16. may 2013 Let me just start by saying simply: i have a lot of love for this perfume! And it happened by accident! I have never heard of "Regine" and her perfumes in my life. Yes, i have stumbled upon them here on Fragrantica, but somehow neither the bottle nor the notes impresed me much to search for it. Then one day i was buying as usual in bulk and the seller had 100ml EDT (vintage!!) that has been on sale for a long time and nobody seemed to be interested in it, so i grabed it, because it was only 10 eur because i never seem to refuse on a good deal for a huge amount of perfume (now i know how lucky i am!). Didn ́t expect nothing at all, i thought it would be some old fashioned pefume of not a very good quality, since the house is not famous and perfume seemed to be not very popular. I thought it was some kind of a drugstore perfume. Oh, this happy moment when i unpacked my parcel and took out this huge bottle. Let me start by saying first,t hat the bottle is huge and in real life a very beautiful one. Honestly, i rarely admire bottles, but this one impresses me in a good way. The lid slides very smoothly up and down. That is very pleasant. But the fragrance is simply amazing! I don ́t know what happened to miniature, that user below reviewed, maybe it was refilled with something else or just gone off? My vintage juice is completly intact. And it is extremly gorgeous. I am very much surprised that the tuberose is not listed amongst the notes, i swear i can smell it in perfume. Either my nose is letting me down, or the notes are incorrect, however i checked their website and the notes listed there are the same). Very strange. Let me tell you one thing: i have a huge collection and i have a lot of heavy orientals and florals, i love florals, tuberose and i have many of those but this perfume is really perfect. The composition is very well balanced, it is sweet - yes, it is on the heavier side - yes, it has a bit of animalistic notes - yes, but all this is blended into a wonderful bouquet. It reminded me very much of another great perfume - "Moments" by P.Presley, almost the same feeling, but honestly "Regine ́s" is way much better for me. Somehow it lacks that harsh tuberose and agressive animalistic note, that is present in "Moments" in EDP and yet it is more intense than EDT of "Moments". Of course they are not the same completly, but they are definitly similar. The longevity is brilliant, up to 24hrs for EDT and has also great sillage. I do believe that this perfume is not that much enjoyable in more humid climate than here up north, and is absolutly perfect for colder days, however just today when i wasn ́t feeling well and wasn ́t in a good mood i thought i will wear it again and it was almost 20degrees Celsius outside, so at first i was afraid it won ́t work well but it did actually. But still i believe this is more suitable for autumn-winter-early spring time. I also have a 15ml bottle of pure parfum, named "structure de parfum" and it has an amazing lasting power: just one dab beghind the ears lasts for 12 hrs and it is even more deeper version of the fragrance in EDT. The juice is really the same, but more intense, more lush, a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I am really lucky to being able to experience this beauty. P.S. This fragrance is not discontinued, it is featured on their official web-site and even on " cheap smells" website (you know which one, right). Most probably it has been reformulated, maybe even ruined, i don ́t know. All i know is this perfect creation is a true gem in my collection. UPDATE: (11.september 2013) Based on the few reviews on here i guess this gem isn ́ twell known or just too outdated for the main public, but i keep on enjoying this perfume very much. You know, just recently i purchased another bottle of Cartier ́s "Panthere" in vintage parfum de toilette formula and the smell of vintage Panthere somehow reminds me of Regine ́s as well. the drydown has a lot in common. Regine ́s however is cheaper and much softer. I also get compliments for my choice of this perfume and that means people like it. Heavy floral oriental lovers should defenitly at least try this one.

I couldn't resist the very cheap price and good reviews on this one. It arrived today. The packaging is huge, and very lovely, it reminds me of a peacock. Looking at the box makes me feel cheerful and happy, it is very decorative. The bottle is pretty cool as well. The juice is old school in the best meaning of the word. It reminds me to Samsara. A bit sweeter (never gets too sweet, stays in good balance) and boozier and less woody but very similar on my skin, to my nose. Hard to believe because Samsara is such an amazing quality scent. Also hard to believe because they only share few notes. I will soon try them on my arms for a better comparison. Samsara can very well be considered a queen among fragrances, and I get the feeling this one is not called Regine without a reason. Update: With Samsara on one arm and Regine's on the other they are less similar... this is much sweeter while the other blends in my skin in a refined way. Seems their similarities cancel each other out to my nose, and the sweetness emerges from it. New update: My nose makes a real fool of me, or, rather,y the way my brain is wired. This is nothing like Samsara. However, this doesn't make it any less, they are just different, amazing scents. So, Regine's is opulent, rich, heady, like golden honey drops, with a deep animalistic, slightly smoky murmur. Today it was more animalic than its notes would suggest. Lasts for a full day.

