Un Jour a Biarritz

This house deserves way more recognition!! Their EspDP (marked between EDP and Extrait) are quite linear, that being said the complexity of their perfumes makes up for it. This perfume in particular is one of my favourites. I discovered this while in Paris, I happened to stumble upon this shop. I’d never heard of the brand whatsoever, but I tried several frags and they were all beautiful. I wasn’t into perfumes then like I am now but I could still recognise that this house sold good stuff. Un jour a biarritz is the scent of summer breeze as you walk along your lover dressed in a white summer dress. It smells white but not the clean sheets type of white, more of a sunny, warm white. I don’t know how else to describe this, it is beautifully crafted. It’s sweet, powdery, floral, but balanced out well. Longevity is great, linear but lasts 6+ hours. For a perfume that’s basically extrait I would’ve liked it if it lasted longer but it’s €48 for 100ml, I’m not gonna complain. Great value. Sillage is quite big so don’t overspray yourself. (though it’s not really an offensive scent) BTW you can get their perfumes directly on their website. They ship internationally, although it takes a while mine was packaged nicely and they even included several samples. Great experience, will definitely buy again.

This absolutely GORGEOUS and unique perfume I have bought in a beautiful store of Christian Louis, de parfumeur du Pays Basque on Place de Vosges in Paris. This fragrance is as enchanting as its bottle (not on the picture above). So in love with this feminine, magical vibe and the high quality of perfume art. Really a huge discovery in the modern world of perfumes where it gets hard to find something special and unique. LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

my dad brought me this as a gift from his trip to paris and it's become one of my favourite fragrances ever. <3 it reminds me of a sunny day with crisp air, dappled light, and reading a book in a secluded garden. opens cold and floral, a little vintage, and dries down to the smell of sugared almonds like another reviewer said. i love wearing this in the spring.

Fruity, powdery, woody. And peppery. The also do one just called Biarritz, which is more expensive but smells exactly the same to my uneducated nose, so I’d just buy this one. Its rather unusual, as it’s lightly powdery but stays fruity (blackcurrant) and peppery/woody for an hour, then dries into the smell of sugared almonds. Overall a lovely powdery flowery sugary iris. No Parma violet sweets here. And it’s a bargain.

I tested this perfume from a collegue who went in Paris and bought it in the store in Place de Volges. When I came into office I felt a delicious, soft fragrance, talc and cool at the same time. I love powdery scents, are my favorite genre. I was a long time looking for an inexpensive substitute for Teint de Neige, and I think I found it, and this is, however, a quality perfume

A hidden gem! I used the fragrance that comes in a glass bottle mentioned by @loves_shoes for many years for travel. It's a cool and floral woody vanilla on me, a perfect everyday scent that I can't imagine anyone truly disliking. It's one of the few fragrances I will buy again as soon as I get back to Paris as the current bottle is running out.

Rich, creamy, sweet floral with musky undertones. Very pretty and bright but lacks development. If you like it from the starts then you'll be happy because that's what you are going to smell for the next 9-10 hours.
