Scorza di Sicilia

i've been tried this twice, and i like it a lot.. this fragrance is like "the most beautiful light-natural-orangey version of my body-odor (sweat)".. i'm very picky about orangey perfume, coz they reminds me of public room spray.. but Scorza di Sicilia has very natural smelling, never cloying, light but have nice depth so it's not flat (i rarely cherish flat-scent), soft to moderate sillage, moderate longevity.. the opening is softly-moodlifting natural light orange.. as times change, it develops into woody-spicy-er aromas.. this part of "sweaty accent", make this rather intimate-sexy smell.. & the good news is, it's perfectly unisex.. ^^

Refreshing, green, juicy bergamot with woody-herbal background - you cannot dislike it, not espacially if you like green joyful scents. Bergamot is dominant but other citrusses, vetyver and cedar are also detectable. This scent is a definition of Mediterranean paradise to me - thw green citrusses, evergreens, cedar and mossy notes - in style of Aqua di Parma but even more tempting:)

Beautiful! Citrus without smelling at all like countertop cleaning solution. A bit like blood orange but with something smooth and almost creamy in the base, like a vanilla custard (but don't worry, this isn't a gourmand). I'll keep my eye out for a full bottle.

Makes me want to scream and pout and kick some senior Berdoues employee in the shins. Because it's so, so painfully beautiful and so agonisingly short-lived. Opens with one of the truest, sharpest, zestiest, most aromatic orange peel scents you could imagine, then ebbs to barely-there, but still delicious, salty-citrus skin scent within an hour. This lovely aftereffect lingers for maybe an hour or two longer. Then it's gone. And this was when trying in great heat on well moisturised skin. In less favourable conditions you might never even get a whiff of its hidden brilliance. Even if you took a full bodybath in the stuff you couldn't capture its initial effect for any longer. Why oh why oh why? Why even bother making it, let alone buying it? This could have been a champion, never mind a contender. Instead it leaves me fuming with inner orange rage. Waaaaaaah!

I completely join trabuquera! Love at first spritz! Your perfect invigorating, zesty citrus true to its name. The scorza (designates citrus rind in Italian) I get comes mainly from fresh orange that's juicy, yet not overripe and craftily blended with bergamot that's not overly greeny. The woody notes really appear on the dry down only, an understated, refined skin scent. Unisex because it's devoid of the usual gender code: no sweetness and those wood notes aren't too warm. Projection and wear time are the poorest I've experienced EVER. It disappears into nothingness after 1h max on boy's skin, a bit longer on mine. Why???

Very nice citrus scent, one of the better. Now and then I get a whiff of the original Parfum d'été by Kenzo from the '90s. Different aroma's come and go and I can really see myself bathe tin this on a hot day.

Nothing special about this fragrance, just a citrusy lemon/orange notes with a hint of wood . Fades so quickly

Pleasant rendition of everything italian-y and summer-y in fragrance world. Carries certain coolness and coldness with it, almost like an early spring sea breeze. In the beginning I strongly sense bitter, white parts of orange - nothing sweet - and this quickly fades to become a skin scent. Clean, woody, yet somehow reminiscent of sea water left to dry on your skin entire day after a swim. Acidic? Doesn’t last long, fades quickly, can support an impression, but doesn’t leave one on its own. This almost feels like a first sample of a fragrance to be: it’s nice, but very clearly missing something important to become a full fletched work.

Fresh, citrusy with petitgrain/bitter orange scent. On my skin the scent acts like an eau de cologne = gone in 2hours. The dry down is weird : bitter orange (slightly acidic) with a marin/sea salt vibe, I dont like it. Although the price is 'not expensive', get 4711 Cologne instead.

This smells like fizzy Sprite and expensive skin cream. I don't think it smells like Neroli Portofino at all. I don't think it smells like citrus rinds (scorza) either, it's quite sweet. It's sweet, light, sparkling, and citrusy. I don't notice Scorza di Sicilia even five minutes after application, but it does this strange thing where it reappears randomly, and that's when I think I'm smelling some expensive skin product only to realize it's this perfume. It really does smell like skin cream, but a super nice one, much nicer than anything I use. This drydown does last a good amount of time, even though it won't be noticeable to those around you. I think this would be remarkable on summer sprayed liberally on gauzy clothing or scarves. It's that kind of airy fragrance. Not refreshing in the tradition of citruses, but it does smell very clean, and will keep you feeling that way if sprayed enough times.

Scorza di Sicilia is an excellent example of very budget friendly perfumery that is designed to really deliver an optimal value for money (especially considering that you can find Berdoues scent on Ebay for like 30 bucks). So what I get here is a massive blast of bergamot oil in the top, like squeezing a freshly cut slice of citrus in your fingers, very natural and fresh. Right underneath I get a good amount of a clean and neutral musk backbone, very subtle clean and slightly linen-like. In the base some dry cedar-y wood notes, not much vetiver if any. In the distant dry down it feels quite lotion-like. a bit sweeter than the opening, unisex, and overall neutral.

Mmm, the opening for me was very dry citrus peel and a nice woody vetiver. From there it seems to reconstitute the citrus a little, but remains not very sweet on my skin, though perhaps there is a a touch of grapefruit blossom? There's something slightly flowery in this for me, but predominately it remains true to the citrus rind and wood theme. I like it! I totally agree with ntabassum, this likes to play hide-and-seek, and would likely perform very nicely in warm weather or on warm skin.

Now "Scorza di Sicilia" is kind of weird! it beguc as a Sicilian citrus then settle into woody, metallic, and bits of animalic musk. The clay vetiver is mixing things up as at first i thought this will be a summertime blend but the vetiver cedar mix changed the scene. It's fair but it's more of a clay like blend with metallic hints that isn't that good as i thought it was, It's ok for those who like slight metallic blends.

How to start? This is classified as a woody aromatic. It starts off with a nice burst of warm vetiver, which quickly gives way to a sweet orange juice smell. White florals aren't mentioned at all and yet that is exactly what it became on my body after a short period. Finally, after less than an hour, it gave up altogether. It's not a bad fragrance, but it's nothing special and it's longevity is nil.
