Ophidian Sweet Surrender

Guess what, I'm back to loving it! Once you understand what it is going for, this perfume is actually absolutely 10/10. It is a beautiful sugary spicy fruity with a dark background where the cacao wafts. I am also picking up more of the citrus which brings freshness to the perfume. The blend in the background gives a rich perfumey smell which is what was previously coming across medicinal. Now that it has had more time to sit I realize it is the spicy notes and woodiness which honestly is gorgeous. It's a wonderful pyramid base which is more captivating than I previously thought. Further update: I finally got my hands on Nebras which I had been dying to smell because of the similarities and the verdict is..Sweet Surrender is superior! They are the exact same scent but Sweet Surrender is far more potent to my nose and has more of a syrupy quality to it, from the opening berry to the chocolately drydown, it is addictively sugary. Much sweeter and louder projection. Sweet Surrender just smells like a more expensive perfume, like a designer perfume smell opposed to Nebras, which is quite linear and powdery and flat. The cacao note is a little deeper and more prominent in Nebras, but the total blend of Sweet Surrender feels more like a fresher complete perfume to me. So get Sweet Surrender if you are deciding between the two!

Sweet Surrender is exactly that, a warm, cozy coco, sweet vanilla. Smells like a cup of hot coco drizzled with berry syrup. This baby didn’t need any sit time, but she is still in the cold, dark closet like all the others. I have only worn out one time layered with the other Billie inspiration. This is the performer, great silage. Doing my bed time test, 6 sprays skin only, I smell me before I open my eyes. My nightgown will smell like I doused it & will until I wash. If I spray on clothing, I am not sure it would wash out. If you love this scent profile, this is a fantastic choice. You smell most the notes, the rose is way in the background. The berries are present until the deep dry down, which is a slight woody, sugared vanilla. I have 2 of the 3 Ophidian fragrances, they are both fantastic. So I will be getting the other in a couple months. The bottles and packaging are beautiful displayed together, although my lil bookcase is filling up quickly. 100/10

Wow. What a beautiful fragrance! It is incredibly complex while remaining consistent in calling the mind to the richness of a premium chocolate. It reminds me of a mocha coffee in the same store as a herbal berry tea. Incredible depth and muted, light and marshmallowy at the same time. An elevated gourmand. I never knew I would love such rich notes in fragrance as a typical fresh floral/ vanilla girl, but had a sample of lait et chocolat and was looking to try more cacao notes. Love this better than the Chabaud, which got bitter and cloying, almost nauseating when reapplied. But this takes the essence of cacao and makes it to be so blended and dainty but impactful that it is never heavy but bold and calming. Addicted.

It starts off with a soft orange and berry vibe kinda sweet and fruity but not loud. Then slowly it turns into this chocolate-berry type scent, like dark chocolate mixed with vanilla and sugar. Really yummy and smooth. There’s also a little spicy touch, maybe ginger? But it’s very light, nothing harsh. Unlike Nebras, this one doesn’t have that minty coolness. just warm and cozy feels. Honestly, it smells almost the same as Nebras, like 98% same. If you sprayed both, you’d barely know the difference. This one is just more spicy-sweet, no mint. It’s a really good sweet and chocolatey scent. Perfect for when you want to smell edible but in a hot, grown-up way.

this is so lovely. it has a pretty weird opening, medicinal, but it fades very quick, and dries down to a vanilla scent, which i feel, is a bit overpowered by the cocoa. but im not complaining. its beautiful, extremely cozy, and the longevity is insane. lasts me an entire day from 7:30 am and i can still smell it at night , and im someone who becomes nose blind to perfumes very fast. my friend said i smell like powdered sugar. you can pair it well with VS bare vanilla, the spray and lotion too, they re heavenly together. disclaimer, it ll make you crave sweets all day 😙

This smells almost identical to Nebras, but with a fruitier twist and less creaminess to my nose. I love it, especially since I’m already a fan of Nebras and the price here is so much cheaper. Longevity is impressive too; it lasts longer on my skin and clothes. And I can’t forget to mention, I adore the snake bottle!

