La Douceur De Siam by Pissara Umavijani is the fifth fragrance from her Parfums Dusita house, which is nothing short of brilliant and very masterfully done. I have been raving endlessly about this house for months and with good reason, Pissara has a wonderfully thoughtful nose, and has a way of making her fragrances have a vintage feel, yet have a modern edge. This fragrance is a tropical flower, creamy, a touch sweet and spicy beauty, in particular I love the clove note in this, even though it's soft, it gives the fragrance a nice bite and puts it over the top for me. An infinite color of midnight blue, a tropical flower that lies silently by the light of the glowing moon, the rush of natures tide that brings me inner peace and tranquility. A subtle embrace as I'm floating above the distant sea of melody, this innocent beauty, a rebirth of purity, a tearful cleansing that takes me through warm tropical serenity. A sea of pale white sand, palm trees swaying off in the distance, a colorful sunset that's full of dreams and precious memories, a feeling of spirituality and graceful beauty. A place of sanctuary and warm hues of pink and blue, a paradise of musical rhythm and divine scenery, a magical moment of magnificence, love and solitude J.Sagona (2016) I get a brilliant, heady, white floral nuanced, with a touch of citrus frangipani, that intertwines with a tropical fruit tinged, exotic, ylang, ylang, and a milky, rich, slightly green sandalwood. Then a dusted, warm, tangy, budding, aromatic clove, brightens a touch powdery, mildly sweet, natural smelling vanilla, and a vanilla nuanced, resinous, comforting amber. I get the Frangipani, Ylang-Ylang, Sandalwood, Amber, Vanilla and Cloves. it opens up with a bright, fizzy, frangipani, and a sweet, narcotic ylang-ylang. the frangipani and ylang-ylang are strong. After thirty minutes the frangipani dissipates, the ylang-ylang softens, in comes a warm, creamy sandalwood, and a woody, spicy clove, the sandalwood is strong, the clove is soft. After five hours the ylang-ylang and clove dissipate, the sandalwood softens, in comes a silky, dry vanilla, and a warm, resinous amber, the vanilla and amber are mild. La Douceur De Siam is a very bright, soft, sultry, sensual, yellow and white floral, thick, rich, citric nuances, unisex, it leans more feminine Oriental Floral fragrance. This would be beautiful in the Spring and Summer, I get average projection and good longevity, what else can I say other than it's a gorgeous magnum opus, 5/5 Stars. How are reviewers calling this one "Delicate"? I mean, one spray is leaving a scent trail. This is a beast, a mysterious goddess scent with a gutsy, rose-dominant elegance. She sweet, but strong, and it's an incredibly beguiling, complex scent that's a bit tough to pinpoint. I get rose, amber, some sharp beastly florals that lean toward sweetness and spices. I think many would dub this a sort of mesmerizing, femme fatale vibe, rich in spices and rose/amber, but also leaning sweet and vanilla. She's a queen, and perhaps something I would expect from the house of Amouage, not Dusita. One spray and I'm feeling the cinnamon and spiced rose, but honestly, this is sweeter and more approachable than say, Crimson Rocks by Amouage. More innocent, somehow. Wow. I blind bought this one, and I'm not sorry at all. I like the dark rose vibes, but without the resinous base notes that so often make a scent like this only appropriate at night or in winter. This is a bit lighter, with crazy projection--a sharp, rose and spices vanilla. Wow--she's gorgeous. Update: I could smell this on my skin at the gym THE NEXT MORNING. Has a middle eastern sensibility...strong and long lasting. Spray with caution. I'm puzzled why so many reviews say this is "light". I'm spraying from a full bottle. Maybe some of your samples are watered down? Update 2: I think this fragrance is VERY temperature dependent, impacting overall projection and sillage. I'm in south Texas, so the "beast" mode I experienced was on a warmer day, perhaps 80 degrees. On a cooler day, I sprayed 3 times and felt projection was mild to moderate. Because it doesn't have heavy-hitting base notes, it's just a bit more transitory. Hope this helps anyone deciding.

