Valaya Exclusif

I am HAUNTED by this perfume. It has me in its clutches and it will not let me go. I went to Nordstrom at lunch time to spray myself with Delina, but before I could ask, the store associate offered to show me the two recent PDMs, Valaya and Valaya Exclusif. Valaya was okay, pretty and light with lots of orange blossoms, but the moment I smelled Valaya Exclusif, it was like the clouds parted and time slowed down. It had a brief orange blossom opening like Valaya, and then it bloomed into a sweet almond note I wanted to bathe in. I chose to wear Valaya Exclusif instead of Delina, and the store associate spritzed me twice. I was enveloped in a sweet almond, lightly floral cloud for the rest of the day, which dried down to the most intoxicating spicy laundry smell (and this is from someone who hates soapy clean-girl scents as being boring at best and screechy at worst). When I got back to work I put my lab coat on and went about my day as usual, but I could smell this heavenly scent with every breath. Ladies and gentlemen, every day for the rest of the week whenever I put that lab coat on, I could still smell this perfume! I tried it on a Tuesday, and I could still smell it on Friday (on a coat that didn’t even get sprayed itself, was just worn on top of a shirt that had been sprayed!!). This perfume has rewired my brain. I feel like an addict. After trying it in the store, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I would keep catching whiffs of it days after. "Spicy clean laundry" sounds like such a boring scent, I don't know why I'm so obsessed with it, but I can't get it out of my head. The prices for a full bottle are astronomical, so I bought a 5ml decant. I try not to wear it too often because I would be crushed if I ever went nose blind to it, but every day I crave smelling it (I smell the test strip I left in my car like an addict every time I get in). If I’m not wearing it, I want to be; and if I am wearing it, I want to put more on because I want to drown in this scent. If I read “sweet almond and spicy laundry detergent” on a profile for a perfume I wouldn’t even give it a try in store, but somehow here I am, completely hung up on this perfume. This perfume gets a lot of hate here, people saying it’s overpriced and unoriginal. I can’t argue that it’s absurdly expensive, but please, for anyone saying it’s unoriginal, tell me what other perfumes smell like this!! I’ve looked through every other perfume that shares the main scent notes (orange blossom, sweet almond, etc) and tried the recommended perfumes looking for something similar with a lower price tag, and nothing smells remotely similar. I don’t even think Valaya (the original) smells like Valaya Exclusif, so I doubt any of the Valaya dupes would either. Longevity: I have the paper test strip in my car (which sits outside in the hot sun all day) and I can still smell Valaya Exclusif when I hold it up to my nose four weeks later. When I spray this on my chest and then rub my hair over the area, I can smell it in my hair for days after. I wore it on a wool sweater 3 weeks ago and can still smell it. The longevity on this is unreal. (Thank goodness, at this price point) Sillage: I don’t think the sillage is as strong as Delina - my husband could smell Valaya Exclusif when he was sitting next to me in the car after I sprayed one spray, but said it wasn’t overpowering. One spray of Delina an HOUR before we went on a road trip gave him a headache. I’m a habitual single-sprayer though, I would imagine if you sprayed more you could get decent sillage. When the sales associate sprayed me twice, I felt like the scent was rolling off me in waves for an hour or two after (to the point where I was actually nervous about overwhelming people nearby). Not sure who could afford to spray themselves multiple times with this though at $430 a bottle! Edit: I went back to the mall and tested two sprays of this again...about 5 hours later, my husband got a headache from being in the car with me for 10 minutes. So I would say the sillage is pretty beast mode. I promised him I would only ever do one spray at a time...I would be heartbroken if he hated this perfume because I chemical warfare-d him! It'll also help my supply last longer :) I'm going to have to track this perfume down on the grey market because I can't live without it.

