Osmanthus

When I ordered my bottle of Olibanum Parfums 137 I received a free sample of Osmanthus and Bigarade. I dabbed (the sample is a dabber) a small amount on my wrist and it was very nice I thought. As the day progressed, I kept having to smell my wrist over and over again because I found it smelled so nice and yummy and beautiful and softly sexy. I liked it so much I decided to buy a full bottle of it. After testing it out I came to the following personal conclusion: I should not spray this fragrance on my clothes, because on my clothes is just basically smells like a nice smelling ladies deodorant. I must spray this on my skin because then it develops into a much rounder and silky warm type of smell. Even though it's feminine in my opinion, I like it better when sprayed on my skin. I love to keep smelling it from my skin! However I realized it's still not a fragrance I would personally wear quite as much in public. For to me I personally would rather be using it during a snuggling rendezvous. And I also realized that even though I love a scent, it doesn't mean that It would completely fit me personally. But the scent would be something I would rather smell on somebody else. But still, I find this scent very addictive.

Like the reviewer below, this tester came with a bottle of Olibanum. Today, on a February morning with the sun out and the promise of winter ending, I felt that a scent of osmanthus was just what was needed. This is incredibly pretty and captures the apricot, tobacco leaf and soft leathery nuances of the note very well. It is rounded out with musky note, which makes it feel sexy as well as just pretty. It was a big hit with my husband and son. As with other scents from this brand, I find them great quality, reminiscent of more accesible niche scents (this is like a more floral Daim Blond) but they lose power over time. But hey, I'd rather lose power than content. I've had a lovely day with Osmanthus and would definitely consider a bottle for any time except the colder, cloudier days of winter.

When I think of the first time I was in Paris I remember a soft, perfumey odor emanating from passersby as I gazed in awe at the wide boulevards of the City of Lights. Osmanthus by Parfums 137 possesses that very same carefree but consummately classy"odeur" that softly wafts through the air and spreads joy. Yes, 137 is subtle and discreet, doesn't smell "niche" or sexy but most importantly reminds me that oftentimes beauty is most special when it arrives on a gentle whisper.
