Haltane

Greed as inspiration. The Sprecher Group, owner of Initio Parfums Privés, decided to double the sales of its most successful fragrance, Oud For Greatness, by simply cloning it... for good measure they did a couple of inconsequential tweaks, changed the name, changed the bottle, and started selling it on their other brand, Parfums de Marly... I know that the same can be said for most flankers... but at least flankers are honest about what they’re trying to do, which is sell “almost” the same product again and again, whilst here, they’re trying to hide the fact by changing everything but the scent. And yes, Haltane is a great perfume, of course it is... but that’s not the real question... the real question is, are both Oud For Greatness and Haltane different enough to merit having the two? And the answer is... sadly NO!! And I say “sadly”, because the differences between the two could’ve been more noticeable (and more lasting), that simple situation would have rendered both iterations needed on their own rights, regrettably, the Sprecher Group took the easiest and safest route by just copying the recipe, adding a few inconsequential tweaks, and selling it under a new name and company, as if they never knew of the half brother’s existence. By the way, the inconsequential tweaks in Haltane (in comparison with OFG) are... slightly diminished sweetness, ever so slightly stronger leather, and a herbal undertone. The opening is where such variations will be more noticeable, mainly the fresh herbal aura, which is truly very likable, unfortunately, it will be completely lost in just a couple of hours, hence the inconsequential part. After those few hours, absolutely no one will be able to tell the difference between Oud for Greatness and Haltane, making the latter an unnecessary addition to any perfume wardrobe. Now, speaking solely about Haltane... it is foremost a soft Agarwood fragrance, with a slightly sweet Praline accord, lovely aromatics from the Lavender and Clary Sage, a clean leathery bottom and a creamy aura. I also smell some delicious sweet musk in the juice, however, the note breakdown doesn’t mention having any... even so, I do believe the stuff is there. It is a completely unisex parfum, any women who chooses to wear this perfume will smell amazing. Preferably a cold or mild weather fragrance, and better suited for a special occasion. Finally, we get to performance... which incidentally is also the biggest difference with its cloned half brother... projection in Haltane is on the lower side of moderate for two hours and then it becomes intimate, with longevity of about 6 hours... putting things into perspective, this is just about half of OFG’s performance. In conclusion, if the differences are truly inconsequential and the performance is not that great, then why would we want to buy Haltane??? Maybe someone from the Sprecher Group’s financial team might be better prepared to explain the reasons...

He's a real character, that Ry. But you know, Ryan and I have a little inside joke. Whenever I wear Haltane, he texts me "Hey Denz, is it hot in here or is it just your scent?" It's a little corny, but it always makes me chuckle. I have to admit, Ry's texts can get a little bit excessive at times. Sometimes he'll text me in the middle of the night just to ask if I'm wearing Haltane. And if I don't respond quickly enough, he'll send me a barrage of messages until I answer him. But I don't blame him, I mean, who wouldn't want to smell as good as I do? Parfums de Marly Haltane Eau de Parfum is the perfect blend of boldness and sophistication, perfect for those who want to stand out in a crowd. So why not give it a try and see where it takes you? It is absurd to me that this is the same house which also produced Percival. I am a fragrance novice and recently acquired a PdM sampler set - I wanted to branch out from scents which had been gifted to me in the past such as Acqua di Gio EDT and L'eau Dissey pour homme. Both nice, clean fragrances, but I was curious to experience more. I have been wearing Haltane for about a week now and I adore it. It is sweet, woody, and regal. My intent was to find a scent neither smelled like a teenager (Percival) nor a grandpa, but something in between. Haltane accomplishes that for me. The oud note is splendid. It is unequivocally there, but it is not suffocating either. I have a decant of Gissah's Imperial Valley and my girlfriend described it as noxious, eye-burning, and nauseating. She loves Haltane on me. Obviously, Gissah and PdM are two wildly different houses, but I want to point out that this is an oud scent that you can wear not at the expense of others. There is a sweetness too, which I am finding to be a common theme throughout PdM's fragrances, but it is not cloying. I really enjoy Haltane. If you are looking for an oud fragrance that will not suffocate everyone around you, I recommend you sample Haltane.