Régine était aussi une femme d'avant garde à une époque encore hélas très codifiée. Elle était instinctive et avait un regard très pertinent sur son époque. Son parfum riche, exubérant, sensuel, capiteux et volupteux vous emmène dans le tourbillon de sa vie intense. Essayez le ! Vous vivrez une experience incroyable. De plus le flacon et l'emballage inspirés de l'Art Déco, style que l'artiste aimait beaucoup symbolisent aussi son goût pour l'élégance et le rafinemment que l'on retrouvait dans ses célèbres discothèques et son appartement parisien. C'est un des plus grands designers de l'époque qui est à l'origine du flacon qui symbolise à la fois la dance du twist et une femme toujours en mouvement. Hélas sa production est définitivement terminée mais si vous trouvez un flacon, n'hésitez pas... Je porte ce parfum depuis 1989 et je n'ai jamais autant obtenu de compliments avec un autre sillage. Il est tenace et ce n'est pourtant qu'une eau de toilette, sa magie opère toujours, c'est LE parfum de ma vie !

Eons ago, my daughter gave me a small, gorgeous bottle of this magic juice. Although I'm not really a "patch" person (except for vintage Mauboussin, which I originally blind-bought for the cute pyramid-spinner bottle), this one became an instant favourite. As this was quite strong, and had amazing staying power, it took me a while to finish this mini. Recently, I felt very nostalgic about the small life comforts I used to reach for when I felt sad and powerless about life circumstances, so I bought two of the Regine's minis on eBay (two different sellers/continents). When they finally arrived, much to my disappointment, the fragrances smelled nothing like the original bottle I had... They must have turned over time because both just smelled off, with one actually having the "cat piss" drydown while the other was more of a pure rubbing alcohol from start to finish (the colour of the juices was nearly identical, and didn't look watered down at all). This happened to me before when I found the vintage Heaven Sent original by Helena Rubinstein; it reeked... I think, this will be my lesson learned: enjoy the fragrance(s) while relatively fresh, and not decade(s) old, no matter how much you miss them.

Where East meets West or the fragrance of the Queen Bee. Dear passionata20, because of your passionate review I went for a blind buy and..put it among my favourites. What a structure with micro-layers and nuances. I felt like I live in a hive and been fed by a royal jelly. It is incredible juice, natural, dense, 24-hours lasting, with each few hours smelling more and more beautiful. Every ingredient knows it's role and impresses here, within the most natural beeswax lives deep, sweetened by raspberry Rose, it breathes out amazing type of an amber. To me it is like ancient candle-warmth of Dana Tabu meets modern medicinal amber in Gaultier 2, that creates warm, erotic sweetness. Also boozy loud start of vintage Rumba by Balenciaga. But the fact is that Regine does her own thing, this juice is so consistent and full of life - that it does not require our comparisons with any others. I Am chuffed, what a great find indeed!

I found this beauty in an antique stall while exploring on a weekend adventure with my husband. The first thing that hits me is a very animalic (almost urine) smell but it’s gone quickly so don’t let it frighten you. Then this big heady honey/beeswax fills the air. This isn’t for the light floral bubblegum scent lovers. This is old school vintage vibe for days. I’m smitten with this scent. There was a scent in the 80’s my mom wore and I cannot recall the name but this reminds me so much of that drinks and cards with friends “Southern Comfort” smell. Honey, bourbon, tobacco and just enough skank to take you back to the good ole days.

