likes it at all. But the ones that do like it are, in my experience, really fond of it.

i bought this one. Very green and bright grapefruity vetiver. smells ozonic and fresh. its insanely good on paper but still good on skin, alot more mellow. Smells like green fresh air and grapefruit, perfect for spring IMO. the vetiver used is way more green and fresh than more conventional vetiver, and is definately very different.

Be sure to sample these fragrances by Pantomime before buying. The description, even the notes don’t always match the effect the fragrance will have on you. For me they did not live up to the exciting storytelling and motivations of the brand. A bit flat and plain, recognizable styles, but just a bit off. I’m totally into new and niche and ready to try everything, but these fragrances are not screaming for love and attention. Act 5 though, was the most interesting one I found in this series. Very green, citrusy, herbal, earthy, yet still bright.

The opening is a sharp and fresh cut of fresh celery and green pepper. While I admire the scenery, that's not how I want to smell. I don't recognize galbanum in this one at all.

Incredibly weird to my nose. It smells like food drenched in lovage (that “Maggi plant” kind of note) very savoury and umami. Almost like a soup scent. It is a bit too aromatic for me. Literally aromatic, as in: more kitchen cupboard than perfume wardrobe.

Now this is an intriguing vetiver... Did not know I liked either vetiver or grapefruit notes (I tend to avoid them), but this is so green and fresh with a lovely brightness. Feels like a seductive summer breeze in the middle of a sunny day in the Northern hemisphere. Leans masculine but a woman can pull this off for sure. I've only tested on test strip, but next time I get a chance I'll test this on skin!

My partner has a sample of this and the Vetiverol makes this lean very masculine. It's that typical smell you associate with cologne. That's why the Vetiver smells different to some reviewers.

My least favourite from the brand. It's not bad, but it's just... meh. You have experienced it before. Not creating something new in any way. Somewhat of a disappointment.
