oh baby! When i saw Parfums Vintage were making a clone of BR540 I was like "I'm getting it asap!" and I did. I already have Interplay by aF and Casino Royale & Casino Royale Nights by Duo (the dua stuff was a notch above) but I just KNEW PV would bring the heat and they did! Yes the price is basically Designer price for Niche Scent / Quality and if you know Niche pricing you have to take this as a HUGE effing win! I spent about 120+ Shipping USD for this and i feel like it's a pretty good deal tbh. For me Parfums Vintage is probably my 3nd favorite house behind Chanel and Dior and those are 2 pretty amazing Designer houses, anything they drop I take interest in and anything PV makes i take interest in because they have a really nice way of not just "cloning" a fragrance but really giving that quality to the fragrance that (sorry to do this) ARMAF just doesn't do, I swore i wouldn't touch that trash again and I strictly deal with PV if i want something top notch (followed by DUA). Flat out this is a superb fragrance, great scent and longevity and it's crazy the quality PV puts out like literally this smells like it was a big name niche house that put it out (like MFK for example). If you are looking for quality product with honestly the most accurate cloning / inspiration of BR540 then this is literally the KING of all! Parfums Vintage is THE 'clone/inspired by' house, if they make it then you can bet its just really great quality and a step above everything else. This is tbh probably their best fragrance if i'm being as straight up as i can be. Well worth the price and if you like BR540 then you can buy a 100mL of this for 120 like i did and enjoy rocking it! Still a beast fragrance, needs 1-2 sprays and lasts 9-10 hrs with good projection and sillage. Staple to my rotation now and i'm never disappointed in the quality of PV p.s. the orange really pops in this opening (stays very juicy throughout and very beautiful) which is saying quite a bit considering orange is kind of a tough one to really do without smelling like breakfast but that orange jasmin blend in the opening is something special imo this is the PV sort of 'twist' on BR540 for anyone wondering what exactly makes this different (and imo a little more wearable during warmer climate) it's that really juicy orange

Ok, so first off I'm not one for clones, but I made an exception for this one. I had a bottle of MFK Baccarat rouge 540 edp and gave it to my son about a year ago, a few months ago he came to visit and was going out one night and he had it one and I could smell it, I was instantly filled with regret for giving it to him, long story short, I wanted the scent again but couldn't find any good deals at the time so I bought the new version of sunset in heaven and I actually think I like it more. It's just Slightly less sweet, has this very very mild orange note added, Slightly smoother and I don't seem to go as nose blind from it. It projects very well, 6ft. Has a beautiful sillage, very much the same DNA but seems to be more wearable in warm or hot weather. I put on about 6 sprays, went to the grocery store and had the lady behind the deli counter ask what I was wearing and gave a me a great compliment. It almost scared me because I didn't realize how much it was projecting off my skin. As this one heats up it really projects a beautiful scent. Possibly the orange citrus helps? I'm not sure. But I think this scent had been improved upon from PV first iterations of it. I have worn it many times now and I'm hoping they keep this version as is because I will definitely buy it again. Not many frags I buy twice. Tom ford oudwood is the only fragrance I have bought 3 bottles of and I will never be without it. This might be in that same category for me.

So I first got my hands on this through a split on one of the Facebook groups. I bought this for the mrs to try, who'd sampled BR540 in stores and really liked it. The second she put this on, she fell in love with it. I'm usually told to stop waving my hands in front of her asking her to smell all the frags I sample and buy and in this case, it was her doing the same, but she didn't need to - this thing projects! So you're probably wanting to know how it compares with BR540. Let me first start by saying that BR540 is a fantastic frag, so this has all the make up to be a winner in my eyes. The opening is the biggest difference that sets them apart with BR540 having a sweeter smell to it and slightly more rounded, whereas I get more orange and a woody note coming through with this one. Once it's dried down, the difference are less noticeable, but Sunset in Heaven just projects and smells fantastic. It didn't take long for me to start 'borrowing' this one on occasion as it really is that good. I bought her 100ml soon after for her birthday and my sister who wears BR540 straight away couldn't believe how good and how strong this is. Well worth a purchase and stands on it's own irrespective of BR540 and IMO, I prefer this one! Don't hesitate to buy or sample

I own this and Baccarat Rouge 540 from MKF and lemme tell you, if you don't have $321 then this is the way to go because I can't smell differences between the two unless I go back n forth 50 times between my arms trying to smell the SUBTLE difference. I actually think this has better sillage then BR540. Longevity is the same, the compliments are the same, how sexy and confident I feel when wearing this or BR540 is the same. It's very versatile for everyday wear, although I probably wouldn't wear this in extreme heat as it is very sugary sweet. I wear it in the office and the ladies love it, perfect for dates, definitely a scent that'll have someone thinking about you after you've left their home... If you know what I mean! ;) If you're a fan BR540 because can't afford to use it everyday as your signature scent then Sunset is your 98% match affordable alternative

The initial scent from the spray is alcoholic and sharp. I had to divert my nose and wait for the alcohol smell to dry off. Only the next most recent reviewer and I wrote about the alcohol-ness so maybe it's the recent batch that smells alcoholic (Jan 2020)? After that, it settles into a predominantly orange note. After about 30 minutes, the smell becomes lovely and well rounded and smells like Baccarat Rouge 540. At this point, I am in love with the scent and can't stop sniffing my arm. It gives me a well rounded, ethereal, and sweet vibe. FYI, I don't own Baccarat Rouge 540, but I've tried it before. TL;DR Opening note is soo alcoholic, so you know it isn't a real niche fragrance. That being said, the dry down is amazing and worth it.

