The Kama

“Kama” feels like a journey of spiritual practice in pursuit of happiness. Beneath it, sandalwood lays a quiet, woody foundation, easing the tension like a warm body pressing close after the lights go out—first, the scent of someone familiar, then the comforting touch that invites you to rest in peace. It feels like receiving a tender response after a hesitant advance—tuberose and sandalwood intertwine and embrace. One thought meets another, two flickers of joy collide into a spark. The scent of flowers and wood merges and amplifies, blossoming into something full and alive. The heart of the fragrance lingers with the steady, soothing warmth of sandalwood and tuberose. Hints of frankincense and florals bring out an almost gourmand, milky sweetness, evoking peace, comfort, and a sense of fullness. I still remember the first time I tested “Kama.” I left the test strip by his bedside drawer. A day later, as we watched a movie, the scent reached me—rich, rounded, radiating happiness. It was sandalwood warmed by body heat, accompanied and alive, never lonely. In that moment, I understood: “Kama” uses sandalwood to express those tiny, certain joys in life—quiet but deeply comforting. Happiness is made of countless such fragments. The great enlightenment might be difficult to grasp, but fleeting, mindful joy is always within reach. As the scent dries down, the floral tones fade from the sandalwood, leaving a warm trace from the frankincense. Patchouli adds a hint of bittersweetness. The emotional weight softens. It feels like a meditative reflection on joy—memories glowing for a moment before settling back into tranquility. A fortunate encounter. Love makes the years gentle.

This fragrance is, wow, just fantastic. Amber city with depth. Warm and creamy, and somehow also airy. It’s just so cozy- peaceful. I could see it being a fall/winter scent, but I for one, absolutely want to wear this every season!

Rich church incense, with some spice vibes. Also this fragrance gave me an elevated aftershave vibe from 1st sniff...reminds me of one of the Jouri fragrance house’s more masculine leaning fragrances.
