Jardins de Versailles

Too much like J'adore. The packaging is unique. The orchid flower stands quite clear at the first hour. Personally not a fan of artificial flowery-like perfume.

Jardin opens with a lovely pairing of magnolia and citrus. It's very very similar to J'adore by Dior which is very interesting because another Chateau de Versailles fragrance - Promenade a Versailles - has the exact same formula as Dior's Miss Dior Cherie. It would appear as if this fragrance line, which ought to be more prestigious and more serious in their recreation of perfumes from the time of Marie Antoinette, is turning into a dupe for other fragrances. Not this one however as only the opening is reminiscent of J'adore. Anyways I love J'adore and the magnolia opening. The rest of the fragrance is floral with jasmine, tuberose, violet, rose and orchid. None of them smell like actual floral extracts and I know that they're fantasy flowers made in a lab. But they do smell good and powdery, feminine and very sweet. This does have a Marie Antoinette vibe. The last stage of the fragrance's perform is musk patchouli and amber which are a good support for the flower notes. Elegant, expensive and beautiful. And the bottle is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a sucker for a good looking bottle. The design of the bottle is Louis the 14th as Apollo the Sun God which adorns most of the Chateau de Versailles including the front Gate. This is really nice and I'm wearing it in Paris for Fashion Week. People are already saying it smells like I'm wearing J'Adore LOL

Want it...want them all, can't wait to try!