Wow – this stuff is magical. I should start by pointing out that I haven’t tried BR540, so can’t compare, however based on the comparison reviews I’ve seen, this is spot on. I wasn’t expecting to like this at all as the notes aren’t ones I would typically go for. Parfums Vintage sent a couple of samples along with another fragrance I bought from the house. I tried it and was so surprised by the fragrance. The best description I read about BR540 was that it was like being in a fairy tale. Strange but at the same time, perfect – it is sweet (but not too sweet), magical, ethereal, light and bright. Performance is also amazing. Almost bored of saying this, however Parfums Vintage have knocked it out of the park, again.

I own this one and BR 540 and I really appreciate them both. To my nose BR is sweeter and I can smell the saffron clearly. In my opinion, Sunset in heaven is slightly more masculine-leaning, maybe bc it's less sweet (although they are both perfectly unisex). When wearing SiH the orange really pops on my skin in place of the saffron. They become more similar with time when the ambergris and fir resin comes out. To conclude, they are both wonderful but I find SiH more orange-zingy fresh and wearable. It’s less cloying in the warmer months too. It’s 5 out of 5.

This was the first Parfums Vintage fragrance I've tried. I ordered a sample based on a review on the Ariana Grande fragrance, Cloud. Many people have reviewed that Cloud smells a good deal like Baccarat Rouge 540, which is probably my favourite fragrance and one reviewer mentioned this PV fragrance as being a closer match to BR540. I want to love this fragrance, but I just don't. I like it, and I'd happily have it in my collection as a one-off, but I wouldn't buy it for myself. It does absolutely have a similarity to BR540, but I wouldn't say it would substitute at all, for my skin. The opening for me is very strong on menthol and kind of a Juicy Fruit smell that I don't get with BR540. I like it, but it doesn't make me feel anything. I imagine that the dry down would bring it closer to BR540 but unfortunately for me, both times I've tried it, it hasn't lasted long enough for me to enjoy it that way.

High quality fragrance that is very close to the original 540 edp. I would say this one is a little fresher and more versatile. More transparent and bubbly around you where as the original is more dense. I believe you could pull this one off in most seasons. Its a high quality clone, not a synthetic type of clone. You can tell smelling this that it isn't just a cheap reproduced fragrance but something created from the ground up. A definite viable alternative to BR540 for sure. I would say, DUA royal nights was my favorite, which is a clone of BR 540 Extrait, but I believe it is more expensive so I went with this one instead. There is also a clone from Alexandria called interplay extrait which is also very good. Those are the three fragrances I suggest people check out.

Since the only reason people buy this scent is because they want as close a clone as possible I won’t review this scent on its own. Instead I will only do a comparison. Fir is first of all amplified over the original. I thought this would be a good thing but here it comes off quite toothpaste minty rather than like sappy sticky needles. This for me is the defining difference there is. A tiny bit more orangey but the difference there is negligible. The second significant difference is the ambergris note. In the MFK the ambergris mildly sour, animalic, salty note that dominates the fragrance. In the PV it is clear the ambergris is in lesser concentration and replaced mostly by synthetic alternatives. The PV ambergris has the same texture and effect of the OG but it’s clear it doesn’t have all the facets. This one is more wearable as it has none of the animalic or sour facets of the OG as well as an added freshness so that it stops it from developing that dental/doctors office smell people describe. If however you are fascinated by the effect of high quality ambergris, it’s shape shifting nature then the PV is not a suitable replacement. That being said they are quite similar. If you want it purely so that everyone thinks you smell like BR540 then this is great. If you are the type of person to care more about how the wearer experiences the fragrance then this one is not for you- the BR540 remains intriguing, always shifting. This one once you’ve smelled it youve got the whole story. The wearing experience is a bit more superficial. And to end I just really want to emphasize That if people passed you on the street wearing the OG and the clone, even experienced noses wouldn’t tell them apart. But if you got the chance to stop them and smell them close up for a while there’s no doubt in my mind that you can tell the difference. The fir and ambergris are noticeable different.

More masculine than BR540 with a noticeable orange almost menthol note in the opening. To me, this isn't a great clone of BR540, it is more like a scent that is reminiscent of a scent you know rather than a direct copy. On it's own merit it is nice, and will give you a feel of BR540 but a viable replacement it isn't. It does get closer to BR40 so after 2 hours there is a greater similarity. I've tried Alexandria, Dua and Fatihan's clones of BR540 - forget Alexandria's which is horrendous. Dua's is good however at £2 per ml it is almost as costly as the real thing and whilst it is a good copy it doesn't quite match the quality of BR40. But it is definitely close enough that passers by would probably struggle to tell the difference. In my opinion Fatihan Perfumerie is the closest in terms of scent, quality and also outperforms the original - they have produced the best clone so far and at the price sold I would no longer buy BR40. It doesn't quite match the opening but after 10-15 mins it is virtually identical.

