Godolphin

Opens with the same sweet fruity high end shoe leather scent as Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather and Maison Alhambra's Toscano Leather. The leather accord itself has the same turpentine quality as Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather and most other leather frags whose leather accord is approximating the smell of leather shoes. I've said it elsewhere - the leather accord in perfumery isn't actually recreating the smell of cowhide itself (which doesn't have much of a scent), it's recreating the smell of all the chemicals and materials used in the creation of a leather good. For frags that evoke the olfactory profile of leather shoes, they recreate the caustic, turpentine-like smell of the glue used to attach the leather upper to the midsole. They also throw in the scent of rubber in there to evoke the heel or outsole. They may also throw in the scent of some of the chemicals used during the tanning process of the hide - whether it's chrome tanned, vegetable tanned, glove tanned, etc. 15 minutes after initial spray, Godolphin has mellowed somewhat. I remember Tuscan Leather smelling stronger than this by this point. Toscano Leather was even stronger. Projection is at least arm's length. Possibly more. Sillage is excellent. It hangs around in the air long enough that you can smell it a few seconds later passing by where you just walked. 1 hr 45 min in: Development is similarly linear to Tuscan Leather. TFTL is so well blended compared to Toscano Leather that it comes off as linear as you can't really distinguish between notes. Godolphin seems to be the same. 3 hrs: No change in scent or intensity. 5 hrs: No change in scent but intensity have retreated quite a bit. 6 hrs: The turpentine smell has dissipated leaving behind a sweet floral scent. I can smell the rose but it's blended with other flowers. 8 hrs: Intensity has contracted significantly. Firmly in skin scent territory now but it's still going. Longevity is eternal. I'm writing this paragraph at the 13 hr mark and I can still smell it on my skin. It probably still has 1 hr or 2 hr left before it disappears completely. However, useable longevity is 8 or 9 hrs before it becomes too faint for anyone else to be able to pick it up off of you. Performance-wise, this has both Tuscan Leather and Toscano Leather beat.

MASTERPIECE! This is my honest review deep from the heart. I can tell I have tried a lot of parfum in my young life of 30 now. Also I worked in a sensory lab for a short time and my nose is mostly very sensitive to some smells and odors. Seeking months for a Parfum with Leather and Saffron my long travel seems to end by now. I found a niche Masterpiece. I tried 7 different leather Parfums on the market and only Tom Fords Tuscan Leather I loved the most until I found This Golden Masterpiece. Both seemed 100% identical. Byredo has something close too. It opens like Byredo - Black Saffron. Fruity and fresh. Saffron and musky flowers will make u addicted to sniff it again and again. After an hour the leather starts to grow. The scent becomes darker and darker but still not that leathery, dusty and linear like the smoky Tuscsn leather.Tuscan leather is more itchy and incens like to my nose. Godolphin is more soft and unisex. Kind of vanilla,amber and raspberry in a mix i get.Both match closely after 6 hours. Still Tom Ford ist a bit longer lasting as it is a EDP. Godolphin is a EDT! But a heavy one! Sillage is very good. Like TL. Montales - Aoud leather is a different kind. I dont want to compare it as it is totally different and more made fo a man I think. It has pepper and oud that dominates. Anyway. What our nose will get is a leather imitation by well crafted blends in a scent and not the leather of a dead animal as we know it. Leather is hard to define. Here is one way to remind me of lovely leather: Godolphin. My new Signature. I am so in love after weeks of comparing. 125 ml for 120 € was really cheap. TL is about 170 € for 50ml. Highly recommend to all Leather/saffron lovers. I think it is the best in its Category by now. Second is TL by Ford and third Byredo - Black Saffron, which doesnt project leather that strong and seems to last less then the other two. Try it. I see many reviewers compare this fragrance with Tuscan Leather and Ombre Leather from Tom Ford. Let’s take a look at the release dates of these fragrances: - Tuscan Leather: 2007 - Godolphin: 2010 - Ombre Leather: 2016 (in the Private Blend Collection) - Ombre Leather Parfum: 2021 - Eau d’Ombre Leather: 2024 All the above fragrances share similar leather scent profiles. However, it would be incorrect to say they are identical or clones of Tuscan Leather. To me, Godolphin is smoother and fruitier compared to Tuscan Leather. The opening of Godolphin is softer, and the smokiness is less pronounced than in Tuscan Leather. The raspberry note in Tuscan Leather is distinctive. That said, owning both may be unnecessary unless you’re a collector aiming to complete your collection. I’d recommend sampling both on your skin to decide which one you prefer. Comparing this fragrance to Ombre Leather is, in my opinion, not entirely accurate. While they do share similar scent profiles, the differences are even more noticeable. Ombre Leather generally has a milder leather scent and is more unisex. Ombre Leather Parfum is a toned-down version of the EDP, with less depth and some ozonic vibes, making it even more unisex in my opinion. It’s still a beautiful fragrance, but it should not be directly compared to Godolphin and Tuscan Leather. As for Eau d’Ombre Leather, I haven’t had the chance to try it yet. However, based on the notes alone, I’m assuming the difference from Godolphin is even greater. Yes, Tuscan Leather did come first, but that doesn’t mean other leather fragrances released after it are all clones or copies. In my view, all of them are great leather fragrances with strong performance. Sample them side-by-side and choose the one you like the best.

