Emir Smoky Leather

Here is my take on smoky leather by Paris Corner First spray hits with a fleeting resemblance to Tom Ford Ombre Leather probably sharing some of the same chemical structures, though that similarity is gone within seconds. About 30 seconds in, then the smoke begins to emerge. For me, it's mild. I’m used to stronger, denser smoke notes in Perfumes, so this feels underwhelming and way too industrial for my taste. My main issue with Smokey Leather is its industrial character. The smoke here smells synthetic and flat, rather than organic or realistic. When I compare it to something like Cuoium, the difference is clear. Cuoium’s smoke blends seamlessly with its animalic and leathery aspects. It feels raw yet refined basically the smoke travels through the warm leather Cuoium also carry this odd Funk that I like. Smokey leather on the other hand is lacking that. Cuoium is like an avant garde fashion piece that challenges norms. Smokey Leather, on the other hand, feels like a watered down, polished, safer version of that. Think Zara’s interpretation of experimental couture... It also doesn’t evolve much. Cuoium is dynamic, shifting and revealing layers as it dries down. Smokey Leather stays linear and predictable. On its own, it’s... fine. I don’t like it, but I’ve smelled far worse. At its price point, it’s passable maybe even respectable as a thing on its own just don’t expect complexity or artistry here. I definitely disagree with the person that was claiming that Smokey Leather smells “ten times better than Cuoium.” That’s an overstatement. Cuoium is complex, textured, and Experimental. Smokey Leather is an affordable imitation that lacks character. But ultimately, if you enjoy it, that’s what matters. Not everything needs to be at a niche level experimental. Just be aware of what you’re getting : a simplified, safer take on a much deeper concept.... Update smoky leather is better than it was after the maceration.. definitely worth the money.

When i first got this fragrance I didn’t know what to make of it, the smell straight of the bottle is super strong, almost making you gasp for oxygen, its really strong, but at the same time very unique, i never smelled nothing like this, not mass appealing but very distinguished! When i later went to actually try it i found 5 spray was waayyyy too much, it was so strong that i couldn’t even get nose blind i was just smelling it left and right (I was in a car for most of the day so it was quite annoying). Later at night when the fragrance dried down it became a beautiful smoky almost balsamic smell that warmed my body almost like a coat, very pleasing, i got compliments but not as in “oh you smell really good” but instead very interested compliments like “wow thats so nice” surprise positive compliments. What i took from it is dont wear this if youre gonna be in a closed space, only in the street and open air spaces, and please never in day time, strictly night time scent. Very good, for the price (22€) its okay blind buy but you may not like it beware. 8/10 (price in consideration)

Emir Smoky Leather by Paris Corner 🇦🇪 is a true beast mode! I mean I can't emphasize enough how strong it is, and I like that in a fragrance, otherwise what's the point of having a weak fragrance? It defeats the whole purpose. 📈 It is inspired by Cuoium, but it smells ten times better as it has animalic notes, saffron, leather and that smokey powerhouse 🌫️ 🌫️ I tried Cuoium and it was just smoke to me, with nothing else! The smoke in Cuoium mutes everything else, which is too bad as you expect an animalic leather from it. (I found out later on that Hard Leather by Laurent Mazzone is the true animalic leather beast of all time 🐆, it's what Cuoium & Nishane Afrika Olifant aspire to be 🐆 ). Emir definitely doesn't disappoint at all, and for the price and the performance of it, it's a hidden gem 💎 A video review is also available on my YT ▶️

In my opinion amazing fragrance. Performance is well above average, the smell is pretty intense. Very dominant leather scent, but sweet background with the vanilla, and a little powdery as well. The opening is a bit harsh imo, but overall the fragrance reminds me of Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. Im planning to let it macerate. For now 7.5/10, great for cold nights and very mature. Edit: The longevity of this is insane. I sprayed it last night at around 11pm, one spray on my wrist. Right now its 12:45, i didnt even have to check if it still smells, i smelled it off my wrist as the fan was blowing. Insane longevity, and the projection is really good too.

On the dry down it takes me back to a night by the fireplace in an old hunters' chalet. Unfortunately, before that it's impossible to smell anything other than the alcohol. I'll let it rest for a few months hoping some of it evaporates. As it is, it's almost like spraying straight ethanol. I do see the similarities with Cuoium, though this is inspired by and not a copy of it.

