Byerley

For every harsh green woody scent lovers, this is it. Not for those who like combo with flowery og strong spicy accords, diverting the scent to something else. A wonderful resinous, woody scent. The scent does not evoke warm cosy association. It is more being in the woods scent. In this way, it is a very green Christmas scent, that is there where the tree stands. It feels like you have sap on you, and when real, one knows how harsh it can smell. The resinous scent is not titred much, so you get pretty much one scent all the way through. I suppose vetiver here is actually for the acceptability of the parfum at all. Same goes for the spices, that disappear about one hour. This scent is more likely for a connoisseur. It is by far not a default fragrance. It will fit for bigger festive occasions with many people, visit to a theater, and also for outdoor activities. Then, of course if you are a boss, this will show off your position. Since I don't consider it a youthful scent, it's not for those types of parties. It is not much seductive either, unless this does the job for your partner. Sillage is quite striking. You'll fill up the room, and if you see that there is space around you, this scent may be a significant contributor to it. Longevity is good for up to 8 hours lasting power. The scent is nice when you get a whiff from time to time, but can be nauseating when overspraying and keeping to confined and small rooms.

This is a very stiff and dry wood scent. I purchased Byerley and 6 other PDMs as 5ml samples, and this is the first PDM I have purchased as a full bottle. I am super impressed, and I find this scent to be under rated. It reminds me of freshly sawn wood, with the cardamom note providing a slight menthol / mint freshness, and the cedar and vetiver notes conjuring thoughts of a pile of fresh coarse saw dust. This is lumberjack material. It has to be said that it is not really a green scent, though it has vibes of a cedar / pine forrest. The vetiver is always keeping the scent dry. I never liked vetiver before Byerley- I just didn’t get it. This scent doesn’t smell like something with cedar / vetiver in it, is IS cedar / vetiver. Once the perfume wears in a little, the resin vibes come out. To me it conjures thoughts of a trees sap, and rounds the perfume out in such an elegant way. I really like this. It is very masculine, very powerful, and a little goes a long way. I have worn it in warm and cool weather and enjoyed both instances. Suggest it’s more a mid temperature spring / autumn day time scent... It could be worn in winter, but it lacks a little warmth / spice. In peak hot summer, the dry vetiver is relentless and it lacks freshness / citrus / floral. This is not a playful or cosy scent - it is dry. Office and work ready. I like the fact Byerley is so firm in its delivery. A lumberjacks pride and joy.

Byerley reminds me a lot of Creed's Royal Water...a very different fragrance, but do to the popularity of some of their other people-pleasing fragrances, it just doesn't get a lot of love. The same is true for Parfums de Marly's Byerley which, according to Rodney Dangerfield, doesn't get any respect. As others have mentioned, Byerley is a simple, straight-forward, no nonsense vetiver-cedar scent that borders on boring and mundane since this type of fragrance has been done a thousand and one times before. However, Byerley is much more...it is a vetiver fragrance done right with a really nice earthy-smokey accord that is deepened after being blanketed by dark guaiac woods and resins. To me Byerley is a formal office fragrance with a light smokiness that implies serious and professional. Moreover, it's a really nice quality vetiver fragrance that may very well appeal to vetiver fans. Performance is solid in that it lasts 6-8 hours on my skin and projects moderately, which is perfect for this type of fragrance. Byerley isn't a knock-your-socks-off scents...it's just a solidly reliable fragrance that will impress the owner day-after-day and year-after-year. Cheers!

