Lavandula Vera

This is a very pretty fragrance, but unfortunately extremely weak. It needs to be sprayed very liberally to not entirely disappear in 5 minutes, and even then the scent is extremely subtle. On the bright side it smells very natural and delicate. I use it as a bedtime scent for a soft lavender bubble, that’s not overpowering. The lavender smells like a much weaker version of the lavandin essential oil sprays you can buy in the Provence. It’s the same type of lavender, so I sometimes spray some of that in the air and step through it so it lands on me and my hair, to give it a bit more oomph. The tonka/amber base leans almond-y and almost vanillic. It’s hard to distinguish any notes other than the lavender though, and that one is weak too. I think I’ll try layering it with Living Lalique to bring the lavender forward a bit more. Will use it up as a bedtime (not sexy time) scent, cause it’s pleasant and suitable for sleep, but it’s definitely not worth repurchasing. In the Provence you can buy 250 ml bottles of Lavendin essential oil spray for €16 and you get the pure juice for that. Smells pretty much the same but 100x stronger. I’ll stick to that.
