Oud Indonesian

Oud Indonesian is one of those underrated gems—quietly excellent without the usual hype. It’s a spot-on dupe of Ermenegildo Zegna’s Indonesian Oud, delivering a masculine, pleasantly rich oud that’s perfect for those who aren’t afraid of an oud character. The composition clearly signals its intent from the very first spray: deep, resinous woods with a refined smoky undertone that feels both elegant and powerful. The heavy, luxurious glass bottle reinforces the high-end impression, though the experience is slightly let down by a cheap plastic cap. Still, for the price this is a fantastic piece of work, and absolutely worth picking up. Within this Ministry od Oud line, it’s a top choice alongside Oud Satin. This is a gorgeous scent! If this is the clone, then I can only imagine how great the original would be. I'll surely sample it ASAP. This one opens with oud, followed by an earthy rose wrapped in amber. The oud doesn't overtake the fragrance past the opening. The highlight for me is the rose.. I don't know what kind but it's airy smooth, fresh clean, and easily wearable. It resembles the kind used in luxury soap. Performance is moderate. Maybe 5 hours or so of longevity with subtle projection. Can't complain for $16, I can just overspray/reapply. Great fragrance overall and I think it's a good entry point to the world of oud rose combos. Edit: It's now Feb 2023 and this bottle has been with me for over 7 months. It macerated and now performs much better! At least 9 hours of longevity.

Oud Indonesian is a sweet mature fragrance with fantastic longevity. Wore this to work on a rainy day sprayed it 6am and a co worker complimented me around 3pm during a physical meeting. Oriental rose/oud/leathery combo and I love it ❤️ Not for everyone. Writing this review at 5pm and I still catch scent bubbles...went with 15 sprays though both on skin and my cloths. 😈😇

I just got this bottle so I can't speak to longevity but this is a delightful honeyed rose oud. a touch animalic via the honey but this is really approachable. not huge projection. I feel like this is at the politer end of animalic oud; still a wild animal but one that will linger around humans for a bit, allow photographs.

I have to say, Ministry of Oud,... Oud Indonesian, I recieved mine today...took a test. This is mature and classic. It's not an easy scent, however I love it. Full update in few months time. I need to let it sit and macerate. I tend to macerate all Middle Eastern Fragrance. They perform way better after maceration.

This is probably my favorite of the Ministry of Oud line. Nice animalistic Oud scent. Very faint rose.

This perfume is a testament to the power of maceration. Out of the box, the fragrance is rosy and mild, with the oud serving to darken the rose and bergamot. The oud is there, yes, but it is definitely not the most striking note. It’s just... another rose oud. I wore it regularly. After a few months of playing with other fragrances, I returned to this one and was IMMEDIATELY hit with oud. I had to fight to find the rose I swore was at the very front of the perfume; it was there, yes, but buried underneath the smoky, almost sultry incense of the oud. Maybe it is my untrained nose, but this is the oud scent to buy if you are curious about what oud smells like... the problem now is that I am afraid to overspray it, or to discover what quantities overspraying.

#641 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I think the folks who are reminded of Zegna's Indonesian Oud have it exactly right (the EDT, not the EDP). That's what I smell. It's not super oriental as the rose note is not the predominant scent here. There is a lot of patchouli in this. I think it's safe for most environments, and I paid $15 for this, so it beats the hell out of the cost of a bottle of Zegna Indonesian Oud. But I was not a big fan of the Zegna scent and gave it away, so this isn't really my style either. I'll find a friend who can appreciate it.

My favorite after Oud Royal and Thailand Oud in Cairo. It is unexpected that I can smell a fresh rose in such a dark fragrance. Not rose jam like in Atomic Rose, but a real fresh flower.

Paris Corner is Very Underrated. My fav are Indonesian Oud & Killed Oud Midnight. I have niche perfumes and expensive one too. But sometimes gems like this is all I & you need

I guess I'm the contrarian here, but in a world loaded with rose oud scents, this doesn't present anything novel. It is like the base that others build on. And the performance was disappointing. I reapplied this three times in one day and my wife couldn't even smell it most of the time. If you like this general DNA, rasasi junoon satin or azha intisar are, IMHO, better options, both in scent and performance. At this price, neither the oud or rose are the real deal, so for those buying this line to compare how the ouds from different countries smell, you will only be comparing what the designer feels are the differences by combining synthetic accords based on what the manufacturer feels are the differences.

I do have Ermenegildo Zegna Indonesian Oud, and I love it. It is the closest thing to The Night from Frederic Malle. Will not say anything positive or negative about Oud Indonesian from Ministry, but if it is anything close to the original one, I'm sure is a good one. Paying close attention to what people are saying about it.

The opening smells like being around sheep and cows After the sheep and cow smell it settles to a typical oriental rose just like 90% of the oriental cheap perfumes smell. Ps: I like the smell of cows and sheep.

It's a great scent but hard to pull off. Quite strong and might give people a headache if you over-spray. I think 2-3 sprays of this is good.
