Love Love At Night

Some may feel offended by this comparsion, but this comes from the same 'scent family' as Dior Midnight Poison. Not saying it's a dupe, but it definitely has a similar dark berry vibe mixed with Rose and Patchouli. Tested side by side they have lot in common once they dry down, a lot, except that the slightly powdery blackberry note of this is very strong and it is sweeter, less fruity, just as La Belle de Russie, one of the best Midnight Poison dupes (which also has the cassis note). Maybe Love Love de Toi At Night could be described as a Blackberry variant of Midnight Poison. :) So if you addicted to those rosy midnight patchouli beauties and you find some place who sells this, try it, you can't go wrong, even though the longevity of 'Love Love at night' isn't as good, the ridiculously low price of this is so undeserved and it shouldn't be judged by this, the nose who created this -Fabrice Pellegrin- later created other Blackberry scents for Jo Malone, was involved in the Scandal line, Just Cavalli and some well known perfumes. I really love it.

Surprisingly pleasent opening. First of all the bottle and packaging right off the bat, love. So thoughtful, fun, and playful. Somehow one of my favorite bottles even though it looks cheap. Looks like a perfume you'd see in a cartoon or a comic book. It smells fun and playful. I smell the fruits, the floral, bergamot doesn't dominate actually could use more citrus, berry's round out all the notes. Not sure if I want to walk around smelling like this yet. Almost would be a unique clean fruit smell if not for the subtle vanilla in the afternote. Gives it this sweaty cheap vibe as vanilla tends to do. Maybe that's what's making me not wanna walk around smelling like this, as I generally don't like vanilla in my perfumes unless it's mixed in perfectly with other notes. This perfume cheapens as it dries down. I tried pairing this with a men's scent to give it some more sophistication and that helped a lot and definitely cut the vanilla. Will come back and edit if my feelings change. Edit: 20 minutes later this dries down cheap and synthetic vanilla. I guess I can't complain for the price point. Will only keep for the bottle and because it doesn't smell horrid. Sad because the opening is fun and pleasent. Closing nothing like the opening and I think we all agree the closing is what matters, since that what lingers. Shame such a cool bottle.

Surprisingly wearable, youthful, playful, the blackberry and rhubarb combined with the patchouli can come off somewhat sour but it quickly settles into a rosey-jasmine white floral bomb. It is VERY intense whenever you first spray it on, almost like it anchors itself to your skin and clothes. I also catch whiffs of it here and there throughout the day even in humid conditions. Words that come to mind when I smell this perfume: Juicy, jammy, bergamot, plummy, rosey, white floral, sour, rhubarb, patchouli, fruity, slightly green
