Verbena Fields

I loved this 1 and so far this is my favorite from the Parfums Vintage House even though I also have really been enjoying Pineapple Vintage Intense as a pool scent this summer ! This opens up with a brigh,but also aromatic,smooth,green opening that’s very reminiscent of a green smelling shower gel.(But in a very pleasant way) I really like the opening but there’s also a note in the opening that slightly resembles the smell of paint. Once this dries down (Which happens at about the 10 minute mark) your left with the same smell as the opening but the scent gets more rich and dense but never gets heavy. In the drydown this is where it resembles GIT a lot more but it’s definitly a brighter more aromatic take. That aromatic nature comes from the lavender which I thought was a really nice touch ! It’s like Verbena Fields took the pleasantness from GIT and Coolwater and combined them. This is WAY nicer then Cool Water though ! This to me smells like if Creed made a body wash for GIT Performance on this is great as it lasts 8-10 hours on my skin and projects above average with only 3 sprays. This has already gotten me more compliments than GIT but to be fair lavender is a note that does very well with my skin chemistry. Overall rating—- 8.5 out of 10 ! This beats out all the GIT clones I’ve tried so far and I’ve tried all of them with the exception of Irish Gentlemen but this only a take on GIT and not a direct clone.In my opinion Emerald Isle is closer to the real GIT but I do prefer a Verbena Fields Sidenote— I tested Verbena Fields,GIT and Emerald Isle on my skin and asked my fiancées opinion and she actually chose Verbena Fields as she said it smelled like really nice soap :) Overall rating —-8.5 out of 10 !

This is such a fantastic clone. Given the inconsistencies and performance issues through the creed lines these days, I really can’t see myself shelling out money for the originals when these clones exist. I have no experience with Emerald Isle, so I can’t compre the two relative to their standing with GIT, but i can say I like this more than the original. I still have enough sprays of GIT remaining to get a few more wears out of it, but I honestly think this is the more interesting fragrance. The bergamot here is sweet and plays wonderfully with the florals, and it lends a backbone to the verbena notes. The blend here is harmonious, and the open hangs out quite a lot longer than you would expect. The ambergris here is a good bit more animalic, in my opinion, and in conjunction with the musk it has an beautiful alluring character. Blended with the powdery iris, there’s a width to this that I didn’t experience with GIT, with which I for a beautiful open but a pretty nondescript dry down. I do need to emphasize that this is a much more powdery and floral scent, and is bigger and sweeter than GIT. The soapy notes are a lot more true to nature than soap, and have a much giver presence here. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it challenging, but definitely something to be aware of.

The first fragrance I ever really fell hard for was "Tres Nuit" by "Armaf", a GIT clone. I found it amazing, especially the lemon verbena, but it just didn't last. This most definitely does. Compared to the real GIT, this clone is of the same quality except smoother in the opening. This comes at the cost of being less "brisk", but at this point it's just preference. Unfortunately, as my nose developed, "Green Irish Tweed" went from being a "top 5" of all time to a "hate" overnight. One of the chemicals smells like rotten eggs to me now, and I can't unsmell it. I still remember my love and respect for this, so although it's no longer for me, I still highly recommend it. P.S. - DM if you're interested in my bottle. I used less than 20 sprays.

I smelled the original GIT about a month or two prior to purchasing Verbena Fields. I enjoyed a sample so I got to know the fragrance. Everything I remember from it, the grass, the soapy (not Irish spring soap) vibe. This is a perfect blend, and works exactly in same situations as GIT. Performance is much better. Letting it macerate truly did seem to help. I’m going to do this with all clone houses because I’ve only had good results. Anyways this is very green, linear in the sense that it’s scent sustains and holds true to the opening. To be fair GIT is also linear. It’s gorgeous and what I would consider a 1:1 replacement for half the price. Nothing harsh. Didn’t smell Emerald Isle, but don’t have to now:)

This is one of my wife’s favorites on me, and has become one of our casual go to frags. As many have mentioned before this is a GIT clone that plays an emphasize around the lemon verbena note. The verbena is very sharp up top then softens up a bit and mixes in well with the rest of the notes to create a very fresh, green shower gel type scent that lasts a full workday on my skin with relative ease. I can see this as an excellent signature or work scent that can be rocked dressed up or down. Winter may not be the best time for this, but it is excellent in Spring, Summer and Fall.

