Anamcara

Anam Cara means "soul friend" in Gaelic. I'm not sure if it means in a romantic sense, or a deeply connected BFF, or both. This magical potion is arresting, and in a sea of little 1ml sample vials I was organizing in order to decide what to review, it grabbed me by the nose instantly. Boom--instant connection. Sister to another mister. Brother to another mother. It's a fantasticly distinctive, syrupy sweet, HUGE natural-smelling floral. As voluptuous and real as the heaving bosom of a best friend (or "soul friend") in a fit of laughter. It's as if someone took all the swirling souls of the most beloved perfumes of the 80s and put this essence in a genie bottle, then made it smell like it was composed from natural ingredients. I've smelled real orange blossom oil, and I'm guessing there is some in this perfume. This is an extroverted and lovely orange blossom and tuberose with a heavily sweet grapey nuance. Ooh, I live for the grapiness! It's unexpected and endearing, like having a conversation with someone and looking down and seeing that they have on purple sequined shoes. It's so PURPLE. I don't have a favorite color anymore because I like almost all of them, but when I was younger, it was purple. Purple everything. I wanted purple eyes and purple hair. Purple Rain was one of my favorite movies. Jack Nicholson as the Joker in his purple outfits. Kim Basinger saying "Oh I looooove purple." It's similar to the purple grape juiciness of vintage Dior Poison, but with an optimistic vibe as opposed to a vampy one (but this perfume smells nothing like Poison so don't fool yourself--more like a third cousin five times removed or something). In summary: it reminds me of my childhood and the 80s/early 90s, and always having just one friend. My "soul friend". Usually the other weird kid in mood lipstick who collected tadpoles. I do feel as if this perfume itself is a kindred spirit of mine. The only downside is that it makes me sneeze, otherwise I'd be getting a bottle and wearing it all the time. I find myself repeatedly getting out the sample and putting it on hoping that I will become immune to whatever is in it that bothers my sinuses. I suppose this quality of Anam Cara for me represents the truest test of companionship--you both might be unbearable sometimes, but that deep connection just keeps you coming back.

I am so honored to be a part of this wonderful and meaningful group effort to create “the scent of friendship” with Pissara of Parfums Dusita. Our members took part in the note selection, the mood of the perfume, and we also had a contest to choose the name and there were nearly 2000 entries. 3 members submitted “Anamcara” which means “soul friend” and it was chosen as the winner. The name of the group is Eau My Soul and the perfume is the scent of friendship so it was just perfect. The scent is a beautiful, sweet, inviting, honeyed fruity floral that is dense and lush, with an overall golden yellow and somewhat gourmand feel but it has a green aspect within it as well. It’s an extrait concentration (29%) though it’s labeled an EDP because Dusita wanted to keep it as affordable as possible. It lasts forever on my skin, a full 24 hours. There is a warm comforting feeling about it though it’s bright and somewhat fresh. It’s a very unique perfume. I can’t think of anything that smells like it though you might recognize a little Dusita DNA. Pissara made over 100 mods of this perfume until the final one was chosen. It took about a year from start to finish to create Anamcara. This has been such a special project for all of us in the group and this perfume has a really deep meaning for us. It represents the friendships we have made all over the world because of our love for perfume. We are so honored that Pissara chose to do this creation with our group. For perfume lovers it is an experience we won’t forget, and especially since it took place during a troubled time in the world. It felt like something we shared and no matter how far apart we were, we still felt together. But Anamcara is absolutely gorgeous on its own without any backstory at all. But it’s so meaningful for me I wanted to share a little more about it.