Very nice smoky, dark leather fragrance. As masculine as they can be, with great performance and a nice scent bubble.

This is like the less intimidating, more conventionally pleasant, distant cousin of Orto Parisi's Cuoium. It's maybe 60% similar. In my opinion, this smells like what people believe Cuoium *should* smell like based on the leather-wrapped bottle design—a classy, masculine, slightly sweet and leathery scent. I have had this for about a year now, and haven't really used it because it was a bit harsh when brand new. But after ageing, it became a lot more pleasant, sweeter, and more sexy smelling if that makes sense. It lacks the intensely smokey, woody, earthy notes, and the musk that you get from Cuoium when it dries down if that’s what you’re after. But I think this is easier to like than Cuoium. You can also layer this with "A Walk on Dirt" by Paris Corner if you want those smokey, woody, earthy notes. I would say the longevity is moderate to long, with moderate to strong sillage, and easier to wear than the original. There are no offensive notes—but it is a very masculine and mature scent for men over a certain age, with a fragrance DNA that might not appeal to everyone.

very synthetic animalic perfume reminds me of slightly of Inferno from good fellas shaving soap which is a scent I was looking for but this is worse unfortunately. Apparently it gets better with time so I am looking forward to that. Edit: Not a fan of the sweetness it has from the saffron I think its really cloying but its significantly more balanced smelling when spraying from farther distance

Barbershop, powdery, smoky, animalic leather. It is more animalic and powdery than leathery. Very long lasting right off the bat. If you are not into dark masculine fragrances, this is NOT a blind buy. Bottle and atomizer are beautiful and top quality. For the price point it is a decent addition.

Bought a sample. First spray and I immediately caught cuoium reference, but after like 5 minutes it dries down to more calm fragrance but still strong. I like it, might even buy it. But recommend y’all try it first before buying.

A fair bold fragrance which can be worn once you want to feel confident in a lounge. It doesn't sit quite easily, it floats densely around you.

Arabic fragrances can be hit or miss, but this one is by far the biggest hit in my book. It is so wonderfully full bodied and manly, feels like a niche fragrance. I had the chance to also smell Cuoium and although there is definitely a similarity and the original feels more organic and changes on skin with time, Smoky Leather is still a great staple if you are looking for something that smells like an old leather jacket worn by a glam rock icon in the best way possible. I got it for my man as a gift and I can't stop complimenting him (although really I should be complementing myself haha).

Not sure which batch other people have who marked it with extra longevity, but mine one, which I purchased recently is a crap. It lasts no longer than 2 hours. Totally disappointed. Taking into consideration that only 26 people put that mark, I think it's not real mark, but put by the manufacturer. Very very disappointed. It's not a replacement of Cuoium. Quality is not even close. Smell may be reminds a bit of Cuoium. The quality of Cuoium is above the roof. But that one is total disappointment, will use in toilette as air freshener. Think of it as air freshener that lasts 1 hour with a bit of Cuoium smell.

First impression on first spray upon arrival yesterday.....room filler off 5 sprays......this is a filthy dark musky masculine bomb of deep rich arabian scent.... so, therefore..... I LOVE IT so far so good anyway, lets see how this develops as the months open it up This is moody, smoky, musky and a wild animal....no fresh vibe here, this is low-down and hungry and dirty and I get a really African vibe, in the best way possible. This doesn't give me a pleasant versatile work-friendly scent or anything modern or unisex, this is almost the smell of homelessness, bald poverty coupled with wisdom and character. Free of social conventions and expectations. Its loud, almost to the point of being ugly but its beauty lies precisely in its grubby boldness and roughness. Its bravdo and courage make this a memorable and fascinating fragrance. I smell an 18th century African village vibe, with horses and a saddler/shoemaker nearby and a campfire near the flowerbeds. Not many fragrances smell like that. Some guys could wear this as a signature, its definitely going to get you noticed and its vastly different to most scents out there. Imaginative and evocative.....Excellent stuff. This is a winner for me so far, Potent performance too....this could potentially end up in the hall of fame I tried all 3 of the Valar series by Emir and they're all fantastic and rock solid performers, especially for the price, but i wouldn't call this a safe blind buy, its not for everyone.

This is one of the greatest scents i have ever smelt. I dont know what it is a dupe of, but you have to be ethereal to smell better than this as an original scent. The longevity it insane. It si so wholesome

If you want to smell rich with small budget, this is the perfume. The dry down is super.