Couldn’t stop smelling myself. It immediately reminded me of Eilish. There’s a warmth and a sweetness to it that makes a very cozy scent bubble. Dries down nicely, does kinda get quieter and become a skin scent but still lingers well.

A sugary fruity opening with a vanilla Tonka bean drydown. I can distinct the red berries but I don't find the cocoa note as strong as in Nebras from Lattafa. A lovely sweet sugary scent

For me it’s kinda like lighter, less creamier version of Lattafa Nebras, but also richer. I totally love it. If you like Eilish and Nebras, you probably gonna like this one as well.

This is much better than Nebras to my nose. Much sweeter, great longevity. It’s creamy and delicious. I’m so happy with this perfume :)

It's clearly aimed at gourmand lovers with classic sweet notes of cocoa, vanilla, spices, amber and woody notes. It will remind you of baked goods or hot chocolate. So much so that you might actually lose the aroma in a real bakery or coffee shop. There's some fruit notes in the opening but they fade out so fast as the fragrance moves into the richer notes that they may as well not exist. If this formula sounds familiar, it should. There's a ton of similar competition on the market, such as Billie Eilish No. 2 and Lattafa's Nebras and Eclaire, just to name a few. It might be redudant if you already have a similar fragrance. This is sweet and appealing and works great in cooler weather. Those who dislike sweet should avoid, but gourmand lovers should definitely pick this up. Recommended.

Second perfume review yay! I bought Lattafa Nebras as well as Sweet Surrender testers in hopes of getting a Billie Eilish #1 smell-a-like, but this is a miss for me. It smells of mint to me rather than vanilla, although when I wave my sprayed wrists, it does smell of delicious chocolate - like walking into a room that has freshly made hot cocoa. I think it's a great perfume for those who like the hot cocoa scent! Rather intimate projection, I'd say. Great value per 100ml, and I can still smell it after many hours if I sniff the place I've sprayed, but not much projection. Overall I think it's decent.

Blind bought this one, beautiful bottle and interesting profile. I got what I expected when I first sprayed it on my skin, warm and sweet but with a little kick. And then I smelled this weird note, almost like cilantro?? And now that’s all I can smell and I haven’t reached for it once, just the occasional test to see if the soup smell has maybe aged out of it. Maybe it was my own skin chemistry but I felt so betrayed by this beautiful, beautiful perfume:(

Very similar to Eilish and Nebras, which are my favorite perfumes, but the rose and spice notes take away the creaminess and comfort the others have. It has the same DNA, but these notes are more dominant and slightly change the essence of the perfume. The dry-down is less noticeable, but I can still feel the wood note and the rose, almost reminiscent of incense. I’ll wait for it to macerate. That said, I still prefer Nebras as the best dupe so far.

I am not a fan of this. On me, it kicks off as sweet and herbal, then never really settles down past a cocoa powder level of sweetness. It smells quite masculine to my nose, although not overtly. I’m going to offer this to my brother, as I think it would be a perfect winter sweet scent for him.

Fragrance Journal Entry #4 Do not buy this thinking that this is the same as mango bliss because it isn't, even for women this scent is too strong to sweet, and I enjoy plenty of sweet senses, but this is just unpleasant, is that scent that you enjoy the first 2 seconds, but then you get sick of it right away, I used it once, and never touched it again.

I’ve owned Eilish, Nebras and Sweet Surrender, and currently use only Nebras. I swapped Eilish because I feel Nebras is more interesting and projects more. Sadly, while I see the similarities, Sweet Surrender turned sour and unpleasant on my skin after a couple of hours. I recommend you try all three to see which works best for you.

Needs time to be macerated for sure. There's a slight camphor scent to it. Very similar to nebras but i.think I like nebras better.
