Golden Wonder

On my first try, I was hit with a powerful, dirty kind of rose in the first few minutes, undoubtedly helped by the oud and saffron. It's a thick, syrupy, almost medicinal kind of scent, but in a very good way. The oud is equally strong and smells wonderful to me, not funky or animalic, but just a powerful, slightly smoky wood. As it begins to dry, that medicinal feel goes away and I get more of the leather and the rose gets a little sweeter, though still dirty. The patchuli makes itself known, adding a touch of green to the fragrance. Over time, things get just a little more rounded overall and everything calms down after a few hours, while still being very noticeable on you. Longevity, sillage, and projection are huge. You will be in a good sized scent bubble for hours. Definitely need to watch your sprays with this. This is the first rose/oud scent I've tested so I can't compare to others in that style, but this is great in my mind. A unique one for me, one that is not going to be for everyone. I recommend trying/sampling before getting a full bottle. Not blind-buy friendly.

Paradise of saffron rose and oud... I know the Oud here is not "real" but in this case I don't care.... This is my favorite kind of fragrance. It's gaudy, bold, in your face, carrying a clear message: "I am here and I know you realize it" This scent feels more masculine to me, but it's not a classic masculine scent. Saffron is king here, paired with a big red rose, expertly softened. It's obvious that the patchouli in the notes makes the scent natural. It's also sweet but not cloying. It starts drying quickly. It settles more gently, not losing its character, but making it easy to use and allowing you to endure this aroma for hours. Indispensable for special occasions!

Saffron is a warm, ambery blend of rose and oud. The opening is harsh, dominated by a bitter oud that overpowers the sweetness and hardens the spices. As it lasts, it gets sweeter and the spices become warm and textural, eventually turning into a creamy amber warmth. it's a masculine take on a rose/oud scent and reminds me of an unstable character. I would wear this when I wanted to feel like a badass.

A true reference for oriental fragrances! After drying it becomes less medicinal and more sweet. Golden Wonder is a floral and woody fragrance, drying with moderate sweetness and slightly medicinal opening accords. But it's close enough that I'm not sure if I like it enough to buy it for myself. You may not always want to smell like this.