ANAMCARA A very intense and opulent sweet tuberose kickstart the fragrance with bunch of green tea leaves offering a peculiar freshness, leaving a mesmerizing initial impression as soon as we sprayed this beauty. Slowly an alluring fruity punch beats the overall floral freshness synchronising them into more of a sweet fruity floral fragrance rather than the freshie part in the beginning. Had an amazing chance to wear this beauty to a spiritual meeting couple of days ago and Iam really fascinated about how well this scent had created a more peaceful bubble around the surrounding. The white florals blended perfectly with the pooja aroma encircled around me,I felt an inner peace and devotionally uplifting one for sure.My skin chemistry works well with Anamcara,like all other Dusita fragrances.This event going to be a memorable one with my favourite scent too. Then comes my most favourite and turning point of this beauty,the most iconic play of Peach note. Peach had become one of my most favourite and fascinating note this year and Pissara had done a perfect blend with this fruity note coupling with other white florals and tea note. Its simply majestic,I would say. Now again the fresh citrus part kicks in with the Tuberose. Overall there is a twist of Jasmine and Rose smoothly mingled with the vanilla giving a butter sweet woody touch, levitating the frag into more of a powdery woody base.I find Anamcara more of a pleasing scent with excellent quality and performance. It's my best find of this year I would say!!!

Imagine both a purple gummy bear and an orange gummy bear frolicking in a white flower garden... and that’s Anamcara!! But don’t get me wrong, this is by no means an infantile or immature fragrance... on the contrary, this is an amazingly delicious very adult and quite luxurious adventure of fruits and flowers!! This perfume is what Decas and Starlight from Xerjoff couldn’t be... a perfect blend between the most amazing orange accord, alluring white florals, and creamy vanilla. The first couple of hours are quite a ride... the opening is a full blast of grape candy which evolves into a delicious tangy and sweet orange delight... and then, the flowers appear... Tuberose, Freesia and Jasmine Sambac swirl around in the gummy bear fantasyland... and just when you think the ride has come to an end the Sandalwood and the Vanilla kick in, creating a soft and alluring envelope for the whole fragrance. Summarizing, this perfume is a sweet fruity grape accord, which turns into an orange candied aroma, surrounded by a warm but still sparkly sandalwood/vanilla aura. It leans more feminine, it has sort of an elevated creamy lipsticky vibe, but layered with synthetic molecules it can be turned unisex or even manly. Can be worn in any weather, preferably in a special occasion. Projection is moderate for the first two hours and then it becomes intimate but present, longevity is around 8 hours. Simply put, this is another masterpiece by Pissara Umavijani... love it!!

Another blind buy based on rave reviews on YouTube... and I am blown away! It has been on my wish list for a whole year but i kept pushing it back to the end of the list because of the tuberose note. See, I really dislike tuberose— But I found a great deal on fragrancenet and I pulled the trigger so here we are. So glad I did! First of all, as s tuberose hater I was so glad that the tuberose here is not front and center, just in the background playing a minor supporting role so that was a YAY! The orange blossom is presented in this soft pillowy way then balanced by the juiciness of the blood orange! The scent is so bright and juicy, yet soft and gentle at the same time! It’s very feminine but not girly! Which I love! I don’t really enjoy very girly perfumes. It’s nostalgic yet brand new! I don’t think I’ve smelled anything like this before. I would get wafts of it in the air and that’s my favorite! It’s a very happy, uplifting, floral that’s never too much. I absolutely adore it! I think this might just be my holy grail of white floral perfumes!

Someone compared this scent to Baccarat Rouge. For me, it couldn't be further from it. Maybe I could appreciate poor Baccarat Rouge, if it weren't for a colleague of mine who used zara dupe instead of deodorant, but unfortunately I avoid it from afar because of that. But, to write about this perfume, this is one of the best Dusita perfumes for me, honey, orange, floral, but not too sweet. The quality is excellent here, as in the case of other Dusita perfumes. one of the longest lasting Dusita fragrances. 10/10. Later: So, having tried all the Dusita fragrances except Oudh Infiny, I think Anamcara reminds me a little of the Erawan because of the hay, and a little of floral scents like Fleur de Lalita, which is one of my much my favorite, or Melody de L'Amour, which I love, but we're still getting to know each other. In Anancara, not just these notes, and resembles of the two perfumes, but more. Orangy, sweet, but not overly sweet, a hint of hay, lovely! My really favorite is Anamcara! 😊