It's you're going for a GiT clone, this is the one to pick over Emerald Isle. If you're going for a lovely springtime fragrance, this is a lovely pickup. Lemon Verbena is the strongest note (go figure), though it has a bergamot, and violet leaf accompaniment, with a light musk undertone. Grabbing testers to see what one you like is the way to go, though I find this better than Emerald Isle, and is the clear clone of GiT.

The green shower gel body wash comment hits the nail on the head. It's a very pleasant and relaxing fragrance, very green and soapy. It's heavy on lavender to my nose. This fragrance definitely projects very well and lasts around 8-9 hours on my skin. Overall a great GIT alternative and definitely more rounded and mature than something like Cool Water

My favorite take on the Creed Green Irish Tweed theme... obviously, focuses on the lemon verbana and other green/floral notes in GIT. Not really a clone; more a compliment. Love.

I am not a fan of dupe colognes, but that’s just my personal opinion. I have this because I gave away my Green Irish Tweed some years ago and I regret it to this day. I decided to go with this dupe to give it a try and it shows me why spending the money and getting the real deal is worth it. Don’t get me wrong this is 70% close to Green Irish Tweed, but it doesn’t have that DNA of Green Irish Tweed. Now I received compliments wearing Verbena Fields and the performance is pretty good on it. I tried to take the cheap way out and get this and should’ve gotten Green Irish Tweed.

Edit 2025: After 2 years of wearing this, the potency went way up to the point where it's a little too strong/concentrated. There's something really acrid about it, which might be the lavender turned up a few notches. I also agree with the above review that there's something weirdly animalic. These issues completely throw the scent off balance, making it smell less like GIT and more like Tide laundry detergent. 2023: Excellent clone of GIT. I've been looking for something cheaper since Creed is getting to be quite expensive. I'd say this is about 90% similar to GIT. The other 10% is a feeling of vibrance and sweetness from the OG. This is clean, fresh, airy, and green like the original, but with less ambergris and sandalwood. Does not project much, but lasts about 5-6 hours. I haven't tried Emerald Isle just yet. According to the Parfums Vintage website, VF is supposed to resemble the 2011 version of GIT, which I feel is very accurate as I've been wearing GIT for the past 10 or so years. EI is apparently closer to the 2014 version.

Got this in the other day and so far it's a no from me I think. I don't own GIT but I do have a vial of Alexandria's Irish Gentleman so I might do a comparison to that one here instead (for those looking for a GIT alternative). Both are quite different imo with the main differences being that Irish Gentleman has a bit more of a sweetness to it which I think will make it more wearable and mass appealing. Verbena fields has this surprisingly animalic musky undertone underneath the the grassy greenness that I wasn't expecting and I don't know whether I'm enjoying it not. I went for Verbena fields mostly because I have two Alexandria fragrances already and Verbena Fields has a slightly different bottle but juice wise I much prefer Alex's one and the longevity on Irish Gentleman is crazy, one of the best performing in my collection for sure

Hey guys n girls, I'm not going to go into massive detail about the notes breakdown in this fragrance as I think are are all aware of the similarities to GIT. Instead I'm just going to review my own personal experience. Having purchased a number of fragrances from Parfums Vintage I was keen to see what their offerings were like in the forms of 'Emerald Isle' and 'verbena Fields' I myself love GIT but struggled with the longevity having only got a few hours of performance before it disappear into the ether. I chose to go with 'Verbena Fields' and I am really happy with my selection. It lasts longer than GIT, perfoms better than GIT and got me more performance than GIT. At over half the price it was a win win! I really rate Parfums Vintage fragrances so if you are not a Creed snob and want to procure a great product that performs, please check them out. HS75

It was reformulated - not sure when. Bought a recent bottle 04/2026 , from a friend. Compared to 2018 formula , the transition /evolution of notes is gone. This smells like a cheap Lemon Verbena Essential Oil for home air freshener misting machine. The 2018 version had a soapier and more Expensive Quality smell to it , and the dry down (had) a creamy lighty sweet-ish Sandal Wood & Ambergris aroma. But yea , the Quality is gone.

One of the best of the current Parfums Vintage lineup. Very nice Lemon Verbena opening with the lavender and iris coming along quickly in a well blended and natural manner. Yes, a bit soapy if you are going to be really critical, but I happen to like that. Performance is good for a fresh fragrance. Will be one of my top three spring/summer fragrances for '19.

Sounds like a Green Irish Tweed clone to me...
