Ibisco Nirvana

Ibsico Nirvana is, quite simply, a dead ringer for Maison Crivelli’s Hibiscus Mahajád. In a side-by-side skin test, the delta between the two is nearly imperceptible—an impressive feat for any house. The fragrance opens with a brash, tart black currant underscored by a minty freshness; it mimics that first, effervescent sip of a citrus-heavy cocktail before introducing the main act: a jammy, succulent rose. What makes this scent special is how it handles the hibiscus. Rather than leaning on generic florals, it captures the 'soul' of the ingredient through a puckery, tannic tartness. It is evocative of Mexican Agua de Jamaica, balancing that specific floral-acidic profile with a dose of sweetness. The dry down takes a fascinating turn into a 'strange but satisfying' leather, tempered by a creamy vanilla and an animalic oud that carries a distinct, slight petrol tinge. Be warned: the performance is massive. We are talking brutal tenacity and 'scorched earth' projection. This is a scent that demands respect—start with a modest application under your layers, or risk filling every room you enter.

OK, got it a month ago and the process was interesting. First spray was heavy on the leather and minty cough syrup vibes. I still felt intrigued but also a little confused because it wasn't pleasant but I still wanted to smell and find more. I put it away for a couple of weeks and then the rose and vanilla came out more and the leather was more wearable. Felt like a roadtrip in a car with leather seats and a pack of menthol candy with your sunglasses on and a nice cold drink. I put it back in the drawer for another two weeks and then wore it in high heat and wow!! It's juicy, sexy, fresh but also deep. Nothing like I have ever owner before but I find myself craving to sniff the bottle during the day. We have super hot days ahead and I will give it a try on a sweaty day to see if the bright notes shine more. I don't see the comparison with delina, this is way louder and unisex while delina is to me what barbie would smell like.

I was intrigued by the internet hype around Hibiscus Mahajad and wanted to try it, but since I hadn’t smelled it before, I I didn't want to buy a perfume blindly with hefty price tag and decided to check out a more affordable dupe. That’s how I ended up with this one. It opens with a strong rose note, quite similar to Shaghaf Oud. At first, I was a bit disappointed because, while I like Shaghaf Oud, I’ve never really used it much due to how heavy it feels. However, after a few minutes, the rose softened and became much lighter and more wearable. This is a lovely winter perfume—wearable, long-lasting, and perfect if you enjoy a light, jammy rose scent. You really can’t go wrong with it!

Ibisco Nirvana is fast becoming my favourite and most complimented fragrance. I am not very fond of strong rose notes in fragrances, but this one is so unique and well blended. I simply adore it. It is very uplifting to wear and it also makes me feel pretty. The longevity and projection are excellent. The bottle is so beautiful. It is high quality and I love displaying it on my dresser. It smells extremely similar to Hibiscus Mahajad. I highly recommend you try it. I am getting a back-up bottle for sure 🌺🌹

From reading the other comments, apparently this is one of those perfumes that change from skin to skin. On my skin, the blackcurrant and rose dominate, which is fine to me because I really love these notes. This perfume lasts all day, and I wouldn’t recommend more than 3–4 sprays. It’s beautiful for all seasons, and because of the fruit note, I would prefer to wear it during the day. It could be a little offensive in the office.

Omg, this is what I was looking for. This is the sweet perfume that I can wear ♥️ a sexy and confident mix of black currant and rose. I don’t really smell the hibiscus on my skin, but maybe when it gets a bit older? Pretty long-lasting, good silage. Total killer! I feel like I can declutter half a dozen of my perfumes, as they now rather smell generic near this one.

I’m a guy and I’ll proudly wear this. Lovely smell, gets really close to the OG and it’s really potent! Fills up a room and lasts all day. If you like Hibiscus Mahajad then there’s absolutely no reason not to getthis.

Beautifull hibiscus fragrance. Very similar to Hibiscus Mahajad. No gasoline note for me. Lasting power amazing. First spray is quite citrusy. Than the hibiscus and rose are very prominent.

