Cassili

Just got this from PDM and spritzed myself in it, then went to dinner. Initial impression is, it has a spicy, woody scent that dominates for hours. I partially hoped to smell the plum as the dominant note because I love the plum notes in Marc Jacobs Decadence. The rose is actually quite pronounced at first, creamy and rounded. The frangipani and petalia are also prominent, but I’m not detecting any mimosa at all. I’m on the third hour of wearing it in mild weather (SoCal), and I constantly get whiffs of it from my neck and arms. It’s very pleasing, and I’d call it sophisticated, not girly or flirty. It feels more complex and layered than that. I find it more serious, even. I have nothing to compare this to in my modest collection of 30ish fragrances. Sillage is moderate. My husband can smell it on me in a chair next to me, but I don’t think it goes much beyond that. This is fine considering I’m not trying to provide a fragrance for the entire room. It’s overall intriguing, and not the flower or fruit bomb I thought it would be, but I’m really enjoying it. I’m still waiting to ‘hear’ from the base notes, but so far it’s just spicy and floral. It is precisely Oriental Floral, and with its potency I would say it’s suitable for day or night, and for any occasion. Longevity is promising, but I’ll have to edit later on that. Going strong at three hours and no sign of fading. Okay. I’m trying not to look too weird smelling my arm over and over again at dinner. Ever have a fragrance that makes you do that? EDIT: lasts about four to five hours where others can smell it, then it’s a skin scent only you can smell. I tested this two days in a row, and I’m loving it even more day two than the first day. I can smell the plum accord on day two much better than I could on the first day. I am very happy with my purchase!

After years of wearing perfume, testing and exploring different brands, I came to the conclusion that Parfums de Marly is my favourite fragrance brand. I own six of their fragrances and wouldn't be without any of them. Cassili is no exception and is probably the most underrated fragrance from PDM's feminine line. It is the most beautiful peach-dominant fragrance I have tried, and yes, there is no peach in the notes, but the colour of the bottle perfectly matches the feel of the fragrance. It is sweet, without being sickly sweet, sophisticated without being mature or boring, and has a unique blend of fruity and floral notes that work perfectly together, and are balanced by a beautiful vanilla and tonka bean in the base. If you want to amp up the vanilla, this layers beautifully with Kayali Vanilla 28, but in the Spring and Summer, Cassili would work perfectly on its own too. This is a very unique fragrance, and while it might not be the most ground-breaking profile, the way it is done makes it stand out among a crowd of fruity floral fragrances. The only other fragrance that it's slightly similar to is Amouage Guidance. If you like one, you will probably like the other. I am always shocked when I hear people say that Cassili doesn't last long on them, this performs beautifully on my skin, lasts the whole day and has a strong projection. I usually re-apply my fragrances every 3-4 hours, I don't need to do that with Cassili. I never struggled with this fragrance and I'm glad I gave it a chance and because it's now one of my all-time favourites. Give it a try if you're looking for the perfect peach fragrance.

I adore this. For some reason I cannot really detect the individual frangipani note however. More a creamy fruity blend. It smells to me a lot like the apricot products from the Body Shop in the very early 90s (back when the body shop was good) and I have been searching for this scent for decades. I associate it with Christmas time/ southern hemisphere summer. It has a touch of sunscreen creaminess, and I loooove the bottle. My mum had a peach coloured bucket hat she wore on summer holidays. This is basically one big nostalgia experience for me which is why I like it so much. The scent profile is feminine and quite juvenile but I find it refreshing on my skin and I think it's a beauty for summer. Great longevity and pleasant sillage. This does not smell expensive or luxurious in my opinion, if the price point is a stretch for your budget I don't know that it is worthwhile. As many people are commenting - this is giving cheap fruity body spray at a hefty niche price tag. I wish it came in a 30ml.

This is my scent today. With a lot of mixed and negative and odd reviews on here about it, it truly is odd how we all have different reactions and responses to the same fragrance. To me, Cassili is breathtakingly beautiful. I also don't gravitate much to a lot of "for the masses" types of perfumes. And if that's for you and Cassili is not, that is totally fine. We have preferences for a reason. And everything is subjective. With that said, to me Cassili is floral sweet. The Frangipani and red berries are the stars. I get the tartness from the red berries mixed perfectly with the sweetness of the frangipani. It is blended so beautifully, in my opinion. The rest are basically just elevating the entire fragrance. It is airy or not dense and hypnotic and beautiful to me. It is quite strong, however not suffocating. I do not smell anything reminiscent of Delina at all with this fragrance or any rose at all.

