Le Sillage Blanc

This is "white Bandit". And I'm in pure heaven. Le Sillage Blanc is the brighter alter ego of Bandit. Where Bandit goes dark, Le Sillage Blanc brings light. You know how on film what is dark becomes white? That is how I see Pissara's interpretation of Bandit in Le Sillage Blanc. It's more airy, more sparkling, more ethereal, more modern, but make no mistake, the Bandit is there. The greens are just fresher and the entire feel is different, but it's like the greatest flanker of Bandit you could imagine. Le Sillage Blanc is like Bandit in a different mood. Imagine Bandit as a dark, stormy forest, Le Sillage Blanc is like the light and sun peeping in between the branches. The green lush forest is still there, but with a glimmer of sparkling brightness and joy. It's like Bandit on Prozac. There are elements of Cabochard and Azuree, among other classic green chypres, but I find it most closely related to vintage Bandit (yellow box) but masterfully reworked into a modern, fresher, lighter (and more crowd pleasing) version. This is my favorite category of fragrance and I have a new one to add to my favorite list. This is gorgeous and I'm so excited that the classic chypre is being reintroduced to possibly a new audience via Dusita. If you love the chypres it is being compared to, you will fall in love with Le Sillage Blanc. It's one of the nicest green chypres I have ever smelled. I have anticipated trying Le Sillage Blanc more than any fragrance in quite some time and sometimes a large build up can lead to a let down. But not in this case. It's stunning and I am beyond thrilled to see someone bringing this style back into the forefront, in a new way yet still retaining a classic, vintage feel. 10/10 for me.

Dusita is a house I've wanted to explore for a while, having read many good things. I bought a discovery set and Le Sillage Blanc is the first for me to try. It is a bitter, herbal green chypre, smoky and leathery that owes a great deal to Germaine Cellier. I recently reviewed the original Vent Vert, and the dense, green opening and mossy chypre drydown are evident here, as well as the dark, smoky leather of Bandit and Jolie Madame. Although it's not a Cellier creation, it perhaps resembles Cabochard the most, that dense, leather chypre which was also inspired by Cellier. LSB is more intense than the modern Cabochard EDT, however. The realistic green notes are comforting and restorative, as well as serving their purpose in such an avant-garde, unapologetic scent. LSB has a vibrant, grassy green opening thanks to the vegetal galbanum, enhanced to perfection with bitter herbal notes, green and damp. The artemisia is inky-dark, and there is a woody undertone, petitgrain-like, reminiscent of freshly snapped twigs. A hint of neroli adds some smooth citrus. The smoky leather accord develops slowly in the background, marrying beautifully with the bitter herbs and deep green accord. Dark and earthy, patchouli adds some dirtiness, rounding out the vintage-style oakmoss. Smoky and ashy, it is dense, but manages to be smooth despite the dryness. It becomes musky as it dries down, with ambrette used to great effect in softening this tough leather chypre as it fades. Sillage is strong and longevity is long-lasting. A unisex spring/autumn scent, LSB delivers earthy, leathery goodness, an excellent modern chypre made with top-quality ingredients. A homage to the classics. Le Sillage Vert. 4.5/5.

Oh lordy, I have been sampling dozens and dozens of fragrances in the past year and literally none of them are making it past a day's wear. That is, until Le Sillage Blanc. I purchased a sample set of Dusita's fragrances and so many of them feel/smell like flankers of others. Each day, I try a new one and wear it for a day. Today was my 5th sampling from the perfumer and I was expecting to not be particularly wowed given the prior four days of meh. Not having any awareness of what experience or sense this one was compiled of, I dove right in. After nearly 6 hours, here I am with Le Sillage Blanc floating around me and it was worth the wait. For me, this is early Summer, freshly dried hay flakes in the barn with the very unexpected sense of how riding pants smell under aching thighs after a very long and hard ride through a dirty earthy trail flanked by mature herbs and grasses that your horse persistently pulled at the reins to nip bites of throughout your ride. And yes, you can smell your frothy equine friend in the damp ankle creases of your soiled leather jodhpurs that rubbed upon his soft belly, even a smidge of the insect repellant you brushed into your gelding's coat to keep him comfy along the ride, too! But that's not a bad thing because all the notes playing together evoke pure joy of the best day in a year; bright, freshly dry, sensual and oh so satisfied! Love!!!