Our perfume nose abilities are sometimes of great importance, and from the point of view of the "average" nose, he can smell one thing, which has nothing to do with the notes themselves, nor with the scent profile of the perfume itself. And it is interesting how, for example, one thing can remind someone of something beautiful and another again on just one thing, and the third detects the whole spectrum of notes and perceives the entire fragrance composition. Godolphin-this fragrance is supposed to be a similar version of the famous Tom Ford Tuscan leather... Others say it smells like Colombian white powder: ( : D )...The very profile of the Godolphin fragrance has quite a linear atmosphere and as soon as you apply it you get a hint of strong sweet raspberry wrapped in something dark (leather). it lasts for quite some time...Even when I smell it several hours later, I get comments from others that I wonder what this nice smell is? Parfum de Marly really does certain things exceptionally well, and despite the fact that it is a replica and not an original, they make this scent the famous Tuscan Leather is somewhat more wearable, I would say, because it never becomes overwhelmingly overpowering or dominates the whole situation, but one smooth version of it. A job well done!

Now this is a unique one. On first spray, you get a nice leather whiff, but it's complemented by something faintly fresh and sweet that reminds me of cucumber. Of the 4 or 5 leather-based scents I've spent time with, this seems to do a very good job of retaining the strong, masculine nature of the leather but refining it with enough sweet, fruity notes that it never feels strong. My first impression is very good. Looking at the notes, I'm really impressed with how they blended aromatics and fruity notes so that it all seems to hit your nose just right. With that said, "Very good" is not exactly enough to drop around $300 for a 100 ml bottle unless you are an avid fragrance collector or you just love the scent so much you can't live without it. I would say the dry down keeps the strong leather character but it's now sweetened by cedar and musk base notes and still very nice. This is a hard one to rate because it's about double the price of most scents I sample. However, with PdM you are really getting the quality for every cent you pay. I'm giving this a strong 8.75/10. It's a really nice scent but not mind-blowing, and there are other leather scents that provide a similar experience at a much more affordable price point.

#20 on my Fragrance Review Journey Day #2 and my first full day of wearing this awesome sent. Picture this... a brand-new fancy Italian leather jacket sitting next to a succulent and sweet edible arrangement. This is what Godolphin reminds me of. I understand the similarities to Tuscan Leather. To my nose, Godolphin is a bit sweeter. Tom Ford is sophisticated and elegant to wear. Godolphin is also sophisticated and elegant to wear; however, there is this flirtatiousness to it that makes it more versatile for me. The leather accord is well versed. If you are a fan of leather fragrances, this should be an easy wear for you. If it is your first time, this is a great place to start, especially with the low prices you can find this at through discounters. I read a couple of comments where the reviewers mentioned a weed smell. I am happy to report my nose didn't detect it. My complimenting co-workers didn't detect it. My wife certainly didn't detect it (she is wearing it too). Sprayed it on at 9 am. Came home ready to take a shower at 8 pm. Godolphin was still on my skin. My sweater was still radiating and creating a nice scent bubble. Zero performance problems. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for this fragrance.