Absolutely intoxicating hibiscus scent. Smelled side by side with Mahajad, and its damn similar, 95% Leather comes through in the end, this is a great unisex fragrance

At first it smells like cheap flowers and mint tea but the dry down, omg, gorgeous!

So.... (Long honest review) I really really was excited for this perfume. BUT honestly, I’m on the fence with this one. Upon the initial spray (I mean this very literally), the scent is magical (for like a second.) The lime and mint is like so refreshing. However, (please take this lightly-) after that initial first spray, it really does give like cherry/raspberry Robitussin for a hot second. Then, after it sits for a minute (on skin), the hibiscus is very prominent and so is the leather (imo). There is no more lime or mint. The dry down kind of gives like an odd skin odor but that’s after like 8 hours (exaggeration) because the longevity goes crazy. I smell 0 vanilla, cinnamon, or amber because the top notes are just too strong. I cannot speak for the black currant, geranium, and the specific type of damask rose (I literally have no idea what these smell like on their own), but for perspective, this perfume smells like a BEAST MODE hibiscus cocktail that’s about to make you forget what you did last night. It’s fresh and like tropically (rainforest)-floral. It’s more like a “cool” fragrance. It’s also so so so so strong. I sprayed it in my room (door open) and the landing area smelled just as strong. In the morning, I could still smell this perfume lingering! I would give his like a 10/10 for potency. I do like Ibisco Nirvana, but it does have to grow on me (though I will wear it regardless). This is definitely a summer scent only and would probably work well on a rainy day or for evenings/ date nights. It definitely is also more “demure” (mature) as I can imagine a “sophisticated” Beauty Advisor at Sephora or Macy’s wearing this. (Maybe even a Spike Lee of Grandma’s too.) Definitely not for the younger crowd. I’d have to wear all-black (or monotone), wearing this perfume or else I’d feel like a clown. It is also a very unique fragrance as I have truly never smelled a perfume like this. Hope this helps.

I've now tested two Hibiscus Mahajad dupes and wanted to share my thoughts. I love and drink hibiscus tea regularly, so I know how realistic hibiscus should smell! Ibisco Nirvana is definitely the closer dupe. It gets very close to the original, but it feels a little more watery, and the hibiscus isn't quite as rich or realistic. The opening has a slight artificial edge that settles down after a while. It's also perfectly unisex like HM. I bought a sample of this so can't comment on how aged the juice is. To me, it feels like it will need some more time to mature into it's full glory. I will come back with an updated review if anything changes! For comparison, I also own Nusuk Johra. To me, Johra feels like a blend of Hibiscus Mahajad and Delina Exclusif. The hibiscus tea note is more realistic, stronger and better blended, which is exactly what I was hoping for in a dupe. It's sweeter, more vanillic in the dry down, and doesn't have any leather note, so it leans more feminine. Performance on both is incredible! They are among the strongest fragrances in my collection and last eternally. If your priority is getting as close as possible to HM, I'd choose Ibisco Nirvana. If like me you care more about quality, blending and how enjoyable the fragrance is to wear, I'd pick Johra. Ibisco Nirvana is an absolute beast - overspray it and you’re in headache territory, but stick to 2–3 sprays and you’ll be floating in a minty bed of hibiscus, blackcurrant and rose all day - and well into the night! It’s a sweet, summery rose with a unique twist, offering the vibrant floral character of Hibiscus Mahajad at a far more affordable price point. Fresh, floral and seriously memorable. It leaves an intoxicating scent trail for days! Definitely one of the strongest perfumes in my collection

Another blind buy because I love ‘Hibiscus Mahajád’ but not the price tag (200-400£) and this is allegedly a dupe. This is a strong perfume, a little goes a long way and on initial spray, you get the hibiscus and fresh notes but quite quickly the leather and amber kicks in; if sprayed more than once the latter notes could be overwhelming. Even if this had been a complete fail, it was so inexpensive so it’d be fine but it genuinely smells similar and so lux!

