Valaya

I am thrilled I didnt pay attention to most of the reviews here. please remember that everything is subjective, especially when it comes down to your hormones/skin chemistry. now, without further ado: sniffing the bottle, I get photo-realistic white florals, aldehydes, musk, citrus. on first blast, I get a very fancy light blue. a few seconds in, the peach peeks through, with the white floral notes and the ambroxan and musk in the background. it smells like a cool breeze wafting through a white-floral dense meadow on a hot day. does it smell like detergent? no. for reference, I think Liquid Diamonds from V&R smelled like straight up Tide. this does smell crisp and clean, but if you have a detergent that smells like this - please point me in the direction, I will bathe in it. does it smell like Oriana? no. thats the most mind boggling comparison to me ... I get 0 powder from this. some of these reviews had me worried this would smell like a peach flavored tums chewable LOL. this has a light, sweet peach that peaks through the airy notes, but nothing like Oriana, which smells like fruit-flavored marshmallows. beast mode? scrubber? loud? could be, if you hate musk. I myself love musk, but I find this to be lighter, quieter, softer than Initio's Musk Therapy. Beast mode - oh ya. I put a few spritzes on yesterday afternoon*** and can still smell it on as I type this, pre-shower, the following morning. I still smell the peach, the musk, ambroxan, light white florals. this is quite possibly the closest contender I have found for a signature scent - I have not come across anything that I would consider a true dupe, and I am absolutely living.

As someone who’s kinda new to the perfumes world, this perfume was definitely out of my comfort zone, and surprisingly I like it a lot, I still don’t understand why I like it that much. It’s musky, woody, clean, some juiciness or sweetness, maybe floral?, slick, has a presence that leans to softness—but it’s not soft. At first it’s mostly musky and sharp, but few minutes after and other notes unleash. Then I start to get the citrus with (I think) subtle sweetness, some subtle juiciness too mixed with the musky and woody side of this perfume. It simply gets better. To me, it’s not “clothes fresh out of the laundry” clean, it’s more like “a day later after being out of the laundry” type of clean. It’s elegant and sophisticated, and I think it activated something in my brain. It’s like an elegant slick girl who’s obsessed with cleaning her room, and she looks as elegant as and as clean as her environment. I definitely think it’s very unisex. Also it stayed on my arm for 7 hours!! Mind you I showered!! I still can smell it on my arm, then I just reapplied it. As much as I might like it, I can definitely understand why someone would find it too sterile, maybe too sharp. It’s NOT a safe blind buy. But to me it’s an amazing surprise.

This is heaven in a bottle. How I imagine an angel would smell like. At first it could smell a bit sharp and even slightly spicy. took me a few attempts to get comfortable wearing it, but it grew on me, and the drydown is the most cozy musk. It develops very well on my skin. It has a strong presence and lasts forever on my skin and clothes. Although expensive, you don’t need to spray too much, so the bottle ends up lasting for a good amount of time. Due to its bold presence, I don’t think it is for all occasions and has the potential to overwhelm people around you if sprayed too much. I think it can be worn in all seasons and times of day, but I find it to make more sense at night and fall season. Still, it’s one of my favorite fragrances in my collection. The exclusif version leans much more powdery and without the cozy musk at drydown, so it loses points compared to this og version. It can be layered but honestly doesn’t need it as it is already complex and very present by itself.

I was about to leave Skins after trying lots of different scents to find my signature scent, when I decided to try Valaya on my skin (even though it smelled a bit sharp on a scent strip before). Once outside, I caught an immediate whiff of Valaya and instantly fell in love. It was soo beautiful, elegant, and clean. It gave me a confidence boost with this scent bubble around me so I turned back and bought it immediately😂. It gives a confident, classy woman energy. I would describe it as clean and fruity/citrusy with a powdery touch as I mostly get the peach, aldehydes, and bergamot. The projection is amazing, even one spray created a strong scent bubble, so 2/3 sprays are perfect. Definitely sample first as it may come across as screechy/intense to some. I also tried other PdM fragrances and I think it might be one of my favorite houses, great quality and gorgeous bottles!!! Pretty sure I’ve found my new signature scent, and to say obsessed is an understatement....😍

In my large and beloved collection, Valaya remains among the very top. Do not believe that the dupes smell the same because I’ve tried (and have) many. Some get parts of it pretty close but none capture the whole picture or get the details correct. There are nuances and complexities to Valaya that are not necessarily obvious until you truly get to know this composition. It seems kind of simple at first glance, but it is not. Valaya transitions from a fresh juicy opening to a crisp floral to a gorgeous spicy, woody drydown. A clean warm musk veils every stage. The evolution of Valaya on my skin is truly incredible. I love it and wear it for myself alone, but every single time I wear it out in public, I am complimented by other women (my favorite kind of compliments) and often they ask me to write down the name. OG Valaya is not for everyone, but if it works for you, it’s fantastic. I literally walk and carry myself differently when I wear it because I feel great.