A comforting hug, with deceitful marketing. Parfums De Marly - Valaya Exclusif, a fragrance built for a gentleman. Valaya opens up like a fresh madeleine - warm and inviting with a hint of zest. The almond opening invites you to a gourmand fragrance, but the mandarin and bergamot kills it almost instantly, almost like it’s trying to contradict itself from the first moment. Powdery notes and white flowers follow suit, giving the scent a feminine power and elegance that feels welcome again, but the zesty opening cannot be forgotten. Ambroxan and vanilla lay the base, giving it warmth and a gourmand undertone, which grounds it and helps it feel well-rounded. On paper, it seems like it would be all but pleasant, maybe even a tad boring, but that’s where the culprit lies. There are similarities between Valaya and the sisters of this scent, Angel Dust by Fugazzi, I Don’t Know What by DS & Durga, creating an envelope for the body to be cocooned by. Yet, Valaya proves to be the older and more sophisticated sister of the bunch. With a twist that the bottle does not display in typical PDM fashion - it works perfectly for a gentleman. Clean, soft and warm, almost like a fresh shirt in the morning, with the coffee still steeping in the caf etière, the pastries brought fresh from the bakery and the crisp draft of a summer’s friday morning. A smell that you want to experience, a smell that brings warmth and comfort to the soul. And that’s what my experience of Valaya is - a crowd-pleaser, with strangers stopping me in the street, colleagues asking what I’m wearing and lovers being enticed by the dry down on my skin. It’s comforting to everyone, and yet when people start looking into the fragrance, they cannot believe it’s a feminine one. That’s why I hope anyone having second thoughts about this, goes out to smell it and envisions someone else wearing it, and just maybe you’ll want to be that someone else who gives a hug and brings warmth and comfort with them.

I had never smelled anything quite like Valaya before: A deep freshie that manages to be interesting and long lasting! Less airy than Fleur Narcotique, but still airy, and not as sweet and girly. Love them both. I did not have particularly high hopes for this one since reading comments on ”just Valaya but softer and with no aldehydes”. Whereas I love aldehydes it is true that they are not here. This one, however, is all the way as gorgeous as the original with a smooth, green-ish almond note and much more powdery aspects. It doesn’t smell as strong at first, but believe me it is. And it lasts the whole day. Of course outrageously expensive. I could not stop thinking about it after trying it three days ago. So I must get it. Even though I hate these prices I still must say that it is different enough as to get even if you own Valaya. The Exclusif is a dream in perfume creating. Truly exquisite. It is not at all choking the way otherwise powdery and almond laden fragrances can be. Also, it is not ”laden” but a very gentle almond note.

This smells like Valaya but has undertone of warmth, vanilla coziness. It has a dry down of warm vanilla but very faint. If a woman sat next to me smelling like this I would think that she smells quite nice Valaya is refreshing like you have just opened a bag of mandarins. Valaya Exclusif had the same smell of mandarins but on the dry down has a newborn baby powdery, soft musk, vanilla, fresh and calming smell to it. It is very warm, cozy but so delicately done to enjoy just a touch of gourmand without being too sweet, sickening or florally. I hate gourmand scents but wish I could wear them without getting sick. this gives you the slightest taste of gourmand but pulls back before it makes you feel sick. Honestly the best fragrance ive ever smelt. it is the softest most sweet and feminine scent I have ever smelt in my life but in the cleanest way possible. Its a very soft powdery feminine scent. I can only imagine that this is what an angel would smell like

I love this perfume a lot! It's elegant, sophisticated, polished, refined, and luxurious. It feels beautifully balanced and it works wonderfully on my skin. I love the powdery dry-down, and I find the entire progression addictive. I experienced the fragrance moving from the opening, through the heart, and into the base, and every stage is delicious in its own way. The longevity is excellent, and the projection is strong without becoming overwhelming. One spray is usually enough for me, which helps justify the price. Interestingly, I did not like it very much when I first tested it. I kept returning to it, and the more I wore it, the more I liked it, until I eventually bought a full bottle. Now it is one of my absolute favorite perfumes and one I could wear all the time. I would strongly recommend sampling it before buying. It seems to inspire very strong love-or-hate reactions, and it really needs to work with both your taste and your skin chemistry.