I think Cassili might be my favorite PDM for summer! I know it’s often described as peachy, but the beginning leans more plum to me (or pear even tho it’s not a note!). I tried SO hard to find a dupe/similar fragrance, but while several of the recommendations open with similar fruity-floral notes, nothing else I tried had the airy floral softness that develops with Cassili. There’s also a very slight green freshness to it that makes it different and lovely, fresh and sweet at the same time, almost aquatic. And I adore the drydown, very soft and creamy. I love this one from start to finish! Very well done. A good body lotion as a base is a must with this one for longevity tho! My husband almost never comments on my perfume, but he loved this one and said I smell like a “soft flower petal,” which I thought was pretty accurate!

After getting a small sample of this one, I'm waiting patiently (not really) for my full bottle any day now! I love the peach/plum opening and the brightly sweet vanilla with a hint of warm sandalwood. It's a very summery, peaches-and-cream scent that is soft, sexy, clean and fresh all at once. Too many fruity perfumes are heavy to my nose, particularly when they combine fruit and vanilla vibes, but this one strikes an elegant balance. Perfectly lovely! I feel like this is the scent for a warm spring day or elegant summer evening - think of wearing a flowy white dress, strolling past an orchard on your way to dinner in a courtyard garden.

I think Cassili is underrated. This scent feels like something new in my collection. I love the initial spray on my skin, it gives off a fruity scent with a bit of tartness, very peachy but not candy-sweet peach. The dry down is what made me decide to get it. I can still detect the peach, but the tartness fades into a creamy, light base with a slight floral touch. It blends perfectly with my skin, and the creaminess isn’t cloying. Perfect fall-winter perfume, can be wear during spring but I guess you need to layer it with something lighter perfume to tone down the creaminess.

I have a tester of this and I’m definitely going to buy a bottle. It smells like this jammy ( from the plum ) sweet sour peach with a velvety texture and lovely sandlewood. I sprayed this on in the morning and when I was walking to work with my coworkers I took off my jacket (still outside) and they both at the same time turned their heads to me saying omg your perfume! This perfume spread around me like a thick cloud more than an arms length away. This is a beast blended to perfection, like all perfume the marly scents. A lovely sweet happy bubbly girl fragrance

I love Cassili! It’s a gorgeous fruity scent , perfect for any season. You can really smell the red currant, bulgarian rose and vanilla. It’s not particularly creamy or powdery, at least not on my skin. It’s also not overwhelmingly sweet, it has a certain tartness that reminds me of a fresh peach. It’s very young, juicy, playful, sweet ‘n’ sour, unique and addictive! Something that doesn’t sit right with me is the longevity and overall performance. It’s not ‘beast mode’ like Delina or Valaya. Besides that, it is a gorgeous, gorgeous fragrance!

It quickly becomes my favourite Parfums de Marly. Girly, ultra feminine sweety. Very juicy, bubblegummy, sweet, floral and cute. Vanilla at the centre, with sweet blonde woodiness around it. Love it. I love frangipani and plum in my scents, and both play a big role here. Less loud than Delina, but very present. Universal season and occasion-wise. Lovely in summer. I feel it on myself clearly for 9 hours and it lingers till the morning. It does not change much from its first minutes. Perfect also for a sweet bride.

This was my signature perfume for years and everytime I wore it I've got loads of compliments. I honestly think it is the best fragrance from the whole Parfum de Marly collection, others just smells plasticky to me. When I tried to give a chance and try something new from their collection, I only liked Delina and Valaya, others smelled disgusting to me, literally like soap. I still went to back to grab this one because it still was the best. It is so feminine, expensive and lasts so long. Definitely worth a try.

I hate rose perfumes but this I love! It opens with tangy redcurrant but the rose quickly appears. This not the powdery sweet rose that always lingered around my great aunt though but a light sweet, sparkling rose of summer garden parties where afternoon tea is served with pink champagne. This is complex - there are layers of sweet florals but with tangy fruit and a hint of green freshness. This sings summer to me. I have a tester of this scent at the moment but I must have a bottle!

This smells so amazing on the skin. It's soft and delicate but juicy and fruity at the same time. It never gave me a headache and dries down to a powdery softness. A little too powdery for me, but still my favorite along with Delina and Meliora. I do have to say that I hate the bottle color. I think if they wanted peach they should have made it a clear frosted glass (like Meliora) or an opaque cream. The orange throws me off so much it looks like a toy rather than a perfume.

