Cedre

Discreet is the perfect adjective for this. If you're not looking for a sillage monster, and are drawn to warm woody scents, definitely check this one out. It's just such a pleasant and soft blend, nothing in this blend competes for dominance, each notes plays together beautifully, complementing one another perfectly. Cedre is a quiet pleasure to wear and to smell on skin. I usually gravitate to more dramatic fragrances (Amouage, Montale, SL), which makes Cedre an oddity, and a treasure, in my collection. I wear it when I want something calming and naturally sensual. It's a fragrance that you can inhabit, and which becomes part of your own scent.

Parfums 06130 CEDRE is a lovely, subtle woody fragrance with the lightest touch of spices and a slight sweetness imparted apparently by either tonka or vanilla, though neither is listed as a note. To my nose, CEDRE is a quasi-linear composition, with no significant development, for the fleeting violet/ever-so-lightly citrus opening gives way nearly immediately to a warm woody drydown. CEDRE is typical of similarly priced, high-quality fragrances produced by a number of niche houses, whose aim appears to be to offer creations that will please those with discriminating noses rather than producing revolutionary, unmistakeable perfumes that occupy a distinctive, unique node on the olfactory Ur-sphere map. An entirely natural-smelling composition, CEDRE is a pleasure to smell, no more and no less. Not a profound statement, just a high-quality warm woody perfume.

This smells quite a bit like Avon's original Skin-So-Soft oil. It's a very nice smell. A billion Avon customers for a half a century can't be wrong. It's soapy, androgynous, and something any person could live in and be comforted by.

smells mildly soapy, woody and a tad bit spicy. very low silage, like a whisper on your skin. this reminds me of fall and flannels and crackling fires. quite a romantic juice. quietly sexy.

I have tried this three times with more amount each time until today I put around 2ml in the same wrist 9hs ago. I haven't been able to almost sense it. Very faint cedarwood and not much else for a nondescript whole. I agree there are many days all we want is to either not have any perfume on or have a subtle one (discreet is perhaps a better word for it, daisyvision) but I find hundreds of scents that offer subtlety without compromising style or expression of something. Here I am very surprised to see there is nothing new, unique or even complex. What is left after minutes is closer to mainstream deodorants in supermarkets than to what any idea about niche can bring to mind. I don't mean to criticise those who like it at all as it doesn't smell bad, I just would like to give my alternatives for this same concept done better imo, in execution and price: L'Homme de Coeur by Divine and Tumulte pour homme by Christian Lacroix.

Cedre is a wood and flower ghost fragrance. A very light, pretty, powdery cedar with a faint barbershop quality from the violet. Despite its barbershop leanings, Cedre could be worn with ease by a man or a woman, because it is soft and slightly sweet. It is very light, and well-blended so that the voilet, musk and cedar all weigh in about equally. Its projection is low and it does not last very long, but it would be appropriate for any occasion as a result. Maybe not for a loud party. Then again, who knows? Cedre is the whispering voice of a beautiful female ghost who wanders the halls of an old bed & breakfast outside of town. She retreats to the lace of the curtains on the windows, but comes out to breathe her delicate sweet perfume right before you round the corner to discover no one is there.

Very low sillage and longevity. Generic and not bottle worthy to me.