Yes, definitely a modern and timeless chypre. Not all chypres are easy to wear but this one is definitely one of the easier ones. The galbanum, leather and oakmoss are very evident from the start. It's pretty potent. Galbanum, leather and oakmoss are equally strong on me. Bandit is much heavier and Cabochard is far more leathery and less green. I find this much easier to wear. This is much more of a green scent with tobacco. The wormwood, crisp neroli basically bolster the verdant heart of this creation. Gradually the smoky tobacco comes through and seems to become more evident with time. The bitter aspect also becomes more evident from the wormwood. It does now remind me more of RP Bandit but not as heavy. It's more of a big green hazy cloud with tobacco and woods becoming more evident with time. I'm not sure why it's called white wake. There is a clean sort of aspect to this but the tobacco adds this soft earthy smokiness. I really like this scent. I can imagine the wealthy loving it. It's exclusive because of its price tag. It's unisex with a slight leaning to masculine and pure class in a bottle. I can easily imagine some beautiful person dressed all in Armani wearing this. In this cool room I get a moderate sillage and longevity.

Instantly applies massive dewy green that’s more creamy than brisk. Floral watermelon rind. Orange blossom and cucumber with a tasteful floral note I can’t pin down. Quite fresh despite mossy coziness. Gorgeously projects nostalgic vegetable garden. Frankly stunning, like speakers you can turn too loud without sounding bad. Not sweet, powder, bitter. Floral is so appealing, even as I guy, I can’t get enough. Shaving cream component does a lot of the heavy lifting. As someone extra turned off by soap/shampoo/powder, the fact it doesn't bother me speaks volumes. Closest I’d compare to is Dyptique’s “L'Ombre dans l'Eau” which has an impressive potency and similarly addictive floral note that may lean more rose. This is extra special and a must-own. 1ST REVIEW: Dewy, mossy, green with creamy white flowers that are almost fruity. Brisk, fresh, morning grass with effervescent oriental woody incense and mandarin orange. Exquisitely clean without being soapy. Balanced by a warm undercurrent. Tremendously calming, delicate zen while still being bright and intriguing. Combo of scents are intoxicating. Spicy and clean, without being sweet - it’s delightful! I wouldn’t hesitate to use the word “masterful.” Unique and gorgeous!

I find the opening of this perfume really difficult, not because of the obvious reasons, like the cheesey leather and harsh greenery, but because it does something I should like, but I feel the balance isn't quite right. It teeters on nausea and headache territory for me. For this reason, I can't agree that this is up there with the great leather chypres. However, after a while, I really start to enjoy the drydown. Once the screechy scratch dies down and the patchouli comes forward I really like it and the balance settles into something classy and almost vintage-feeling. Unfortunately there's still a sticking point, which is that I CRAVE some real oakmoss underneath this. Sadly, through no fault of Pissara's, it can't be there. I have a few really good vintage leather chypres that give me what I really want, so I hardly ever wear this one. But all of that aside, this is still a million times better than, say, Nicolaï's mossy leathery perfumes, and I can understand why people love it. I'm a huge fan of the brand and it's unique vision and touching personal story, and I appreciate the brand DNA. Her perfumes have their own special magic and never smell like anything else, but always smell like Dusita.

I have been in a real phase of trying classic & niche perfumes, and this is the only one I truly love love love so far—may be my new signature scent and is currently the one by which I measure all others. Open up is great. Dry as hell, grassy, spicy, menacing, slowly opening into something more inviting. Smells like what I always WANTED tomato leaf notes to smell like—this is the galbanum. Spicy green coming down into soft white floral orange blossom. Sexy. The middle notes smell like the site description: like the light on the first morning gently spreading across the earth and warming. Slightly citrus coapy from the neroli, creaminess from orange blossom floral. Intensely bitter but creamy. Slightly leather & tobacco at back of the throat. It is NOT losing the green which is unusual. Sweetens up considerably, a little soapy, but doesn't lose sharpness. Final drydown is good gentle spicy creamy juice, then smoky leather. Color: Green and white-orange, but menacing. After some time with more classic chypres including Bandit, this variation is certainly much more light, modern, not cloying or powdery at all (many chypres have heavy florals that powder up on me—not so with le Sillage Blanc!)

