Lumen

The initial opening had dark red fruity and a sweet super soft rubber element that was interesting. And while this hintly plastic bit keeps making itself known as it dries down, it eventually disappears and the fragrance softens to a light and fresh floral sweet sensibility that at times I want to say has tropical fruit sprinkles, but they aren't really there. By mid-day, it's pretty much a fresh and breezy fruity-floral that isn't fussy and sits rather intimate, lasting quite long throughout the day and into the evening. Looking at the notes now, having tested this blind, I wouldn't say it is “soapy”. Fresh? Yes! It is not nearly as soapy as so many that end up smelling very soapy because of some combination of white florals. Here, it's more of a light jester meant to brighten your day. For me personally it is too kind (that's a compliment). While it doesn't have a big nor soapy personality, for those seeking a light and breezy feeling which echoes that California Coast feeling (this being an LA brand) I wouldn't mind riding with this company all the way up the 1.

This is an extremely buttery, caramely, sweet, warm scent. It smells like warm lightbulbs and honey butter. I don't detect any soapiness. The people who smelled it on me described it as powdery (I don't get the powder) and one said it was bordering urine (which I assume is the beeswax note). I find this to be extremely unique and lovely! Lasts 4 hours on clothes, doesn't project super well.

To me this feels like a sugary sweet version of Frederic Malle Outrageous. Has the same steam iron connotation as Outrageous, but instead of a apple and fresh notes, Lumen is a light vapor cloud of white musk and jellybeans. It's sort of a fun scent, but doesn't last long on my skin.