Liked it at first, wasn’t my fav but still.. got the original hibiscus mahajad and what can I say, I had to remove the ibisco nirvana from my collection because it had a really weird aspect to it that I can’t explain (metal?) It just doesn’t compare to the original, if you’re on a budget that’s an amazing scent but to me personally- something just really ain’t it for me in it... Hibiscus mahajad is just too good tho🎀

Ibisco Nirvana opens with a blast of mint, hibiscus and rose. It's strong, it's layered, heavy and fresh at the same time. A commanding fragrance, I keep coming back to it because I find it intriguing, even though I don't necessarily like it. It is so similar to the original, that if you'd have smelled the original once and then you'd run into this one, you'd think it's the same.

Very refreshing fruity floral- the mint accord actually lasts throughout the wear of the fragrance, keeping it from being overly sweet. Quite strong- like do not spray this if you don’t want to smell it all day.

Nuclear. Thats the way to put it. Just his HM, it performs like crazy. A bit too much honestly. Nevertheless, if you like that scent profile definitely try this.

I am not quite sure what the hype is about. To my nose, this is nauseating, it smells like dust on top of some fruity rose, and it literally scratches my throat. It gives super cheap vibes, and when I heard YouTubers saying that that was a smell of luxury, I was like: 'Excuse me???' Nope, this is definitely not a smell of luxury. But it seems to last forever.

In the opening it feels very similar to HM. However, as the fragrance develops, the similarities are less and less to me. I keep smelling dirty leather in the dry down. It makes me want to respray instantly. Love the original HM and this seemed promising, but unfortunately it's not for me.

This fragrance is absolutely stunning! I’ve never smelled the inspiration but, wow. I’m in love at first sniff. I’ve been wearing it for the past 4 hrs and it’s impressive. Definitely going to need a back up bottle. I highly recommend it for spring/summer.

I have samples of both this and HM, and while there are similarities, this perfume is lacking the warm vanilla of the original in the top. There is a slightly plasticky whiff to this that HM also doesn’t have. It’s not bad, it’s just not an a proper dupe.

To me this is a slightly subdued but very accurate interpretation of Hibiscus Mahajad. I think it is a little more mass appealing and a little less complex, but still very beautiful.

At first spray and for the first few days i didn’t like it. I got such a strong screechy lime up my nose i felt like i made a bad blind buy. I let it sit on my shelf a few days and would check back on it from time to time. It definitely comes together with time. The dry down is far more pleasant that club de nuit imperial and so is the top notes too. CDN is way too sharp and nose burning to me i may give it away as a gift. Maybe it will get better but i got it days if not a week before this one and it’s still too strong whereas this one while similar to that cdn and delina dna is not unpleasant. It dries down a little sweeter and there’s just something about it that’s slightly warmer in the end and just makes me smile in delight unlike cdn Imperiale where that sharpness never goes away. I already ordered a back up bottle as this is a small bottle and i foresee myself using it a lot especially now in the summer time. Update 3/24/2025: this is now one of my all time favorite perfumes!! I ordered two up bottles. It needed time to blend and man oh man!! For decades I’ve loved Lolita’s Lempicka for its sweet sexy simple fruity character and this doesn’t fall behind. What i love is that it’s a little bit more mature, like how Lolita was me in my 20s and 30s ibisco is me in my 40. Still sweet and sexy and simple but just a little more seasoned with added depth! I’m absolutely in love! Possible new signature scent. And i have over 100 perfumes! That’s saying a lot! And performance is a beast!! I have 80 + middle eastern perfumes and many are so weak. THIS IS STRONG but in a great way! I can smell myself all day and I love it! Worth every cent!