Bergamot shines in the opening together with lavender and a woody base, not old mature wood but fresh foresty wood. I can see why people compare it to Oud for Greatness, though I do believe Oud for Greatness amps up the oud factor, creating a darker scent. On the contrary Haltane is clearer and cleaner. The dry down reveals the delicate spiciness of the cedar and saffron. What was foresty in the opening is now a familiar, comforting, antique. The dry down is incredibly mature. This perfume is subtle and projects far but not strongly. I reckon this would absolutely enhance a dressed up middle to senior aged gentleman and leave a positive impression. I see this as being more appropriate for special occasions, casual nights out, cocktail bars, museum parties, art galleries. It smells expensive and sophisticated and doesn't try to overwhelm or intimidate you with the oud. It's purely there to enhance the already prevalent citrus, and lavender notes at the forefront. I don't particularly get any praline on my skin, there's no distinct chocolatiness or outspoken sweetness aside from the subtle sweetness of the wood and lavender that I can pick up, but I don't miss it in any case.

Preface: I am not well versed in perfumery and the olfactory experiences like a lot of the others here, this is purely an opinion from an average man who is slightly more informed than average about fragrances and perfumes. Hopefully my reviews might relate more to the average audience. Haltane is sweet, warm, and luxurious, in the best sense. I think it is underrated compared to the Layton, Carlisle, Althaïr, and the freshie lines of PDM. I heard oud notes are controversial but I think even if you don't like the overwhelming smell of oud, this is worth a tester or a sample. For me, it is so good, it is the first fragrance that I impulse buy just from trying the sample. Longevity is above average with a moderate to strong sillage, even with a single spray to the inside of my elbow. Haltane is one of those fragrances that just live in my head rent free, and can't help smelling once in a while. Each hit of those dry downs on my nose is a pleasant surprise on how long it lasts. People say that is modeled after similar scents, but in its defense, none of them is exactly the same on the blend and experience, and I think it's what gives Haltane its uniqueness.

Absolute masterclass of a fragrance. This is my signature scent for many good reasons, There is absolutely nothing in the world i would change about this fragrance. When you smell this it’s versatile, masculine, creamy, luxurious, what else can you ask for? Smell: opens up with some dry and aromatic spices, throughout the wear those aromatic notes stay the same while the spicy notes disappear. A creamy praline accord emerges in the dry down of the fragrance, This praline accord reveals a hint of vanilla, but don’t get it twisted this fragrance is still masculine and aromatic just introducing some more notes. The oud in this fragrance is detectable but not offensive or stinky at all. I’ve seen people compare this to oud for greatness, this fragrance is not as near screechy or “dry” as oud for greatness. Preformance: The longevity will last you a good 8 hours on clothes and sticks to your skin real well. The projection on this fragrance is moderate to high meaning that you can safely wear and not offend or choke people out. Final thoughts: 10/10 Fragrance I would recommend giving this one a try. Great for cold but perfectly fine for hot summer. The longevity is retarded, in a good way. Today I used it before work (7 AM), now it's 9 PM and it's still going. The scent has the quality of sitting in an executive office, a rich leather chair, sipping delicious Earl Grey while eating a side of luxurious chocolates. Making difficult strategic decisions, but savoring the moment in comfort, enveloped in a thick aura of confidence. Charming, mature, luxurious, smooth, but strong. I didn't like it at first and now it's one of my most used fragrances. Acquired taste but very pleasant and an easy signature if it matches your wave length. Can't see a teenager pulling this off but it won't make you seem old. It's just like a leather jacket, looks really weird and LARPy on a kid, but cool on an adult guy with some swag. You need to have a certain swag to pull it off though. It won't grant it to you. 10/10, worth getting the 200 ml version, but test first.

PDM’s description sums up Haltane perfectly “soft and rich accords of saffron and praline represent an ultra-modern spin on the theme of oud wood.” This performs very well on my skin; even better than Habdan or Layton Exclusif. To my nose the opening to the mid is not a smooth transition, however, after wearing a couple times that is actually welcomed. You then know what’s to come, and that’s magic through the mid into the dry down. For some of us we fall in love with a particular fragrance house. Those people are not overly concerned with similarities from other brands; they’re nothing more than a reference. What PDM does very well is listen to their fans. They use that feedback to create beautiful fragrances. I think that should be praised. This scent profile was missing from their lineup. The wait is now over. For all of these reasons Haltane deserves a higher score.