I sampled PDM - Byerley about 7 months ago. This was more in the beginning of my fragrance journey when my nose was still developing the the more daring and strong notes in perfumes. Back then I found this to be a extreme smokey, bitter, dark (almost tar like) woody smell. It was a bit too much for me and i put the sample in my discarded sample box. Since then i developed a taste for vetiver and more rich and dark scents in general. Last week i sampled Byerley again and i must say that my opinion changed. I still found it to be smokey and a little bitter. But once the initial smokey opening dies down a little, you get a beautiful earthy/bright vetiver and cedar combo that gives off some kind of outdoors gentlemen aura that i've come to love. Overalls the vibe of this scent leans more dark and is best suited for fall or winter months. Longivity is ok with 6-7 hours on my skin. Projection is only good for the first hour or two. After this it sits much closer to the skin. It's not the most popular of the PDM line and a bit of an acquired taste. Don't expect many compliments from girls ;-)

I have to admit that I am a De Marly fan and a Vetiver lover! I own PDM's Byerley, Encre Noire L'extream, TF's Gray Vetiver, and liked Diptyque's Vetyverio and Roja's vetiver and smelled a punch of others I didn't care for. And hands down this my favorite vetiver fragrance. It opens with Bergamot accompanied by mystic resin (which is elegant light dry resin), then moves with the help of long lasting cardamom to a woody vetiver, the vetiver here is woody with dark facets (I think the guaiac wood), slightly green (maybe blended with cardamom). It's mostly linear, but so masculine, elegant and dressed up kind of a scent. I think it is not for everyone, and it is under-hyped by reviewers and community. I'm wearing it year-round as the natural vetiver gives citrus light smell when it is touched by water, that's what happens when I wash it or get out in hot and humid days. I hoped it had more versatility, so it would be my signature scent.

If I would be asked blindly guess which company manufactured this scent, first that come to my mind would be Penhaligon's. It is the type of perfume into Penhaligon's alley, but with better longevity, sillage and projection. It has somewhat chemical scent to it if sniffed too close within first 2 hours, but it doesn't have it at all from distance longer than 1 ft. It is very classy, elegant and natural gentleman's scent. Although it evokes image of well dressed Bloody Brit (LOL) of middle age, it could be easily used with casual attire, and I suspect even shirts and polo. It lasts 8+ hours on my skin, maintaining at least arm length projection all this time, and after that 2-3 hours more as skin scent. And I would give it 8+ out of 10 score for all: scent, originality, performance, easy to wear, versatility, and compliment gathering. Despite of it's high price, I would still give it solid 7 in prece to what you get category.

The best vetiver fragrance ever?!? Maybe. Definitely one of the best vetiver fragrance ever! Vetiver combine with great quality Oud and cardamon = a hella of a fragrance. Not the best from the house of PDM, but it's still a great fragrance. A great fragrance for the office and for men who are considered true gentlemen. This fragrance is very mature and would not fit well if you're trying to wear this fragrance at the clubs. Girls are not a big fan of vetiver so don't expect much compliments when you're wearing this. However, it's still a really great fragrance, and one of the cheaper ones in this house. A must buy for your collection and a must buy for "gentlemen". Scent: 9/10 Performance: 8/10 Sillage: 8/10

I'm actually surprised by how much of complement monster this is juice given that it's an old school uber masculine, green, and earthy scent with no sweetness. Even young people love this sent which blew my mind. This scent is a vetiver scent on the same lines as Terre D'Heres, Encre Noire, and Terrae Essence but much spicier. This is really good and I love this juice and its a damn shame this is discontinued. If somebody were to bring back a scent like this that had the right amount of sweetness to compliment the spiciness and earthiness of the vetiver this would be an absolute hit, but as is this juice is very unique and FANTASTIC!!!

I’m so confused on people’s reviews on this. I was so hesitant to buy this due to the negative reviews on here. But holy ***k this is outstanding. It’s woody, smooth, elegant, sweet, and beautifully blended. It’s honestly perfect. It reminds me of Haltane, but less sweet but also more versatile. That same creamy woody feel. This is 10/10 and I’m starting to think having owned so much from PDM that there is not a bad scent in the line. I put this off for so long and missed better deals than the one I got due to being uncertain. This is perfect.

Not a linear fragrance. Opens quite harsh. Very spicy and smokey. The resins starts to come up and you get a smooth woody yet extremely smokey vetiver. I didn't like it at first, took me a while to get used to. Yes it does smell like a dying campfire in the rain surrounded by a dark green forest...at the end you get a clean smooth vetiver somehow reminescent to Creed original vetiver drydown. I love this drydown!! My first Parfums de Marly fragrance on my list.

