One of the most complex fragrances to love I’ve come across. I love it now, I loved it when I first smelled it, but it was a love hate in between. I got a sample after smelling it at a store, and when the sample arrived, I immediately loved it on that first wear. And then on subsequent wears my nose picked up a lot more woods and moss and a lot less sweetness and apple. Performance seemed weak, because I was looking for the fresh sweet apple and was just getting the woods and moss. I felt like the scent I loved was not there after a few wears. I decided I didn’t like it enough, but something kept me coming back tot he sample. After more wears, I got to understand the balance of this scent, and to appreciate the way it made me feel. It’s soft, sophisticated and classy to my nose. And as I wore my sample and started to run out, I thought I’d miss it if I ran out. I ended up realizing that despite the changes in expectations of what it was, I now love it for what I know it is. I’ve sampled 65 fragrances, and have just bought 10 out of those. This is one of them, and I love having it. But the road to loving it was unexpectedly complex for what most people deem a simple freshie. It’s not simple for me, and I don’t think I can find something like it other than clones. For me it’s worth it because it makes me feel in a unique way that none of my other bottles or samples do, but I can definitely see why it’s not for everybody.

Amazing scent! Easily the favorite of my collection. Such a sharp fresh apple that just hits you. Performance is amazing, though I feel that is a given with parfums de marly scents. To me this scents dry down has always very closely matched it opening, but that may vary. To tell a story about this fragrance, I was working at my job, not labor intensive or outside much so keep in mind I was mostly stationary, but a guest comes by, I help her out. Afterwords she tells me that she usually does not like the smell of men's cologne, but she just had to tell me that I smelt amazing. She was a older lady, around 65-75 in age. I want to say I was wearing five sprays, 1 to the left, right, and back of my neck, then 1 on both sides of my chest. This was 5 hours into my shift, plus the drive to work. We were separated by a table the entire time. I will say though whenever I have guests over to my house I sometimes have them smell some of my fragrances, and people either say they love it and its amazing or its nasty and I shouldn't wear it. Though honestly this fragrance should never be bought at full price, maybe not even discounter price, it is quite expensive and at some point, no matter how good the fragrance there becomes no justification to buy it at that price, it is just scented alcohol. If you're ok with dupes I would search for that, otherwise a discounter is a must. But ya amazing apple scent that smells electric.

I went to Nordstrom almost two years ago to test this house for the first time. Layton, Carlisle, Harod, Goldolfin etc the more celebrated ones, were just decent to me. While well executed, at the time I felt they lacked that sense of lively natural like quailty that I'd fallen in love with from my favorite house. But when I got to this one...wow! It had the houses dense signature base, but the overall scent itself came off as lighter and fresher and to my nose unique. Immediate love. Four made my to get list that day. This, Haltane, Percival and Sedley. Galloway and Kalan were strong likes as well. Acquired 3 of the 4 and ended up selling them all, using the funds to explore other fragrances. But I regretted letting Greenley go. I knew then I would eventually get another bottle. And I love it even more now. I've since grown more appreciation for PDM offerings as a whole, Herod, Galloway, Kalan and Carlisle have become loves also, but Greenley holds a special place because it was the first one that grabbed me. I personally don't desire for my fragrances to last eternally but I will say that this does lasts a very long time. I smell it for days on clothes. At that stage it's become more subtle yet clearly detectable. I try to replicate that effect by applying less. And it works. Love it!

I've owned Greenley for over a year and I'm writing this review because for the first time ever I am getting a new note and it's coming in strong, and it has given me a newfound appreciation of the scent. I've always known Greenley to be a bright green apple soapy fragrance and I've honestly loved it for that. It was surprisingly refreshing and it was always a favorite. But for the first time ever, maybe because my skin chemistry is different today, the woody notes are coming out strong- and it's making the fragrance itself incredible. I'm still getting the bright apple, but the wood and the musk are truly shining and I don't know what has changed. Currently, it's winter and maybe the weather is doing something to my skin. Maybe the fragrance has evolved. Or maybe it was my nose. All I'm saying is that you should always revisit fragrances after a while because there is always a new note to pick up when you come back to it. It reminds me of the Beatles. I could listen to a song so many times, but all of a sudden Paul's bass line will stand out to me, or a harmony I've never paid attention to, and the song I've always known will hit me with a new appreciation. That is Greenley right now for me. That is all. Loving this one right now.

