North Stag Expressions II Deux

Nose Note #995 Paris Corner usually lets me down, but not this time. I'll be comparing this to Royal Paragon side by side. They start off very differently. Royal Paragon is somewhat fresher and the top notes feel slightly more sour and overall different. The DNA is readable in both, but these two are different from each other. Royal Paragon feels a little more pop and North Stag a little more serious. Royal Paragon has subtle Boss Bottled vibes in the opening 5 minutes, North Stag does not. After about 10 minutes the differences become less and less significant. The scent is an dry apple-lavender combo with vanilla. All the other notes are hard to pick up. Men only. Longevity is above moderate, but not long lasting. It is stronger than Royal Paragon. 8/10, it's nice, but nothing very exciting. An easy scent.

Why • Really high Quality Vanilla and Apple • They are blended very nicely. Loved it. Update : Let's understand performance of this product. It's like an explosion . Project really good within first hour than it just vanishes. Interestingly Lasting also fades along with projection. So if you looking for something to last better on clothes . May be Layering with Ibraheem 's Black diamond incense will be Good option as Black Diamond incense lasts hour+ . 9.5/ 10

It took me a bit of testing to decide if I like this one or not as I get that menthol smell in the beginning with the rest of the notes (layton did the same). The bottle improved as I let it sit a few weeks. the menthol smell is not in the drydown. It is a close match to Layton and reminds me of an apple pie. a great scent with good longevity of 7 hours that has become a commonly used fragrance in my collection. This is the best Layton clone and would consider buying again when out.

This might just be the best dupe for layton considering the price its at. instead of spending 80 or more on other dupes, try this. It needs time to sit though, took about 4 months until it shined for me. tried it next to layton and theyre basically the same, quality is very good and it lasts just as long as the original if not more. doesnt project as much and has a weaker sillage but its definitely enough. if it performs a bit weak, let is macerate for a few months.

Amazing scent and quality, longevity on the weaker side, lasted maybe 5-6 hours but it had a wonderful sillage tho, screaming for the first 2-3 hours. For $29 I can’t complain. Mine is 2024 batch but I just opened it and used it once maybe two weeks ago. Will give it a chance to macerate for a month or 2 and come back with an update if anything changes. 9/10 right of the box.

Beautiful juicy apple mixed with fresh mint in the opening. MIxed with the florals and spicy patchoul in the base Excellent and interesting scent. Can be worn by all age groups, young and mature. Can see myself wearing this at Christmas, or a lovely autumn walk down the woods, or a spring match of tennis with boys. 9/10, sillage is excellent as well

Smokey, Apple, sexy, musky sandalwood forward masculine leaning scent. Lavender, vanilla, citrus and heady cardamom, play nice with patchouli & nutty guaiac wood. Extremely close to Layton with ever the slightest sweeter dry down. I love this one. Presentation is absolutely stunning too.

Gorgeous vanilla and apple scent -- opens strong with the mentholized geranium which quickly disappears and settle into lavender and apple. The 'Expressions' line from North Stag also has some of the best packaging out of any fragrances.

Finally added to fragrantica, this is closest clone i own to layton, very spicy, apple, vanilla, in same time dark and mysterious, i think new batches sucks in performans, but this is rating on the one i own 05/23 batch

This smells super good. Those fresh spicy tones combine with a touch of floral and powder. It comes together really nice. Probably a safe blind buy as well. It lasts quite a while. Yipee!

The best inspired-by of Layton ever imo. The quality here is also fantastic, and it achieves the same dense, luxurious effect as Layton (which is unusual for a clone). 9.8/10 imo.

Best Layton Clone I've ever put my nose to. Incredible in every way, longevity, sillage, closeness to the original, I wish I bought two bottles when I had the chance.

Risky blind buy as not everyone like the vanilla-apple combo. Very close scent to Layton by PdM and extremely good sillage and longevity. I love it

what a gem. doesnt last as long as Layton but is otherwise just as good. less Vicks, more vanilla and lavender.

This is a lovely sweet spicy fragrance. The vanilla and pepper dry down are well blended.

Smells divine, absoluely screams projection.Strooong manly seductive amazing quality..

Great packaging and presentation, with a cool frosted dark glass bottle. Great atomizer too. Some might think there are a few tacky elements to the presentation but I like it overall. A solid Layton clone, but as others note, the longevity is not quite up to par with Layton. For me this is almost a positive, as the stronger a fragrance is, the more limited I am to using it because I don't always want to fill a room.

Got mine in Feb this year. Seems like I'm the only one complaining about weak performance. Better now but not close to what everyone else are getting in longevity. Great smell for the time before it disappears.

Way too fresh spicy for my taste. It is pretty unique with the beautiful apple+vanilla combo. It definitely smells like a spicier version of layton and the performance is quite good too. 7/10

It's Layton, from the L to the N. Performance doesn't seem that great unlike others comments suggested, it's average. Still, it's a faithful and quality rendition, so I can't bash it.

blind bought it i will do a detailed update on this Update: this is the most accurate clone of layton,it starts off with that juicy bergamot,apple and mandarin orange mix then that fresh spicy lavender comes in with that beautiful PDM layton vanilla that really brings a gorgeous depth to it, u can really notice the PDM dna on this one its a very good fragrance and layton is one of my favourite fragrance,sillage and longevity is strong i get about 8 hours with strong projection for the first 2-2,5 hours and it just truns into a bubble but it will be leaving scent trails and it will turn heads if u love layton you will love this even more and it isnt like very very sweet but it has that sweetness that everyone can enjoy 9/10.

I'm getting mixed feelings from this, i picked up Nishine Ani in the opening and then it dried down to a spicy-er version of Layton (spicy layton). It has too much pepper, but it's interestingly unique, just not for me.

By far the best layton dupe. For me it lasts about 6 hours with decent sillage.