This is a homage to the great green chypres and, being a Galbanum junky, I knew I'd love this. Its a quintessential green-bodied perfume with a sheer raiment of neroli and orange blossom. Galbanum, Artemisia and Oakmoss create enormous character and dash, but it manages to retain an ethereal sylph-like quality. I love it. When compared to Bandit and Cabochard, though, I prefer Bandit. Cabochard is more leathery and soapy than either. Bandit is more potent and fulfilling; a deep, nuanced, complex and atmospheric green chypre compared to Le Sillage Blanc's lighter atmosphere. It's main course vs entree. I am tempted to buy this desite the fact I have large bottles of Bandit and Cabochard; Le Sillage Blanc is my favourite from Parfums Dusita, but, well, my perfume collection has filled my wardrobe. It's hard to resist the acquisitive impulse. I can be satisfied by the smell of a flower, my nose in its petals, my lungs full of it's scent... so why not one spritz of a beautiful perfume? It's a puzzle. Distillation: quintessential green sheer raiment of neroli moss embroidery

Reviewing a bottle from 2024.Le Sillage Blanc was launched in 2017. This is a bright green bitter chypre reminiscent of Bandit and Cabochard. Le Sillage Blanc opens with a burst of galbanum and artemisia. This green bitterness is like the milky alkaloid sap of a green stem or fresh poppy pod. Barely softened with light florals. All this is on a leathery ,oakmoss base.The tobacco and the clean patchouli are subtle. Ambrette softens and extends the base. This was not love at first sniff for me, even though I like green fragrances, but over multiple wears it's complexity and uniqueness has won me over. I like that Pissarra pushes the limit in the most elegant way. Quality- exceptional Unisex ( neither pretty nor masculine) Performance- excellent Fascinating high quality bitter green mossy leather fragrance- a modern almost minimalist ode to the classic bitter green Germaine Cellier creations of the past. Wonderfully green and bitter but polarizing so please sample first. 9/10

Le Sillage Blanc is a true masterpiece of perfumery! It ́s one of those perfumes that will go down in history as a classic. All ingredients are so well put together, and according to its creator Pissara Umavijani it came together by a strike of luck, I ́d say divine intervention... Her first attempt of blending it hit the mark immediately and there was no need for adjustments. It takes true talent to realize this, to know when the formula was right, even if it happened sooner than expected. Every time I have worn it Le Sillage Blanc has garnered compliments. It has immense staying power and projection and I really love the subtle use of patchouly here. With the rich amount of oakmoss it creates a base on which artemisia and galbanum can work wonders in the top. Now I ́m counting the days for the full bottles to be released for sale, I ́ll definitely be among the first in line for this gem to be a part of my collection.

I've never been much of a fan of bitter notes in perfumes until trying a sample of this--but holy moley! The dominant notes are artemisia and galbanum, which create an extremely green accord that smells like a jungle. There are bittersweet floral notes opening and amplifying it too (apparently neroli and ylang-ylang). The whole thing seems very much like something Barbara Stanwyck or Audrey Totter would wear (with an anklet, and strapped high heels) in a film noir. This was supposedly made as a tribute to the famous green chypres from mid-century crafted by Germaine Cellier, such as Jolie Madame and Bandit. I've never been able to get my hands on either of them (they're both discontinued), but I notice the note pyramid for Le Sillage Blanc is very much like that of Bandit. My recommendation would be to go easy on the trigger: even just a drop of this really projects. It's an intoxicating fragrance.

A beautiful and uplifting chypre. May be more of a fougère? It feels fresh and green and may be a reference to the classics, but is airy and in no way overbearing, dense or stuffy or worse. None of the clichés are obvious, if they're even here at all. After the invigorating opening it strikes an even balance between greens and florals and the down to earth blend that supports it. If there's tobacco or smoke or leather it's blended in to complement the overall feel of natural greens and beauty. The 'animalic', earthy or mossy aspect is entirely subtle and fits me just right. For some reason a memory pops up of the smell of patches of nettles in a riverside meadow. A very particular scent. Anyway... It's lighthearted and elegant and grabs your attention every now and then. I would say it's leaning male, but only just. Lasts all day and keeps its posture throughout. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Le Sillage Blanc opens with a bitter green blast and a touch of galbanum. It develops into a more complex herbal with wormwood and hints of leather and tobacco. LSB stays green throughout, but not a fresh, crisp green. Galbanum and woody dry grass notes meld and contrast with the bitterness to create an intense and compelling earthy aromatic. I think Le Sillage Blanc is the perfect vintage-inspired but modern take on Bandit and other leathery chypres. Several years ago I attended a workshop and had the chance to sample Le Sillage Blanc before it was in production. I could not stop smelling my wrists all day. I waited months and months for it to become available so I could get myself a bottle of this gorgeous perfume. Absolutely worth the wait. Noticeable projection but not loud. Excellent staying power. Completely unisex in my opinion. Another brilliant creation by Pissara.