Byerley is totally an olfactory experience and not just a fragrance. This is blend of wood, incense, cardamom, resin, vetiver, clove along with the punch of lime. There is elegance, spiciness and perfection in it. If you are into vetiver-based fragrances, just grab it. This one is best with the superb performance. Opening is all about the mystic resin with bergamot followed by the middle made up of cardamom and woody vetiver with some green notes.

Not entirely sure what's up with some others' noses below, but for me this is a delightful grassy vetiver. It doesn't smell dirty or like weeds, or whatever. A little reminiscent of Bois de Vetiver. The opening is a little spicy and smoky, but it soon dries down to quite a pleasant, unchallenging zesty green scent. If you like and understand the profile of a deep but bright vetiver you'll no doubt enjoy this solid release.

I have tried almost all PDM fragrances now, and while Herod is still my favorite, this one comes in a close second. You must enjoy cardamom and vetiver because these two notes are the main players here. I came across a review that said it smells like an antique wooden closet, and I completely agree with that. However, it is in the best possible way. In my opinion, it is a masterpiece.

This triggers two memories: 1) the inside of wooden barrels after being used to transport orange juice concentrate 2) an 8 hour nighttime drive with a van full of freshly cut Cedar of Lebanon logs. It is as aromatic as crystallized Alexander and as tangy as marmalade left to dry in the sun on a saltmarsh. Lightly draped over this is a liquid smooth Vetiver.

Byerley is an underrated vetiver masterpiece a la sauce PdM. I have a lot of vetiver and it makes my top list. Smooth, potent, original, superbly blended. The cardamon and gaiac are amazing in that one. Leans on the dry and a bit bitter side with almost licorice like wafts. I am actually wearing it right now in very warm weather and it is wonderful.

Good one from PDM. Not outstanding but very well blended woods and a quality scent (trademark of the house). Its safe and can be worn to a many different occasions including work.... i can see why some think it boring but it is just quiet and not very colourful. there's nothing playful about this one, nor is dark or mysterious....

Big juicy vetiver with a hint or slight incense coming through.........i'm guessing because of the cardamom and resin notes. The quality is clear and present, not cheap smelling, at all. Maybe green enough for summer and incense-y enough for cooler temps. Good life and radiates well. Felt good wearing this one.

I love this. I find it very sensual, spicy, incensey and woody. I wear it a lot, and get loads of compliments, from both sexes, and lots of men especially love it on me. It gives me a feeling of strength, and vitality. It's terrific!

This fragrance is just fabulous ! Once you spray it, you feel that you are in France during 1700s ! Its very sophisticated and luxurious and highly recommended to try. Thumbs up and great artistic fragrance by Parfums De Marly !

Dark earthy sweet vetiver that turns rather soapy in the far dry down...I like it a lot and I haven’t met a woman who doesn’t find it sexy but of course it has to match your aesthetic makeup it’s extremely masculine

Completely Torn between Byerley and Guerlain Vetiver PARFUM on being the best Vetivers on the market to date...This is the Essence of man in a bottle!

Its a solid 9/10 woody fragrance, smells pretty good, it is very good everyday scent. I just don't understand hate on this one, its a pretty good one.

An underrated gem. This is a fantastic fragrance if you have an affinity for vetiver. Similar to Encre Noire, but with higher quality ingredients.