💐Very well blended flower bouquet Mostly roses with sweet, rich and warm exotic, tropical flowers (Champaca, Frangipani, Ylang-Ylang). The rose is just dominating so much that the experience of the other flowers which I was so interested in this blend don’t shine enough. I was expecting a little bit more uniqueness with Dusita dna but I don’t find it on my skin. On the other hand this is very amazing rose with the sweetness of tropical flowers. Some people describe this “retro” or “old fashioned” style but I don’t agree. The scent is potent in the opening but settles down into sophisticated beautiful floral. The base is creamy and soft with Vanilla and Sandalwood in it but surprisingly this doesn’t change sweeter in the drydown which is good. La Douceur de Siam may be too strong in the opening for some but otherwise this is the easiest perfume which Pissara has made for sure. I find myself reaching this mostly when I don’t have time or power at all to think the weather and match my mood, clothes and scent together. One of the most worn scents during summertime! ‘A perfume of strange, nocturnal beauty, La Douceur de Siam is like walking into a Thai spice garden overhung with night-blooming flowers’ The above description so perfectly sums up my experience with this fragrance. This one is all about gorgeous exotic florals and spice. The fragrance opens with a burst of Rose de Mai, Ylang, Frangipani and Champaca on the skin. It’s worth mentioning that the Champaca Pissara has used in this is one of the best I have smelt in a fragrance. It’s rich, smooth and gives off a slight tea vibe that so perfectly captures the essence of the flower itself. After some time of the skin the fragrance reveals a spicer and sweeter side with Cinnamon, Mysore Sandalwood and Vanilla coming in to support those stunning florals. This is a fragrance that develops in several stages during its wear and you cannot help but feel happy when wearing it! For me this fragrance is transportive taking me back to carefree times spent in South East Asia and everything that is so beautifully exotic about it. Like all DUSITA fragrances the quality is second to none, and I love Pissara’s commitment to showcasing the finest raw materials. In regards to performance I get perhaps 6 hours on the skin and a moderate sillage during that time. To begin with—I LOVE THAILAND. So when I saw the word Siam in a perfume’s name, and realized the creator was actually Thai, resistance was futile. I ordered a sample, took one sniff, and an hour later, I placed my first order from Parfums Dusita. This fragrance is a masterclass in exoticism without clichés. No coconut. No plumeria overload. Instead, here’s how you bottle an exotic dream: Lesson 1: Start with the best roses, then weave in ylang-ylang, frangipani, and the queen of tropical florals—champaca. Lesson 2: Add faint hints of violet leaves for a deep, green balance, keeping the florals from becoming overwhelming. Lesson 3: Deepen it with sandalwood, vanilla, and just a whisper of clove, creating a scent that is sweet, exotic, and utterly refined. The result? Sophisticated. Ethereal. Fresh yet warm. Green yet rosy. It’s my spring evening staple, a scent that transports me straight to a park in Bangkok, where these very notes float through the air in their natural habitat. Parfums Dusita didn’t just make a perfume—they bottled a memory I didn’t know I was longing for.

Based on the reviews, I was expecting to be totally blown away. But usually reviews don't actually reflect whether or not I will like a scent at all, many times I even find them totally misleading. Well not this time! WOW. I don't know what to say about this, it's what everyone else said and more. This might be the most expertly blended perfume I've smelled yet, way better than any Roja. The individual notes don't really matter, experience this composition as a whole, like you would with, say, Shalimar. But in all honestly, to me this is even more of a masterpiece than Shalimar. I only bought a sample for novelty, I would *never* spend this much on a perfume, no perfume is that good, or so I thought. One day, a bottle of this will be mine. I'm both excited and afraid (in case I fall in love with all of these damn expensive perfumes) to try all of Dusita's offerings. Definitely a house to pay close attention to, folks! Sorry Chanel, Guerlain, Tom Ford...none of you have impressed me quite as much as Dusita.