Oh, this is Parfums de Marly's hidden gem. Princess Peach. Orange roses at sundawn. It's a creamy rose frangipani scent. Like opening a toy from the 90s (Barbie, Lovable Bears). Nostalgia in a bottle for me. Babysister of Delina exclusif and less pungent. It has plum instead of Lychee like the Delinas. Not every scent has to be a beastmode headturner. Cassilli is a type of scent that just makes you smile. She's little miss sunshine, just like the beautiful bottle.

I got a decant of this from someone as I wanted to try it on skin and it REALLY surprised me as I really like it. From first sniff it brought back memories of past summers and made me quite nostalgic really. Is the scent mind blowing? probably not but it evoked happy memories for me and I got whiffs of it on my skin and clothes all day so that happy feeling lasted. A very feminine and summery scent and while it might not appeal to all it is a yes from me.

A pure baby wipe scent that dries down to a creamy sandalwood (thankfully I'm a massive fan of babyish smells). Very sweet and fruity in warm weather, which makes the stone fruits and frangipani shine, giving it an almost tropical feel. Wearing it in colder weather allows for the red currant to break through- it's juicy, tart, and just sour enough to give the creamy sweetness an edge. Very pleasant and smooth, an elevated fruity floral with some depth.

This is gorgeous! I received this in the PDM feminine discovery set and I am obsessed! For some reason, it reminds me of Scrubee peeling from Lush. I already see myself wearing this during the summer and will purchase a whole bottle. I get mostly plum and frangipani on my skin, and honestly, I'm in love. It is a cozy, sensual, and happy scent. Sillage could be better, but longevity feels ok (I need to try it out for more days.)

I love this fragrance. Has a fruit salad or tutti frutti sweetie scent about it. It is girly and feminine. Dries down to a baby powder, slight musk. Although it hasn't got peach in it, the dry down does have peachy vibes! I can see myself wearing this as an everyday or signature fragrance. Will smell so wonderful in spring and summer. Light, airy and uplifting. I am so pleased I got it on sale for a great price!

Okay, I REALLY REALLY love this but I do have to wonder if anyone else smells lady bits. I’ve never seen anyone say that (the same way they have about Amouage Guidance), but this smells specifically like MY lady bits and I don’t hate it! It’s just interesting that it does lol. This is sweet and fruity in a non-juvenile or synthetic way, elegant, and super feminine. Plummy and creamy and youthful and cute.

This was the first niche perfume I ever fell in love with, and it was immediately like, "I have to own this. How am I gonna afford that?" This was the gateway fragrance for me, and I wore it on my wedding day because it just felt like the happiest, most beautiful version of myself. My husband, mom, grandmother, and best friend all love this fragrance too. I just wish it were more affordable!

I ordered a discovery set from Parfums de Marly thinking I'm gonna love one of the Delinas, Oriana or Meliora but I ended up adoring this one even if it wasn't love at first sight. It's not what I usually like and it took me a few days to really appreciate it but here I am loving it and buying a bigger bottle. Life can be unpredictable like that and this is why discovery sets are amazing.

Delina, who??? Cassili is the superstar, the gold medal winner, the finest spritz that PdM has ever produced. I love her - so fruity - a peach bomb, yet she has an inherent sophistication that is very special. Such an easy to wear fragrance that will be enjoyed by me all year round. Cassili is too good to be put in the cupboard for the colder months! Its a love for me!

It's a very approachable scent yet refined. I appreciate less sourness than in Delina too. While I see the comments about lack of originality I personally read very good realistic peach with vanilla. There are so many fruity smells but they all have something weird going on in the base. This one is very consistent. It's a sweet girl but with a twist.

This is a beautifully, well made fruity floral. The frangipani , plum & vanilla notes mixed together almost give it a peachy, creamy undertone like peach cobbler in an elegant restaurant! I do love this in the cooler weather, like Fall. In summer a little too cloying. Sweet and feminine, innocent and playful! Seamlessly blended and exuberant!

Why do people keep mentioning peach when this has no peach and it doesn't smell like it either? Confused...maybe the color of the bottle?? Anyway, I really enjoy the tartness of the red currant against the florals and plum. Most of the time it's giving expensive body lotion and it layers really well with other frangraces.

I love this fragrance for women. My mother recently purchased it for herself, and I think she made a great choice. I don't get a lot of the hate on this fragrance; it smells very peachy, and it's a unique, sweet, fruity women's fragrance. I've never smelled a woman's fragrance like it before, and I think it's great.