Parfums de Marly Haltane - шикарный мужской аромат на прохладное время года! Бергамот, лаванда, немного медицинских бинтов, которые даёт шалфей, почти сразу на старте сладость пралине, и достаточно быстро добавляется дерево (умеренный европеизированный уд) и хвоя (кедр). Чувствуется так, как будто бы просмоленную кедровую шишку обмотали медицинским бинтом и сверху натерли шоколадной помадкой - или, как будто бы ты в дремучем лесу, в котором на деревьях растут конфеты. Аромат плотный, комплиментарный. Шлейф ощутимый - на расстоянии вытянутой руки и далее, особенно если делать более 2х пшиков - но не делайте более 3-4 пшиков (!) - можете задушить и себя, и окружающих. Стойкость хорошая - 5-7 часов на коже - на одежде гораздо дольше. Перед покупкой обязательно затестить - зайдёт не всем из-за немного "медицинского" запаха шалфея и лаванды. Моя личная оценка - 8.5 из 10.

This is one of those fragrances that instantly reminds me how good it smells the moment I apply it, bringing an instant smile to my face. It’s a fresh, clean, yet sophisticated scent that lasts all day. I remember bringing home several test strips from Bloomingdale’s after sampling a few fragrances. I usually avoid spraying them on my skin if I’m already wearing something else, so the strips were all I had to judge from. I took home Layton, Herod, Althaïr, and Haltane on separate strips. After a day of sitting on a dresser, I revisited them to see how they’d dried down (fragrances tend to dry down/evolve slowly on test strips). Upon smelling it, the Haltane strip made me do a double take. It stood out from the rest, which all had some kind of vanilla note. Haltane still smelled rich and unique. Honestly, I don’t have much more to say except that I truly love it.

Bought a sample from Nishane and I just loved it, the performance was great, projection was amazing, it stayed on clothes for weeks....so I bought a 125ml bottle and something just felt off, it felt more thin, watered down, the praline note was less noticeable, projected for 1h and then became a skin scent. If I spray it on clothes its barely noticeable after 24h. Bottle is not fake I know that 100%. I know that PDM changed the packaging details a little and I have the "newest" one. I don't know if they reformulated or just watered it down but im disappointed. Like I said the sample was amazing but my 125ml bottle is a big disappointment. Edit: Okey I did little research and I see that ppl, including myself, with 125ml bottles and bottom box that says year 2023 have issues with longevity, best way to describe is watered-down.

I won’t rave about the scent, there are plenty of other reviews here that cover it. It’s a great scent. What I want to address is the sheer PERFORMANCE this cologne has. You will be noticed. You will leave a scent trail after walking down a hall, and that scent trail you left in the hallway will last longer than some colognes will on your clothes. This thing is eternal. Beyond eternal. It is the most potent scent I have ever owned. Not only does it stay on clothes after a wash cycle, but it INFECTS the clothes you wash it with. You will find trace amounts of this scent on other clothes you washed with the shirt you sprayed. Get a small sample on Scentsplit or Microperfumes and see if you like it. If you do? Lock it in, because this thing will perform for you.

This is my favorite fragrance in my collection so far. Every time I wear it, I feel like I’m wearing something special. It smells expensive, elegant, and different from most fragrances people wear today. The performance on my skin is amazing, and I always enjoy catching little whiffs of it throughout the day. I love Haltane!!! It was the first PDM fragrance that I tried, and I instantly fell in love with it. That praline accord top note always makes me smile, and the oud dry down is indescribable. I haven't bought a bottle yet, but I have a couple samples and I've tried Haltane at the fancy mall in Michigan at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Ave. I just got into this hobby a little over a year ago. A lot of really wild reviews on here that tell me people review based on test strip sniffs. This opens with bergamot & citrus balanced by saffron / praline and woody/oud undertones. Through the drydown, the sweetness from the saffron and praline settles nicely into the woods, and the citrus completely tucks in the background. I'd agree with FernandoB generally speaking. This is a fragrance for men with class, age 35+ for those confident in themselves to have a 'manly, just stepped out the woods' scent with a sex appeal twist on it with the saffron/praline. IMO I would consider this more of unique professional scent, fall signature special occasion scent, etc. Give this one a full wear to see what it is truly about.

