Ispazon

Another hidden gem and super underrated from PDM, open with mild citruses that last through the mid, with predominant notes of cedar, vanilla, and amber in the dry down. The Bay leaves and thymes are fresh and not herbal, they smell divine and delicate, playing the supporting role to keep everything balanced. This is a very well blended juice, absolutely stunning! Nothing synthetic or offensive here. On my skin i get about 2hr of projection in arm length sillage, and 6 to 7hr of longevity, not as beastly or as loud as other PDM heavy hitter, but it's decent compared to other freshy. Ispazon smells similar to Galloway in the opening, but without the powdery Iris, both of them are very classy and elegant. Between Galloway and Ispazon I think I like this one more, it has more depth and a bit more complex, slightly greener, fresher, and more uplifting. Though the Galloway has better longevity. Ispazon has a similar vibe as the Percival since they are all in the same genre. I would wear the Ispazon in Spring, Summer, and Fall. I'm very glad to have this in my PDM collecton, Blind bought this one from a reputable seller on ebay for $120, absolutely worth every penny! I have Light Blue Eau Intense from C&G and there's absolutely no comparison whatsoever in the quality of the scent, Ispazon completely annihilates the Light Blue Intense, it's like comparing fillet mignon to roadkill.

AMAZING SMELL - so in love with it! Now, I've said it I guess it'll have to be damn interesting for something to beat it! I purchased it based on reviews and the pyramid here. I like Bay Leaves and I know how good PDM is. It BLEW ME AWAY. The note description mislead me and it was not what I surmised it would smell like but that turns out to be just fine - thank heaven! A SIMPLE analogy of it would be as a quick whiff to me Apricot, Dessert Wine, syrup and some smoky spice wood. Or Apricot, Creme Brûlée and spicy wood. Even a quick burst of caramel on a cursory whiff. Technically I pick up the bay leaves and cedar with a sweet citrus though everything else is mixed in with the citrus it seems to blend away and it really comes across as fruit like syrupy apricot soaked in brandy with bay leaves and cloves. I find it one the most linear in my experience though towards the end the cedar becomes ore prominent It was worth every scent and is only second to PDM Byerley for strength and longevity. In Summary: * Unique - I struggle for a comparison * Exceptional silage and longevity * I think relatively safe blind buy unless you dislike sweet fruits (though there is a spicy kick just at the end) Thank you PDM for such a breath of fresh air.

I have been into fragrances for the past 20 years. Started with the designers ones back in 90's. For the past 7 years I have had the pleasure of trying and owning many niche fragrances incl. Houses like Creed, Amouage, Tom Ford, Private lines of several Designers etc. I do agree this one is a hidden gem as someone mentioned before. The opening may feel a bit too harsh and sharp but shortly after that it starts marching towards its amazing dry down. The dry down is at least to my nose extremely pleasant, sophisticated and masculine. When I first sprayed it and let it reach its dry down I thought this would be something that possibly receives a lot of compliments from women. I was totally right about that as I went to a gathering a few days later and 2 women asked me what I am wearing that night. That rarely happens. The only time I remember receiving multiple compliments on my fragrance on the same day was with Creed Aventus. I am actually glad this has sort of gone under the radar as it makes it more unique knowing how popular are other releases from the house incl. Layton, Herod, Carlisle and Pegasus.