Gorgeous perfume! Smells like a peach in the most natural way possible. A fruity, powdery dry down that smells so expensive and delicious. A good gourmand for those who don’t like anything too sickly. Lasted on my clothes for 8 hours. I find the dry down to be very similar to delina just without the rose.

Although there are no peach notes, Cassili is a powdery, plummy, peachy, creamy, and sweet perfume, with a vanilla dry down. When I purchased Delina Exclusive, I was given Cassili to try on, and I fell in love with it on the first try. Cassili is a cousin of Delina Exclusive, and I simply adore it!

No peach note listed, but altogether the notes combined make it a real peach. This is soft, uplifting, and gorgeous. I don't think Parfums de Marly could ever make a less than wonderful fragrance. Side note: it also kinda smells like Harajuku Lovers Lil' Angel but more elevated!

One of my favorite PDMs! Smells like a creamy and yummy shampoo. Clean and very pleasant! However, it is quite strong so apply lightly otherwise it can get cloying. I love wearing it on a sunny day out. I think it’s quite expensive for a “safe” everyday smell.

Smooth, soft and slightly sweet. This scent, on me, can work day and night, through all four seasons. It's comfortable, but unique. Not overly floral, not overly gourmand, just sweet enough. It's just perfect on my skin. Easily one of my favorite fragrances.

A May Day Queen running barefoot through a fruit orchard in a crown of ribbons and wildflowers. Innocent and wild at once. This is a gorgeous fruity floral with a grounding sandalwood at its base. The bottle is a peaches and cream work of art.

Wow, I’m shocked by all the negative reviews this is getting. This fragrance is very unique and alluring, and it most definitely does not smell like barbie dolls or shampoo! What the hell??

Beautiful peach perfume. First seconds on skin is sour, but the dry down is sweet and creamy. I’m getting bored of Delina and Meliora. This one is way more fun and feminine in my opinion.

The fuzzy peach of my dreams. I can’t douse myself in it or it gets cloying, but a spritz here and there is absolutely beautiful. Peche Cardinale has nothing on this.

At this moment, I am convinced that this is the most gorgeous perfume I have ever smelled in my life. Supremely underrated and possibly misunderstood, imo.

Definitely a favourite from the PdM line, wish there was a more lactonic/creamy undertone as opposed to the perfume-y smell that lingers.

Cassili is the girl who was not popular in high school but got super hot after. Truly a hidden Gem. It's soft, creamy and feminine.

Sparkling, light and fresh on first spray, then dries down beautifully. I need to add this to my collection!

Definitely an easy everyday wearable perfume. Not a special occasion evening fragrance, but expensive. :-/

I very much enjoy this fragrance, it feels like a very classic, but basic type of perfume. It smells lovely, and if I were gifted a bottle I would gladly wear it and enjoy the experience. However, the price... I simply cannot justify the price of a full bottle. Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely fragrance. It kind of feels like it's in the family of what you might expect from a Tocca perfume, which for reference, are more around the $100 price point. Noting that I almost blind bought it as I'd found it at an excellent price... my feelings on that are partial disappointment (it is a lovely fragrance and I'd like to have it in my collection), but part relief. I think there are simply more unique fragrances that I could put that money towards, even at the discounted price. And though I am not aware of an exact Arabian dupe or clone of Cassili at this point in time, as the fragrance is not unique, I think it would be relatively easy to find something that gives off these vibes! I haven't sampled the entire Tocca line, but it would not surprise me if they made something similar. Definitely have similar vibes, for sure... not sure about similar notes, but am motivated to investigate! Though I will say, personally, I love the Parfums de Marly bottles. Tocca bottles are pretty too, however. I'll try and remember to come back and update my review if I can find a fragrance that's comparable! Cassili is a sweet, classic, feminine, dainty perfume. The fragrance really does match the color of the bottle. It's not too mature, or serious, but not juvenile either. I picture this fragrance being worn with a sundress, in a field of wild flowers. It truly is quite nice, and I am definitely not bashing it. My feeling is just that it is not unique enough to justify the price point! Or, I actually think it would make a beautiful signature scent. If there were an arabian dupe for it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. However, there is not one out there yet! Or, if I could find it at a sizable discount, I might pick it up then! Very very pretty and innocent... lighthearted.. I don't think this is a fragrance anyone could honestly hate. Though I am continually surprised by the pure loathing I sometimes see in the fragrantica comments, so I'm sure those people are out there. It's very non-offensive. I can see hating the price point, maybe. But the juice itself... like I said, very non-offensive, and light!