I was looking for a masculine, office friendly and truly versatile scent that can be used most time of the year. I want the PdM performance (8-10+ hrs) and I feel Layton is a bit too ambery and spicy for warm weather, and I feel Percival is too sexy. Most Aventus type of scents are also a bit too fresh for colder weather. Byerley is a truly hidden gem, because to me it is a perfect combination of notes that offers true versatility, in the sense that it works all year and it doesn't go too far in any direction, allowing it to be used at work as well as with a suit. It starts with sharp citruses with vetiver behind it, it's admittedly kind of boring at first. Then it develops into a fresh, sort of sweet yet bitter masculine scent, with a woody creamy base. It's not meant to raise eyebrows, and it won't. It'll just make you smell manly, clean and expensive. It doesn't project too much. It's not Carlisle. It will create a scent bubble for about 8-12 hours. My bottle is 78% so technically a parfum. Recommend everyone that likes vetiver to sample it! Edit: I love it! It's honestly a sexier, darker version of Perseus, their latest release in the same realm. You will receive lots of compliments for this one.

Today is Friday the 13th👻 and this was fitting. It opens surprisingly harsh and powerful but gets softer after about 30 minutes. In the beginning, it comes off Cologne-y 🧴💨 like old school teenager wearing his father's fragrances, if you know what I mean. Then it ends like a clean men's woody soap 🪵 🧼 This is not for the younger crowd in my opinion. This for a man whom wants to wear a fragrance for himself and no one else. There is ZERO sweetness but it's likeable! Not my usual scent profile. My critique is the longevity. After the powerful opening, it will fade into a skin scent around the 2-3 hour mark. For the price? I paid $204 on sale💸. Grab it at a discounter if you like this because there are other scents in this genre for a MUCH better price tag. Again, I like it enough but not the price tag. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 5/10 Price: 4/10 Overall: 16/30 A great alternative to this is Azzaro Pour Homme or Quorum by Puig.

professional mix of incense,wood,resin,cardamom,clove,vetiver and alittle lime.after 1 hour you smell very elegant incense/wood/vetiver scent that more suitable for 30+.in my country(iran)we have a kind of chewing gum that we called SAGHEZ.it made of resin of special tree.exactly the same scent. remind me alot amouge journey but litlle better i think.i have sample of this one and maybe my next buy will be this.i can call him better quality of brecourt contre povoire.9/10 ترکیب بسیار حرفه ای و هوشمندانه اود،چوب،صمغ،هل،میخک و کمی لیمو که بعد از یک ساعت یک بوی بسیار باکلاس چوبی اودی به شما میده. منو دقیقا یاد عطر برکورت کونتره پوویر انداخت که البته این ماندگاری و کیفیت خیلی بهتر داره. نمی دونم چرا ولی منو یاده سقزای کردستان میندازه که قدیما مادربزرگم بهم می داد. فکر کنم دقیقا همون بو. کلا کارای مارلی واقعا با کیفیته و اگه از هر کدوم عطراش خوشتون اومد شک نکنید . از نظر ماندگاری و پخش بو هم که مثل همه کاراش عالیه.

I got a sample of this because I didn't want to blind buy. Glad I did! The opening is very pungent to me. It is very off-putting for the first few seconds. However, after a minute it is a very clean and elegant-smelling perfume. This wasn't my reaction just the first time, but every time I spray it for the first time and go for a smell thinking maybe I'll react different this time I still turn away at the first smell but then coming back to smell it over and over once that pungent start goes away. It is an overall nice fragrance. I can see why it might have been discontinued if most people, like me, were put off by the opening the first few seconds. However, there's something that keeps me coming back to smell this. I have other perfumes on my priority list but would like to own a full bottle of this some time.

در یک کلام تلخ و تند و ترش و سنگین.در ابتدا روایح خیلی قوی و ساده به شما هجوم میارن مثل اینکه وارد یه عطاری شده باشید بویی خشک خشک و ترش.این سادگی ابتدایی منو یاد ابتدای استشمام توباکووانیل تام فورد میندازه اما رفته رفته عطر پیچیدهتر و بهتر میشه و مسلما سلیقه خاص خودش رو میطلبه.اگر به کارنامه ی این خانه عطر نگاه کنیم میبینیم سعی شده که روایح متفاوت و مختلفی پدید آورده بشه که همیه ی سلیقهاه و احوالات رو پوشش بده و از کارهای تکراری پرهیز شده که خیلی این خانه یعطر رو دوست داشتنی میکنه برای من.اشاره به سقز از طرف یکی از دوستان بسیار جالب بود و یه همچین حسی هم به همراه حس چرمی و گیاهیش داره.پخش خوب وماندگاری خیلی زیادی داره