Very comparable to Tuscan leather. A bit fruitier, but it’s less focused on specifically raspberry. As with most pdm’s, it’s a bit more refined and mass appealing than the original inspiration. Not necessarily better, but is equally as high quality and just a smoother (also less bold) version of TL. For me I find this a bit less polarizing and a little easier to wear. At resellers you can find this for a much better price (especially a 75ml, you won’t be wearing this all the time). Great for cooler nights out, and dressed appropriately. Outside of that, it could be hard to pull off. I personally wouldn’t wear this in warmer weather, or really any daytime situation. Definitely has a mischievous and outgoing vibe that reeks of nighttime fun. I drool over this scent. Smooth, sweet, masculine leather that has a lot of sex appeal. In my eyes, this is too much of a statement-maker fragrance to wear casually or to an office. Powerful sillage within a few feet, and im able to smell it on my skin for 10 hours. Potentially weeks on clothing. One of the most intriguing and addictive leather scents there is, it’s just not for everyone..or everywhere. Scent-9/10 Performance-9.5/10 Versatility-3.5/10

pauroj says MdM are overpriced and overrated. For sure overpriced but that are almost all fragrances in the Niche segment. Overrated, maybe but not Godolphin. I am a leather fragrance lover. It is the Dominant Note of which I have the most fragrances, by far, including 2 Shalimars. That is how much I love leather fragrances. For me Godolphin is my favorite leather. It tops TF Ombre Leather EDP & Parfum, Tuscan leather, Acqua di Parma Colonia Leather and dozens of other great Leather based fragrances. Price: I paid 129 €/75 ML. It is indeed the most expensive leather fragrance I own. Since I only have a 30 ML Tuscan Leather for which I paid 93 €. So in fact Godolphin is cheaper. Also Ombre Leather Parfum for which I paid 105 €/50 ML is more expensive, while I find that version quite disappointing compared to the original EDP. Furthermore, If you find it very weak maybe you got a dupe or just did not spray enough.

My latest purchase ; PDM - Godolphin I am a huge, huge fan for Tom ford's Ombre leather, and Tuscan leather, and now smelling this masterpiece... I'm at a loss for words - everything I love in a leather, woody aromatic fragrance is encased in this wonderfully displayed bottle. To me personally it feels like the nature brother of the ombre leather, and Tuscan leather, so if you are like me and are acquainted with this scent profile, you'll instantly fall in love. Being a maintenance technician,I’m always moving around, inside of places and sometimes outside, so sometimes the longevity of my fragrances will vary. Longevity ; 3-4 hours strong, subtly gets weaker for the next 4hours. So 7-8hours ((please read my above paragraph)) On chill relaxing days, it goes strong for the whole 6-7hours before it even starts to slowly get weaker. My clothes will smell of it the next day though. Sillage; moderate/strong (7.5/10)

This is my first review and it will be very short, as I’m not as artistic as many of you folk out there are, painting a picture from a fragrance is really enjoyable to read. I just thought I’d add my $0.02 to this, and I only smelled TF TL last week, and I nearly choked on it (not that it smelled bad, was just too overpowering to my liking). This (Godolphin) however reminded me instantly of TF’s TC, but in a softer, less harsh way. When I sprayed TL I felt I was letting a leather and angry genie out of the bottle whirlwinding me, hen eventually calming down a *bit*. Godolphin on the other hand is subtle and smooth, and sits gracefully on my skin. I hope what I said made sense :). I’m off to purchase PdM’s Pegasus Exclusif, as I think Pegasus is divine, so hoping so is the big darker brother. I hasten to add, most of my collection are blind buys from reading the ever so helpful and enjoyable folk on here.