Pre-ordered in fall 2021 and have been waiting for warmer weather here in Chicago to really wear this. Close enough! I just love it. I get smoky jasmine tea, juicy peach (or maybe it's the blood orange, or both), along with soft earth and spicy wood in the long dry-down. Mouthwatering and bright yet a little mysterious — hard to be in a bad mood wearing this! Another commenter described Anamcara as a journey through exotic lands, and that is exactly how it makes me feel. Definitely leans "feminine," and lands just right in terms of youthfulness: Too rich to be immature, but also not particularly mature despite all the white flowers. I don't always love a lot of white flowers (except jasmine — give me all the jasmine), but perhaps it's the woods and patch that are balancing them so beautifully. And the longevity! I'm on 8 hours rn. If memory serves, Anamcara is an extrait in line with Dusita's EDP pricing. My only quibble is that La Douceur de Siam isn't as strong 😊

Anamcara is the kind of fragrance that doesn't announce itself with a big obvious opening note - it just smells expensive and rich from the first spray and leaves you trying to work out why. The tea accord is the key; it's warm and honeyed rather than green, and it gives the whole composition a depth that most fruity florals completely lack. The tuberose and apricot work together in a way that genuinely surprised me - I'm not usually a tuberose fan but the apricot softens it into something creamy and fleshy rather than heady or rubbery. Projection is genuinely impressive through the first couple of hours, and it lasted well past five hours on my skin, fading gracefully rather than just vanishing. Nothing jarring ever happens. No harsh drydown, no weird chemical pivot - just the same lovely accord from start to finish, getting softer as the hours pass.

This is so wonderful, the second Dusita that I bought a full bottle of immediately after testing. The opening reminds me a lot of 4711, which is a fragrance close to my heart since I am from Cologne. That impression fades very quickly though, and then I'm left with something very sweet, elegant and unusual. My skin chemistry really brings out the sweetness in this, I get a lot of peach. Pissara's fragrances are among the most magical that I have ever experienced. To me, they exude uniqueness and elegance, which is exactly what I want to embody. When I wear them, I feel like I am not of this world, I feel like I'm a supernatural being from a realm of light and beauty. Edit: I have decided to make this my new signature scent. I just think it's so sweet and enchanting.

This starts off as an exceptionally beautiful white floral, then dries down to baccarat rouge surprisingly fast over the next few hours. It’s a complex and somewhat unique white floral, worthy of fanfare. There’s a richness to it that’s a tad too much for me, I think it’s the “thickness” of the sweet elements (orange syrup plus synthetic sweetness). I don’t think I really pick up on the uniqueness that I would expect the tea & Vetiver notes should add. I don’t distinctly pick up the rose or tuberose, which are both usually too strong of notes for me. Its transition to baccarat is fun in the process but once it gets there I find it too flat and boring. This is perfect for the baccarat lover who wants something new and different.

Just got this in my mail. Supposed to open it on Valentine's day since it's a gift for myself (couldn't wait that long.. how can I? It's DUSITA!) Someone said this smells like My Way and it's agreeable to a certain degree! I happen to have My Way & L'Interdit, Anamcara feels like a love child (or a sister) of the two Perfumes. The warmth and depth from patchouli smells really similar to what I got from L'Interdit! Expect similar level of citrus-white floral bubblegum vibe, it's definitely there. However, Anamcara is a more grown up, green version! I do find a tinge of bitterness in the opening (though it will subdue over time). Personal rating? 8/10! Comforting, beautiful, great niche-level quality, and still easy to wear.