I love love love Haltane. Beating a dead horse here, but it is an extremely presentable and wearable oud fragrance for a mature man. The praline is divine. There is nothing else that smells like Haltane nor replicates it well. It is amazingly one of a kind and an incredible scent that you need to try if you enjoy masculine, luxurious scents. $360 dollars for 75 ml is an incredibly tough pill to swallow, but I suppose the type that would wear this wouldn't bat an eye. Performance is great, lasts around 8+ hours on my skin. Projection and sillage are both excellent but not overpowering. It leaves an impression on the people around you with no more than 4 sprays. I adore this fragrance and need a full bottle.

Haltane Unlike dark oud, medicinal, or heavy hitting ouds, Haltane is blended with a prominent praline and herbal opening that softens the composition. It feels smooth, polished, cozy, and refined rather than challenging. Haltane is very definitely versatile enough that many people pull it off year-round. That fresh, herbal opening of clary sage and lavender keeps it from feeling cloying even when the weather warms up. Haltane is not as similar to OFG as everyone says. In fact, these are two very different perfumes because Haltane is very airy, cozy, and smooth, compared to OFG, which is much heavier and darker. Haltane is a wonderful oud fragrance. The opening is quite bright from the bergamot/clary sage combination but quickly mellows into a spicy oud. The oud in Haltane never smells animalic/barnyard or cheesy. It lends a wonderfully spicy and woody note, almost like a wet log or an old library. Sweetness from the praline is a beautiful touch and is a perfect contrast to the way the saffron and oud play off each other. I think Haltane is super unique and would make for a perfect signature scent for cooler weather. I'd love to pick up a bottle of this. Maybe its just me but I think this is what the masculine version of Khamrah by Lattafa would smell like.

Haltane is true fragrance royalty. A fragrance that's fit for a king. It's said to be "inspired by the elegant lifestyle of the guests of the Château de Marly" and I can totally see that. It has a very aromatic, slightly smoky, slightly leathery opening with a very soft oud note that never shouts but lingers with elegance. It's a fragrance that will get you noticed in a crowd, not for smelling the loudest, but for smelling the best. Towards the dry down, you get the sweet, creamy nuttiness of the praline note, and it's a fragrance that develops beautifully from start to finish.

Absolutely gorgeous. Haltane smells like memories. The wood is so realistic and earthy - it brings you straight back to when fresh woodchips got delivered at the playground or your dad cut down your first Christmas tree. The fresh woodiness is perfectly balanced out with a sweet base and some aromatics that add complexity and coziness. Haltane is the pinnacle of woody fragrances. You can smell every note as if it is freshly harvested right in front of you. If Burberry Hero or Sauvage are an mp3 on phone speakers, Haltane is a symphony at the opera house. 10/10.

The declared accords on the brand's Website are: top notes: Bergamot; Lavender and Clary Sage. Middle notes: Saffron; Cedarwood; Praline and Oudwood. Base notes: Patchouli; Vetiver; Musk; Leather and Real Agarwood. The nose behind Haltane is Jordi Fernández. It's a well-blended and smooth combination of Fougere, Oriental and Woody accords. It has very good performance, but it's neither a heavy-hitter nor a sweetness bomb, so it's versatile and easy to wear. Is it original?. Not really, since it bears some resemblance to OFG. Is it appealing?. Absolutely.

This I wear for myself (rather than other people). Feels like you've just walked out of the forrest. I really like that this because it is STRONG and DEEP which for a niche fragrance at this price point is about right. Starts off very herbaceous (saffron/rosemary/sage), becomes increasingly sweet over time (Praline is a good description). Clothes / jacket smells really good the next day too. Sometimes compared to the smell of old wood furniture.... and that is probably fair. Certainly for older gents - sort of thing that a CEO would wear.

Hear me out! It took me one wear to fall in love with the one! It’s a very wearable Oud thanks to its blending with Praline. For those of you scared to wear Oud, yes it is very prominent, but in such a good way. My girlfriend loved it and a couple friends at a bar also did if compliments are important to you. There is something just gorgeous about this one that remains opening to dry down! Leans more masculine and not as versatile! You need to be dressed up nice or casual nice at least. Preferably in cold weather or at least not hot.

Generally more wearable and likeable than OFG. Dna still more slightly more matured/experienced noses. Newer versions are half day performance and need a respray second half of the day, on skin. On clothes lasts way much longer. Still quite some difference vs OFG Neo, which Initio tried to take a % of the pie market from the hugely popular Haltane by coming up with OFG Neo. Many alternatives brands tried to emulate it, from armaf to Afnan, not bad alternatives but Haltane still has the better quality and smell to it. Still a keeper.