Bought a decant of this and loved it, but after reading the reviews, I scooped a FB of Xeryus because it's so cheap and it made sense to compare before taking the plunge on a FB. The other reviewers are spot on with the comparison. This smells very similar to Xeryus but it somehow ends up slightly more refined and with more character. For the first hour or so, they're neck and neck, but Ispazon shines as it dries down. It's got slightly more floral and perhaps sweetness (vanilla?) in the heart and base which smooth it out better. Whereas Xeryus is a straight up vintage scent that I very much enjoy when I grow tired of my freshies, Ispazon is a more dignified and modern version. I think many folks out there would be perfectly happy with the Xeryus, especially given the price differential, but there's something very high quality and even Creed-like in the base that made it worth it to shell out 3 to 4 times more for a FB of Ispazon on the Bay (retail price is outlandish). It's quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Apparently I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely love this offering from PDM. My favorite of theirs, though it may not get the love that the other, more mass appealing fragrances they put out do. I get it, the bay leaf gives almost a BO vibe, but I'm addicted to it, and it stays throughout the life of the fragrance. It's a bit spicy, a bit green, and a bit funky/animalistic, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Probably not the best frag for a beginner and certainly not a safe blind buy. Scentual Obsessions also makes a spot-on clone if you wanna try but not empty your pockets as this is getting harder to find.

One of my first premium purchases ever. Can’t remember but I think I fell in love when I received a random sample. Sprayed it on after two years lol I’d been reminding myself to spray it for two weeks and finally remembered 😂 Still one of my very top faves. Amazing refreshing take on Bay Rhum - just minus the Rhum. Creamy bright orange with generous piquant bay leaf bodied out by the thyme. Incredibly refreshing, incredibly pungent, great value, great for all seasons and all occasions. Super love from me and that’s saying a lot when you look at my collection.

congratulation to myself.finally i found the best greeny notes that i really love. you know, i always want to have one greeny perfume in my collection but i don't like anyone and finally meet the ispazon. the citrus greeny,cedar,patchouli note that make me really crazy. i love you marly.definitely my next buy.10/10 تبریک به خودم. بالاخره یه عطر معرکه ترش و سبز گیر اوردم که واقعا عاشقه بوش شدم. من راستش کلا از عطرای سبز خوشم نمیاد ولی دوست داشتم یه دونه از بهتریناشو تو کلکسیونم داشته باشم و بالاخره اون یه دونه رو پیدا کردم. واقعا دمت گرم مارلی عطرات معرکه است.

Smells like a classic shaving cream but more upscale. I once remarked that Invasion Barbare smelled like the shaving cream of a prince and, well, this is in a similar vein although a bit less ostentatious and bombastic. I really love how it takes a classic fougere structure and makes it smell modern, without smelling thin or harsh. A very herbal citric opening that already has that strong creamy fougere backbone present (the "shaving cream accord") that slowly becomes more woody/creamy as it dries down. A modern fougere done right. 9/10.

One PDM no one reviews or talk about, perhaps coz its not hyped. but if you want a fresh orange lemon thyme and bayleaf combo, this is amazing. it does have a designer feel as its approachable, paco rabanne xs and xeruys by givenchy definitely similar, but the plus point on this one is it lasts and projects, and you get 125ml, always a good thing to have 25ml extra, its good for summer and spring. it is better than percival, galloway and few others for me. loved it. 9/10

What I get from this fragrance is a balsamic/woody/citrus. It is heavily underrated from the house and I actually quite enjoy it. I would like to pick up a bottle if I ever get the opportunity. Good longevity aswell. I wish PDM created more fragrances that are masculine, not the overly sweet stuff the put out these days, they have some real gems and this is one of them. More woody as it gets to develop, also quite mature.

Can't believe I just got my nose on this - spectacular! It bears some strong similarities to Amouage Sunshine Man in my opinion - sufficiently that owning both could possibly be redundant. Strong citric herbal opening that gives way to a green woodiness, the drydown is also less floral than Sunshine - that's where they differ. Both are lovely warm-weather fragrances.

Nice and refreshing aromatic scent with lots of green notes and cooling spices. Beautifully balanced with woods and musks. It’s an absolutely gorgeous male fragrance. Would looove to smell it of a guy somewhere on the street or in the cafe. Follow me on ig: scent.guide

One of my all time favourites. Used it today after year (I’m using it sparingly). Still a gorgeous Bay leaf with airy sweet orange - maybe some pimento (not that it’s on the note table) with a bit of amber. If you know of something similar please reach out to me...