Let me start by saying I've never smelled the OG so this is my review of this as a stand alone fragrance. It opens soooo beautiful, fresh, sweet and slightly fruity. Just a fascinating sweet floral. I was impressed at first sniff. Within 5 minutes it goes completely south for me. This prominent chemical smell emerged and taken over the beauty that was the opening. I have tested on skin and paper twice now. First spray and after two weeks of sitting. One reviewer called it a gasoline smell and I kinda get that but this chemical smell is even less pleasant. Gasoline is a smell that I would keep smelling in a 'weird' it's almost pleasant or I can't stop sniffing way, lol. The beautiful opening is buried so far under this pungent scent that can't possibly be leather. The strongest leather fragrance I've smelled is Zara Leather Jardin and WOW that leather is strong!!! You'll have a bottle for three generations! But IN is something else.The ingredients are not coming together in my bottle ! I'm going to continue letting IN sit and come back in a month or two. Hopefully that beautiful scent comes back for good.Fingers crossed 🤞🏽. I had to wash my arm twice to get it off and spray a super sweet fragrance on top to stop smelling it! Edit 11/18/25: The fragrance has gotten slightly better and I mean slightly. The opening sticks around a bit longer, but it still turns into a chemical scent tmn up close. It smells better in the air. It's been 7 months!!! I'm going to give it a few more before I give up.

Now I know this is a weird complaint given the name of this, but all I can smell is the hibiscus. It’s like one of those typical fruity teas that they’ve added hibiscus too and it’s all you can taste. Sickeningly syrupy with a screechy tartness. I guess I was hoping for a little of that syrup and tartness, but for it to be balanced by the fresh mint and grounded by the leather, but I think what I’ve learned (both from it as a fragrance note, as well as an ingredient in many fruit teas) I’m just too hypersensitive to hibiscus. I’m gonna let this one sit for a few months so that it can do some self reflection in the hopes that some of the other notes start shining through and help dial back the dominance of the hibiscus. I want to like this, but for now it’s just headaches-ville and makes my nose hairs curl so I don’t have high hopes. I wish my olfactory system enjoyed this the way so many of you seem to! Sorry Ibisco Nirvana, it’s not you, it’s me.

Wearing this today and I must say this is LOVELY!!! Ah!! It’s sweet but not too sweet. It had such a lovely composition! It makes me smell absolutely delicious! I don’t care if others don’t like it because I honestly cannot see what there is to not like! The opening is fresh and the dry down and rest of the day is a beautiful sweetness that is just such a perfect blend of fruits and flowers and vanilla and hibiscus and a hint of citrus. I’m so obsessed with this. I have two back up bottles. And to think I didn’t like it at first! It sat for a week and wowwy wow wow wow!! Edited to add that I don’t get any leather or gasoline or weird scent at all by the way. Not sure what that’s all about. I get a sweet, syrupy, hibiscus fruity floral magical potion.

I don't know what is it about me and this type of DNA... I had the OG Hibiscus Mahajad that I fell inlove with from the first sniff in the store.. then it gave me a hideous nauseous feeling and I have sold it. A year later heard about this fantastic dupe and all the hype around it being a 100% SAME fragrance, same intensity, same depth, same magic.. so I had to have this one hoping that maybe this time it will not give me a massive headache and nauseousness... but no, it still does!!! and why you ask?! Because it's a PERFECT 100% dupe like they've said!! Damnnn So if you love the OG but don't want to pay the high price, grab this one immediately!

Based on the individual notes I should enjoy this but nope. This is gross. I think it’s the lime, cinnamon and leather notes in combination. They miraculously make the whole blend smell like something is rotting. I’ll hold onto it and try it again in a few months. Maybe - hopefully - my perspective, or the scent itself, will change. Now I’m curious about whether the OG, HM, would give me the same impression, but I’m not willing to spend a cent on a sample to find out.