I grabbed a great deal on 2 4.2 oz bottles of this. I tried it on the store paper card, WAY too leathery, in fact, seems to be nothing other than leather, like screaming in your face. Decided that I'd try it before returning it on my skin. It starts pretty strong leathery smell to me then that dies down a bit after about 10-15. Still strong af but just slightly mellower and not that screaming like before. After about 1.5 hours I do notice other notes coming through, maybe thyme. Still strong af at this point. It does burn my nasal passage a little bit and I'm deciding whether I like it or not. Still smells like leather 4 hours later but the floral notes coming through. This is 100% a try before buy and at $250, I'm still not too sure if I like it yet and still not too sure I don't like it. It's my only leather-type smell even though others I have state leather, none smell like this.

Sweet, translucent, sexy leather. If there is such a thing, Godolphin would be the epitome of the above description. I own both Ombre Leather and Tuscan Leather as well as Godolphin (all full bottles) and i have done several comparions. Ombre Leather, although it resembles Godolphin, has some pretty sharp notes, like a dry hard piece of leather and might not be pleasing for everyone around you. Tuscan Leather is a little too fruity, maybe from the raspberries. Godolphin is what both Tuscan and Ombre should have been - like a piece of freshly cut leather that has been oiled and moisturized. If i had to use metaphors, Ombre Leather would be that neglected black pair of military boots that has cracks in it, while Tuscan Leather is that a pair of Sperry boatshoes in brown. Godolphin on the other hand, would be a pair of tan Church's oxford dress shoes.

I see a lot of hate for this fragrance and i am not sure why, but i have a feeling that it is because this brand is not very loved. Beware this is not a safe blind buy! About this perfume in particular, i personally love it. I like it so much in fact that i bought this to decant 100ml but ended up decanting only half of that, and i kept the rest. It hits you hard in the opening as a strong leather, with a hint of sweetness in the background. This is a pretty linear scent, as it dries down it smells the same as the opening but less "in your face". Performance wise, it lasts 8+hours on my skin and projects pretty well within the first 3-4 hours ('22 batch). I'd say if you find this around 120-130 bucks as i did, go for it. Smell: 8.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 7/10 Price: 8/10 (based on purchase price of 120 euro for 125ml bottle)

Stinky Whisky, The issue with reviews on Fragrantica, or other parfume sites, is that there is no qualification required to submit a review. One can test one's eyes and one's ears but I guess nose tests are rare or simply non existing. How on Earth someone can even think about Moustache, unless it is another one than Rochas, in comparison to Godolphin? And I'm not refering to quality. You might as well compare it to Neroli Portofino. Goldophin has nothing in common with Rochas Moustache. That is a fairly nice for the price Amber fragrance. No more than that. It's Leather vs Amber. Ombre Leather has the leather in common with Godolphin, (not the other way around.) Godolphin is sweeter but not as much as Tuscan Leather. Leather is the fragrance profile I prefer most. Godolphin is my number one Leather fragrance.

Godolphin is a great blend for those who are into leather fragrances. The combination of delicate suede, orris, rose and yellow flesh fruits is so captivating and elegant. it opens airy with cypress, thyme and leather popping up immediately. the opening is really uplifting and breezy, though the core of young, sweet-ish, cedar wood and vanilla tone down the greenish vibe. once settled, the jus is really pleasant with a moderately-strong projection for the first two good hours, prior to reducing its radiating to a more personal bubble. The duration on my skin is 6-7 hours in cool weather. It stays all working day on fabric. A real gem, though expensive. Those in doubt could try Maison Alhambra Galatea. This is insanely close to PDM Godolphin, at one tenth of the price tag. My 2c.

This fragrance is exceptionally well blended, smells quality. Compared to Tuscan Leather, it’s more approachable and versatile. It’s slightly sweeter and fruitier, with a smoother leather note, making it much easier to wear throughout the year... though I’d recommend avoiding it on hot summer days. In terms of performance, it’s on same lvl with the latest batches of Tuscan Leather. The first 3-4 hours offer strong projection, after which it settles closer to the skin but remains detectable for those close to you for another 8-9 hours. For me, this is a solid 9/10. Fans of TL and those who enjoy wearing leather fragrances daily without overwhelming others will undoubtedly appreciate this one. Probably the most well balanced leather fragrance out there.