Oh my God.. how is this thing rated below 4.5? This is my signature summer scent. I love the deep rich green opening and a sweet dry down with full day longevity. It's a great scent. The change in character is awesome. I love this masculine fragrance.

کارهای کمپانی مارلی با آن همه سابقه جزو عطریات مجلل و گران قیمت محسوب میشوند و به تعبیری امپریال و سلطنتی هستند سازنده این عطریات نام چند اسب مورد علاقه خود را بر روی محسولاتش گذاشته است عطرهایش بیشتر از روایح سنگین و گلهای پر عطر و دوام گرفته شده است در کل شاید بعضی ایرانیها نوع بوی آنرا نپسندند اما خیلی ها نیز فقط از این برند استفاده نموده و عطر دیگری خریداری نمیکنند همانند وفاداری بعضی از خریداران به مارکهای لباس و ساعت در کل اگر مورد پسندتان واقع شود کارهای بسیار مجلل و فاخری به حساب میآیند این کار مارلی نیز جزو بهترینهای آن است بسیار شیک کلاسیک سنگین دوام و رایحه خیلی خوب از لحاظ آمبولانژ و شیشه جزو بهترین و مرغوبترین شیشه های عطر در دنیا محسوب میشود یعنی بیشتر و شاید بگویم تمام شیشه های عطرهایش کریستال خالص میباشند با آن طراحی سلطنتی ای که دارد در همه جا پیدا نمیشود و در سطح تهران چند فروشگاه بیشتر آنرا ندارند قبل از خرید اگر توانستید جایی تست کنید حتما تست کنید چون بعد از خرید اگر پشیمان شوید با رقم مبلغ حدود 300 هزار تومان به بالایی که دارد تا 450 هزار تومان خیلی عطرهای دیگر میتوانید تهیه نمایید اما اگر پسندیدید مطمئنا یک شاهکار را در اختیار خواهید داشت

I loved the sample I had and it worked wonders in september last year when I was visiting a coastal city with slightly high humidity but kinda windy and chilly at the same time, I bought a full bottle (as tester one) for a hefty price since everybody knew its discontinued, but the scent is just not the same. the sample lasted full day with a beautiful sour drydown and I just couldn't stop smelling myself but this bottle I have is a totally different scent, it's like a barbershop scent that's very close to lippizan but not exactly, don't get me wrong it's smells nice anyhow but it was not the fragrance I Imagine I was buying! disappointed me unfortunately. it's a 2024 or 2023 batch but the sample was a lot older batch I reckon. I'm still searching for that beautiful smell I got from the sample it was beautiful and very masculine. loved it!

This perfume is very different against other perfumes in this brand. At the first, it has a plant scent. Thyme is so bold at top notes. In the late middle note and also last note, the scent become so similar to Tuscan leather of Tom ford. -------------------------------------------------- با بقيه كارهاي مارلي سبكش فرق داره. عطری است تقریبا به سبک گیاهی که فاقد هر گونه عود و چوبی هست. این عطر دوست داران عطرهای گیاهی رو از استنشاقش خوشحال میکنه. تقریبا اخر نت میانی و نت پایانی این عطر بسیار بسیار شبیه به توسکان لدر از برند تام فورد میشه. با وجود اینکه وجه شباهتی بین عناصر سازنده ی این عطر با توسکان لدر وجود نداره؛ ولی شباهت بوی خیلی زیادی در نت پایانی و انتهای نت میانی با همدیگه دارند

Gentelman! Slightly green herbal and citrus. I get an early 90 vibe frougere. Masculine clean mature scent. Good one for those that looking a clean green mature kind of fragrance.

Kinda generic aromatic green cologne honestly could be drug store tier and it wouldn’t feel out of place, opens with a limey green zing of bay and lime then drying down to an even more typical sort of woodsy smell. Performs kinda mediocre around 3-4 hours

Smells like pencil shavings...