I’ve had my bottle for almost a year and at first it was too much lime and mint, then slowly it grew to be a sweet very pleasing rose, but now the leather is getting soooooo strong that it’s becoming repulsive to me. I tried wearing it dang it made me feel sick. I don’t think I can keep my bottle, gonna probably put it up for sale on Mercari 😢

I bought this blindly after seeing countless reviews claiming it was a spot-on dupe for Hibiscus Mahajád, a fragrance I had the chance to smell and absolutely fell in love with. Unfortunately, due to the high price tag of the original, I decided to try this more affordable alternative. Let me save you some time (and money): this is not even remotely close to Hibiscus Mahajád. Not in scent, not in feel, not in quality. I genuinely tried to give it a chance, but this perfume turned out to be an absolute disaster on my skin. The scent was harsh, cloying, and overwhelming in the worst way,it gave me a terrible headache and even made me feel nauseous. I’ve been trying to scrub it off for hours and it just won’t go away. If anything, the longevity is unfortunately the only thing working and not in a good way. I rarely leave harsh reviews, but I felt completely misled by the hype. If you’re looking for something similar to Hibiscus Mahajád, sadly, this is not it

Disgusting. Sickly sweet with synthetic hibiscus tea aroma. I thought there was some freshness with the top notes listing mint and lime, but this swill is just vile and cloying. First fragrance i threw away because I would feel bad foisting it on a friend.

BIGGEST fragrance let down in a while! Was so excited for this combination of notes. Black current, mint, hibiscus, rose, vanilla, cinnamon is a promising premise! However, it is plainly repulsive. Smells identical to expo marker cleaning spray.

This perfume is so so so similar to Hibiscus Mahajad. I had already sampled the original, and had some mixed feelings. Two dabs and I had a headache. But a single dab was magical! Couldnt stop sniffing. I heard so much about this perfume so got this one just to see if its wearable and hoped it to be a bit lighter. But this one is the same, more sprays gives me a headache. Opening is 100% HM to my nose. Projection and longevity are moderate and not like the original but for this price 4-5 hours is a great deal. I guess this bottle will last me forever! If you like the original you will like this one too. Edit: This thing is turning into a beast mode that doesn’t go away. I somehow dont get the leathery dry down. But man it lasts forever. One spray in the closet and the next day I could still smell it as if someone just sprayed it on. If I do 2 sprays my husband starts complaining that I sprayed too much 😄 This is truely going to last me forever

In the air, I originally didn't like this. It does smell like pressed, dried hibiscus petals, it's sweet and and herbaceous. I put it away on the rejected shelf, but then, weeks later, I put on an undershirt and could NOT stop inhaling the perfume in the shirt. I figured out what it was and it was this. I tried it again. To me it remained odd to my nose but boy did I get compliments. The next time I wore it, I layered it with fursan white. The creamy coconut, white floral sweetness really lifted this. I love it layered!

I've just got it. Performance is lacking, probably need some maturing. It is a disappointment though, because this smells exactly like Ajwad by Lattafa! The same metallic note, moderate sweetness. Does not compare to Hipster Oud, which is one of my most favorite rose scents ever ( and it is highly underappreciated)

I blind bought it today as it was not that expensive. I agree regarding the dry down smelling leather. However, I washed it off with water a little bit on my hand and the leathery, woody smell has toned down and I was left with a very pleasant vanilla amber combo!

This is a fantastic scent, you really get what you pay for and it certainly doesn't smell cheap, lasts a long time on the skin and even longer on clothes. I get the tea note and the mint. Some smell a gasoline scent, luckily I don't. A safe blind buy..

No, this is similar bit not 1:1 This is fresher the mint is prominent here. Way more than the og It smells nice, yes. But it doesn’t scratch the itch. Julianna’s Perfume is definitely more similar.

For me the leather note overpowers everything else in this fragrance. I've been letting mine sit, about 8 months now, and it hasn't gotten any better. Really not a fan.

Lovely I can’t stop smelling my arm, first spray beautiful, I’m getting a watery hibiscus rose note that’s really addictive. I’m very pleased.

There is a strong gasoline note, I think it's leather? I'm going to let it macerate & hopefully it dies down, because it's NOT a good smell.

It smells too much like vanilla with a hint of floral.. maybe I need to let it macerate.