Valaya is my signature scent and a perfume that truly feels like an extension of myself. It carries a white, pure, and minimal energy, yet at the same time it smells attractive, noticeable, and distinctive. Although the newer version is talked about more, I personally prefer the original Valaya. With its clean, almost wet-feeling notes, the moment I spray it I feel as if I’m emerging from water, wrapped in delicate white tulle, like a fairy. It smells otherworldly, as if it doesn’t belong to this world. The white, clean energy created by the aldehydes and musk envelops the body like an aura. Its performance and longevity are incredibly satisfying, and whenever I wear it, I inevitably receive compliments. It’s a deep, complex fragrance that evokes many emotions at once—innocent yet seductive, mysterious yet remarkably transparent. It’s well on its way to becoming my wedding fragrance.

Everything Quentin Bisch touches turn into gold ☺️. this is no exception at all. such a gourgeous floral. I love this and I’m definitely buying a large bottle because I’ll be done with this one by mid summer. This is going to be my summer signature. I get most of these notes that are listed on the note pyramid above. orange blossom isn’t harsh like it can be in some summer scent. This is a soft smooth fragrance, almost super feminine. I also get a beachy vibe, not sunscreen but beachy/pool resort. The longevity is amazing on my hydrated skin. PDM, fragrance have lasting power for sure! Went to hairdresser today and everyone complimented me! Yay, Im not a searcher for compliments but I do appreciate them, knowing that make me feel like I made the right choice. I know PDM fragrances are expensive during such a try time in the world but I feel if you are a true fraghead you need this!!!

Valaya is the misunderstood girl in the class who has so much to offer but is constantly standing in the shadow of the popular Delina. I love Delina too, don't get me wrong, but Valaya is just as amazing. Valaya is not sharp or screechy on my skin. She takes me back to my childhood, at my grandparents house. It's a sunny summer day in the North of Sweden, I'm eight years old with long hair and a sundress, the fresh laundry is hanging outside and the wind is blowing. I smell a mix of summer air, sun-dried sheets, flowers and peaches with just a touch of sweetness. Valaya is a veil (a strong and powerful one, but still) of clean, feminine, musky, floral fruitiness. She's a warm summer breeze and a cold freshness at the same time. Signature scent worthy. Valaya is a bit too strong to wear when it's really hot outside, but she's amazing in the spring. 9/10.

I keep coming back to this one without purchasing due to the price. Last time I tested it, some of it sprayed onto my jacket and I could smell it a week later. Yesterday, I sprayed it on my hand at around 11am. Today, at 2pm, I STILL smell it, despite having showered, and washed my hands multiple times. So I'd say its very long lasting. It seems to project quite well too, as just that one small spray if I moved my hand I suddenly would get a whiff of the scent around me. It has this deep but rich, clean, musky delicious smell that you just want to keep sniffing – I am addicted to it. I catch myself raising my hand up to my nose every few minutes for a sniff. The fact that i can still smell it on my hand today is amazing. I have decided I need to buy it now, after months of considering!

When I first tried this, I didn't know what to think. It felt a bit synthetic to me and I couldn't wear it for long... How wrong I was! I got a bottle of this with the Harrods advent calendar and wore it over the spring, the amount of compliments I got on this! It's turned into one of my go to, fresh summer fragrances! It opens with a beautiful citrus and peach, fruity but not tropical at all. The muskiness in this is perfect, it's light and airy, but the sillage is insane!! Everyone around me picks up on it, in a good way! I was told it smells expensive, and for the price point I'm glad they think so! But I believe that this is more than worth the price for the longevity and power this little perfume has. A must buy for fans of citrus and musk!