Quite lovely, especially for those who enjoy an animalic vintage style fragrance. This reminds me very much of Krizia Teatro Alla Scala with musk standing in for the civet of TAS. It is nicely done, not at all synthetic. The honey is very natural, similar to Serge Lutens Miel de Bois, not too sweet... a bit wild. Easily a third the price of a bottle of Teatro Alla Scala, so... why not give this sultry lady a whirl?

$11/bottle. Holy hell. It is really soft with no projection at all but at that price you can bathe in it. It goes on like the scent of an unlit cigarette, that sweet tobacco smell. Then, as it dried down the honey notes come forward. I don't usually like sweet, soft or gourmand but this is a YES for me on a blind buy.

Buy it again on Amazon today. The colour is too dark and smell like old perfume. So disappointed. The first one is from my friend and it's really good but the second one is a disaster. If you want to buy this don't buy on Amazon.com.

This Smells just like Vicky Tiel’s Siren. I love it!

I have a vintage sample vial. After first spray, I noticed soap. My husband a few feet away said “Oo you put on some good smells.” Probably because he noticed vanilla, his favorite. When he smelled my skin he noticed powder. And I swear I smell tuberose, not just a garden rose. On paper, I wouldn’t like this. I’m sensitive to amber. I don’t like patchouli. And I definitely don’t like animalic scents. But on my skin, this is heavenly and intriguing. I haven’t worn anything like it before. Sure I’ve worn some big 80’s fragrances, but not this. The florals here aren’t at beast mode. The amber feels like it belongs. I don’t even notice the patchouli. What I notice is a gorgeous honey and beeswax that feels like it belongs on my skin. The florals are there. The oriental spices are there. The fruit and soap and musk are there. And together they make me want to sniff my skin over and over again. What a joy to finally discover Regine’s.

For me this one smells like the interior of an expensive leather bag where a vintage perfume has been spilled long time ago. I imagine this was the smell of 80’s rich upper class women. LE: I just went through the other reviews and I wonder if we're smelling the same perfume. Can skin pH make such a huge difference, I don't know, anyway I own a vintage miniature and I cannot smell any raspberry or anything sweet, my perfume is not at all sweet, just smokey, waxy, incensey and leathery. There's a bit of honey but not the sweet synthetic stuff in nowadays perfumes, it's more like honeycomb smell after all the honey has been discarded, it's a dark natural honey smell and it's just a hint of it, not too much. White flowers are in the background. It's very vintage indeed, but it's definitely not cloying or sweet. At least, not on my skin.

Regine is quite heavy with an almost plummy aspect, which makes it very 80'ties smelling. I don’t get any raspberries here, but more dried fruits like the ones in a christmas cake soaked in sweeter booze. There is a fruity jamminess that keeps lingering. Smells old-fashioned femme, but NOT femme fatale. More like someone, who wears big and loud colourful dresses, huge chunky jewelry, boas, heavy make-up and hats. It’s a little theatrical and quite cosy. I like it.

I've been shopping for a perfume that smells similar to Krizia Teatro Alla Scala. These two are very close with my chemistry. VERY close. It must be the honeycomb, musk, rose, and patchouli, which both formulations share. Compared to the prohibitive prices for Teatro, I can still find affordable bottles of Regine's on eBay. It's less potent than Teatro, but I'll just reapply. I think I can wear it this coming spring and summer.

Love it♥️. It's an unusual smell but i like it. In the past there were perfumes made with an unique aroma. This is sweet, spicy and in the beginning i smell some mint. Projection and longtivity are moderate not strong at least one my skin which eat perfume especially amber. I would wish that it had the strength of a power bomb because i love it uniqness. Well with my big bottle i can spray away.

I bought a bottle of this perfume online because I remember it from decades ago when there was an add with a bottle in a bowl with ice cubes. I remember trying it and liking it. I am very sentimental about scents I have known for a long time. I do not remember the scent though and did not open my 100 ml bottle yet. I like keeping the expectation. I also find the bottle very beautiful.

A strange fragrance in an unusual bottle, that's R. There's supposed to be beeswax and honey but all I get at the opening is sweet tobacco. Maybe it's the reformulated version because this perfume doesn't resemble anything on the pyramid. It's not bad, but it's not what it's supposed to be. Pity, beeswax and honey are big faves. Modest sillage and lasting power. Unisex and work safe.
