P-21 Smoke & Bourbon

The initial opening is a smokey Vanilla and Coconut scent which feels very tropical yet dark. 15 Min - Really getting a heavy dose of the Smoke note anlong with some undertones of berries. 30 Min - The smokiness is starting to fade some and I am starting to smell more Vanilla and Coconut. 60 Min - I am still getting some of the smokey scent but I am also pick up on the woods, Vanilla and Amber scent profiles, Dry Down: The dry down of this fragrance is a Vanilla and Amber scent profile with undertones of smoke and woods. Performance: Projection of this fragrance is OK with the frangrance creating a scent bubble of about 2 feet for about 3 hours. The sillage is also OK with a scent trail of about 2+ feet for about 3+ hours. Longevity is good with the fragrance lasting on my skin about 8 to 9 hours, but becoming a skin scent at about 3 hours.

I bought this today and i’m mixing it with tom ford’s ombré leather. this might be my new favorite combo. on its own, this is very vanilla-y. i wish the charred wood and smoke came through more for me but it is slightly there. it’s a masculine leaning vanilla, but for sure unisex. i like it a lot and i will probably be using it to blend with other scents.

To start - I am impressed. While subjective, to me this is a fantastic scent! Motivation: My Fiancé wanted me to try Dwayne Johnson's (the Rock) new Papatui parfum line (probably a secret crush thing). I was skeptical because it was only sold at Target and Walmart and I typically don't buy designer Fragrances (Tom Ford exceptions). But at $39, there is no risk! I first bought P-07 (Amber & Cypress) and I loved it! So, I promptly blind bought P-01 (Leather & Woods) and P-21 (Smoke & Bourbon). They are all fantastic. To me, P-21 is a simple scent - in a very good way. I can pick out a pleasant Smoke smell mixed with an Amber and Vanilla. That's it. While not the same smell per se, I would liken the "vibe" of P-21 to a Clive Christian - Blond Amber or Frederic Malle - Musc Ravageur. All three evoke a "soft" warm sensual smell that I enjoy but-P-21 is a fraction of the cost of the other two (recommend buying all three). I will end by saying this is an EDP with good longevity and projection (strong 4-6 "legit" hours), which is very surprising at this cost point. For reference, I sprayed this on my hands at 5:30 am and I am still smelling it as I type at 1:37 pm (close to the skin at this point). Well done Dwayne, well done.