I absolutely adore La Douceur de Siam. It is simply stunning! Unfortunately, it falls to a skin scent rather rapidly before completely vanishing on my skin. I keep testing it hoping for a different result but alas, it leaves me disappointed. This had the potential to be an absolute holy grail, but I need more performance from it. Its SO beautiful, I WANT others to smell it...I want to smell it after an hour or so... **Update** I pulled the plug and ordered a full bottle! It was just too gorgeous not to do so. I will say I get better longevity from the actual bottle opposed to the decant/sample I had. I am in love with La Douceur de Siam. The new Fleur de Lalita is also gorgeous and shares similarities to my nose with La Douceur de Siam. Douceur de Siam is a soft exotic scent where you can feel the humidity. Lalita is an exotic White Floral take. I just prefer the dry down of Douceur de Siam a bit more, so I had to have it. The Dusita house is just gorgeous as a whole.

What can I say about this wonderful perfume? And yes, this creation deserves to be called "perfume", as it certainly is a heavenly smell fit to please the gods. Where to start? La Douceur de Siam is a soft and warm floral scent, which will envelop you like a warm blanket. The fragrant flowers are underscored by what to me feels like a crackling fire made of soft cinnamon, and a base of marvelously high quality Sandalwood. To put it into one sentence: Regal flowers on a semi milky-woody bed of cinnamon laced goodness. La Douceur de Siam is all about comfort, without being a gourmand fragrance, without being dull. Like all Dusita creations, it retains a certain elegance and regal quality, which reminds you just how fantastic the ingredients are, and how skillfully they are blended. A perfume like a soft caressing voice, telling you that you're safe. A perfume like a soft blanket, making you feel comfortable. Or simply: A perfume like no other!

How pretty! And mouth watering... A floral for those who love gourmand scents? Juicy, moist, hot-house scent! Not far from where I live there is a large tropical greenhouse. Butterflies roam freely in the humid air and among the hibiscus, feeding on sugared water from small dispensers. It is simply called "The Butterfly House". Dusita smells like a day at The Butterfly House feels. The sillage and longevity could be better, I get a maximum of about 5 hours of wear time. It leaves a slight trail for the first hour or so, but mostly sits close to the skin. Edit: La Doceur de Siam blossoms beautifully in the heat of summer! Very nice. It seems to disappear after a few hours in my cold office, but when the sun hits the skin, bam, it's back baby. Edit 2: I love it more and more, which I didn't think possible. I wish there was an extrait I could spend my hard earned money on. An extrait would be unf unf unf.

It's name perfectly suits it. Warm, heady and exotic. I detect pretty much equal amounts of champaca, rose and ylang. My skin might slightly amp up the champaca. The violet leaf cuts through these three diva notes and lifts everything. There is a little Amber warmth backing the whole. More than anything this scent is about champaca, ylang and then rose. I really like it. It does transport me back to the far east. One to wear to an evening event in warm conditions. This room is quite cool and I think warmth would make it come alive more. In my minds eye I see a graceful oriental lady wearing a figure hugging dress of scarlet and gold gracefully dancing to traditional oriental music and wafts of this scent drifting across the room towards me. It really lasts a few hours but the sillage does not travel further than arm length.

This is a fantastic perfume, it really is. Opens with exotic florals but not so much so that it would alienate non floral lovers because it's inherent warmth and classic charm, just gently simmers beneath. It then becomes a sort of rose and sandalwood accord with a degree of depth, warmth, and darker intrigue, than the opening would suggest and hat tipping to it's forebears, perhaps Sheldrake's SL Santal Majescule and the ilk? This perfume is a good example of what a well rounded perfumer Pissara is, yes it has her signature floral and warm base characteristics but I think this one displays yet another way of presenting those elements. I loved wearing it today, I like it's progression, how gentle but present it is and the overall quality. Bravo!