Valaya Exclusif is one of those fragrances that just smells expensive. Like, properly expensive. I have nothing quite like it in my collection. I do try not to buy fragrances that are too similar, although on some occasions I do end up getting multiple perfumes with a similar DNA. I love clean scents, so this one makes so much sense for me. It is honestly lovely. The only other almond fragrance in my collection is Rolling in Love, and they could not be more different. Rolling in Love is warm, creamy, and intimate, while Valaya Exclusif feels polished, airy, and quietly luxurious. The price is definitely the painful part... but I kind of understand it. I have not been able to wear it for a full day yet, but I keep reading that it lasts forever on the skin, so we shall see. I get that this one will not be for everyone, but it is very much for me.

Okay so today was my first day actually wearing it...and when I tell yall I sprayed that perfume on at 7:40am and it’s currently 8:41pm and I can still smell it HEAVILY! It starts off with such a bright opening and it transitions into a beautiful, powdery, fruity, almond, vanilla scent! All this with an underlined soapy smell! And I’m usually not into clean fragrances but honestly this is the best fragrance I’ve tried in a long time. The last time I had a reaction like this was when I was a teenager in high school and I smelled Valentinos Donna Born in Roma! This scent has a feminine grace to it. It is elegant, soft and silent but you know she’s there. Valaya has a quiet authority to her. If I could identify this fragrance with a movie character, I would say Cinderella, or Clair Huxtable. Definitely signature scent worthy! 🤍🕊️

Made the mistake of sampling this at the store last week. I say mistake because I fell so head over heels that I had to buy a full bottle immediately! This was love at first sniff and possibly one of the best perfumes I have ever laid my nose on. It’s light, fresh, sophisticated, and creamy. It’s longer lasting than the original and sweeter. Almond, mandarin, and vanilla are the star player notes for me. It starts off with almond that is so sweet, it’s almost like marzipan. Then the mandarin and bergamot come out, then the vanilla that is so fluffy and creamy like icecream. I could see this being worn in any season. Also worth noting that this is a beast performer, at least on me. It lasts easily twelve hours, projects well, and that’s just with one spray.

If you did not like the original Valaya, definitely try this! I was put off by social media influencers who all said that it’s the same fragrance as the original, with just a powdery and almond note added to it. That is not the case in my opinion! The sharp, screechy, scratchy, loud aspects of original Valaya are completely dialed back! Not having the aldehydes that original valaya has makes a world of difference. This fragrance is elegant, beautiful and wearable. I have fragrances with this scent profile already, namely Levant, Neroli Amara, and O’feminin, but Valaya Exclusive fills a space in my small collection because it can be worn in cooler weather! Edit: Sold it! I have a coworker who wears those all the time, and I’m not a fan of how she smells!

Valaya Exclusif is the fragrance that finally made me understand the hype. At first, I wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. It felt unusual, slightly abstract, and difficult to read. But the more I wore it, the more beautiful it became. This is a very feminine, powdery, musky fragrance with soft florals, creamy woods, subtle sweetness, and a smooth molecular quality. Despite being heavily musky, it never smells like laundry detergent or soap. Instead, it feels elegant, airy, and incredibly refined. What I love most is the balance - * It has presence without being overpowering * longevity without feeling heavy * and enough character to stand out while remaining perfectly wearable every day Soft, powdery, feminine, and almost angelic.

I haven’t tried valaya the og, so I can’t compare it to this version. But from everything I’d heard about this perfume, it not only met but exceeded my expectations. It’s exactly as described, elegant, rich, and refined. This is how I imagine a princess would smell in the morning. The distinctive citrus opening is beautifully blended with musk, and I’m completely in love with the soft musky powdery accord, supported by a subtle floral background. It’s incredibly well balanced and pleasant to the nose. I’ve received more compliments with this perfume than with any of my previous ones, which tells me it’s very crowd pleasing. I wear it daily to work, and my colleagues genuinely love it when I do. It truly doesn’t disappoint.

i'm stunned. i expected to hate this. i DO hate og valaya (on me). OG valaya is so sharp and aldehydic in a way that doesn't work for me, and i've seen so many people say that exclusif is very very similar so i expected to hate this too. somehow... not only do i not hate it, i fell in love and its even my favorite PDM perfume ever now. i don't know how my opinion can be so drastic between the two where valaya is my least favorite and this is my favorite but... i really do suggest giving this a try if the aldehydic nature of valaya didn't work for you. you may just like this one instead!

