Sunrise Killer Oud

I blind bought this out of curiosity and satisfaction with my reflection and interlude man samples as well as my interlude man clone, I have never smelled Sunshine Man. Amouage makes interesting fragrances and I'd like to smell them but whenever I look at the prices of buying a bunch of samples I figure I might as well blind buy a clone. Flawed logic I'll get over soon enough I'm sure. This was and has not been love at first smell. I love it now as it's macerated somewhat and the scent has grown on me but it's not a strong love. The opening is strong and a little headache inducing if I stick my nose in it for too long or too often. To me it has a strange aromatic sweetness I haven't smelled in any other fragrance. I think the description of orange vanilla cream is accurate. To me the balance of the orange, tonka, vanilla and lavender produces that and it's nice and strangely not off putting in a fragrance that works well in hot weather. The thing that threw me off at first and still makes me curious about the scent is the brandy and immortelle notes. It's like someone grabbed a earthy bouquet of weeds and dried grass and tossed them on a dessert and poured a little brandy on as well. It is hard for me to envision who would wear this. Sweetness in fragrances seems youthful to me but the sweetness here is matured by the aromatic, herbal notes. The fragrance leans slightly masculine, has great longevity and sillage. I can understand why Sunshine Man was discontinued this is not a mass appealing sweet fragrance but a very unique one. Anyone fittingly energetic and bucolic, regardless of age or gender could wear this as a signature scent. I enjoy this fragrance it is pleasant and interesting, but if I ever get around to selling decants or bottles I don't use this would go simply because I'm not a fit for it. Update: After having this for almost a year I have really come around to it. It really is a fun, eccentric and sweet summer scent. It's not my go to for these summer days but I love wearing it when I do. It puts me in a good mood, the kind I envision the scent portrays.

#920 in my "Tour de Fragrance" They telegraph their intention by approximating the artwork on the front of the Amouage "Sunshine Man." This is definitely a clone of that scent and a good one, very sage-forward like Sunshine Man so comes off more herbal than you expect, almost verging on an incense scent. Car pool, elevator and small office safe. Versatile enough for any purpose, but this is strongly projecting and long-lasting so easy does it.

I have finally got my hands on this clone after wanting it for so long, i had to order all the way from canada and i am from EU, but it was worth it and i love it so much, 1:1 of amouage sunshine, by far my favorite fragrance from the house of amouage - boozy, orange and gourmand fragrance which really suits my taste. Absolute masterpiece from Paris Corner as per usual. 10/10

Definitely a clone of Amouage Sunshine Man which I bought some years ago and use sparingly as it is now discontinued. So pleased to find this much cheaper scent. Not as smooth or refined as Amouage, but for the price I doubt anyone is likely to know except me and I can use far more often.

I have never gotten my hands (or nose) on Sunshine Man, so I cannot compare the two. Sunrise by Paris Corner's Killer Oud collection is a warm, inviting, and gentle masculine fragrance. It captures a sunny morning quite well.

Very good clone of Amouage Sunchine Man. Good longevity and projection. This may be a choice for a day when you do not want to smell like everyone else.

I first encountered this fragrance in 2019 & was immediately captivated. Unfortunately, I couldn't purchase it at the time, and by the time I decided to, it was sold out. Finally, in 2023, I was able to acquire it. But now, with the passage of time & changes in both availability, personal taste, and perhaps reformulations, what perspective do I command now? Upon the first spray, I immediately notice the fruity nuances emanating from the brandy accord, which further research identifies as Ethyl Acetate. Yet, it's the Orange that distinguishes itself early on, growing more assertive throughout the opening phase. I can also get a herbal and green-like sweet note in the opening. As the scent develops, lavender emerges as the standout, truly beginning to captivate. Meanwhile, the orange realizes its efforts are in vain; it's simply too fleeting and volatile to challenge a dominant force like lavender. During this stage, an unidentified spice adds a peppery & spicy twist to the mix. Vanilla anchors the dry down with a touch that is so evident, giving the fragrance a sweet, smooth and creamy base, together with the Tonka bean. Inhaling deeply where I sprayed this, I can smell that vanilla and very creamy Tonka even more. Performance is good. 8hrs+ with a good sillage. In conclusion, this fragrance presents itself as a somewhat aromatic oriental that doesn't lean too heavily into gourmand territory and features hints of fougère. It possesses a unique aroma. Similar to Initio Oud for Happiness's distinct DNA, this scent may come across as unusual to many. It seems to grapple with defining its core identity. Despite this, it's a commendable choice. I'd opt to wear it to livelier events or social gatherings, rather than more formal occasions, but that's purely a personal preference. Final Rating: 8.2

Side by side compare with Amouage sunshine man. For the first 5 mins or so, I didn't detect the bramdy note, and there was a synthetic alcoholic smell. Then it starts to shine. I definitely get the orange, and the rum note does take a little longer to come through compared to the OG. Overall I love it! On dry down I can't tell the difference. I'll use this for daily wear, and use my decant of Amouage for special occasions, not that there's any detectable difference to my nose. Definitely a day time scent suitable for work or casual wear, spring summer and autumn are perfect for this imo. Scent 10/10 Longevity 8/10 (7 hours +) Sillage 8/10 (2 feet for about 2 hours)

It's worth noting that the opening is quite different, less herbaceous and heavier on the sweetness. The OG has a creamy, sunscreen like aspect that this doesn't really capture. It's overdosed in sweetness compared to the original. Overall, it's a 7/10 clone. **Edit - After letting this sit for nearly 3 weeks, it has gotten that creamy, orange icicle drydown. Opening is still different, but the dry down is actually really close. 9/10 clone.

I've been wearing this fragrance at home so far and overall I can say I'm enjoying it. It's obviously not a blind buy. I think you should familiarise yourself with this profile beforehand. It may seem too sweet, but after an hour, that sweetness settles down and doesn't bother you anymore.

It’s truly a messy and chaotic impact on my skin at the opening but getting better in drydown. I've never smell the original before but this fragance not for newbie.

On a test strip I was ambivalent but I like it on skin! It's giving Sprite.

Just a little bit diferent opening (as the innorteles are in higher dosage but I like it)- only for 5-10 mins but after that it's basically the same scent as Amouage Sunshine. Very potnet, nothing harsh, nothing chemical, just as smooth, creamy beautiful Sunshine. Lasts half of day on skin, very good sillage. Worth every penny as it costs 5% from the price of the OG. Bought 2 more backups. Very beautiful

I have yet to try this but I thought I'd comment that the killer oud line is primarily Amouage clones hence why this fragrance is a part of the killer oud line despite lacking oud as a note

One word : disgusting. Don't buy. Smells like vanilla orange cake + medicinal minty freshness 🤢