Shhhhhh!!!!! Stop telling everyone how much of an underrated sleeper this is from the PDM lineup. You and I know it's one of the top 3 leathers on the market but let's keep it between us. Besides, there's already 1,310 Fragrantica voters who voted on it and may own this frag. The last thing we need is another 1,300 people hopping on the smellwagon competing for the last remaining original bottles made in Oman! For me personally, this is my favorite leather fragrance. I've tried Tom Fords, Memos, designers etc...This checks off all the boxes in a leather frag for me. Fruity/animalic/realistic Puma suede shoe-like leather/all weather and 48+ hrs on my skin. 10/10 Masterpiece! But like I said shhhhhhh!

I absolutely love this fragrance. I own both Tuscan Leather and Godolphin, and they are definitely similar. I personally prefer Godolphin slightly over TL, just slightly though. Godolphin is a beautiful leather scent with hints of fruit and green. The opening is gorgeous and, in my opinion, a little more green than sweet at first. But after 5 minutes it turns into a fruity sweet leathery scent. Truly beautiful. The dry down is a wonderful leather, with slight fruity sweetness. I do find Godolphin to be slightly more fruity than TL, so if you prefer less sweet, or stronger leather scents - I would definitely go with TF TL. All in all, this is a beautiful, mature leather scent.

My magnum opus. Only God knows how much I love this fragrance. I usually hate the smell of roses, but this one just blend it so perfectly that made it my absolute favourite. Sophisticated and classy leather scent, better than any other leather fragrances that I have tried. I also picked up this amazing green tea scent, instead of mate (never had mate in my life). This is my definition of a 10/10 fragrance. Sillage: Strong and polarizing (one of my female coworker absolutely despised this) Projection: 1-2 meters for the first 4 hours, intimate afterwards. Longevity: A surprising 12 hours in Malaysia's hot and humid weather.

Do you like rose, saffron and leather giving it one or twice try. Me being an Iranian I love the smell of rose and saffron and since I am also a man I love the leather. It is one the best one it comes to rose/saffron and leather. This one has a good projection, up to 2 meters/7 feet and longevity is more than 12 hours, and this is on my skin. It projects strongly in 2-3 hours but will settle down. So be aware of using it indoors. In my opinion it is a male perfume but women can also using it basically because of rose. Anyway to be sure if you love/like it or not test it a couple of times. Not for wormer days. Expensive.

Almonds + Leather!! Top 5 PDM for me, smells like leather, almonds, and vanilla. I get the Tuscan Leather comparison but I don't agree. Where TL is synthetic and rough Godolphin is smooth and rounded. My favorite leather scent so far in my collection due to its smoothness. I don't get the compliments I feel this deserves but it smells great to me. PDM has a great handle for blending notes and Godolphin is a fine example. This is not the car leather (Tuscan Leather) or jacket leather (Ombre Leather) scent you may be use to. Far more linear, smooth, and nutty. Longevity is good but not great ...9/10 all day long.

People try to get too technical and scientific with fragrances like to be honest stfu, just describe the smell and give your opinion no one got time for paragraphs where half is a boring story. To keep it short to me this is the BEST example of why fragrances are suggestive & just because dummy1 didn’t like it doesn’t mean you wont. This right here is my FAVORITE from PDM, i truly love it over layton, herod & yes specially Carlisle. Floral/fruity leathery perfection. It does smell a tiny bit feminine but i as a man love it. This is can definitely be worn in spring & summer (preferably nights) 10/10

Godolphin is a long-time love of mine. Ombre and Tuscan are amazing too, but this one makes me drool. Leather, frozen raspberries, and luxurious saffron. I literally can’t wear this in public, or I’d be known as that weird guy who constantly smells himself. Seriously, I can’t keep my nose off myself for 30 seconds. It’s that addicting. 😄 This is my MJ ‘Smooth Criminal’ scent. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to like it, but god damn, does it steal the show. I’ve never smelled cocaine, which this gets compared to. But I can say that this is just as addictive.