Very underrated PdM, not very mainstream or mass appealing at all, Byerley is fresh but very mature. Main player is a dry and earthy vetiver with a natural sour bergamot squeezed onto it along with some freshly cut cedarwood, it smells old school with a classy freshness and quality that is way better than the likes of Perseus, only wished it projected and/or lasted more, it’s not really a great performer and even overspraying can only go for so long, still top 10 PdM for sure

A subtle, mysterious, somewhat smoky perfume that starts off with bergamot and cardamom notes and then dries to reveal woodier and balsamic notes with vetiver, this one is a refined and sensual beauty. Perfect to wear when you don't want to be overtly noticed, this perfume has a soothing and elegant disposition. Very masculine with moderate sillage and projection. Excellent longevity. Wonderfully blended lingering beauty.

I have tried most pdms and I think this is a very under rated pdm it is definitely not a very modern scent with virtually no sweetness bit I think it can be a very good cologne for any formal occasion or just at a sudo professional job If you like sweet scents don't buy but if you want a clean scent that isn't to loud I would recommend

A fairly simple spicy cedar and vetiver. Opens with a nice earthy and smoky vetiver, and the cedar and the amber resins becomes the more prominent notes over time. I think you could get a similar scent for way less money by picking up Bentley Absolute.

Some time ago, I walked in a small park lost in fog with an enchanted clearing in the forest, centuries-old trees, the smell of the rainy forest reminded me of Byerley... Fragrance: 8/10, Longevity: 8/10, Sillage: 7/10, Flacon: 9/10.

A really classy scent is what Byerley is, most people would probably not appreciate this one which Is understandable. Smoky vetiver with bergamot and some spices, definietly revolving around the vetiver. Underrated.

I blind bought this, and instantly regretted it. At first smell, it seemed too bitter and sour, almost nauseating. It also seemed very linear, meaning, I was looking for the unpleasantness to subside, but it just didn't seem to. Now, nearly a year later, I revisited this and it didn't seem so bad. Perhaps, the familiarity over time bred acceptance. At any rate, I gave it a full wearing for the first time, throwing caution to the wind. I wasn't spending much time around others today so is wasn't much of a risk. I found that in the long dry down, it actually started to remind me of something else. Terre d'Hermes perhaps? No, the vetiver and earthiness was still too strong. Encre Noir? That's it! I am a fan of Encre Noir, and Encre Noir A L'Extreme. I sprayed A L'Extreme next to Byerly, and in the drydown, the similarity was striking. Byerly leans a little more burning match vs the earthiness of Encre Noir, but the vetiver is very similar in both. Encre Noir is a bit more wearable, of the two, IMO, but I have a newfound appreciation for Byerly.

Opens up with a good dose of woods and smokiness, followed by a more creamy wood as the smokiness gets less noticeable. The smokiness is more like an incense than campfire. Not a love at first sniff. I consider myself part of the masses because if I like a scent at first sniff other people also tend to like it. This leads me to conclude it is not mass appealing. However, I do find the creamy, woody dry down to be quite nice; in fact, it reminds me of walking the Montreal brick-lined streets in the cold air of a lovely, sunny spring day after I tested out an Amouage sample - I don't remember which one now, but it was also nice and creamy, but short lived (my first realization that expensive fragrances were not all impressive in the performance department!).

