La Lune de Miel

This perfume is a treasure. I believe she (Maggie Mahboubian) has an Etsy store, but I bought mine at a perfume fair they had in San Francisco awhile ago, like 2013 or so. Don't worry about that raspberry heart note; to me anyway it's all rose, cumin, honey and patchouli. The bottle really draws you in. The texture of the yellow wax on your hand and rubbing the rollerball across your skin gives you a tactile feeling you'd never get with a spray. It's like the perfumer is sharing a great treasure with you, and with you alone.

This is the scent of a perfume enthusiast! The ultimate niche creation meant purely for the pleasure of oneself and one's gourmet receptors. Honey, slightly drunken honey aided by a pinch of coriander. I would even say that it's slightly reminiscent of the scent of mulled wine because of the cinnamon note. It's quite peppery, sweetened, warm and constantly luring you to sniff your wrist! The perfume is of an oily structure with a roll on applicator that is to be and rubbed in your skin. The bottle itself is dipped in a thick layer of wax - that way even by the look of it, it's clear that this is something that stands out from the traditional view of perfume!