This is the scent of walking in a palatial walled hanging garden in the high heat of summer. Pink, yellow, and orange flowers are suspended in the hazy air, sometimes sunwarmed, sometimes cooling. The rose provides that waxy cold petal feeling, while champaca & friends lend the languid, hazy sunshine. This is a study in contrast between cool, clear, and wet textures (the rose petals, the shade of the garden), and dry, hot, hazy particulate air (champaca, sandalwood). The sensuality of the tropical florals and sandalwood gets tempered by the pink rose. The contrast is one between sensuality and contemplation. La Douceur de Siam is atmospheric but suggestive of hospitality. Someone has gifted you a shared moment in this cultivated paradise.

A mind blowing flower bomb of sweet yellow florals, the champaca is here so wonderfully candied, it reminds me of overripe honeysuckle buds where droplets of natural honey is oozing out by themselves, matching with the heady sweetness of frangipanni perfectly IMO, the clove is very tamed here, not too oriental or spicy, and framed very well with precious ambers, which are again not cloying or thick but rather airy and in satin smoothness. The violet leave is not too green here, rather leathery-musky and balances out the fragrance very smart of being overly feminine. Overall a very exquisite smelling artisanal floral with a light fundament of base notes, full of character , still light enough to be worn in hot summer days as well.

Blended gorgeously with yellow florals like champaca, ylang ylang, and frangipani, this smells more tropical than any rose fragrance I've ever come across. There's a tang to something in here that makes the rose note smell even sweeter, and the entire accord has an exquisite creaminess behind it. It's so complexly structured for a floral perfume. This definitely leans to the feminine side, although I could imagine men wearing this all the same. Its very versatile and could be worn day or night in almost any season--as long as you were somewhere fancy and wanted to make an impression. This will absolutely garner compliments.

One word: Gorgeous More words: I’m usually not a rose fan, I like rose notes when they play a support role. Here rose is expertly mixed with other tropical flowers, namely ylang, frangipani and champaca. The result creates a new flower note that does not follow a typical tropical perfume path. La Doucer de Siam is not commonplace: there’s no coconut, tuberose, jasmine or the hussy of the tropical florals, tiare. La Doucer de Siam is a classy woman, she’s gentle and kind to everyone. These character attributes are combined with natural beauty. One of the most stunning rose scents I’ve sampled in recent memory.

The most beautiful rose perfume I have ever smelled. I absolutely loved the opening of this perfume, the rose was so natural and gorgeous. As it wore I could smell other florals in the background, but in the air they seemed to simply enhance the rose. The problem is that I could only smell this on myself for about 2 hours, with the 1st hour having the lovely projection. I only tried on skin, not on clothes. I’m definitely going to seek out another sample of this to play around with and hope I can increase longevity because it is so achingly beautiful to me.

I adore champaca and this scent shines the spotlight on the note front and center. Supported by the ylang ylang and frangipani making it thick and creamy but bright without being screetchy. The drydown transitions ever so slightly to the sandalwood, violet and a hint of the clove to keep it sensual but softly spicey. This is a beautiful scent for the warmer weather. A grown up girly scent. Meant for picnics and summer outdoor festivals. I also adore Anamcara, Pavillion d'Or and Moonlight in Chiangmai. Erawan is delightful too if you're keen on vanilla.

A refreshing, tart, uplifting and natural smelling rose perfume. A bit like a rosy cranberry. There is something addictive and edible in the dry down with the soft amber and spices added to the other notes and vanilla. Rose is the most prominent note. Very smooth, lovely ingredients. I really enjoy the combination of sweet amber or benzoin and zingy rose in perfumes. Edit: this has now become my favourite perfume.. it’s so beautiful. At least it has been in the spring and summer months of 2021. My bottle is already half full and I don’t overspray.

