Emir Frenetic Tobacco Honey

Compared to Maison Alhambra's Tabac (now Smoky), which smells basically like Tobacolor but not as deep or as nuanced, Frenetic Tobacco Honey is a bit sweeter and has a very slight shampoo undertone, which I enjoy. Unfortunately, it has less duration and projection, and smells a bit cheaper when compared side by side to Tabac. It's still nice, but I've noticed how every Emir fragrance I own tends to have poorer performance than the other dupes, and the scent profile tends to deviate away from the original. Oh, and the cap peeled off. The Emir line's caps and labels are so cheap. I rate Paris Corner at the bottom of the top Middle Eastern dupe houses, below Lattafa and Fragrance World, which to me make the dupes that are closest to the original fragrances both in scent profile and ingredients nosefeel.

Finally on Fragrantica. This is a great clone of tobacolor. Nice smell , long lasting and more than average projection. Hopefully, rating will improve firtherafter a few honest reviews. I bought this as MA tabac was not available and still difficult to find in the UK. So, this was a blind-buy and to be very honest I was not impressed initially. However, it grew beautifully on me after maceration. Now, I am very much satisfied with this. Surprisingly, this smells similar to insurrection 2 ,though not grossly, a bit fine.

One of the top compliment-getters in my collection! Every time I wear this people stop me to ask what I am wearing. I was so pleasantly surprised that this ultra-affordable scent lasts through the day and all night long on me let alone my clothing. I will buy this one over and over again. It is incredible :)

When I saw the notes in this one, I was very excited: I love a plum note, I have found that I always enjoy tobacco fragrances (have done so since my teenage years, funny enough) and for almost a year now I’ve been really excited to see what “honey” notes can do in a fragrance. When I received it and first sprayed it, I was surprised, because I really felt like I knew and owned that fragrance already. Then, I quickly realized that it reminded me of Mashrabya. A lot! Which kind of disappointed me. I already have Mashrabya and I enjoy it, but I wasn’t looking for that experience in this one. Other than tobacco and the smokiness, there also were no notes that these have in common. I have to say that Tobacco Honey dries down, to me, a bit lighter and a bit more sophisticated. I like it, it’s enjoyable. But based on the notes, it’s not really what I expected.

Honestly it is weird but I kinda like it at times. It has a very smoky and sweet opening. I neither love nor hate it because it leans too far into the masculine category. However, the honey scent that shows itself as the heart and base notes come out is sublime. btw it's a unisex perfume.
