Khair Pistachio

Fresh, Creamy & Sweet Pistachio... First Impression: I picture a fantasy of driving a pastel mint green moped along the Italian coast, past pistachio trees blowing in the sea breeze, getting back to a coastal villa and opening a pastel mint green refrigerator-freezer for a cold scoop of delicious pistachio gelato. It's a pastel mint green scent, that smells cool & creamy in the air and sweet on the skin. To get more specific on the notes, it starts of with some freshness that has hints of green & citrus (bergamot), but already I can feel the creamy & nutty tones of pistachio ice cream swelling through. That initial freshness tilts it to gelato more than ice-cream imo, true to the intention. That freshness gets a boost in the heart from fruits & flowers, but all the while it's getting sweeter and creamier. This wafts soft but present, while up close on the skin, I get more sweetness. Performance is great, still getting whiffs of it the next day. Second Impression: Performs well after aging a few months. This is a dupe of Yum Pistachio Gelato Kayali, with good approximation & performance. I like this brand, because so far I've liked everything I've tested from them. Sprayed this once on my wrist yesterday. The sprayer is really nice, giving a generous diffused shot. The pistachio is a lot more clear now and just gorgeous; it reminds me of a layered dessert my mom makes that has layers of pistachio pudding & cheesecake on a shortbread crust and topped with a layer of whipped cream . The dry down gets very sweet in an icing sugar kind of way, Could be worn year round due to the freshness combined with heavier sweetness and great performance. This works well alone, but could also be layered with other similar pistachio scents (including Yum Pistachio Gelato Kayali, Toasted Pistachio Bath & Body Works), other nutty scents (like almond), rose (for a Turkish Delight vibe), fresh greens or lactonics and more. Contrast to Yum Pistachio Gelato Kayali: Khair Pistachio is a dupe of Yum Pistachio Gelato with good approximation. As far as performance goes, Khair Pistachio has slightly stronger performance in terms of projection and longevity, but both are great. Contrast to Toasted Pistachio Bath & Body Works: These are both dupes of Yum Pistachio Gelato by Kayali with good approximation, but Toasted Pistachio doesn't have as strong of performance as Yum Pistachio Gelato (as you would expect with a perfume mist). Love them both for different reasons, and they would layer well together.

One of my favourite perfume reviewers was decluttering some of her least preferred bottles in her private collection and this happened to be one of them. I was surprised she didn’t like this because we tend to have similar tastes so I sent her a message asking why she didn’t vibe with this scent. Anyways, I stuck with my intuition that I was going to love this perfume and guess what, I absolutely adore this perfume. I even got a sample of the Kayali one and bought a full bottle of the KALY version and this one is still my favourite. Everything about this perfume just works right on me and makes me feel good everytime I smell it wafting off me. It’s creamy, nutty, soft, sweet and feminine. The balance of the ingredients is so good. I don’t smell like a dessert yet enticing and appealing in a classy way. I can smell the pistachio but it’s not overwhelming all the other ingredients. You can tell there are other things going on like the fruits and florals but I honestly can’t pick out one standout note because they play so well together. Is this unique? Yes it is because besides the other Pistachio fragrances I have mentioned, this can be worn on its own and you will turn heads. And works great layered with other scents too. Will I repurchase? Yes and Yes. Until another pistachio scent can knock this off, I will buy another bottle and allow it to be macerating and ready to go when this one is done. That’s how much I love it. Does it perform well? For the price I paid for it, it is surpassing my expectations and beating so many niche brands I own. It lasts for up to 6 hours on my skin, projects over an arms length and smells amazing on clothes for over 12 hours. I would advice you to take a plunge on it since it’s not expensive and even if you don’t love it, you can gift someone else who will 😁💛💜

Spot on dupe for Kayali’s Yum Pistachio Gelato 33 but with a way better performance. And costs a third of the Kayali’s price. I have them both but I prefer wearing Khair Pistachio because of the better performance. I love my scents to create a scent bubble around me and leave a nice scent trail and this does that for me. Yum Pistachio 33 not so much...This is a scent that was made for gourmand lovers. If you want a sweet, powdery pistachio scent mixed with marshmallows, whipped cream, cotton candy and hints of fruits and florals, this is spectacular. Both as fragrance and performance. It’s soft and creamy, vanilla heavy in the base and has that addictive smell that makes me want to wear it daily. I have half of the bottle left and it gathered me so many compliments this year. This and both Khamrah are some fantastic Middle Eastern perfumes that worth all the hype they get. I am not the biggest fan of Middle Eastern scents, but these are freaking amazing. I have to give credit where credit is due... In conclusion, I would repurchase Khair Pistachio when I run out of it, but won’t repurchase Yum Pistachio Gelato 33! The only thing that’s better with Kayali’s is the packaging and the bottle, but it’s not worth to pay three times more just for a pretty bottle. This lasts the entire day on me and has a beautiful sillage. Cannot recommend Khair Pistachio enough, it’s soo delicious !

Y’all ready for a funny story. I never wanted this fragrance. I am early in this lil fragrance journey. I like things now that I didn’t 6 months ago. Never thought I would wear a gourmand, I didn’t even know what that was. I didn’t understand wanting to smell of food. Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t wanna smell like a cake. I have learned that I love vanilla and creamy fragrances, but still not sure about milky stuff. The only reason I bought this was bc I found at Ross for $19.99. I told my sister I would find her a pistachio fragrance for her birthday, so I snatched it up. My sis lives 2 states over and we don’t get to see one another much. I tested when I got it & didn’t like at all, but hey, it was for her. When I got Felicity, after sitting a week, she completely changed. So I strip tested Pistachio, ummm...I have stolen my sister’s perfume. This changed so much, it is a monster now. It is of course nutty, sweet, so creamy with a freshness. The florals are there, but not punchy. I find it quite comforting, it’s cozy. I think I could get away with year around here bc we have mild winters. It last forever and will project loud for a bit, then you have a nice lil bubble. I prefer day wear, but also like to sleep in. I am a Khair fan, I have 3 & they are fantastic fragrances 9/10

First, if you go into this expecting the skim milk, cellulose gum, and high fructose corn syrup "frozen dairy dessert" with loads of artificial flavorings that is most Western-style pistachio ice cream brands on the grocery shelf or from the franchise ice cream parlors, then you will be sorely disappointed. This is VERY gourmand, and it is an ice cream fragrance, BUT it's NOT the Western-style version of pistachio ice cream. Instead, think of the full-fatted cream of an Indian-style kulfi, specifically Kesar Pista, the Indian version of pistachio ice cream. Kesar Pista is a nutty, creamy pistachio saffron cardamom rosewater icy confection that is both decadent and refreshing on the hottest of days. If you go into Khair Pistachio with that in mind, then you will fall in love, and your mouth will water constantly while wearing it. I consider this a spring and summer staple. I get loads of compliments. It lasts about the same amount of time as the original when worn lightly (2 sprays), but If you spray a bit heavier, it well outperforms the original.