What a beautiful scent! It keeps growing on me. Orange fruit and orange trees, lots and lots of orange blossom, ripe peaches, very dense polleny white florals and honeyed sweetness. A nectar-like fruity floral unlike any I have ever smelt! Indeed this is warm and radiant, and very natural smelling. It’s a tiny, teeny bit animalic in the background, the way that some jasmine or honey perfumes can be, but without being indolic either. I can almost picture bees buzzing around flowers in the sun. If spring had a scent, this may be it. A small spray is enough to smell this around myself for hours.

Pissara, you are a genius to add the smokey note to this beautiful fragrance. I shrill at the thought of smelling another grape flavored, robitussin inspired orange blossom/neroli fragrance. But Anamcara is just what I needed. This is totally unisex and is meant to be enjoyed by all. Yes, I get the orange blossom and the jasmine, but the addition of the blood orange with that smokey note is EVERYTHING! The dry down is amazing and is just down right sexy!!! I had just received my FB of La Douceur de Siam and received samples of all her other fragrances. This will be my next FB from this house.

This was a full bottle worthy scent for me--it's a bit like a grown up, more sophisticated version of Armani My Way. On my skin this is primarily a syrupy, grape-vibe tuberose with juicy peach tea elements still present over 4 hours later. Without focusing too much on the individual notes, the effect is an elegant fruity floral that feels complex and well constructed. I find it unique enough to add to my collection, and sweetly beguiling--not synthetic at all. Longevity is good, and on my skin, the scent stays fairly linear. Wearing in warm Texas weather. It will be 85 degrees today.

Anamcara was an instant love for me: its sparkling top notes (I get orange blossom, petitgrain, and freesia) and the luminous fruity/floral heart make it the perfect almost-gourmand perfume for someone who usually hates modern oversweet gourmands. The woody base notes are very soft, - I'm hypersensitive to some of the ingredients which is why A LOT of new releases disappoint me at the first sniff (waving at you, Alien Goddess). I'll put it like this: if you like cheerful fruity florals, give Anamcara a chance, who knows, maybe you'll find a new friend ;)

First impression is this smells syrupy, almost like grape juice. After a few minutes this opens into a well-blended jammy designer floral that reminds me of ambroxan perfumes. It’s like a halo of hedione sweetness, chrysanthemum tea as a perfume. I sense a bit of tuberose but it's only lightly indolic; this isn't your challenging niche white floral. Really well done, if a bit conventional, and easily one of the best white floral blends I’ve tried.

I have tried the most of Dusita perfumes, and I think, this is one of the best woman perfume ever! For me it is not unisex, but feminine, orange feel, joyfully! Great! ❤️ Update: after I have tried many tuberose kind of scent, I think in the heart this fragrance a bit similar to Marfa by Memo. In Marfa there is orange flower and tuberose gives a beautiful accord together, that the accord with I found this perfume. Love both of them💜

This smells so good and different! Stands way out among all the white florals. Opens with bright zesty citrus with light floral background. Honestly makes me feel so happy! I get tea and patchouli which i loved. And the dry down is not creamy sandalwood.. zingy zesty sandalwood, makes me happy every time a get a whiff of this! Great spring summer perfume. I see myself wearing it for fall as well.

This is so beautiful. Perfectly composed and blended. There is a subtle sweetness without it being cloying or sticky. And it is unique, fresh, creamy, and woody all at once. To me, the tea notes really shine, with the orange blossom right behind it, and a very subtle peach note right behind that, all smoothed out with the sandalwood and vanilla connecting it all. Gorgeous.

Such a beautiful fragrance. I was fortunate enough to get a sample of Anamcara during its naming process. I've been wracking my brain trying to catch the scent memory this pings for me. I finally got it. A night-time Southern garden party. To my nose I get the notes of star jasmine, gardenia, and fizzy grape. The longevity is very good although it remains a skin scent.

As a lover of tuberose-centered perfumes, I could not be happier with owning a sample of this beauty. It's well blended, all the notes come together seamlessly and the result is a honeyed, golden floral scent with amazing longevity. My skin amps up the tuberose and I can smell it from top to base. Really lovely and high-quality craftmanship.