We're continuing the Parfums De Marly streak today with Byerley. This is a fragrance I had frankly never even heard of before I started looking at PDM's catalog. It doesn't seem like they spend a lot of time or effort advertising this one, as well as a few others I found. There wasn't a whole lot to be found online about it either, but from what I uncovered it's mostly a classy, old school vetiver fragrance. Let's get into it; Scent: The opening is woody, spicy, and aromatic. The primary notes I get are vetiver, cardamom, bergamot, and guaiac wood. The strongest of the notes are the vetiver and cardamom. The vetiver in this fragrance comes across as a dry, grassy, and woody. Some people compare the aroma of vetiver to dry, freshly cut or uprooted grass, and I can definitely get that here, along with a solid dose of woodiness and a bit of smokiness. The cardamom is spicy, but not warm like I'm used to with the note. Instead it leans more into an aromatic aspect, making it a bit more subtle and gentler than what you would find in something like Dolce & Gabbana's The One. This is followed by the bergamot and guaiac wood. The bergamot adds a bit of citrus to the top with some more aromatics and spice on the back end. Lastly, the guaiac wood adds more smoky woodiness in the background. As the opening develops more, the smokiness builds and for a second tricked my brain into thinking I was smelling fireworks; not acrid like firework smoke, but distinct enough that it conjured up the thought. The dry down is woody, aromatic, and earthy. The primary notes I get are vetiver, cardamom, bergamot, and cedar. The strongest of the notes are the vetiver and bergamot. The vetiver in the dry down still has that classic vetiver tone; woody, green, and earthy, but it's noticeably stronger and sharper. The bergamot has also remained surprisingly strong in the dry down with the same spicy, aromatic, and citrusy profile. This is followed by the cardamom and cedar. The cardamom still has the same accord from the opening, just a bit more muted to sit behind the vetiver and bergamot. Lastly, the cedar confers a familiar, sturdy woodiness; like a piece of lumber. The smokiness is pretty much gone in the dry down, eclipsed by the sharpness of the vetiver note. Performance: Initial projection was surprisingly light at around arms length. Sillage was a bit weak as well with a scent trail that was noticeable, but only slightly. After about 3-4 hours the projection and sillage were pretty much gone, with just the faintest hint of fragrance within arms length. When to wear: Byerley is a spring/summer fragrance most suited for daytime wear. It can be worn both casually and formally; dressed up or dressed down. This would make a great office fragrance as well due to its unobtrusive nature. Blind buy: If you like vetiver this is probably a safe blind buy for you, just keep the performance in mind as you'll need to re-apply often. Final verdict: You know to be honest I don't really know what I was expecting. I'm not the hugest fan of vetiver-focused fragrances. As a supporting note it's fine, but when it's the primary note I can't really jive with it. So needless to say, Byerley didn't really resonate with me. The opening was okay, but once it started drying down and the vetiver became more sharp it lost me. What put the finishing blow on this fragrance was the performance, or lack thereof. It had minimal projection and sillage for about 3-4 hours then it was gone. Now I know I can't expect 12 hour performance from everything I put on, but I know PDM can do better with fresher scents. The fragrance gets points for versatility, as it can be worn for numerous occasions. Mass appeal factor is so-so. Some people like vetiver, some people like myself don't; so it will be hit or miss. All things considered, I can understand why this one got discontinued. I'm sure it goes without saying at this point, but Byerley is not one I'm going to be buying. If you like strong vetiver maybe you'll enjoy this, but there's better options out there in my opinion. Scent: 5/10 Longevity: 5/10 Sillage: 3/10

