Lierre Rose

I received a 100ml bottle in a giveaway hosted by forum member extraordinaire, Plrowden. Fate must have arranged for me to be drawn winner the month this was offered because I absolutely love it. I have several perfume ‘loves’ but this beauty ranks very highly. So much so that, before I finished up my gift bottle, I went online today and purchased a new bottle at full price (and worth every penny in my opinion). I don’t do that very often! It is a sweet floral that gives me slight hints of light incense. It is different than the typical floral and must be experienced! I wear it every night to fall asleep to...thank you, Plrowden!

I like this take on a rose, a sweet, slightly mentholated rose. It starts out with a candy note. I'm looking for praline or similar but I guess it is the cardamon and flower sweetness that plays tricks with my nose. The rose is there in a soft way, not blatant or sour. I pick up a mint note from the cypress. The wood is there but very very soft. I really like it, but I will have to try it some more before I know if it will end up on my shelf.

I cannot add much that is not already said by the previous reviews. This is fantastic and delivers at an attractive price point. Hopefully it will not be discontinued. I can see this taking a permanent place in my favorites.

I bought this to wear for spring, and it's already got me longing for those first blooms of the season. Very similar to Joy, which my ima, (momma), used to wear. I like that it's got a little more green in it than Joy. This is feminine without being too girly in my opinion. For that reason it's one I'll wear with pleasure. Lasts 8 hours + 8/10

What an interesting fragrance. It seems to wear different on everyone who reviewed. I opened with clear rose scent and a warm pepperiness. I ecpected to see white pepper in the notes, but cardamon makes sens3 as nd accounts for the warm notes. As it settles I get more creamy tuberose but the cardamon staus strong

My first experience with this was straight up tuberose, which I was not happy with. I got a strawberry 'laffy taffy' vibe to boot, and no luscious basenotes. Enter the second act. Mabye this needed to air, but I tried it again last night and had a different performance. Gone was the horn heavysection known as tuberose and in came the soft, pitch perfect winds: violet, rose and earthy florals. And this tune I like. It also wore more 'green' on me, and I got more of the catchy clicks played by cardamom. Honestly this is a good frag. Very interesting with plenty of contrast. Not at all your typical 'been there smelled that' floral perfume. This is one you'll want to wear twice before forming an opinion; as tends to be the case with anythign complex and noteworthy. Your mind just won't have a reference for it at first. I'm still not sold that this is a floral green; I'd call it a floral oriental with a strong white presence with hint of springtime refreshment. More people need to hear about this,certainly.

I finally know what "green rose" mean! The first few minutes with Lierre Rose are a fresh, damp, floral. It quickly deepens to a more heady, heavy floral, in which the tuberwose is very reminiscent of Datura Noir. This is not a sharp slap of tuberose, more of an embrace thanks to the rose and sandlewood. Over time, the heady feel lightens more than Datura Noir. But the nighttime feel remains--not meaning I would only wear this at night, just that there is something dark about this scent. It's very lovely on, great for going out. Very femme. A little dangerous. Not sure the sillage is work-appropriate... but you wouldn't be wearing this to work if your goal was to be appropriate.