This was an early purchase in my ventures into niche fragrances. It’s not where someone should begin that journey. At first it was too much; it was difficult to wear. Now, being more of a seasoned fragrance wearer, it’s AWESOME. The combination of the oud and sweetness from the praline and spiciness of the saffron is perfect. It’s definitely the best oud based fragrance that I have ever smelled. The initial spray can be just a little off putting, but give it a minute and it turns magical. It’s a great option for a confident man.

Initio is a sister company to Parfums de Marley, oud for greatness is very similar to haltane but it’s a lot more potent. For what I want to achieve with this fragrance I perfer haltane as it is a little bit more subtle and a bit more refined. As far as haltane as a fragrance I think it’s a very easy to wear beginner oud fragrance that will open doors to more polarizing oud blends. It’s very sweet and woody and it’s one of my favorites from the house along side carlisle. I give haltane a 9.5/10

Bought this couple months prior and it quickly became my favorite. Citrus and green into woody that is perfect on my skin, finally! Get about four to five then skin scent through rest of my day. II smell this next morning on my clothes. A perfect scent for me and now my signature. I’ve even received compliments which I rarely get. The younger crowd would not appreciate this . A mature and sophisticated fragrance for sure. I have to see how it will do in the Florida summer though 10/10

Finally got a decant of this and it's very nice. Oud forward with a touch of sweetness from the praline and some resonating spicy notes from the saffron and sage. It's a pretty strong projector, with only one spray on my hand from my tiny vial I'm getting strong whiffs of it. Call me crazy, but I think this is what the masculine version of Lattafa Khamrah would smell like. Must be the combination of the spices and that praline note with the strong oud to make it more masculine.

Haltane is one of the best fragrances created by PDM. It is warm and spicy with moderate/strong silage and long/moderate longevity. It leans male can be worn in any season but some might find it a bit too strong for summer. I think the comparisons to OFG are overstated. Haltane is sweeter; it has a. distinct praline note which isn’t a part of OFG. I feel confident wearing this one because it is far better than most fragrances currently on the market. Well worth a sample.

One of my most grabbed fragrances. It's got a very woody note to it that I've had people describe as old furniture (not in a bad way) and a great sweet undertone as well that makes you want to keep smelling it. And you do keep smelling it, because it last for quite a while with nice projection that you can keep catching drifts of as the wind blows. I could see myself wearing this in most settings, except I imagine it may become overpowering in weather over 80 degrees.

This is a clean woody masculine leaning scent that gets compliments. It smells similar to OFG, but it is cleaner and more relaxed. The praline note really balances and supports the spices and woods that are in the forefront. I was considering OFG for a long time, but the more I wore it the more obnoxious it smelled to me. This fragrance doesn't try as hard and is more wearable in my opinion. This smells refined, masculine, and mature without smelling old fashioned.

I'm in love with this. Blind Bought a 75ML and holy moly can't stop smelling it. Will continue to buy this as long as they make it. 10/10 projection and longevity. I wear this to shop, going to the bar, hanging with friends, date night, it's in my top 3 probably of all time. I'm sure it's not for everyone but it's a great starter OUD. Not stinky, and the praline really shines in this. This is like an all black fit with gold chain and hair slicked back type of vibe.

It may just be a me thing because I generally like my oud scents a lot But even so this is a very inoffensive lighter, sweeter aromatic oud. That’s not too “in your face” It’s got this perfect balance of sweetness, refinement and oud. Very mature masculine scent which is why I gifted it for my dad. But every time he uses a few sprays, I can smell it from the next room. It also lasts decently long, around 8hrs. Very underrated pdm but not blind buy safe. 9/10

Haltane, Oud for Greatness's older and kinder brother. If you took Oud for Greatness, took away the stink of its oud and toned it down with some sweet and subtle praline, then you have what Haltane is. I still have a sample brewing somewhere in my drawer at home, and although it's a somewhat shitty sprayer, when I do get it to spray I am encompassed within its smell and its great sillage on my skin. I will be snatching up a bottle of this when I'm able.