I smelled this in store once, and to be honest, it didnt really smell like much to me, just a bit lemony and grassy, so I thought to myself, "how the hell is this fragrance THIS popular?". Anyway, forgot about it for a while, then I recently bought a sample with very low expectations, and boy was I wrong. Sprayed onto my skin, and it opens beautifully. I don't really get apple shampoo vibes but it does smell fruity and fresh. Absolutely brilliant for the hot weather. Dries down into a green, woody, almost like the bars of soap you can buy that are literally green, but 100% natural ingredients, and I like it. Got a few compliments the first time I wore it, which was a nice surprise. Only down side is the steep price tag, but hey-ho, nice things are always expensive. Would I buy a 125ml or 200ml? No. But I am seriously considering getting a 75ml for my collection. Honestly even a decant of this would be nice to use in rotation. If this lasted longer it would have been a 10/10 for me, but on my skin at least it becomes a skin scent after about 4-5 hours. Overall rating i would give it a solid 8.5-9/10

I love greenley. It's this invigorating, energetic but smooth fragrance. Batch difference is minimal, while some acute noises report smell differences. In the top, it is really bright but not in a screech way like CDNIM might do, but imagine a clean velvety cloth soaked in apple and citrus juice. Idk if im just a untrained nose but I always loved greenley. Much better than sedley imo. Some people hate the green smell, I think the name is a good description. Longevity on my skin (asian) is not horrible, but just the acidity breaks it down a bit faster. However this does mean strong projection for 1 - 2 hrs before becoming like a musky wood smell. Overall 8/10. This is only the smell and performance. Now, if this was 8 bucks, I would wear it all the time, but part of being part of that luxury, with some truths and faults makes me want to conserve this. It's overpriced. Being honest. FA Aether can do it but with more or less longevity. Now putting money into sight that rating is 7.5/10 which is still good, its just that I was gifted it so I wouldn't feel as much guilt using it.

I remember wearing Greenley by Parfums de Marly to the beach one day and thinking it was the perfect setting for it. The bright, fresh character works beautifully on a hot day, especially when mixed with the salty air from the ocean. What impressed me most was the performance. Even after spending a couple of hours in the water, I could still smell the fragrance on my skin, which was pretty remarkable. That said, after owning it for a while I realized the scent felt quite linear on me. While it’s undeniably fresh and pleasant, the fragrance doesn’t evolve much throughout the wear. Over time that simplicity started to feel repetitive, and I found myself reaching for it less and less. Because of that, I eventually sold my bottle. It’s still a very enjoyable summer fragrance and clearly performs well, but in the end it didn’t quite align with what I look for in my collection. Scent: 7.5/10 | Longevity: 8.5/10 | Projection: 7.5/10 | Overall: 7/10

This is an absolutely amazing fragrance. I have some beautiful memories attached to it, which makes me love it even more. It’s easily my favourite in my collection, and I genuinely love the way it smells. That said, a big issue for me is the price. At retail, it’s honestly a bit of a joke. I managed to get mine for a really good deal, so I didn’t mind as much, but I wouldn’t feel great paying full price for something that could likely be produced for a fraction of the cost. If you do enjoy this fragrance, I’d recommend looking into some dupes, as there are some very good ones on the market. It’s not the most complex scent profile, so alternatives do a solid job. Other than that, it’s a seriously great fragrance, and I’d definitely recommend it.

I love this stuff, I'm debating putting it in my top 10. I've owned Aether Extrait and I dont think its redundant to own Greenley. Its close, but it lacks a lot of cedar, a bit sharper, and its thicker since its an extrait. Lasts like 4 hours less as well. This is syrupy green apple, cedar, and oakmoss. Its relatively simplistic but its simplicity done masterfully. The oakmoss and cedar get heavier in the drydown but its still very much a summer fragrance. Performance is great for a summery fragrance, about 8 hours. Projection is also good. This is one of the better summer fragrances I've smelled and its very much full bottle worthy. Aether extrait is a good alternative but if you like the og as much as I do, no clone will do. 9/10

So i'm really not a big fan in first couple of days. I tested the old batch the green apple was more juciy the newer bathes are toned down with apple a bit i think or maybe apple note was stronger on tester. Opening is a bit too grassy for me but when the green apple kicks in it's such a beautiful scent. All the apple and tope notes doesn't feel like it worth it but the dry down of musky, woody smell sitting on ur smell is really nice. And that's where u can feel the quality of it otherwise it's just smell like apple shampoo for sure

This is one of the best fresh fragrances in my opinion. Although it may not have a lot complexity like people say, it is still a very addicting fragragrance. And despite being a freshie it is very long lasting. If your looking for complexity maybe look more into Creed Aventus Absolu. Still very natural smelling, long lasting, unique, and signature scent worthy. May have expensive price point, but if you know where to get it and have good timing, you can get it at a very good price. Overall, really recommend it.

Opening is fruity-citrusy-Flintstone's Vitamins-y....the Apple comes through clearly, and their is a somewhat dry/powdery sweetness to it. It starts to calm down pretty quickly, and a fresh fruity Citrus-ness with some wood comes out... the other notes are still there, but they are close to the skin. 20 minutes in, this one is literally giving me shivers. This one is a masterpiece, and a strong Buy. It is better in the air than close to the skin, but I need this one.