Imagine you wake up in fresh white linen sheets in an incredibly beautiful hotel in Paris. The sun shines gently through the window and you take a deep breath. You can smell the white bouquet of flowers that have been placed on the table, were also a plate of a warm pastry with peaches await. That’s the picture that danced in my mind, the first time I sprayed in onto my wrist. Its pure elegance and femininity. Timeless and classic but doesn’t come across outdated at all. My sister called it a “boujee clean girl pilates scent” and i agree. One spritz is enough and when i go out in the evenings I indulge in two. This would easily turn into my everyday scent- if not for the hefty pricetag. All in all a gorgeous fragrance

Revisiting this today and moving it from a like to a love. This hits my nose like a lily of the valley vacation of Tilia. I’m not super familiar with Nympheal but wasn’t at all surprised to read that it also has a linden blossom aspect, in addition to its more prominent watery lotv aroma. I went into this perfume for the orange blossom, but that’s not what it is at all. Now that I understand it I’m loving it, big time. And just in time for spring! Revisiting perfumes in my collection that don’t get heavy use is so much fun. I’m pausing acquisitions for Q1 2026 and focusing on my faves while revisiting things I liked but didn’t love in 2025. This reexamination of Valaya was a huge win and I’m so glad I have it!

This is the scent I have been dreaming of all my life. I wasn't drawn to it immediately but as I returned to it after it dried down, I felt like I had been graced by the presence of an angel. When people think of me, I want them to smell this. A man would think about you for the rest of his life if he smelled this on you. It makes me feel otherworldly, like I've transcended human form and am the embodiment of everything that is beautiful in the world. It is a spiritual and religious experience every time I wear this. It smells like the color light blue, swans, doves, flower fields, clouds, air, sun, and everything that is pure and fresh. This will be with me until I croak and will be my wedding scent 🙏

I started out loathing this fragrance. On the tester paper it smelled like this sharp, synthetic, foul stench that I couldn’t describe. But because I love Delina so much and there’s so much hype around Valaya, so I tried and tried it until one day I finally sprayed the store tester on my jacket and wow it just hit me. I wouldn’t even consider this a traditionally nice smelling scent. It’s not exactly flowers or fruits, but something about it...something about it is just tantalizing and I want to keep smelling it. And it allows me to, because it lasts on my clothes for days. Now I love it. It’s gonna be another perfume that I will keep purchasing.

Valaya is a masterpiece of beauty and femininity. it is perfect for everyday use . i tried it today at work , and it lasted at least 6 hours with a projection that doesn't bother anyone , but makes me feel calm, clean , like i just got out of the shower . although it is not the notes most perceived by the majority, i can smell the white flowers very well, and the moss is logically quite noticeable. as it drys, the woody notes become more prominent, and i can smell the citrus notes slightly. I really like it. i wouldn't say it's a bossy fragrance, but rather one for a delicate and calm woman. i would definitely buy it again.

I've smelled this a few times in shops and thought it was just okay. I finally got a sample and wore it all day long and I've decided I love it. At the moment, I'm going through a musk phase so this hits that craving perfectly. To me, it's a soft floral musk with a bit of citrus at the opening. It's gentle enough to wear to bed but also nice during the day. Definitely an every day sort of scent. Clean and comforting. I definitely want a full bottle though I don't know if I'll get one any time soon. I just wish I'd stop falling in love with expensive perfumes.

A fragrance that paved the way for a hundred dupes. A masterpiece, that cannot be denied, I bought every dupe I could find and kept telling myself I didn’t need to pay over £200 for 75ml of Valaya. Well look at me now with mud on my face. There is something extra in Valaya that even the best dupes cannot replicate. Projection is crazy, I get more compliments wearing it than I do for any other fragrance I own. I won’t go into the notes as everyone’s knows what it smells like, I’m just at peace with world now knowing I have this in my collection.

This is the fragrance that has brought me the most compliments by far. I’ve had women stop me even after 8 hours of wearing it, asking what smells so incredibly good. It’s truly a compliment magnet. I have to admit, when I first bought it, I wasn’t completely in love with it, it felt a little “sharp” or slightly bitter to me. But over time, it completely won me over. It just needs a bit of time to settle and develop on the skin, and once it does, it becomes absolutely addictive. My beloved Valaya, elegant, unique, and unforgettable.

Valaya is nice, wearable, delicate and all... but are we this excited about a soft lemony musky scent? To me this is very much so the same category as Donna by Trussardi or Moonlight by Ahmed. I just dont really get what so original or impressive about it for everyone to be so obsessed and pay that price point. To me its a 'nice' scent, polite, clean, pretty, sure, but nothing that I would spend 250$ on. Performance is okay, it's quite subtle and I barely notice Im wearing it. Idk, I dont dislike it but the hype is so exagerrated.