Initially, this fragrance seemed a bit harsh and cheap, and I wondered why it was so popular, but the dry down quickly made it clear. As it settles, you start to get the oud and woodiness, which is absolutely incredible. This is a perfect fragrance for the colder months because it gives off such a cozy vibe. The only thorn in the side of this fragrance is the hefty price tag. Better to wait until a discounter will part with it for below retail.

On first spray you get a nice warm oudy character surrounded by the fresh florals and cedar. People say it reminds them of O4G, and I can see it for the first hour or 2. It's got a fairly strong sillage for the first 2-3 hours, but after that you need to be fairly close. However, I absolutely love the way it morphs from warm and oudy, to allowing the fresh cedar and floral to takeover on the dry down.

Haltane is beautiful fragrance especially if worn in cold weather. But since I live in hot&humid place Initio’s OFG is my go to fragrance. The thing that I find with Haltane don’t spray over than 2 as it’s smell is enormous and can get me headache. So I usually spray two and later I spray more to avoid being overwhelmed. I love both Haltane and OFG they both smell gorgeous and a compliment getter

If you want something you can put on in the morning and go out that night and still smell good this is it. On me i could still smell it on a test spray on back of my hand 2 days later just but day and half was still quite strong. Love my oud fragrances these days and do find this a more strong simple one. Which is perfectly fine. Did not sense much of the sweetness on me and was very masculine

When I smelt this for the first time i weren't as keen, the oud hit me straight in the face. second time round kept smelling and diving deeper into the scent. put it on a tester and let it dry and wow, this is one of my top 3 scents. its literally royalty in a bottle, just smells VIP. its intense, sweet, well blended with a slight harsh but pleasing side to it. dry down is next level.

PDM is such an amazing house. Like, I already had Layton, Pegasus Exclusiff, Carlisle, Herod, Sedley, Greenley and Castley... and then I smelled this one... Holy, it is amazing. It is probably on my top 2 PDM Fragrances (only below Carlisle) and top 10 overall. It has a somewhat stinky opening with the oud, but after 5 minutes it becomes pure magic. Super masculine too

The Oud in this is very palatable, starts of with a burst of the praline (sweet nutty) but the sweetness quickly take a backseat and it turns to an aromatic woody masterpiece. Something in here reminds me of Layton. Very mature and elegant. Only downside for me is it doesn’t last that long on my skin (roughly 5 hours) but really nothing seems to.

Its amazing. If I ever buy a PdM, it will either be this or Carlisle. Great for the cold. Strong performance and the lavender, saffron, and oud are the stars. Just the right amount of sweetness. I don't find it funky. To me, it would be easy to wear among crowds as long as you don't over do it. Could certainly be a signature scent.

In my opinion, this is the best of all of the colder weather PDMs. Better than Carlisle or Herod. Fantastic very wearable oud based scent. A little weaker projection than I prefer, but still really enjoyed the entire profile from the fresher opening to the very woody dry down with just a hint of praline. Top notch.

Haltane is a very masculine woody fragrance. Smoky oud that is likable and appropriate for cooler weather or air conditioned environment. It's very long lasting and performs really well. Those who love masculine woody smoky fragrance will adore this beautiful luxurious bold perfume. Such a statement maker.

An oud fragrance that’s also a tad sweet and totes the line really imo really an easy to wear classy men’s scent that can be dressed up or down. Longevity is outstanding, sillage not beast mode after 4 hours but you can smell it on skin for 8 hours plus. 9/10 my favorite PDM.

Really grew on me over time. I absolutely don't get praline from it however, and hardly any oud. This smells like a very camphorous fougère, like pine needles. I really like it and I could see myself wearing it in an office situation or even at the gym with moderate sprays.

Have gotten great compliments on this! Maybe a very weird comparison, but somehow reminds me a bit of Axe Dark Temptation if it went from being a teenage boy to a successful mature man. Super classy and satisfying, perfect for colder days. Smells like a sophisticated man.

Some of the best oud I have ever smelt. And I mean it. Amazing green and woody scent, lasts forever and is blended to perfection. Projects like a beast too. I cannot explain how good this is, one of, if not the most slept on fragrance from Parfums De Marly. 9.6/10

Deep, rich, polished, and just sweet enough. Similar profile to Oud for Greatness, but this one felt softer and a little smoother. I love these “western oud” synthetics that lean cleaner but maintain the rich woodiness. Didn’t last as long as OfG on my skin
