Cacophony

Almost certainly a clone of Chanel Coromandel EDT Les Exclusives. Opens with a vibrant Bergamot and Neroli with a high quality rose with Patchouli humming underneath. I like that the more mature notes which are in the EDP are reduced as this is also why the discontinued Coromandel EDT is in high demand. I get a touch of white chocolate, iris and vanilla amongst the more prominent notes of Bergamot, Vetiver, Rose and Patchouli. The EDP Coromandel is too linear and mature - I think it is the Benzoin and Incense notes and that are of a previous generation and I'm not surprised that Parfums Vintage have pursued the EDT version of Coromandel.

Patchouli bomb. Strong dark sharp thick green damp patchouli. The patchouli doesnt go away. As Cacophony move to dry down the patchouli opens for the other notes to come through. First the bergamot come thru, then the florals then finally the base notes. Iris make patchouli slight powdery. The white chocolate isnt candy like. The white chocolate sweeten things but mostly give the patchouli, the florals, and olibanum the creaminess. This isn't juvenile.

I’m planning on getting Richwood soon But only smelled it via luckyscent sample & only smelled Coromandel in a Neimans once. But I I own this and it seems like the same thing It has lasting power. Initial spray & dry down seem to be the same . I have one the 1st batches that no longer are available in a 100ml so I’ll have plenty of this scent profile to last me. I haven’t read to see how people are comparing this one to those. But this is a great fragrance for anyone who is in to those at a cheaper price..& That’s if they still make this one....Impossible trying to keep up!

I like some of Parfums Vintage, but not this one. This comes off bitter almost like the citrus was turned up too much and instead it sours with the white chocolate accord. I've tried it a few times over a 6 month period. I don't have Coromandel EDT just the EDP version but the EDP blows Cacophony out of the water. My recommendation, to those looking for a substitute for the EDT, is just get the EDP. Maybe even try the Coromandel Parfum concentration. You will be a lot happier.

I've never smelled the Coromandel EDT or EDP, but this is absolutely fasntastic. This is simultaneously citrusy, sweet, subtly spicy, luxurious - it's also impressively soothing and relaxing - quite the opposite effect of it's suggestive name. It's a sweet but definitely unisex fragrance - the spiciness from the resins and the earthiness from the patch and musk ground the gourmand and floral notes with a light masculine touch.