Ah, Valaya. My muse, a work of art. Firstly, this fragrance is not merely ‘clean’ or ‘musky’. The orange blossom and peach lift the aldehydes to this heavenly, sparkling, beautiful perfume. It is the olfactory projection of sunlight, a rainbow, a cherub on a soft cloud. This is the only fragrance I get poetic about. It’s perfect projection-wise, any louder and it would become too sharp. Only a few sprays are needed for the softest but most beautiful bubble. I’m not sure if another fragrance could ever come close to her.

Really beautiful- sparkly aldehydes, peach skin opening, clean crisp laundry-staticky-fuzzy drydown. Probably the most elegant fragrance I own! 1 or 2 sprays at most. This is not a SWEET fragrance, so if youre expecting that, it might be jarring... i read a lot of reviews on this dragging it but i think its just not a gourmand profile so easily-influenced social media enjoyers might not be ready for something like this fragrance.... So so worth it, but try it on skin before you buy and DONT OVERSPRAY! 🫣

Is very hard to put into words how this fragrance smells to me. It's like the color white would have a scent, it’s like the odor of angels. You have to test this on the skin to truly smell the power of the musk and white florals in this scent. Valaya is this fluffy, crisp peach, that combines beautifully the juicy notes of mandarin and the sharpness of orange blossom. It's a beast-mode musk fragrance, that can be worn all year round. I will definitely wear this on my wedding day!

Beautiful fresh scent for those who don’t like icy. I find myself sniffing my hair the next day - it’s truly beautiful and sexy at the same time. The exclusif is also gorgeous but not as crisp - heavier. If you are looking for more of a BR540 extrait scent, go with the exclusif. The OG is a magnificent Crispy clean girl, but warm, Mediterranean vibe. Beautiful. For context, I used to dislike it until I actually tried on my skin. I’m usually a vanilla girl. Just Give it a chance.

the ultimate fresh and cozy scent, like a freshly washed cotton shirt hung up outside to dry in the sun. it's refreshing, but not in a cold and sharp way. it's cozy, but not in a wintery sense. to me, this is best for casual wear or lazy mornings in the springtime, since it uplifts you in a way similar to the feeling you get when you smell your favorite dessert on the weekend. it is also one of my most complimented perfumes. i highly recommend this, i only wish it were cheaper!

Chose this one as my wedding perfume. I absolutely fell in love with this smell at first, always get compliments as the scent last almost a full day - leaves a stroooong sillage. BUT... I agree with some of the comments - I realised that I can use them only on special occasions since the smell is sometimes just too strong for me. I'm not that kind of person to change scents everyday, but I feel like Valaya is just too much for everyday wear, as I still do absolutely love them

I am completely obsessed with this fragrance. It was true, mad, deep love at first sniff. Valaya transported me to an ethereal world of angels sitting on clouds playing harps. It was new, yet familiar. Strong yet soft, important but not imposing. I can’t get over how much I love Valaya. It’s on its own level. It is definitely my life- long signature fragrance, the one I’ve been searching for all my life, my scent soulmate. ❤️

LOVELOVELOVE. The prettiest, girliest, cleanest fragrance I've smelled yet. It's a perfect blend of citrus, musk & soft florals. I picture a beautiful, elegant fairy prancing around under a ray of sunshine. It's so bright & uplifting, I smile every time I smell it. This was the #1 perfume on my wishlist & my husband got it for me for Christmas and I'm SO HAPPY to finally own it 🤗 Literally the perfume of my dreams 💭

Crisp and clean. Feels like a mix between Versace Eros for women and Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc: white flowers with bergamot and sharp ambroxan + creamy powdery musk like laundry detergent. Kind of basic scent - a fresh feminine deodorant, but with exceptional longevity and sillage. Very easy to wear, youthful, and office-friendly. I get nonstop compliments from my male coworkers when I wear Valaya.

i definitely did not expect to love this as much as i do. this is such a pleasant musk to me. the sillage and performance are amazing, and the more i wear it the more i understand the overwhelming positivity that i’ve seen regarding this one. i’m not a huge fan of many of the parfums de marly scents that i’ve tried, but this one nearly makes up for all of the others that i haven’t meshed with

I waited so long to try this even though the notes were right up my alley. The main reason is because everyone says it smells the same as Fleur Narcotique and to me that one was just meh. So glad I finally tried it! This has similarities to Fleur Narcotique but is definitely not the same. It’s more of a clean girl citrus version whereas Fleur is more so just rich girl florals.