Marzepan (the gentleman here below) can't tell Tuscan Leather and Godolphin apart. I suggest either not to comment or a nose job. I have all fragrances Mr. Marzepan mentions below. For Godolphin I paid 128 €/ 75 ML For Ombre Leather 95€/50 ML and Ombre Leather Parfum 105 €/50 ML. I find Tuscan Leather too sweet. Almost sickening, unlike Godolphin which tops the list of my favorite leather based fragrances. Which is also my favorite note. At least for the Cooler seasons. Furthermore and I quote: more niche.... That is a gut feeling, not a fact.

Very first time writing a review so please be kind Im still a bit new to fragrances. That being said I love this. Gave this my first wear today, its the first time im trying a leather based scent. The leather and fruit scents are dominant in this one. The fruit is raspberry like and I really love how it goes with the leather. Its definitely worth price but I think that of most Parfums de Marly scents. Maybe I should sample Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather before buying a bottle. If people have other similar alternatives Id love to know.

Nice & smooth & also pleasant to wear. Godolphin has a dark & sweet opening, it transitions into floral mid notes and dries down to a nice vanilla & slightly smoky leather bass. This fragrances works really well with my olfactory senses even though I do not gravitate towards leather fragrances in general. I owned a sample for a while and ultimately decided to pull the trigger on a full bottle. Glad I did. Godolphin is one of the PDMs you can still find bran new at a reasonable price on many platforms.

I never thought that leather scents were my kind of thing, those that I have tested have been not to my taste. Godolphin is another thing all together, I really like it. Raspberry, herbs and saffron on the opening backed up with some light floral notes and a leather/ vanilla base. Very likeable. I can see myself wearing this as a break from the freshies, citruses, blues, gourmands and the spiced numbers. Such a pleasant, interesting and wearable perfume. Another PDM to add to the list

If you enjoy leather forward scents, then you should quite like this. It does remind me of TF Tuscan Leather quite a bit. Off the top there is however this strange green kick coming through that I wouldnt expect from a leather scent. Not the biggest fan of that, though in time it does temper off a bit and round itself out. Eventually Godolphin is sweetened up a bit by some sweeter fruit/floral tones with some creaminess in the vanilla. Very classy, elegant and approachable leather.

Just wow! This is the fragrance that you'd wear at a luxurious casino, or maybe while driving your vintage limited edition car. It does remind me of some cheaper scent, maybe some designer fragrance from the 2000s or even 90s, but I can't pinpoint which one. Nevertheless it's the most elegant PDM that I tried, out of the 14 that I sprayed on my skin. If you want a classy PDM and don't want to go for the overly heavy oriental ones, this is a safe blind buy.

I am a big fan of the House of Parfums de Marly and Godolphin adds to their fantastic lineup. Take a piece for freshly tanned leather. Sprinkle it with saffron, jasmine, amber, vetiver and vanilla. Roll that in the center of a juicy fruit roll-up. That is what I get from Godolphin. A delicious scent! I get great projection and longevity on my skin. While it is unisex, it leads more to the masculine side. If you like leather scents, you should try this one.

This straight away starts with the pleasant Green, Fruity and leather, which transitions into a much darker warm leather fragrance pretty similar to Tuscan leather, without any harsh smokey and ashy notes but much more rounded tobacco note is more prominent in the drydown. Settles with a classy and potent leather tobacco blend making it an equally good option with Tuscan leather.. But reformulation sucks!! Overall 9/10

Lovely perfume. Have had this for years got it in Dubai. It is DELICIOUS. Smells luxurious and expensive on me. There are not many perfumes I can honestly say I love but this is definately one of them. I think these sophisticated high-class perfumes are very difficult to describe whereas the cheap nasty artificial perfumes you get in the discount stores smell like lollies or ice cream–sorbet. THUMBS UP. 5 Lucky Stars

Definitely better than TL. Much more complex and development. It's more intriguing and kind of addictive...don't know why. Wearing two sprays my girls couldn't stop sniffing my neck. The performance is also very good. But TL has more sillage in my opinion. This kind of fruity leather scent is a must in every gentleman collection. If you need to choose only one, just pick Godolphin (but TL is very good also).