This is a very light flowery fragrance, sweet and fresh and sort of tingly, with playful surprises. It doesn't last long on my skin, but every second it does counts. I think I would call all Dusita perfumes therapeutic in a way, as they all have this uplifting quality to them, something heartwarming, something very much like being happily in love. La Douceur de Siam is for me an olfactory evocation of innocent pleasure. Sunshine in a bottle, a rich colourful bouquet of summer flowers and a tray of sweet treats underneath. Absolutely lovely.

This resembles so much of Thai garden, the name is very accurate. It was not so special to my nose initially as it is something I smell a lot growing up, but it starts growing on me as I wear it more and more. The scent works so well in tropical; no cloying, while maintained it’s sweet charming, and the scent trail is amazing. Performance wise, not very impressive. Lasts 2 hours (with 15+ sprays). I’m have a 100ml and used 1/5 of the bottle already within 2 weeks, Im already ordering a back up bottle.

This is an incredibly beautiful, delicate, unique floral perfume. At first it seems almost too ethereal, but then it warms on the skin and the cloves start to peep through, while the various elements unfurl slowly like petals of a flower, but each petal is different floral note. Absolutely wonderful. There's green, honeyed, white and yellow florals, and of course rose, probably Pissara's most playful, innocent rose, although this scent is by no means naive or immature seeming.

This is a soft refined powdery rose. Very elegant, sophisticated and feminine. It smells like the softest pink rose petals swirling around you in the gentle wind of spring. It reminds me a little bit of White Rose by Floris but less soapy and less old-fashioned. This is undoubtedly powdery but not soapy and doesn't give you that unpleasant cosmetic smell. It's like someone has spread the finest powder in air and everything is now covered in pink and white chiffon.

A caress of a day of autumn... a wonderful rose opening is granted immediately, in the heart ylang ylang champaca and leaves of violet stand to read as clouds until you get to the base notes where sandalwood gives creaminess ... a glamour trail, a fantastic parfume. Within this bottle there is romance and elegance, to be kept with the heart. It's sophisticated and makes me happy ... a dream! ♡ Sillage: 7./10 Longevity: 10./10 Scent: 9/10 Overall: 9./10

It’s an absolutely stunning rose fragrance. Opening smells like rose water that’s slightly bitter and soapy. I pick up on the cloves in the opening as well. In the dry down there is no bitterness. Its airy, delicate, soft, floral and feminine. I would say this dose smell tropical. It’s more of a humid, tropical air. It reminds me of the way the humid air smells when it mixes with the smell of tropical flowers in Thailand. Moderate to low longevity

wearing this rn and it is the most beautiful, tropical floral fragrance i’ve ever smelled. the rose is juicy and candied, yet somehow manages to still smell fresh. it smells vaguely like lychee on my skin, and it’s super feminine. it lasts forever on the skin and projects like crazy, which i love. i will def purchase a full bottle of this once my sample runs out! Dusita is quickly growing to become one of my favorite houses ever... well done.

She's beautiful and enchanting as she dances. Leaving a beautiful scent trail long after she's gone, only to leave you wanting her more. It's a love for me. LDdS is a tropical rose and on my skin I get notes of peach (even though it's not listed) along with the frangipani. The weather has been unseasonably warmer where I live and even though it's winter, I'm still wearing and enjoying it.

Feminine fluffy green rose with a hint of incense. It's transporting me to a rose garden of my Grammy where I wandered among different species and inhaled their beautiful smell. I agree with those who say it reminds some rose perfumes and lotions from the past. But rose in modern perfumery is synthetic while this one is not. It smells absolutely natural and opens the best on hot skin.

. A diaphanous veil of a fragrance, surprisingly airy for a yellow floral/rose perfume. This brings to mind a delicate mousse dessert I occaisionally make, so sheer is the feel of this beautiful fragrance. The gentle touch of cloves and the sandalwood and amber in the base keep it from floating away. A fragile beauty. Sillage is moderate, longevity very good on my skin, over 10 hours.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Dusita store in Paris and experience each perfume personally with Pissarra. Unforgettable experience! This is my new favorite perfume. Needless to say, I purchased a full bottle and visited various perfumeries around Place de Vendome. Only purchased travel sizes of Guerlain's Iris Ganache and Rose Barbare as nothing compated to La Douceur de Siam!