Nothing interesting. It makes sense, but it performs poorly between Lipizan and Derley. On the skin, not so bad, the question is whether it’s too sour. ⸻ But it is a reasonable wall, slightly challenging, in a somewhat different (though related) way than Lippizan. Maybe Lippizan wants to leave traces in Kouros, and Ispazon in Lauder? If thinking about kinship with XS, it should also reach Himalaya, but there’s probably no such thread. Nevertheless, worth checking out. The whiffs are pleasant, indeed a bit sour, which might somehow evoke Himalaya — but up close it’s actually excessive. Still, it’s about the structure, the sculpture that abstracts from the acid itself; the acid that might soon be overwhelmed. This sculpture defines the character, not what one can quickly infer. However, the acid can be irritating, much more than in the airier Himalaya. It fades too late, we encounter the strength of this scent too late — the fact that it lasts extremely long, yet the first hour is hard to endure because of the acid. It’s sad that in cases like Lippizan and Ispazon the reformulation doesn’t aim to improve the parameters but everything sticks to the established trajectory. I would gladly swap the dry-down in Lippizan (if you can even call what’s in Lippizan that) for Ispazon’s dry-down, or instead of feeling an annoying acid for an hour, to feel Lippizan’s hour-long start. A pity.

Yes I agree, it is a sharp citric one, very bitter on me and really TOO much .. for a man, maybe but this is not as lovely as the other strong stuff of Marly, like Lippizan, but on my hand the notes are unpleasant and disharmonic.. even on a man, I m sure I would not like him..too much clashing personalities I guess:)

Wow, unpleasantly suprised by this one. I owe a few PdM fragrances but this is the worst ive smelled. Opens up citrusy and aromatic, dries down to something boring aromatic ( from the bayleaf) , like a cheap 30€ fragrance. Smells more like an Axe showergel/bodyspray than a niche fragrances. Big pass.

Ispazon smells like tacos and shaving cream. I was enjoying this one to the point of full bottle consideration until my wife pointed out that there's an undeniable note of taco seasoning in the mix. Now it's all I can smell when I put it on. Once you smell it, you can't unsmell it... Tacos.

Very strong bay leaf fragrance. Fresh, lil bit citrussy but the most dominant and powerful is the bay leaf accord. Projects really strongly and lasts forever.

This fragrance reminds me a lot of the 90's, and while I apparently am on my own here and going from memory, this is registering as Cool Water, which to its credit, I can remember from decades ago. The big theme here is a warm vanilla amber musk base that is sort of juxtaposed by a sharp cedar and a tangy bright yellow citrus. The cedar here is done particularly well, it's got the dry, pencil-shaving vibe, has a bit of a peppery, every so slight cumin note, and is anchored by what hits me as an oakmoss vibe as you would find in Pasha, Drakkar, Cool Water, much more so than bay leaf. I was suspicious of that note, and confirmed this by going to my kitchen and crushing some bay leaf, which is very much a coniferous, pine smell, like you'd find in Aspen or Polo, not getting that here. The drydown is dominated by the cedar and becomes slightly soapy (musk) and very fresh, vanilla persists but tucked neatly away. This is an aromatic fougere to the core, and done well, the twist of the dominant cedar note is somewhat novel, but I can see why this is discontinued, it's very old school. Sillage is huge, you will be smelled by those around you.

My colleague is crazy for this scent, and what we feel is that it gets sharper and sharper by the end of the day. We have told him multiple times that it gets irritating for all of us to be around you and he is like find me a better replacement and I will stop using this. Can some one suggest any similar one for him?

Great hidden masterpiece from a truly great house. Masculine green citrus woodsy bit sweet original must have in any gentlemen’s collection.

One of the BEST products with cool and woody fragrances. So deep and incisive. It is realy a masterpiece.

Sharp citric fast fading notes... then woody... woody... solid and stable bitter woody. Heavy scent IMHO

It's just like GIVENCHY XERYUS but ISPAZON is more strong.