First niche I got. One of my favorite summer scents I have ever tried. Starts off fresh, with a crisp green apple, citrus, and with a musky, woody and mossy in the background. Love the smell, just smells like nature, so cool. Sometimes I spray this and all I smell is green apple, sometimes it's overwhelmingly citrus forward, sometimes the woods and moss are super prominent, sometimes it just smells like freshly cut grass. Depends on the mood of my nose I guess.

To me this smells like the freshest green apple in an evergreen forest. Woody with some citrus notes, slightly sweet and slightly minty. For me it projects for the first 1,5-2 hours and stays on my skin for 9+. It is my favorite summer fragrance right now! Definitely not everyone's cup of tea tho, I'd recommend you try it first before buying.

This fragrance is incredible. It has a perfect balance between freshness and muskiness. It smells like green apple, lemon, and an overall outdoorsy redolence with some woodiness. It projects well and lasts a good amount of time, around 4 hours in the air and 8-10 hours on skin. Parfums de Marly Greenley is the perfect green freshie. 10/10

Simple construction, classy everyday scent. Nothing bombastic and nothing challenging, straightforward freshie. A blind reach during summer and spring. I like niche scents, but sometimes need to appreciate the simple stuff as well, especially if they are executed well. Overpriced for what we get, the again we can always choose not to buy

Linear woody and citrusy frag that lasts long and projects well. its such a shame how popular pdm has gotten over the years. these reviews are just stupid, people are somehow smelling pine trees and grass?? greenley has reached the majority who have awful noses. there is nothing to dislike about this frag. 10/10

Smells just like a green apple shower gel, but it makes it extremely fresh smelling. You walk in to a room and it just lifts the room up with its sweet yet masculine mossy notes. Got compliments with this, easy fresh masculine smell. Becomes skin scent for me after 3hrs, damn good skin scent though.

This is amazing. Definitely in my top 3 fragrances for the heat. I have zero idea where people are getting grass. This smells very fresh, uplifting, and good. Grass??? bruh. Green apple freshness with some earthyness that just gives it some masculine umph. Women absolutely love this for some reason.

Luxurious shower gel vibe with a wonderful drydown. Very fresh and likeable green apple, super easy to wear and feel great. It's not trying to be anything complicated, it just works. When it dries down it becomes a smooth woody musky scent. I'd say blind buy safe unless you hate safe scents.

Man o man, what a freshie. I myself love the apple note in a lot of scents, but this green apple is just a banger. Very good summer scents, decent performance. Has nice projection for the first 3 hours and then goes to skin scent. Overall 8,5/10

I have no idea why Sedley is talked about more than this. This is unique apple with a powdery and woody base that is simply gorgeous. More unique and better than Sedley in my opinion. This one and Percival are my two favorite freshies from PDM

It is very versatile and natural which i like. Also smells like a luxurious apple soap/shampoo. I really like this fragrance because it lasts 12 hours on my skin. The best fresh parfums de marly so it is much better than sedley and castley.

Very nice and sweet green apple fragrance sort of fresh like layton, now this is sweet dont get me wrong but not like a childish sweet. Very nice for the warmer days. 8/10 AGAIN THOUGH like all of PDM's fragrances its a bit pricey.

I really like this, but I also find it somewhat confusing. In one way it's a fresh, green and sour apple, but on the other hand something about it makes my brain associate it with BR540, which it clearly doesn't smell of :D

My favourite fresh PdM at the time. Smells distinctly old school and masculine. I guess to some it might smell boring but to me it smells clean and confident. It wouldn't be out of place in the Creed lineup in my opinion.

I had to smell this a few times to indulge the amazing scent that this is. As soon as I put it on my skin I could fully appreciate the fresh, sweet masculine scent that this is. I can’t get enough of this and Sedley!

Yumm! I love this bright apple scent! No vanilla, not sweet, more like an aromatic green apple with the only sweetness that a pink lady apple has. Definitely refreshing and great layer with Light Blue.

A very effervescent opening with a lot of lemon and apple - very appealing if ever so slightly herbal. In the dry down it is a very comforting scent. I really am enjoying this. Summer scent only.

When I wear Greenly, I am transported to a jungle of beautiful scents. I feel as though I may live in said jungle for years on end. Would I like to leave this jungle of love? not just yet. 9/10.

a lovely traditionally clean fragrance. the apple and cedar notes mix very well for me and the scent lasts longer than i expected. just not worth the hype or the $300 price tag for a 3.4 oz.

Very refreshing. I get green apple skin and fresh cut grass. I feel like there's also a hint of something cooling like a slight touch of pine or menthol. My wife loves it.

Greenley is such an easy wear in warm weather. Hate to state the obvious, but for its ultimate benefits the only requirement is showering first. 🥰

Best fragrance of all time. Smells like the outdoors. Performance is mid but you can’t expect much from a freshie.

Sophisticated and classy, fresh and then the wood and classy oak moss comes out in the dry down