This is when the name fooled me and drifted my expectations elsewhere. I was expecting something musky, powder style... but this one is nowhere near. Very interesting fragrance, and being a green fragrance lover, this one is just wonderful. On me, it started with green sap, freshly cut young woody stem. Then the herbal bitterness of galbanum creeps more and more. dry oakmoss and dried bitter herbs. i love it! i havent smelled newer perfume like this for a long long time. but it kind of reminded me of Balmain's Vent Vert where Vent Vert is lighter breeze with the citrus on top Le Sillage Blanc is thick, confident and decisive. and perhaps a long long distance cousin to Chanel No 19 for the greenery, oakmossy aspect. not blind buy safe, unless you are 110% confident you like bitter green galbanum.

I recently enjoyed some green fragrances a lot. And this one is on the top of my favorite list. When I heard the name for the first time, I thought it will be an easy musky powdery skin scent type fragrance. But the name just fooled me. This 2017 released is a green and aromatic masterpiece. Overdosed galbanum, artemisia, and oakmoss, with leather, tobacco and ambrette. The opening is very bitter green like a freshly cut petitgrain stem instead of orange blossom or neroli. I like the herbal and vegetal quality and its last from the initial spray to the dry down. It’s not a piercing type of fragrance but rather masking you. The moss isn’t outdated or overly masculine, but more to a dewy wet morning bushes from your garden. Fantastic!

First and foremost, this smells great, especially for a huge lover of Germaine Cellier's Bandit like me. They smell quite similar except Le Sillage Blanc is, to put it bluntly, a bit flat and monotonous unlike the more complex Bandit. I was going to get a full bottle but I hesitated at the price. Then one day I had the chance to smell diluted isobutyl quinoline (IBQ), the stuff responsible for that gorgeous leathery smell both in Bandit and Le Sillage Blanc. The diluted IBQ smelled almost exactly like Le Sillage Blanc. (By the way non diluted IBQ is sold at 36 GBP for 50 grams. So...) My final decision then is to just hold onto my precious bottles of Bandit.

Le Sillage Blanc is the first fragrance I've tried--and I've tried a few now--that I totally love, and that I want to smell like. It is a deep, bitter green--it makes me think of breaking a dandelion stem--but rich and rounded, not frothy or sharp. It never fails to make me feel good when I smell it. It is also the only fragrance I've yet smelled that I think is genuinely unisex. There is a sensual, bitter edge to Le Sillage Blanc that I think can be as masculine or feminine as the person owning it, but from my perspective it also responds well to being "girlied up" with an ultralight floral on top. This is one to wear with purpose.

Le Sillage Blanc is evocative, like many others from this brand. It is late summer, when the air is still and the grasses and vegetation of the fields perfume the air most strongly. It is a painting by Louis Faille of the French countryside during harvest time. Picturesque. Dry, green, and slightly blanched by the sun. It inspires contentment. This is the best example of galbanum in perfumery in my collection and a truly unique composition. Fantastic performance while managing to never be too overpowering or irritating.

Electric and sparkling. Pissara is really a talent, i am now discovering her perfumes and I was really surprised by the quality and complexity. The sillage blanc is a melancholy memory, like fallen leaves like an old house in the woods... it evokes in me all this. A complex parfume chypre where oakmoss and galbanum dominate. the neroli whispers in the distance, i also notice the leather note but not so heavy. Very nice! Sillage: 8.5/10 Longevity: 9/10 Scent: 8/10 Overall: 8./10

I wasn't sure how to feel about this at first - it's sharp, bitter, loud, in-your-face. The second time around, something clicked and I couldn't get enough of it. Unapologetically green, lush, tart with an unsweet grapefruit-type note. Classy, timeless, but not stuffy or old-fashioned. Something about it is cool, therapeutic even, but not in a mint or eucalyptus type of way. Maybe the word I'm looking for is "invigorating" - I'm reminded of the youth and liveliness of spring.

I purchased a sample of Le Sillage Blanc after seeing Rachel Syme recommend it on one of her Perfume Genie Twitter thread, and it was love at first smell for me. An utterly aspirational scent choice that makes me feel fiercer and wilder, bad bitch in a bottle energy. I wear it all the time. It's so green and ferocious. The leather note hits and lingers along with the tobacco-- a fantastic fragrance and clearly it's not for everyone, but it's definitely for me.

