The initial spray is herbal - lavender, rosemary, and a crystallized sugar sweetness that's almost medicinal. Like crystallized, raw honey, but not in a pungent, synthetic, overwhelming way like in some popular fragrances (looking at you, Phlur Honeymoon). It's a very specific type of honey - almost a dark buckwheat. These notes give way to the smell of dry grass - of sun-heated hay with a touch of sweet, gentle and powdery yellow florals. The florals aren't floral enough for this to be interpreted as a floral fragrance, however. Think of slowly walking through a prairie field of knee-high, sun-baked grass, the landscape spotted with delicate, yellow, native wildflowers. I don't get any distinct tobacco notes, just a mild, perfectly-blended intertwining of something vaguely smoky with old tree bark and tonka. It's like your loved one embracing you in a long, warm hug after a prolonged hike on the prairies and their adjoining woods. Like laying back on a pile of warm hay on your grandparents' farm in the summer, when the sun hits a little differently and hangs lower in the sky, listening to the sound of crickets and very distant combine harvester. You're plucking the petals off a yellow flower you just picked. Intensely nostalgic and comforting. Very wearable in the summer, fall and winter.

The opening is quite strong. Lavender and TCM clinics. Dry down however, is gorgeous. It's the last day of summer break and the sun is setting. You are playing volleyball with your friends. There's a slight breeze, and you can smell the grass that has been baking in the sun all day. Next month, you'll be starting high school, this time without your friends. This may or may not be the last time you see them, but this memory will be with you forever. It may not be the most wearable but personally I adore it.

I LOVE this fragrance. If there was ever a "smell in a bottle" it's this. Summer for sure! It conjures to mind, laying in a hay field with the hot sun beating down on you, releasing the humidity from the freshly mown hay. I get hints of the herbaceous plants. The tobacco adds to the sweetness. Every time I wear this I'm constantly sniffing myself. My daughter said...mom you smell soooooo good. The scent on skin as opposed to clothes is my favorite.

This smells like rural emptiness and blissful solitude.. Photorealistic sweet dried hay baking in the sun, soft lavender, tobacco, spicy warm tonka bean.. . So sweetly intoxicating upon the initial spray. Has a more masculine tinge to it at first but when it dries down I get mostly lavender and hot yellow hay being carried by like a gentle breeze. Super evocative smell imo, very comforting and nostalgic. FB worthy<3

This is a great example of a perfume that grows on you the longer you smell and wear it. At first I thought it was too photorealistic, but I’ve grown to really value the unique profile and the summer nostalgia it brings to mind. Highly recommend getting to know this incredible fragrance.

UPDATE (Aug 9th, 2026): ################## Not sure what I was feeling or thinking when i tried it a year ago after coming back from my trip, but - I've been doing a round of revisiting all the old samples. This one isn't actually that bad. It's just too sweet for me. Too candy-like. If this was the smell of an actual food I'd be craving it. But as a body scent it doesn't fit me personally. It feels a bit greener than I recall Harvest Mouse being,, and it doesn't really have the same hay/wheat like sensation. The sweetness there was more like cereal or bread, and here it is proper sugar-candy. There's something very familiar about it which I can't put my finger on... as if I smelled it in a tea or something before. Not cardamom, cause it's not really spicy. Maybe it's the tonka? which feels vanillic to me? Honestly not sure. I'm not sure I'm feeling any lavender. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW (Sept 27th, 2025) ################## got this as a free sample with a purchase in ministry of scent. sorry but... no. I smelled way better fougeres. this smells too chemical and obnoxious. very "cleaning product". i just came back from a trip, and this REALLY reminds me of one of those cheap hotel provided soaps you get in your room.