In this scent, we can smell the similarities to Tuscan Leather from the beginning. It opens up with uncategorized fruity notes, whether TS has a particular raspberry note. After 15 minutes we get that animalic- bitter leather scent, which is the star of the fragrance from beginning to end. After 3 hours, it dries down to a vetiver scent. Longevity: 6-8 h, sillage- moderate. Rating: 9/10/.

This has to be my next purchase from the PDM house. My first was Herod, which is the fragrance equivalent to "the love of my life", and this needs to be my second. Such a strong, confident, sexy, mature, monster of a fragrance. I smelled this the other week & really wish that I could've got it that day, but Godolphin, you will be mine some day soon. So damn good!

I’ve been wearing a sample of this and it is nearly identical to TF Tuscan Leather. With that said, TF fragrances don’t last very long on my skin but this does, as I get well over 10 hours (and the atomizer on the sample is pretty bad). So with a price point a bit lower than Tuscan Leather, and a similarly wonderful scent, I’ll go with this any day of the week!

Very similar to Tuscan Leather, but I find Godolphin to be sweeter and a little softer smelling than TL. I have both and probably prefer TL a little more, but the price of Godolphin at discounters is significantly better than TL. I would say that Godolphin is inspired by TL and not a straight clone, similar to Montblanc Explorer and Aventus.

Look, you can pick at the fine details but this really is almost identical to TF Tuscan leather. Compared side by side I couldn't tell the difference on skin. I will say the PdM version seems longer lasting than the TF and it's cheaper, so worth considering if you're after this leather note.

Three words. Bad. Ass. Fragrance. Honestly, this is outright beats Ombre Leather. Very similar leather accord to OL but with a fruity twist. Never smelled Tuscan Leather so I can't compare it but without a doubt I don't regret picking up a full bottle of this. Total sleeper from this house.

Totally underrated in my opinion, one of my first PdM purchases which ultimately lead me to love PdM. Feels heavily like TF TL, but it doesnt blow your socks off like TF’s TL, which to me is a good thing. I personally love it. If you like leather frags I’d definitely recommend :)

Addictive scent that grows on you, smells rich. I can see why people compare it with Tuscan leather but Godolphin is less dry, a bit more youthful. Got that leathery DNA but more complexity layered in, think of Tuscan Leather with a fruity scent layered on. Lasts a long time too.

Put Tuscan Leather and Godolphin beside each other I would say Tuscan Leather is a strict leather scent where as Godolphin has a slightly lighter leather scent with a very nice underlying fruity scent with other notes which make it very special especially with that bottle too.

I love it. Smells very similar to Tom Ford Tuscan leather and Ombre leather, but in my opinion it is better blended, stronger and has better price at discounters, so for me it is a no brainer. If you like leather give it a chance and try it out :) Currently my favourite frag.

I love this scent. I love ombre leather and Tuscan Leather as well. If you like leather you will love Godolphin. It's addictive and amazing. I found a good deal on aurafragrance.com and I am so glad I didn't waste anymore time waiting to buy it.

this with latafa kamrah is the BEST layering combo. the leathery undertones are underneath that delicious sweet vanilla of the latafah. it’s definitely an amazing scent on its own but it works even better with other sweet winters fragrances.

A fruity saffron leather, extremely smooth and well blended. Similar to Tuscan leather however it is more fruity and has a cucumber fresh note. I would recommend this for people who loves Tuscan leather but wants a younger, fresher perfume.

Get real folks. Godolphin has nothing to do with overly sweet Tuscan Leather. Yes, it's a leather based fragrance. One of the best there is. But does not have the Diva vibe TL has. And that is a good thing

My best Parfums de Marly so far. Beats Herod, Pegasus, Darley and Nisean. And in the meanwhile beats also Layton. Great leather fragrance. Better than Ombre leather and many other leather based fragrances.

I've recently gotten into leather scents and I can say that this one smells extremely good. Unfortunately, the batch I got lasts only 6 hours on the skin, and it gets really subtle after 4 hours.

90% similar to TF Tuscan Leather, but it veers from that during the dry down and becomes its' own thing. It truly is a well-done leather fragrance, and it is definitely a slept on PDM.