when you smell it , you will feel a leather and smoky mode . there is also a spicy sense with above mentioned compounds after a few moments a tart smell like cloves will appear In this phase, it reminds me the style (mood or ambience) of "Journey Man Amouage for men" and "Black Bvlgari for women and men" I've come to the conclusion that Marly has a keen interest in arabic-style perfumes with the exception of Herod and Pegasus. سلام دوستان زمانی این عطرو تست می کنید بویی چرمی و دودی به همراه یه بوی ترش ضعیف رو حس خواهید کرد . سبک کار دودی و گیاهی هست که درش حالات ترشی هم وجود داره البته کنار اینها یه حالت تندی وجود داره که واقعیتش نمیدونم چه چیزی باعثش هست ولی مثل فلفل تیز نیست . بیشتر شبیه به تندی زیرست شاید علتش چرم و صدر و هل و خود میخک هم باشه که با ترکیبشون با همدیگه این حالت رو به وجود آوردن . این حالت ترش منو قشنگ یاد میخک میندازه من از میخک بدم میاد ولی تو این عطر بوش خیلی خوبه و منی که متنفرم از میخک رو اصلا اذیت نمیکنه چه برسه به شماها اگر بخوام کمی سبک عطرو براتون واضح تر بگم شاید اینطوری بهتره که بگم این عطر سبکش شبیه عطر های Journey Man Amouage for men Black Bvlgari for women and men میتونه باشه البته جورنری کجا و این کجا نه فکر می کنم اصلا خوده میخکه یا بینی من مشکل داره یا واقعا تو عطر میخک وجود داره از بینی من که بگذریم این کار مارلی به من ثابت کرد که علاقه شدیدی به عطرهایی به سبک عطرهای عربی داره از نام گذاریش تا بوی عطر به غیر از دوکار هرود و پگاسوس بقیه که اینطور بودن پس این کار رو کلاسیک و به سبک عربی میبینم یه مدت که میگذره اون حالت تند شبیه تندی زیره کمرنگ تر خواهد شد که این رخداد مکررا در طول زمان تکرار خواهد شد بعدش هم اون حالت دودی چرمی و سنگین کنار میرن شاید بعد از 45 دقیقه. به هر حال چیزی که باقی خواهد موند همون بوی اولیست منهای حالت دودی چرمی و تندی که بود پخش بوی عطر هم در 1 ساعت اول خوفناکه ولی بعدش پنچر میشه شاید کلمه متوسط خیلی زیادش هم باشه بعد از 1 ساعت اول نگران ماندگاریشم نباشید چون مثل سایر اسبهای دیگه میتونه ساعت های زیادی بتازه

@FreshLiving - You obviously haven't sampled Hamdani then. It's nuts to think how many people would have bought "Hamdani" thinking they were getting "Habdan". Literally the worst vs one of the very best, probably only surpassed by Layton... To my taste Byerley was way down there though, just not as way down there as Hamdani... I must confess I'm not a major fan of Vetiver though... A big swing and a miss... At least it swung for the entire day.... ;)

There's a lovely fragrance inside this one, somewhere, but unfortunately to my nose the cardamom note makes it unbearable. This is a personal preference and not a reflection of the fragrance as a whole. In fact, there's a lovely combination of bergamot and vetiver which later loses the citrus bergamot to feature more of the cedar. Yes, it's ubiquitous and derivative but it's also well done. Simple but elegant and effective.

This is such a pathetic scent, it was an instant dislike for me, such mossy and fungal scent with raw vetiver and resins. This is one of the scents I dont even want to full wearing to it because I dont want to torture people around me and myself. Not even worth getting a decant or sample. They should discontinue this garbage right away.

If you hate harsh vetiver don’t come near this fragrance, mediocre scent with a bad longevity it doesn’t even last for 6 hours heard this company is known for their performance....... my second perfume and both of them don’t last more than 6 hours what a waste of money

I had a misconception that vetivers are likeable until I encountered this one. Wet woods and vetiver. Such a whack combo. Never ever dare to blind buy this one. This looks like perfumer almost went too far to create a challenging scent of usual notes. 2/10

Smells like a Buttered Popcorn Jelly Belly mixed with some civit catsh!t. Nasty and overpriced and ugly bottle and very pretentious marketing cr*p in the style of Creed's nonsense myth. Glad to hard pass this one (and luckily not even made anymore)

The opening is VERY green and remains that way for quite awhile. Once it settles down, it's actually not horrible except that it remains linear throughout. A masculine vetiver scent that lasts quite awhile. A bit too grassy for me.

Ew, WAY, WAY too woody and dry, no sweetness, no aromatics and no balance. Smells like a perfume for a grandpa.

This smells like the pickled gherkins in the McDonalds burgers. It’s a big no from me.

Smell like pure real oakmoss oil (evernia prunastri) and vetiver. Dark bitter.