This perfume in stunning and I can't believe I was about to swap my bottle but thank God I postponed the deal! I have many rose perfumes but none has that elegant and at the same time romantic feel to it! I believe winter works best with this juice, please don't rush yourself to figure this perfume out, give it some time, because it might give you the wrong impression at first!

I'm a female but as I were a guy I'd fall in love with any relatively cute girl wearing this one. It is beautiful, soft, charming, tropical, delicate. This is what you would expect from the notes, a tropical rose fragrance. It might be another rose scent but this is the first tropical rose I've smelled. On my to-buy list. Ok, no I already bought it lol. It's way too beautiful.

Pissara Umavajini is a superb parfumeur--her perfumes are always so expertly blended. This one is a light rose with lots of lovely tropical flowers like champaca and ylang-ylang. Although it's very feminine, it's not overpowering or sickly-sweet--its ability to convey its effects subtly is what makes it remarkable. This would make a great choice for a vacation somewhere hot.

To me, this is a champaca forward fragrance rather than a rose forward fragrance. The champaca is so beautifully put forward here whereas the rose is about a step back and in the supporting role. Nice and very likable. Edit. After about ten-fifteen minutes the rose became more prominent and lovelier. Lasted a bit over 12 hrs but the last few were skin scent.

This is a beautiful sweet floral perfume. Rose petals mixed with tropical flowers create a dreamy scent trail! This scent is giving enough to be noticed and enjoyed, but not too much that it will bring a headache or need to be scrubbed off. I love love floral perfumes, and this is different from anything else I have. Gorgeous for Spring and Summer.

Amazingly fresh champaca and ylang ylang perfume. Rose de mai is so gentle and light. This facet, made green by violet leaf, stays closer to the skin. The champaca and ylang ylang add a picanté effect and are the most prominant sillage notes supported by an evisceral sandalwood amber. Beautiful and wearable.

It was a blind buy and I don't regret it. It is beautiful, well-blended with very "realistic" notes. It is not offensive. I love the spices, the flowers ( I usually don't like ylang-ylang, but here it is beautiful), the bottle and the packaging are stunning. I just wished it would last longer.

Sweet, delicious, addictive and sophisticated... Yet, the scent is so round, so well-blended. To the point where I don't think we need to pick out the notes in here at all. Such a breathtaking scent...spiritually uplifting. Thank God it exists! Very unisex to my nose.

Pissara Umavijani certainly has a way with florals. This is a tropical floral fantasia to die for. La Douceur de Siam is a creamy, spicy, heady floral custard that i could eat with a spoon. Perfumes Dusita is quickly becoming my favorite house ever.

For the first few minutes it is a sour floral type of scent but after a while, all I get is rose, rose and more rose. It is beautiful and definitely worth to try. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10

Wow, I haven’t been to Thailand in over 30 years, some memories have faded but as soon I smelled this scent my brain quickly registered. I’m so happy to have this scent, It’s beautiful.

This has to be my Favorite from 5 Dusita fragrances I tried. Very pretty rose. Although this is probably the only one I genuinely enjoyed. This is a very pretty slightly soapy rose.