My love for this wasn't instant. It took me a few wears. My first experience with Dusita was with Pelagos. Pelagos is a fantastic. This is thought provoking. Beautiful composition. Bitter opening that demands your focus. But the scent emerges nicely. Great bottle, great presentation. Edit: Wearing it again two months from the initial review. The scent grows on you. The more I wear it, the more I like it. This is undeniably a great scent.

Vintage, not vintage. So good the true vintage/retro is coming back (not the synthetic jokes like Robert Piguet) but houses who know how to work with rare precious naturals and how to construct elaborate formulas which refer to times when perfume was a luxury not a duty free filler. Le Sillage is a beautiful galbanum, a bit of a diva of a material. So the floral notes and the rest of the formula serve as corps-de-ballet.

Love at first sniff. A friend sent me some samples yesterday and this is the first one I wore. On my skin Le Sillage Blanc is really about Artemisia (wormwood) and less about galbanum. I did not think leather initially either. The scent is very herbal, green and aromatic. I think spring, and cooler summer weather is the perfect time to wear it. It’s bright and light but very present. A stunning creation.

Deep, bitter and earthy. Green and leathery. For me every time it is an acrid assault upon first spray, but it quickly softens and morphs into an enjoyable and intoxicating haze of dark olive green, and every wear gets more entrancing. I'm just not sure what the name means- there is nothing Blanc about this!

The best Pissara perfume. Masterpiece. Erawan and Moonlight take the second and third place. Classic modernized grean leather IBQ chypre with amazing quality and ingredients. Galbanum lovers rejoice, green, bitter, leathery, fresh, slightly fruity/floral, mossy, it's just perfumery done well. 10/10

Bitter, deeply green leather. Crushed up stems rubbed into used saddle leather, transforming into crushed yellow flowers with the leather. Smells absolutely fantastic - you'll 100% smell the vintage chypre vibe but it doesn't smell dated at all, on the contrary it's very modern.

Having spent some time with it I think this may now be my favorite chypre scent ever, dethroning the mighty Niki de Saint Phalle. They're honestly not dissimilar from eachother - this one is kind of like if you pulled NdSP fully into the 21st century.

This feels like Bandit on a holiday somewhere in southern Italy, relaxing under blooming orange trees. It’s fantastic. I love Bandit for colder weather, but this one is an absolute gem for the warmer seasons.

Wow! A dreamy, herbal composition that is unlike any leather fragrance I’ve ever experienced. It’s dry and enveloping, like a velvet hug. Truly special and a must-have for my collection.

This smells like falling face first in a stack of hay, having a make-out session right there and smoking a cigarette afterwards. Amazing. Sunny, fresh, herbal and beautiful.

This is destined to be a classic. A crisp floral opening, heightened by artemisia and galbanum, swells into a leather chypre of pure mossy brilliance. This one is stunning.

Green, sappy, leathery, bitter scent of my heart. This is bright, ashy and a little mean; I loved it from the very first moment I sprayed it on.

Absolutely gorgeous leather and moss. Damp, soft and smooth, sweet, creamy and comforting. Truly stunning. A masterpiece.

Reminds me of Narciso Rodriguez for Him EDP just higher quality and more expensive. Very beautiful.

One of the very best classic Chypre fragrances you could ever wish to own.