A Sweet Candy Vibe SOTD (Scent of the Day): Parfums Vintage Sunset in Heaven EDP: As of 02/28/19 My SOTD as of 02/28/19, I have a sample decant of this fragrance, scent surprised me to my nose has the sweet candy vibe, detecting from the ambroxan, ambergris and amber, I do detect the orange, jasmine and saffron but is faint/buried in the background. I don't own MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 to make a comparison between two, but per Frag.comm Sunset in Heaven is one of the better clone(s) or close to being similar to MFK Baccarat Rouge 540. Is an amazing scent and is bottle worthy. Well I have added on my wish list on the bottles to get from the House of Parfums Vintage the first one is Vanilla Intense and this one Sunset in Heaven. Rating Scent: 9/10 Design/Presentation: 7.5/10 Value: 7/10 Longevity/Performance: 8.5/10: 8-11 sprays: Lasted on my skin as a skin scent around 8-10+ hrs Overall: 9/10

Im here to update and amend my previous review which I wrote from a sample that was a few years old. Even so it impressed me enough to buy a full bottle. Now that I have received the full bottle it is a bit different from the sample. Everything I wrote pretty much still applies but the full bottle is even closer to BR540 than the sample. The fir minty feeling is not as intense bringing it closer to BR540. The only remaining difference now is the ambergris complexity of the original. The opening on this one is honestly terrible. Smells like plastic. But that dries down within 15mins. However I must say they are now 98% similar and BR540 is not worth it unless you get a good price on a decant. Or unless for some reason your favorite part of BR540 is the first 10 minutes.

Sample arrived,540 sample last week and wow - that is smooth stuff! Luxurious caramelized sugar,wearable but I would say 540 would most certainly be appreciated off the gf than smelling it off myself - so far sunset appears more,masculine off the top with a noticeable orange note,starting to dry down reminiscent of 540 but nowhere near as sweet and luxurious - The only thing I find with 540 is that it's a bit deceptive,you think it isn't there at all but it still lingers,but still pretty close to the skin,which for £200 a bottle is pretty damn expensive body wash... few more clones might be worth a try yet, so far tho Sunset isn't a bad effort from the house.. PVI still the crowning jewel tho,good effort

I have tried 6 Parums Vintage releases and while they have all been good to very good, Sunset In Heaven is flat out great for 3 reasons: It nails MFK's BR540. It projects better than BR540. Its longevity is better than BR540. I have several niche frags in my cabinet, but I am not a niche snob. A fragrance must smell great and perform well or I won't waste money on it. Sunset In Heaven is a definite buy standing on its own merit. The fact that it is less expensive than BR540 is bonus. *Dua's Casino Royale Nights is also a very good clone of BR540, leaning toward the Extrait version, but it is nearly the same price as Sunset In Heaven for less juice and does not have quite the same performance, IMO.

Bought my first bottle of Sunset in Heaven and loved it. Used it almost daily and finished half the 100ml bottle within 3 months. Have had so many other bottles from Parfums Vintage so when they had a promotion, I jumped at the chance to buy 2 more 100mls. I never doubted their consistency. However, the other 2 new bottles were very disappointing. There's no sweetness and they just smell different. No projection too, feels like missing ingredient compared to the first one I had.

Nice opening but then it has that wired after smell that puts me off..something that BR540 havent got after a while it becomes just like BR540 but less spicy..75ml of MFK will cost me 180 pound on MFK website..PV will cost 110 pounds for 100ml.. So I will rather save extra 70 pounds and get the real deal as there is that spiciness in it that I do enjoy..but PV is a good clone so if you would like to taste BR540 smell that would be 85% close that could be the option for you.

Simple review: scent works well for me, though the Mrs. isn't keen on it. Love that it has this sweet aura, yet you can wear it in the heat. Combo of notes creates more of an overall scent, rather than specific notes that project off my skin. The orange does create the bubble, yet there's a lot of depth, where I can get a splash of amber, and maybe some Jasmine, however the deeper notes don't hit for me. Def worth a try!

I just purchased a lot of PV samples, I've been wanting to try something other than their Aventus clones. To put it simply, to me this smells like BR540 but with an almost rubber tire or plastic smell. It's still an enjoyable fragrance, but for the price I'd rather have a decant of the real thing. Good longevity and decent sillage, 3 or 4 sprays lasts a full work day for me. I'd give this a safe 7.5 out of 10.

I cannot tell the difference in the opening between this one and baccarat rouge 540 edp. However, it develops a note that I dislike. Performance-wise is the exact same as baccarat rouge 540. It is ok but still prefer the real deal.

Unacceptable quality. I smell menthol and alcohol. Their prices are not correctly put in correlation to what you get in the bottle.