There certainly are glowing reviews, and this is a house I quite like, but de Siam left me underwhelmed. It opens with a lovely May Rose—in fact, if roses are your thing, you may want to try this, because it’s a light, spicy fragrant rose however subtle, and falls to a skin scent quickly. Violet quickly follows the receding rose, making this a sour-sweet tart scent. Other notes listed such as the champaca, frangipani, or the ylang are very subtle indeed, virtually undetectable. My chief complaints of the scent for me is that the scent has poor longevity (a problem I suffer with this house in general)—or, I’m anosmic within minutes (that’s always a possibility), and the silage is really, really low. To me this is mostly a “rose soliflore scent.” Obviously the reviewers below are picking up all kinds of wonderful—but for the money, I’d rather bank it somewhere else. When I think of Siam, of Thailand—this is not what comes to mind. Oddly, Kenzo Jungle is more Siam to me. While I can appreciate the “misty sheerness”—the light watery quality, the breezy gentle floral aspect to the image of Siam, it’s a lively, spicy warmth that truly recalls it for me (hence more Kenzo Jungle). There are other scents from this line that I can appreciate more. I will happily use my juice up—but this one isn’t what I crave.

This is a warm, spicy, pinky-golden floral for me. (Some other reviewers get “fruitiness” but I don’t.) It starts off as primarily rose and cinnamon, and later I get more and more of an “aura” of rich golden flowers around it, probably the frangipani, champaka, ylang-ylang, and vanilla and amber, though I can’t distinguish them as separate notes. There’s subtle sweetness here, but it’s not overwhelming or syrupy. I can’t feel the green notes at all, just glowing warm flowers and spice and sandalwood. My skin tends to bring out the animalic notes in perfume, and this is no exception. An hour in I’m starting to get a bit of stank which I would guess is the ambergris. People describe ambergris in a lot of disparate ways – “caramel”, “salty”, “mossy”, “marine”, “earthy”, “musky,” etc. For me, the note I’m getting is subtle, “golden-brown”, and a bit like sweat. It’s pleasantly, interestingly funky, in the same kind of way that “stinky” cheeses and fermented pickles are. But, of course, I don’t literally smell like sweat, kimchi, or Stilton; at 3 hours in, the smell is almost gone and it’s mostly amber, sandalwood, and a tiny touch of funkiness. I think I like this. It’s the most restrained and subtle I’ve yet seen a fragrance in the “resinous/spicy floral” category.

Smelling this again I stand by my old review. It's nice but the plumeria combined with the rose gives me a bit of a headache. I will have to be cautious with this one. I keep trying to make friends with plumeria and it just isn't happening! Maybe if I take Tylenol when I wear it .. it is pretty, reminds me of Hawaii but I got a headache being around plumeria trees as well when we were there on our honeymoon 35 years ago. I will do 2 sprays... No more when I wear it instead of several like I did the first time I sampled it. The decant will last forever that way ... Edit: I've been smelling this everyday to get myself acclimated towards it to wear it. I'm pretty much ok with it now. Do I think it's FB worthy? No, my favorite of hers continues to be Rosarine which I do own in a FB. The more I smell this perfume the more I'm bored by it .. it just has a screechy quality that smells strange but boring at the same time. It ends up where it began when I first tested it 4 years ago, a "meh". Giving my decant away. Rosarine is the only Dusita I will ever own. Splendris is nice but has longevity and performance issues. Rosarine lasts and smells like roses, the only one for me in this collection.

La Douceur de Siam is a light, aquatic floriental that feels like a designer scent from the noughties, but slightly elevated. Sweet and slightly tropical with a woody-amber drydown, it is nothing unusual, but is nicely composed, and is one of the most crowdpleasing perfumes from Dusita. LDS opens with sweet, aquatic peony, segueing to a light, rosewater-like rose note. Dewy and sheer, it manages to not wear thin while remaining lightweight. There is a nice violet leaf note, adding a green undertone to the florals. As it develops, the sweetly tropical florals creep in, complementing the dewy rose, but are much more muted than I expected. Slightly fruity and with a hint of spice, the white/yellow florals make for a nice addition, but are watery and very much in the background. As it dries down, vanilla adds sweetness and dry woody notes complement the florals nicely. It becomes slightly musky, fading to a musky-vanilla skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A feminine warm weather scent, LDS is pretty, good quality and nicely put-together, but is somewhat unexciting. Not FBW for me, but decent and likeable overall. 3/5.