I see what some are saying about this one not being the most original. Yes, white flowers, tea, jasmine, orange blossom, etc. it feels and smells very familiar but... this is so so perfectly blended and tuned. It is truly one of the best in its category and, considering the price, it punches above its weight.

Smoky peach-forward white florals supported by a woody backbone, starts of syrupy sweet & candied. Beautiful, but definitely leaves a noticeable trail. Perfect in warm weather, definitely in the day time. Averages out to 8 hrs longevity with arms' length projection. Definitely worth sampling.

278 I adore this one and it’s the only orange blossom based white floral I’d have in my wardrobe. It’s white florals, candied orange and petals. Candied, tart, fruity, floral... It’s long lasting too for a citrus floral. Great in warm and cooler weather. 9/10-gorgeous, intense, luscious

Carefree and joyous, this is absolutely beautiful. The transition from the blood orange and tea through the melange of white florals with flecks of indole to the woods in the base, Anamcara is a journey through exotic lands, one that lingers in your memory long after the experience.

First time trying Anamcara from the Dusita Discovery Set. This is just lovely, very unisex. On my skin it is mainly white flowers, framing the tea note, which dominates from start to the base notes ... and it just lasts forever. This has been love at first sniff. FBW for me.

Blast of fruit and white floral. Top notes immediately remind me of “grape flavor” fruit gummy candy. But that eventually subsides and goes to a lovely, unique white floral. I adore orange blossom and freesia, so this is right up my alley.

This is sophistication in a bottle. White flowers in all their indolic glory. There’s also some kind of smokiness behind the sweetness of the flowers and the fruits. It’s what Memo Marfa wishes it was. Not a safe blind buy though

It's a vigorous, joyful scent - a tropical paradise fit for colorful little parots :) I can nearly hear them chit-chatting in luscious, green, leafy trees with unknown fruits growing and atmosphere of joy and laugher. Lovely.

Such a beautiful scent. To me it’s a hybrid between Replica’s Matcha Meditation and Never Ending Summer. A gorgeous blend of tea and bitter citrus. Also projects like crazy. One of my summer favorites.

Opened up orange gummy bear for me. Lovely if you like it. Then it became tea dominated scent after a while. Gotta say I love it!

On the high-quality, honeyed tea fragrance spectrum, this sits halfway between Thé Cachemire (honey) and Russian Tea (mint)

I have to start off by saying I love the artwork for Anamcara, the lovebirds are just so cute. This is a different white floral for sure, I actually smell a lot of neroli, and although it is sweet, there is a smokiness here that is very amplified on my skin. It took me some time to pinpoint the smokiness, I thought it was the sharp blood orange note, but now that I've looked at the notes again I realize that it is tea. Tea is quite prominent in this perfume. It was throwing me off because I had envisioned this to be a sweet white floral, but now if I reframe it in my mind as a tea fragrance, I like it better. (I will say that the white florals in Dusita perfumes have been going a little smoky with my skin chemistry in general, though.) This is a fruity tea perfume with a naturalistic white floral blend in the background. Because of the peach/smoky/tuberose combination it almost conjures a phantom osmanthus blend, not exactly osmanthus, but the same way osmanthus catches my nose in the air, Anamcara also does smell like some unique and intoxicating floral that you would smell walking around your neighborhood. I remember lolascents describing Anamcara that way once, and I agree, the florals in here are very realistic in that way, including the bitter smokiness. The smokiness kind of prevents this being a love for me, but something about it does make me want to keep smelling me, and I wonder if this scent will haunt my memories... Also, probably the longest lasting tea scent I have tried (one of at least), I woke up still smelling like this.