Smells like the floor of a dark forest

Lean green luxury machine with the charisma to sell almost anyone on its violently verdant approach to life. Zingy, prickly, bitter, no-nonsense piles of aromatic leaves surrounded in a pretty vintage/classy-lady chypre setting. It's all very bracing - which is a bit of a surprise from Dusita, usually the house of smooth luxury understated femininity, because this one is NOT some easy ride. It's in fact pretty challenging - in a great way - as a no-compromise treatment of classic green perfumes, updated just enough to smooth out the lumpy old-fashioned seams in some of the rougher vintage ones and make this acceptable to almost anyone anywhere. Really seriously green, galbanum-heavy opens often make me flinch and the way this gets going - marrying huge sticky handfuls of that crushed-plant goo to the prickly presence of oakmoss AND notoriously acrid artemisia - is playing aromatic hardball. It feels a bit like you've just been brusquely elbowed, face first, into a freshly-clipped box hedge by a bossy 1940s dame wearing a moss-green wool twinset, who is snapping at you to hurry up and pull yourself together. But there's no need to be afraid of the herbal slapping-around, because the usual Dusita mastery does kick in rapidly - adding enough smooth, conciliatory beauty in the underneath to make even these bitter, biting greens palatable - even delicious. Don't get much effect from the leather of anything else; it's all about green, a chlorophyll cocktail, and you just need to get used to that. For me the oakmoss - peppery and pungent and almost dry as dust - is in fact the central player, which I love - but if you're not a fan, or find the note too masculine, the Sillage Blanc effect may be too strong. For my nose it's the house's most butch offering by miles - and still so impeccably done that it's more than wearable by any gender. Beautiful work and both stronger and cleverer than it looks. I got consistent oakmossy wafts emerging from skin for up to 6-7h, a lifetime for a Dusita (which are often just a real expensive way to smell nice for only half a day on me.) So this character is in fact a hidden heroine, perhaps. It may be a little prickly to be a default dumb-reach or a comfort scent, but if you want to brighten up, bristle with life and still stay smelling immaculate, this could take you there any time. Price is agonising. But it has seductive power - personally I almost-hate most of the classic green scents mentioned above (classic Cabochard or Vent Vert or Bandit turn ME green ... in the face) yet I could really consider wearing Sillage Blanc and loving it. So if you really want a classic green, classily dragged into the 21st century - I vote you should take a walk in the park (or a roll in the hedge clippings) with this one.

Chewing on dirty leafs while sitting on tattered leather couch in the jungle. Whoa, okay. It took my a while to understand what I really like about this. This is such a raw green experience while having some sophistication to it (just like CdG Laurel!). The first accord doesn't hold any punches -- The greenness here is on tipping point of "literally eating grass" but the second accord of Dustia's signature "smoothed creamy lactonic oak moass vanilla" works great to brighten things up and give it an edge. The 2nd accord isn't my favorite but I can't deny it works incredibly well here. The orange blossom with the neroli give it a soapier facet too which also cuts through how harsh it is. All of these 3 accords together make something wonderful! I've sampled a bunch from Dusita and this one is my favorite. It ticks all of my boxes: has character, doesn't cater to the smeller, is brooding but also sophisticated and is relaxing. Amazing! Give it a shot BUT tread with caution. I don't think most people catching quick whiffs will enjoy it or pick up on the nuances.

This is such a beautiful and unique fragrance. To me, it is more green than white as far as color associations go. I'm not aware of the herbal aspect but perhaps it is influencing my impressions at the subliminal level. It is a delicate but straightforward leather scent with an undercurrent of a fresh and watery sweat aspect. That sounds weird but what I imagine is an athletic teenage girl, freshly showered and reluctantly wearing white kidskin gloves in the heat. All of the Dusita fragrances I've tried have a mood and this one is quite bright and cheerful with an undercurrent of melancholy. Here the scent captures not just this girl with her charm and freshness but also a shadow of the future. This fragrance is described as a tribute to Bandit and it has the same uncompromising, unsweetened bitter green leather accord but without all the smoke and skank. This is Bandit before the war, still living in the happy innocence of her country childhood. Straightforward and truly unisex. This is beautiful work.

Le Sillage Blanc comes from the same breed as Vero's Mito. Beautifully blended, crisply bitter green, borderline herbal, a timeless classic like a Jag E in English racing green with camel leather seats. The white floral notes lend a smidgen of graceful feminity for me, like myself in the same Jag E with a white scarf looped about my hair a la Grace Kelly. Le Sillage Blanc isn't about feminine or masculine though. I can see Cary Grant wearing this too. Scents like Le Sillage Blanc make me feel that I should do them justice by reading Pushkin while enjoying them like Armagnac or brandy (insert poison of choice here to be drunk in solitude). Projection and longevity are both good. Would I purchase a bottle? Yes and no. Yes if I had the cash to splash and obviously no if I had to make a toss up with others on my want list currently. While I do enjoy Pushkin on occasion, I'm much more of a Marian Keyes or Jilly Cooper person on a regular day.