I smelled this fragrance with very high expectations because it was hyped up on social media. The opening is considerably softer than the other version; it's still a scent that strongly evokes cleanliness. It's described more like the scent of angels, but I don't think angels are that rich. It gives me more of a Grace Kelly vibe; it's one of the fragrances that best reflects her delicate, rare demeanor, gaze, and attitude. The regular Valaya, on the other hand, gives me more of a Princess Kate vibe; that sharp opening is a reflection of her dominant spirit.

Honestly one of the best from PDM, if not the best for me along Delina Exclusif and Oriana. This is ten times better than the original Valaya, the almond note gives it a creaminess that is so attractive. The citrus notes blend so well with the white flowers. It’s such a pretty sophisticated scent. The fragrance is grounded by the woods and amber, which give it that roundness that makes it so feminine. It’s honestly one of the best fragrances I’ve smelled so far. It dries down beautifully and last DAYS on clothes. Guaranteed compliment magnet 🌸

When I first smelled this, I thought it was delicious. I still think it is. It’s not as forceful and in your face as Bella, but it smells really nice., it’s more of a body spray than a perfume. I still love it and will layer it, but not a re-buy for me. I bought This is about a month later I went to the mall and smelled this and it smells nothing like the bottle that I have so I got it from eBay so I think I got scammed. The bottle from the mall smells awesome and I will be buying from a reputable place .I no longer purchase from eBay.

I almost bought a nearly bottle on EBay and sisnt as I was undecided. Bought a decent and so glad I did. It’s a no for me. The almond, powdery scent does not mix well with the bergamot citrus. I’m getting citrus that does not align with sweet almond biscuit. It’s as if the perfume confused. I have the Valaya hair mist which is just OK. I have a decant of Valaya, the citrus and aldehydes is a little too sharp for my nose. The hair spray is a little softer. I wanted to like the exclusif version but unfortunately I don’t.

Nothing else in my collection captures this level of refined softness quite the same way as Valaya Exclusif does. This is everything I love in a perfume: soft, luminous, creamy, and sophisticated elegant. This scent wraps me in the most beautiful clean musky veil without ever turning sharp or screechy on my skin. Valaya Exclusif feels airy and comforting at the same time — like delicate florals, expensive fabric and warm skin blended into one seamless cloud. I get compliments every single time I wear it. LOVE! ❤️

Elegance is all that I can describe this as. I can’t compare it to the og valaya because I’ve never tested that, but this is a soft, powdery almond that opens with a bright citrus note before drying down into a more creamy vanilla and wood scent. Definitely could see someone wearing this on a fancy occasion during fall or winter. I hate how much I like this though because it’s wildly expensive so I’m testing some more fragrances out before committing.

Hello my friends 🤍 I'm so in love with this timeless fluffy cloud of almond that surrounds me all day long. It is not sweet but it is a kind of a milky scent that blends with your skin and makes a very personal vibe . I think it creates a unique scent when it combines with your skin and you know that is only yours. For me is a masterpiece and I believe that a perfume is created for doing this exactly thing, to make you feel unique.

It smells like going into a hotel bed in a summer vacation. You have lotion on, the fragrance of the sheet’s softener is mixed with that and it smells clean and powdery. But not clean in a way a white t-shirt is, it’s not screechy, it’s soft. Not powdery in a way iris is, it’s airy not dense. Not sweet in a way that’s gourmand, just makes it more balanced. I get no florals in here. It’s a simple but unique composition. Must try

This wears on me as an ethereal, otherworldly powdery white floral with whispers of orange blossom. A complex one - Valaya Exclusif evolves and you get a bit of every note every step of the way. I get the citrusy accord, with a hint of vanilla. The white floral DNA is reminiscent of Narciso Rodriguez's Ambreé, which probably contributes to my affinity for this particular PDM fragrance.