This is an absolute masterpiece. I can’t even begin to describe how this perfume makes me feel. It’s clean, soft and musky but also has this tartness and beautiful floral notes from the orange blossom. I find this lasts a very long time for me, and can easily be oversprayed. But I literally cannot get enough of the scent - it is as close to heaven as it could possibly get.

It is honestly one of the most angelic perfumes in existence. Opens with rather sharp clean citrus but then settles to peach and finally musk. To me, the aldehyde notes definitely gives more of a frosty air vibe than a warm air vibe--like if the moon goddess Selene is resting on a fresh powder of snow, or the happy memories when you make snow angels.

This is absolutely not my kind of fragrance but I got it in an advent calendar and was surprised to adore it. It’s a very clean cottony scent for me, but that doesn’t mean that it’s weak. It goes on for hours. However, it’s way overpriced for what it is. I have opted for the Verset Valeria dupe - smells pretty much the same for a tenth of the price.

My new signature scent! Very clean, fresh, citrusy that lasts very long on me (I put in on in the morning and after work I can still smell it). I receive so many compliments. It’s expensive, but I think it’s worth it. My favourite from PDM and I prefer this over the Valaya Exclusive. And it’s made by my favourite perfumer Quentin Bisch.

Fresh & addictive orange blossom fragrance with a touch of Quentin Bisch's DNA. It got the freshness without being detergent-like. I know there are many haters of Valaya but I received so many compliments from it and I LOVE it too. I live in hot & humid city, also received compliments when traveling in Japan. Performance is enormous.

Got this in Harrods Advent Calendar. First of all. This is definitely a unisex fragrance. It’s slight aldehydes, orange blossom and musks. Along the lines of Kun Amo or Neroli Portofino. Not exactly a bottle for the country club though. Decent sillage and has a freshness about it. Office friensly especially in high summer heat.

to me, this smells clean, fresh but still sexy. i usually go for "spicy sexy" perfumes, this one's more like "floral sexy" but you can still smell some spice underneath all the flowery notes so i still like it a lot. i think it's a good fit for both day and night but not a very casual everyday scent as it can be overwhelming.

One of the best from PDM in my opinion... I can’t even explain how it makes me feel. It’s clean, soft, and musky with the most beautiful orange blossom that feels airy and feminine. It lasts so long on me, and I could easily overspray it every time. I genuinely can’t get enough it feels like heaven in a bottle.

Unbelievably lovely! Not grandmotherly in a generic way, but reminds me of my grandmother specifically; it's sweet and comforting and all-encompassing. Fresh, floral, and polished but with soft peachy, aldehydic clean-laundry fragrance coming through––and just the barest breath of shampoo or hairspray

To me, it feels like a very typical musky scent with soft white floral notes. It’s pleasant and easy to wear, but nothing really stands out or feels unique. Honestly, you can find similar fragrances out there for much less.

It took me time to love this one it wasn't a first sniff love. but after few month I love it! its clean, soapy and floral a clean woman scent. It also has the sweet nuance, it is strong and long lasting. Love it !

A divine scent and I love it when my wife wears it. To me it smells similar to Neroli Amara by VCA but a bit more muskier and longer lasting. Not surprising since both of them were made by Quentin Bisch.

Extremely clean, citrusy and green. Very detergent-esque, not my usual speed. I didn’t like this at first but it grew on me. I usually layer it with something else. Beast mode projection & longevity.

This starts of SO GOOD. It's creamy, fresh, floral woods. On the dry down it smells to me exactly like Miu Miu L'eau Bleue. The akigalawood really shines with the musk towards the end (5-6 hours in).

Has quickly become one of my favourites sprayed this at duty free before going paris and 4 days later my jacket still smelt freshly sprayed!! A little expensive but i think its so worth it

It is a bright citrus and white floral blend that drys down as your skin but better at some days, but in other days its a its clean airy scent of sun-dried luxury linens

Loved it at first sniff. Clean, soapy and floral. Clean girl scent. I also have the Honey Dew which is a dupe and also strong and lost lasting but fruity. Love them!

I don't believe in the boogeyman in the sky, but this is the most *heavenly* smelling perfume i've ever encountered :,) I'd only use it for special occasions though

This was my wedding perfume. Every single person who came up on stage and gave me a hug told me how amazing I smell. It’s something I will remember forever. ❤️