With one of my Lucky Scent orders, they put in a sample of this. My wife and I love heating Galbanum resin on our electric incense heater. The smell is like green peppers and chillies with pineapple (believe it or not). But this, while having Galbanum, also has a strong smoky, spicy smell that I don’t dig as much (it honestly smells like cumin or maybe even curry leaves). If you want a smoky, green, cumin go for it. Maybe the idea is to capture what Galbanum would smell like burned on charcoal (the old school method for heating loose resins) or something. If this seems a way off description, maybe the sample bottle was mislabeled, or maybe it just smells different to me (I used the entire sample in one go, putting it my both on my shirt and clothes...it smells this way on both). Or maybe this is how an oil of Galbanum would smell? I don’t know. But very smoky/cumin-ish to me. And it doesn’t change.

Reviewed as a Thai , I guess Ms. Pissara (Khun Ploi) wants to create this for night wearing , but I think this scent it reminded me of sitting under the Golden Shower (Cassia fistula) at Sala Thai . Opening I got Artemisia . One hour later I sniffed the milky hint of tobacco and leather. The scent overall projection is absolutely vintage but not old fashioned . It contemplates the light and darkness together . People who wear this he or she seems to be an attention seeker. เป็นน้ําหอมที่รื่นรมย์ดีค่ะ แบรนด์คนไทยทําเอง กลิ่นนี้ไปทางผู้ชายๆ ค่ะ สุขุม นุ่มลึก ผู้หญิงใช้ก็จะดูเป็นผู้ใหญ่ มีความเขียวของหญ้าแฝก และมีความเหลืองๆ เหมือนต้นราชพฤกษ์ นึกถึงพวกผู้ใหญ่ข้าราชการระดับสูงที่เขาใส่น้ําหอม ที่ทําตัวหิวแสง อยากให้คนสนใจ ฟีลนั้น กลิ่นมันเปล่งประกาย แย่งซีนดีค่ะ แล้วก็มีความนวลๆ เครื่องหนัง ดูหรูหรา คุณพลอยแกเก่งค่ะ ผสมให้ลงตัวได้ระหว่างความมืดกับความสว่าง

I shouldn't like this, but I do. I love it. The opening is such a sharp bitter green and earth. It's almost too much - but I've used up my sample in just two days, relishing each fresh spray. This is what my hands and body smell like when I've been gardening, taking cuttings of flowers, splitting plants, digging through moss and roots, dirt under my nails. It's really glorious. There's just enough musk (and amber?) and leather to keep the overwhelming green in check, but only just enough. I love that this stays primarily green, floral, herbal, and doesn't evolve into vanilla or tonka and heavy wood. I like that this stays its clean natural dirty verdant self. Note to self: Wear this in Winter when you've gotten tired of the snow and can't wait to put your hands in some dirt and pick that first Spring crocus.

Very interesting herbal fougere disguised as a green chypre. Perfumer Pissara Umavijani takes the classic 1944 chypre Bandit and breaks it down so that it retains only the green aromatic elements of it. The perfume opens with aromatic notes of artemisia, galbanum and tobacco. The brief heart is neroli, patchouli, and orange blossom. The perfume settles on a mossy powdery bed of synthetic oakmoss, musk mallow and slight leather. The unisex scent has moderate to strong sillage and good longevity. Very clever and overall a nice scent but not for everyone given its strong herbal feel. Enjoy!

There is something to be said about this style of perfumery. Big bold chypre fragrances have really fallen by the way side, so when I come across one it catches my interest. This definitely did not disappoint and if you are a fan of fragrances like Bel Ami, Bandit, and Cabochard this will be enjoyable to you, too. Bitter green notes from galbanum, oakmoss and artemisia start things off. Leather and tobacco soon follow, but are softened by ambrette and citrus white florals.

I haven’t smelled Bandit so I couldn’t compare like others have, but I’ll certainly try to after smelling this. Such an interesting fragrance. This feels like a leather, galbanum bomb at first with a touch of creaminess which I would think is the artemisia. Later the tobacco (a dry spicy one) seems to pop along with some earthy and very mossy aspects. Pretty cool, feels vintage and very bold. Unisex imho.

I got a tester of this perfume. I sprayed it on my wrist and had to sit down & pause. Probably not relevant at all, but the scent reminds me of my grandparents country side house with their flower garden. A lot of childhood memories rushed through me! Free spirited & green vibe that lingers for hours and hours. A masterpiece in it's own way!

Just recently got the sample of this, after reading so many positive reviews. On me - in a warm summer day - opens up with some intense herbs, very green, like bitter crushed greens. that last for about 30-45 minutes, and after that - almost identical to Terre d'Hermes, but like an intense version of it. Anyone else finds it similar to TdH?