I personally love this fragrance. It’s starts off as a nice creamy citrus smell. It moves on to creamy vanilla, almond goodness I think I kind of.. change scent based on your skin, i think for some people it’s worse and for others it’s better. I love it though because of the nice creamy powdery feeling throughout its whole span. With all of this being said. It is very expensive 8.9/10

To me, Valaya Exclusif transforms from a delicate almond to a creamy powdery sweet floral and the akigalawood pokes out once in a while and when it does, it’s quite addicting. I recommend only one or two sprays because it can get quite overwhelming. It’s been 12 hours and it’s presence is still there and clings on to clothes. I definitely think this is a fall, winter fragrance

A unique and long-lasting (24 hours) fragrance, that I prefer to the original Valaya as this presents smoother. I consider it a freshie type smell, which projects really nicely in the winter - but of course is very popular to wear in spring and summer due to the floral notes. It was an instant favourite for me that I will always have in my collection.

I’m absolutely loving Valaya Exclusive! I already adored the original Valaya, and now I’m falling for this one too. It carries the same stunning DNA, but with added citrus and almond touches that make it even more sophisticated. If I had to choose one fragrance to wear for the rest of my life, it would definitely be one of the Valayas. 1000/10

It was not love at first sniff for the original Valaya, and then a funny thing happened and I grew to love it. Valaya Exclusif, however, was an instant love! I loved it so much that I bought the 2.5 oz bottle and decided to just stick with having a couple of decants of the original. This is smoother,imo.

Expensive? Yes. One spray is enough though. Had so many compliments the one time I sprayed. And when I left an office it lingered and I was sent a text to let me know. If anything is a one spray, lasts for hours and leaves a trail it’s worth it. Almost wanted to gatekeep. Actually I did that day.

Exquisite, beautiful, powdery vanilla masterpiece, it's stronger and last longer than the original it's sweeter. It's a beautiful fragrance you can layr on. I love it from the beginning to the creamy end. you should try both to compare or if you can afford it get both. for me it is a love 10/ 10

I wish this wasn’t so expensive. I didn’t like most of the other popular perfumes from de marly so I didn’t have high hopes but this one is really great on my skin. Almond just agrees with me I think. It’s a nice light, summery perfume that projects but isn’t sticky or heavy.

Finally got my hands on a full bottle as a gift🤗 Absolutely love the scent, it’s so airy and soft yet strong and memorable! Perfect feminine fragrance for musk lovers, for the woman who wants to grab attention quietly. Feminine effortless luxury in a bottle❤️

This is my favourite of all the pfdm clean elegant comforting addictive, I’m shocked I like it so much, after my dislike for delina I don’t think I would like any of them, but unfortunate for my bank balance I love this one

Beautiful scent! Effortlessly elegant and sophisticated. Sadly it’s not a strong scent and stays pretty close to me. In a way I’m glad that does that because I can’t spend this amount of money on a perfume right now.

This really shines on skin! I loved it on paper but it smells so comforting on my skin. I was torn between getting Valaya Exclusif vs OG Valaya. I'm still interested in testing the OG but perhaps I don't need both

Fluffy and elegant. Feels like cotton on skin. Softer than the original Valaya. Powdery but sweet as well. A clean no-brainer scent but not an “interesting” olfactory journey. Works really well for office days.

It’s the OG Valaya but she grew up and is more grounded with that woody almond note. She’s still an angel fairy, but a bit more down to earth. For those who get it, PDM made a subtle change for the better imo.

I have this perfume tester. It feels like who just took a bath and put on a warm almond milk body better . Smells so clean , cozy , silky smooth. Love it! Will definitely buy the full version!

This has become my signature instantly. Best thing I have ever smelled in my entire life. Angelic. Clean. Interesting. DELICIOUS! Valaya Exclusif is the real masterpiece of Parfums de Marly.

On my skin, it settles like a warm, gentle hug a mother would give a baby on a sunny morning in clean, soft sheets with patterns of clouds and angels.

don’t even try the dupes NOTHING compares to this. It’s almost indescribable. All ik it’s that is the only freshie I can tolerate and adore

This is the best ever I need it