A guy's opinion: Opens up with a burst of either Coconut/Bourbon Vanilla + creamy yellow Frangipani Floral + sparkling Bergamot citrus + Red Current Berries + hint of a Plum note + watery Pink Rose found in Delina + hint of Lychee to give it acidity, also found in Delina + a touch of powder + a hint of very light Sandalwood comes into play in the dryoff to give the dna some backbone. Loved it on first spray! Found it much lighter in viscous/dense than her sister 'Delina', a perfect sunny summer day fragrance. The creamy yellow Frangipani Floral is the leading star here. Juicy, refreshing, non-cloying, youthful, beautiful, skating along the lines of a department store body spray, a perfect fragrance in a flowing summer dress, innocent, ready to fall in love again dna. Personally i feel this is slept-on as it doesn't pack a wallop as Delina did on release and still continues to stride, and because of that, this fragrance will always remain in her shadow until discontinued - and it will because of the lack of sales. Personally id love to see PDM make this into a exclusif version of this like they did Delina! Frangipani Floral still has the potential to be made into exciting innovative fragrance dna's. You will also have to over-spray to get a sillage. The juice moisturizes the skin after spraying, which i like in fragrances. I love smelling this fragrance on a woman during a sunny day hangout! Good positive vibes & fun to be had with her! Let me take you out on a patio lunch full of stories & laughs, then walking up & down the streets window shopping, sipping on a bobatea, while you hope & try to figure out if we also spending the evening together, kinda vibes. :P 3/5 Woofs!

I have been trying out Perfum de Marly for a week. I have so far tried Valaya, Delina, Safanad, and of course this. I am going to be quite honest and say that you shouldn't waste your money on this house unless you are so completely in love with a fragrance. In my opinion none of them have the sort of DNA that is special enough to splurge on. I feel like I have smelled way cheaper fragrances that are similar to this one and the rest in the house. I feel like truthfully its nothing special. I definitely agree with one of the cons above "Could be mistaken for Victoria's Secret body spray" there is something a bit colying and fake about their fragrances that make them remind me of bath and body works or Victoria secret sprays. I will say that I do have a special spot in my cold heart for this little lady. Its a sweet (almost Gourmand) cocktail of fruity and floral notes, perfect for spring and summer. It's sophisticated but still a little innocent, its not a super mature scent profile in my opinion. I wore it today for a job interview and I feel like it fit perfectly with the weather (sunny and 73) and the occasion. On me it doesn't seem to perform all too well, I sprayed it all over around 11:00 am and now at 4:00 pm I can still smell it but its not all too noticeable. Now all I can smell is the vanilla. I believe that if this was better performing on me I might consider buying a bottle. My opinion still stands though, I feel like I could easily find a dupe for this.

Let me start with: I’m not one for fruity florals. But the one house that can make ones that I love is Parfums de Marly alone. While the one I own is still a midway point between my usual style (amber vanilla) and fruity florals, just the fact that Delina Exclusif has fruits at all and I still love it is already a big surprise, and an even bigger feat that I love it enough to own a full sized bottle. Now, Cassilli. Beautiful girl. Fruity, summery and easygoing. Not like me at all, so I’m not getting myself a bottle. But the person I imagine when I smell this is a really good smelling girl, with hair just washed with Garnier shampoo, hydrated, soft and supple skin that smells like fruity lotion, glossy lips, clean/summery makeup with rosy cheeks, naturally flawless skin with a touch of bronzer, full of vitality. Smells like someone kind and that loves the outdoors, vacations and sweet & fruity drinks. That one friend that would comfort you after a breakup with ice cream and that gets married to her first love, her highschool sweetheart. Sweet and light. More long lasting that expected. The best description for this scent and for who would wear it is a single, simple word: lovely. It’s absolutely lovely. Lively, lovely and lovable. Really, a hidden gem in the line, but weirdly enough, that’s really fitting for her: this is the beautiful girl next door.

Love this scent but unfortunately it doesn’t last over an hour on my skin:/ even out of the shower. I’m going to let it mature a bit and return back to it because it smells so good and I want it to be a summer winner! Even though there is no peach note it smells like a fresh peach in the beginning! Someone said it reminded them of delina if the rose was replaced with peach and I can see where they’re coming from but I wish people would stop trying to compare every PDM fragrance to delina. This girl is her own queen and shines on her own! I get a subtly green grape like quality on the top notes that gives it this juicy mouthwatering feeling. If you enjoy fruity body mists but want to elevate your fragrance game I think you would enjoy this if you’re one of the lucky women it lasts on and if you have the coin! For sure gonna be a summer fragrance for me even if I have to top it up quite a bit!