Anamcara (an Irish phrase, typically separated into two words, "anam cara", roughly translated as "soulmate" - the most unexpected use of Irish in branding since I discovered that Innisfree skincare was, in fact, Korean) is a sweet, woody white floral with an underlying smokiness. An artistic creation that is also evocative of scented candles, I can't decide whether I find this challenging or simplistic. Anamcara opens with sweet, candied fruity notes. I get peach and orange, perhaps pineapple too as it is a little bit tropical. White florals follow closely, led by lush, sweet orange blossom which underlines the candied orange that permeates this scent. There is a smoky undertone from the opening that was probably intended as a counterpoint to the sweetness, but instead just makes this scent resemble a scented candle. Lush tuberose comes to the fore as it develops, lingering alongside the smoke and candied orange notes that remain throughout. It becomes quite woody as it dries down, again very candle-like. I get some balsamic patchouli in its late stages. It becomes increasingly musky as it fades, forming a woody-musky skin scent with a hint of orange-tuberose remaining. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A unisex scent best worn in cold weather, Anamcara feels like a Margiela Replica scent, reminiscent of the likes of By the Fireplace or Jazz Club. While it is an interesting composition that is likeable overall, Anamcara doesn't manage to escape from its candle parallels for me. Nice, but far from being my olfactory soulmate. 3/5.

The opening of this is enormous, and tells you in an instant this is a Dusita perfume: Pissara Umavijani's signature could not be stronger. This has the requisite Dusita DNA, the materials feel very natural and high-quality, and your overwhelming sense is of a carefully blended collection of extremely opulent notes. It may be that the opening is even too much for some people because though I could smell the (more masculine) woody notes right away, the peach note and the bright white florals (especially the tuberose) are so intense that the whole thing seemed for me at first too feminine--too sweet and too stifling. But this is not a linear scent, and I actually prefer the quieter drydown to the brash opening. The white tea note became more evident as this dried down, and the overwhelming tuberose and the peach notes went away. this became quieter and subtler as it continued. I could imagine wearing this (and I am a guy) even despite the very girlish opening, but this would work best for someone looking for a lovely somewhat feminine-leaning spring floral. It was made with a lot of attention and thoughtfulness, as are all Dusita fragrances: it's very hard not to respect Umavijani as a real artist in full command of her craft.

Sadly, I grew tired of Amouage "Love Tuberose" after recent reformulations changed the fragrance. I love Nishane "Tuberoza," I love Ex Nihilo "French Affair." So, Anamcara is like no other tuberose perfume I own because of the peach & orange blossom notes. I am NOT a fan of fruity notes in perfume. However, the strong opening peach notes seamlessly blend with tuberose, orange accords, some rose and tea. There's some smokiness. The backbone of this fragrance is a woody, slightly earthy, gentle green accord. There's one note in the dry-down that my nose continually catches. The note smells bright and minty; I imagine this accord is either Haitian vetiver, or Indonesian patchouli leaf. Anamcara wears a a diaphanous, ethereal, sweet, honeyed, mixed floral, tuberose-forward, peach-tea fragrance. Smells 1000% better on skin versus on a test strip. The orange-blossom is most prominent in the dry-down. Quite pretty. Not sure I would repurchase. But I'll definitely use my full bottle.

The opening was beautiful, an intense blast of orange, syrup and spices. It quickly faded to an unusual scent - peach tea juxtopised with vanilla. Sharp yet sweet. There is something odd and animalic lurking in the background, maybe geranium? It smells lovely on the skin because it warms the scent, but I can imagine it might smell off (as geranium is apt to do) in colder weather or on clothes. The dry down sits very close to the skin. It's a faint woody, almost powdery peach tea scent. I see why it might remind some people of scented candles. It's very unique, and definitely worth testing! I'm not sure if I'll get a full bottle. If only the opening lasted a bit longer. I will see if it does over the warmer months.

