Soleil Invisible

Soleil Invisible is not your typical summery scent, although it's versatile enough to be worn year round. After sampling this fragrance, I knew I had to have it. The opening is a burst of pink pepper, passionfruit, lychee, and tangerine, softened by Opalene, a unique aroma molecule that adds a creamy sweetness. As it settles, notes of green cypress and earthy vetiver ground the scent, while a base of woods, vanilla, amber, and musk adds depth and sensuality. Soleil Invisible isn't heavy, but possesses a gourmand vibe that works surprisingly well in warm temperatures. This fragrance is an artistic composition, not designed to be mass-appealing, but to speak to those who appreciate its unique beauty. The latest release from Joseph Quartana and Parfums Quartana is Soleil Invisible, a bright and almost savory blend in its spicy but semi fresh blend. It counters pepper (pink, Sichuan) with fruits (passionfruit, lychee, tangerine), vetiver, woods, resins, and a touch of vanilla. It fittingly starts a bit more fiery and then becomes smoother as it dries down, though it still maintains its savory concept even after it dries down. It feels like a fitting successor to Ierofante and Forest of the Golden Dawn, with some of the fiery gasoline and air of the former and the green forest of the latter, twisted into almost deliciously spicy stew with lively ingredients. Priced at $215 for 50ml in EDP concentration, and sold through the house site and great boutiques like Perfumology, which has been my portal into Parfums Quartana. This creation is highly unique; I’ve not smelled anything quite like it, and I regard its larger category of semi-savory creations to a challenging one to pursue, so it’s really quite a feat by Joseph. I very much enjoy its spicy and resinous qualities, especially. 8 out of 10

After 10-ish minutes, Soleil quickly transforms into a sultry, spicy, yet bright and energetic scent. this fragrance doesn't lay it out on the table all at once, but evolves and unfolds into something unlike anything else on the scent market today. 🌟 Spray it on in the morning to wake up your senses with the sun, and by the evening, it will fade down closer to a delicious, delicately woodsy aroma that reminds me of campfires at screen-free wilderness retreats and my favorite indian incense. 🧡It's smoky, yet fresh. powerful, yet subtle. delicate, yet strong. This perfume is complex and definitely not for your average cologne connoisseur – I recommend Soleil Invisible to anyone who not only wants to smell captivating and unlike any other, but also experience true scent transformation and metamorphosis throughout your day. ☀️🫳✨️

Whenever my wife and I head to Portland Oregon, I usually try and make it to Fumerie Parfumerie and see what's new or revisit fragrances that have been marinating in my noggin for a while. During our latest visit, I got a chance to try a stunning new fragrance by Quartana called Soleil Invisible. When I tried this one on skin, I immediately got tangerine and spicy peppercorn, then it goes woody and warm almost like taking an nap in a dry sunlit glade, with some cypress being burnt in a campfire close by. Overall, this is warm, spicy, green and earthy. Steven (Redolessence) used a couple of words that fits this fragrance well – grounding and meditative. I love this one and I'm glad I purchased it. Thanks to Tracy for introducing me to so many wonderful fragrances during my many visits. For anyone interested in trying this one, I'd suggest trying it when it's a cooler day since the woody aspect may be a bit tough strong for some to take in especially if it's warm.

I love this house but I need to sit with this one a bit longer because I don’t think I’m getting the complete experience. I am excited about it, as It is completely unique among the offerings of this house. This is a bright cheerful tangerine citrus, surrounded by smoke. Completely light hearted and whimsical. Not masculine or feminine. The artistry here is not lost, it starts with a dark woody smoke and quickly dries down to an earthy bright tangerine. Brilliant. However, it’s gone in 30 min. I’m hoping that it experienced bottle shock in shipping ( I just got it today) so I’m going to let it sit for a bit and try it again later.

I got the complete discovery set from Parfums Quartana. This is the first one I’ve tested. It’s very woody. Literally smells like a stick from outside. But I can smell the fruitiness trying to come out. The amber is apparent too. I wouldn’t say this is spicy though. And I don’t notice the rose either. It’s mid tbh unless you love woody scents then you might love it.

Considering ambroxan is the first note that hit my nose, I’m not surprised that this is a neutral vote from me. I wish this note was used with a lighter touch, because it’s overpowering the composition. I can imagine this working on another person. Not for me.

This smells just like Orto Parisi's Terroni. It's almost so similar I thought I sprayed the wrong fragrance for a moment!

Super woody, sharp, and peppery - not a big fan.

It pains me to say this but I was let down by Soleil Invisible after such a great creation in Forest of the Golden Dream. In spite of the numerous fine LMR naturals listed, the pink pepper, the sichuan, guaiac, florals, and so forth, their nuanced beauty surely has been stifled by the great bulwark of woody ambers like the Ambertonic crystals. Their heavy handed usage ruins whatever space and dimension that could favor the intended concept. If anything, this is more a blinding light in a dark space, claustrophic and imposing, from its very opening to its last stages. I just cannot wear this again.

bought at a nice little perfume shop in berlin, i was unfamiliar with quartana. i thought i liked this so purchased. after several wearings, i find it somewhat wearying. a bit aggressive and not all that original. might be attention getting. but gave my nose hair a perm.

Hideous and absolutely nuclear. I have no idea how anyone can say this is gone in 30 minutes. It fried my nose for 9 hours before I couldn't take it anymore and had to shower. I kept thinking it would mellow out but it absolutely did not. This is the first fragrance I have owned where I absolutely could not stand it. I've had some others I generally disliked and got rid of but nothing I couldn't actually wear without it getting to me. I will say that it is obvious that Quartana is a solid house and uses quality ingredients. The oil content on this was high and as I said, the performance is astounding. I also understand that this is all highly subjective as well but I would definitely sample this before purchase, the peppers in this really stand out and do not die down at all throughout the wear. I do have some other samples from Quartana that are quite good, though.

Perhaps the sample I received had gone bad due to poor storage conditions....but I absolutely hate this fragrance. This is the worst fragrance I have even smelled. I sprayed it on a napkin while driving and I actually threw the napkin out of the car window. Maybe your experience will be better.

Ugh. Artificial chemical bomb. This might double as an insect extermination method.

I tried this in my local niche perfumery three weekends in a row. I love Forest of the Golden Dream and Ierofante. I thought I would love this. First, I love challenging and unique perfumes, but I’m not sure what this is and how this translates into anything like the description it’s representing. I’ve asked several seasoned collectors to try and all didn’t care for it. I kept trying. This is a great house and I wanted to give it a chance. They spent 8 years developing this, there has to be something to that. It kind of smells like beach sand and burned skin if I really stretch my imagination, but in the end it dried to a smoky citrus on my skin that didn’t smell appealing. On another note, it’s very well blended. It’s tough but I can detect vanilla, a dark citrus, orris, pepper. It’s very dry. Like vanilla paper. I don’t detect any ‘green’ or ‘fresh’ in this fragrance. I go to the niche perfumery every weekend and try it again hoping there’s something I’m missing, all to get the same result. I think this is going to be a pass for me.

I had no care or concern for this perfume when I got a discovery kit... but this is beautiful. I do not see sandalwood listed but my nose says otherwise. This is creamy but airy in the most wholesome way but never powdery. The first spray smells of earth and some subtle remnants of orange cream...and then it took on a whole new aspect within 5 minutes... this is such an unexpected find. Lovely

Never a let down with quartana, this is smokey, fleshy, leathery, peppery, with a almost paper note? Like a man who's been working all day and wearing a leather tobacco perfume.. musky meaty and intense, erotic