Anamcara smells almost identical to YSL Atlas Garden, which released two years prior. When you have an exact association it’s hard to be excited for the latest similarity. This is a sticky sweet orange blossom scent with a dash of incense in the base. When I first smelled Atlas Garden I was pretty jazzed about it but I’m not feeling that now. But if you love orange blossom and like the idea of it being sticky sweet in a jammy way with a dash of nag champa incense then you should try one of these two. For both scents longevity and sillage are moderate.

This fragrance captures the essence of tea beautifully. Most tea-based scents I’ve come across tend to rely on citrus to boost that fresh, clean feel - but Anamcara is different. It’s a soft, delicate tea scent that truly feels like the aroma of freshly brewed tea as you take a sip. It leans towards white tea or a gentle white floral tea, with a subtly sweet, airy quality that feels effortlessly pure. The soft florals blend seamlessly with the natural freshness of tea leaves, creating a scent that’s clean, comforting, and perfect for everyday wear.

Blind testing Anamcara, I smell primarily thick, dusty yellow pollen, ashy galbanum, and a sweet-animalic honey. For me it evokes those precious, high-summer days when fat, pollen-covered bumblebees buzz drowsily between flowers and life becomes slow and languorous.

Sampling right now. A heady summer floral perfume. On me it pulls strongly of jasmine and tea... yes a bit like Chinese jasmine tea with some sweet citrus. It is unique and strong but probably not my "cup of tea," ;) Regardless still think it is beautiful.

It’s a really nicely blended perfume. It’s a fresh, soft and cosy scent: fruits, florals and wood. It’s now a third Dusita sample I’ve tested so far and I have to admit I like them all.

It opens with a gorgeous tuberose mixed with peach and orange. The fruits become almost candied and even unpleasant in the dry down, most likely because of the patchouli and vetiver.

First sniff reminds me of some LUSH soap (in a good way) and dry down BR540. THAT"S AWESOME!

This smells like an over flowing ashtray with chewed bubble gum around the rim. It also smells like a harshly cleaned room, but the one doing the cleaning forgot the ashtray in the back. Or if a person wearing a fruity floral perfume was standing too close to a bonfire for too long. It’s not as disgusting as it sounds, but being a person who grew up around people that used to smoke indoors in the 90s, I just can’t. It takes me straight back to those unpleasant aromas. The base is just wayyyyy too heavy on the woody notes and they show up right away, and stay very present the entire wear time. I actually don’t understand what the perfumer was thinking/going for here? Honestly. AT LEAST remove the patchouli, OMG! The smoky vetiver (which reads as cigarette smoke here) and bone dry cedar would be MORE than enough. Not blind buy friendly in the slightest! I only got the sample vial because the box design with the cute birds looked so nice, LOL and I’m very glad I didn’t purchase a full bottle!

Surprisingly I don’t like this as much as I thought I would. I wish it wasn’t so juicy. I actually like the strange cigarette note, almost exactly like that lingering smoke smell on your fingers or clothes. My second grade teacher was a heavy smoker, and after her recess smoke breaks she would pop an orange lozenge to try to cover up the smell. Anamcara reminds me of that mixture of orange candy and cigarettes. The floral and tea notes don’t come through for me, but the juicy orange candy stays strong for about 4-5 hours. Definitely a must-try for those who like syrupy, fruity perfumes.

This is a very interesting scent. The opening was very offputting, sweet and artificial, but once it'd had enough time to disperse and dry down it became something very nice. I get citrus blossoms- that particular grape-y scent- and something musky and smokey closer to my skin, probably the patchouli. Definitely a mature, more feminine fragrance. Go easy on spraying this one, I feel like this could very quickly become suffocating!

At first I loved it. I purchased a decant and then went full bottle. It’s an elevated sweet, floral scent, perfect for special occasions. Then my daughter told me it smells like smoke to her and from that moment on I can’t not smell “smoke” I think it’s the vetiver but as a former smoker it makes me uncomfortable and I haven’t sprayed more than 5-6 times. Happy to trade for another similar niche fragrance.
